Kiss (Bally 1979)
By UnclePaulie
"You wanted the best, you've got the best!! Kiss!"
Bally's 1979 Kiss had a production run of 17,000 units, it is the seventh most produced pinball machine in history. The theme is based upon the legendary self proclaimed "Greatest Band in the World", Kiss. Featuring members from the 1977 group costume era.
Thanks to @redbone for creating a high resolution playfield from various sources, including a high resolution playfield overlay scan provided from ClarkKent. Redbone spent countless hours stitching, updating, and touching up the playfield to get looking as close to an actual full, high-resolution scan. He also assisted on so many other graphics including the plastics, flippers, spinners, apron, and targets! Also thanks to Hauntfreaks, as I used his brand new backglass for VR.
This table was done from scratch placing everything, and implementing the latest VPW (2025) standards, physics, alllamps and 3D inserts, backglass for desktop, roth drop and standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid, Flupper style bumpers and lighting. I also baked the GI and interior wood walls. I've once again studied hours of videos to ensure accurate placement, gameplay, bounces, physics, etc.
This table requires BOTH the kisse.zip AND the kiss.zip ROMs to work.
I've provided a .nvram file for the ROM menu settings, and I've hard coded the DIP switch settings as usual.
This table is loaded with options in the F12. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, screw caps, spinners, targets, aprons, pegs, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, and plenty of other VR stuff, including LED undercab lighting.
Please NOTE there are several items to consider on the ROM settings: The default settings for the ROM options are hard coded into the script and are based on the recommended values from Bally for 3 ball conservative play. If you want to change the ROM settings themselves, you need to change the "SetDIPSwitches to 1" in the script, and then use the F6 menu to change. However... I am not able to hard code the ROM menu options. Typically, there are levels of score achievements that award a free play. The default ROM has that set to off. I've included an nvram file you can use that sets that to match the instruction/score cards and Bally's recommendation (280,000 and 520,000). I also have instructions in the script on how to change that if you wish to do yourself.
Thanks again to Redbone, ClarkKent, and to everyone else from the VPW team that provided testing and feedback!

Avengers Pro (Stern 2012) 4k Mod v1.3.1
By cheese3075
Greetings all-
This is a 4k mod based on the v1.1 table by @Hanibal2001. I spent MANY MANY hours cleaning, straightening and manually redrawing tons of art. I also moved the Captain America lights to a viewable position, which matches other table releases. Fixed a light that wasn't setup correctly, and some minor adjustments to other pf elements. Thanks @masonm for beta testing and catching bugs. Thanks to all the people who have spent time in the table in the past: 32assassin, DJRobX, Hauntfreaks, Gtxjoe, Rascal, freneticamnesiac, steely, Sliderpoint, Neo, bigus1, masonm, retro27, UnclePaulie, TastyWasps
If you are using a pup, set line 95 to true in the script.
If you are using a non-color rom, set comment line 131 and uncomment line 130.
If you want classic instruction cards, set line 20 to 0, 1 or 2.
Realistic hulk vs toy hulk, line 19. Thanks @MachWon!

Alien Star (Gottlieb 1984)
By UnclePaulie
Gottlieb's 1984 Alien Star! Journey to an Alien Star for a pinball battle in space! Multiball, skill shots, and plenty of fast action! So much fun to play! Thanks to Borgdog for providing original playfield and plastic scans, cabinet stencils, and physical measurements of his actual table. He also had lots of authentic Gottlieb primitives to use, and did a tremendous amount of testing!
Thanks also to @redbone who took those scans of the playfield and plastics and did a tremendous amount of work to get them to look so good! He also spent a ton of time with all the other graphics on the table as well as a ton of testing! Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass. DarthVito did the VR wall environment.
In Version 3.0.0 (May 2025), I started the table over completely from scratch, as the prior version had incorrect table dimensions, wrong VR cab size, and lots of other things that needed updating. I updated to the latest VPW (2025) standards, physics, alllamps and 3D inserts, backglass for desktop, roth standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid, Flupper style bumpers and lighting. I baked the GI, AND the metal walls, interior wood walls, spinner, plastic posts, and the reflections on them. Redbone further updated the playfield, the plastics, apron, and other images. Thanks to Borgdog for original playfield scans, image assets, and cab stencils.
Dozens and dozens of hours were spent studying gameplay videos, many of which were done by Borgdog, to match the table skill shots and action.
This table is loaded with options in the F12; including various balls, room brightness, flippers, tents, screw caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, side wall colors, special Mother of Pearl solid inserts, and plenty of other VR stuff, including LED undercab lighting.
The ROM can be found at pinballnirvana.com... alienstr.zip). Please NOTE there are several items to consider on the ROM settings: The default settings for the ROM options are hard coded into the script and are based on the recommended values from Gottlieb for 3 balls. If you want to change the ROM settings themselves, you need to change the "SetDIPSwitches to 1" in the script, and then use the F6 menu to change. However... I am not able to hard code the ROM menu options. Typically, there are levels of score achievements that award a free play. The default ROM has that set to off. I've included an nvram file you can use that sets that to match the instruction/score cards and Gottlieb's recommendation (600,000 and 1,400,000). Also, there are settings in the menu to set replays, sound, and HSTD. All this has been done for you in the included nvram file. I also have instructions in the script on how to change that if you wish to do yourself.
There's also an option for "Tourney Mode". In that mode it'll play a little harder with different DIP settings, which excludes extra ball... and only allows for points on 3 balls. Tourney mode also sets colors and rainbow'ed LEDs on plastics. NOTE: you'll have to start and restart the first time in that mode for the DIP changes to take effect.
If you want to change the DIPs... you will need to go into the script options and change SetDIPSwitches to 1, then open the table, hit F6 (that'll load the default DIPS and display them). You can then select various ROM options. Once entered, you can exit out, and restart. That will then set the new ROM settings.
These are the default DIPS that are and set at original table launch:
1=Coin Chute same
0=3rd coin chute no effect
0=Game mode of replay for hitting threshold
1=Number of balls = 3
0=Unlimited number of replays can be earned per game
1=Playfield Special of extra ball (Tourney mode this is zero)
0=Novelty of normal game mode (Tourney mode this set to 1)
1=Match feature
1=Background Sound
Thanks again to Borgdog and Redbone for the playfield and plastic images, the stencils, the testing, and all the feedback! Also thanks to Hauntfreaks for the updated Backglass images. Also thanks to everyone else from the VPW team that provided testing and feedback!

Punchy The Cow
By Anthias
My 4 year old hit me with a concept for a funny character, then asked that we make a pinball game about it.
Moooove like a bovine, sting like a bee!
She's a bovine boxer of a grumpy disposition. She's udderly fed up and not taking anybody's bull. A grass fed Geronimo, a horned heroine, and she's going to milk this thing for all it's worth!
Made with my unreleased LEMESS template (used for Death Note, Murray Leinster series, Meducks, Cat Burglars, Star Knights, Unicorcs etc)
(LEMESS means Late Electro Mechanical / Early Solid State, and is a template for the production of tables in the style most common from around 1975 to 1985)

Dark Chaos (apophis 2025)
By apophis
I made the game that I always wanted to play...
Prepare yourself for the looming Dark Chaos. You must fly into the maelstrom of oncoming cosmic debris and destroy all you can before it reaches earth. Collect power-ups along the way to help you survive the onslaught of meteor waves. Run training missions to improve your ability to collect power-ups. Make it through the gauntlet to take on the final, monstrous, planet killing asteroid. Our fragile Earth is depending on you.
This game blends pinball with classic arcade concepts. I hope you find the gameplay uniquely thrilling. You will be constantly fighting to survive. The game fights back, so keep an eye on your health meter. There are defensive and offensive power-ups, but only a limited time to collect them, so choose wisely. Good luck, Defender.
*Please See Setup Notes Below

Enormous thank you to Flux and Unsavory. So much technical and artistic talent! I really could not have done this without you guys. The game logic for this table was developed using Flux's VBScript port of Mission Pinball Framework which he calls the VPX Game Logic Framework (GLF). Go check it out at https://mpcarr.github.io/vpx-glf/
Setup Notes (PLEASE READ)
Requires the VPX 10.8.0 Final release (64-bit) and the latest FlexDMD. Do not report bugs here if you are using any other version of VPX! If you are playing on a cabinet with DOF, please update your DOF config! Please allow at least 20 seconds for the table to load. This table has a large script, so it takes a little time to initialize. Press F12 in the game to open the Tweak Menu. Rules description and game options are provided. If you want to use the FlexDMD rendered alphanumeric display, enable the "GLF Virtual Segment DMD" option in the Tweak Menu. Press start button to save options. You might need to position the DMD with your mouse the first time you enable it. The position automatically saves. For nice alphanumeric display rendering, add the following text to the bottom of your DmdDevice.ini file:
[darkchaos]
virtualdmd enabled = false
alphanumeric enabled = true
Performance Tips. If you are having performance issues, doing one or more of the following might help:
In the table's Tweak menu: Disable "Clear Plastic Refractions" in option menu Disable "Playfield Reflections" in option menu Set "Glf Min Lightmap Update Rate" option to your display's update rate In VPX Video/Graphics options: Disable all "Anti-Aliasing" options Try using a different "Synchronization mode" Set "Max Texture Dimensions" to something less than Unlimited. Start with 7168. For those willing to live on the edge, VPX 10.8.1 BGFX provides significant performance improvements. Users say that Dark Chaos plays perfectly smooth on BGFX. You can simply extract the latest build to its own folder and run the exe. But be sure to backup your VPinballX.ini file before trying it.

pinocchio.vpx and pinocchio.directb2s
By PinRich
It's Pinocchio - the classic novel by Italian author Carlo Collodi.
This table is inspired by several well known story elements such as Pinocchio’s growing nose, the terrible dogfish, and his quest to become a real boy.
I thought it would be nice to use a color scheme based on the Italian flag to recognize Pinocchio's origin.
I wanted to try some new ideas for this table, but my plans may have been beyond my actual ability.
I moved from creating 1970's style tables into the 1980's.
This is my first table with ramps, flasher domes, primitives I made in Blender, and LED scoring.
Just about everything could be improved, but it's good enough for a first release. Feel free to improve anything!
Please let me know if you run into any scripting errors or other problems. I'm certain there are a few problems.
Also, and ideas, comments, and suggestions are always appreciated.
As always, thanks to the VP development team and everyone else in the VP (and FP) community that has shared code and created tutorials so that others can enjoy creating their own tables.
I tried to put credits in the scripting, but if you see anything that I missed, please let me know and I'll add it.
A few basic objectives:
To light the center bonus lights:
SchoolBook: Both Inlanes. Cricket and Candle.
- Your friends the cricket and Candlewick get Pinocchio to school.
Coins: Both Outlanes. Cat and Fox.
- The lying cat and fox teach Pinocchio a lesson by stealing his gold coins.
Fairy: Light left side F-A-I-R-Y and hit the tunnel.
- Magic from the blue fairy brings Pinocchio to life.
Wood Carver: Light right side R-E-A-L and B-O-Y and hit tunnel.
- Magic in the woodcarver's workshop turns Pinocchio from a puppet into a real boy.
Circus: Light all five circus lights. Tightrope, Tiger, Ringmaster, Clown, Trapeze.
- A reference to the time Pinocchio spends in the puppet show and in the circus.
Dogfish: Light all three fish lights (Sailboat, Raft, Anchor) plus water ramp light.
- Rescue Geppetto from the belly of the terrible dogfish.
Bonus Round: Capture balls in either the Donkey left drain save, or in the Dogfish to earn bonus round multiball.
Donkey: Ball Save - one chance to escape being permanently transformed into a donkey.
Dogfish: The Dogfish can swallow up to three balls.
This table does not have the typical ball launch and plunger lane. Instead, the plunger key launches the ball directly.
There are several real-world tables that use a "launch" button instead of a plunger, but most of them still have a launch lane.

Phase II (J. Esteban 1975)_Teisen_MOD
By teisen
First I would like to thank Loserman76 for the beautiful work... wherever he is playing pinball!
small changes were made only aesthetically, to my liking...
small improvements in the playfield, plastics, lighting, flippers position...
version used was 1.0, follow the link to the original table https://www.vpforums...&showfile=16027
Description of Loserman76:
This is a J. Esteban "reskin" of Gottlieb's Spirit of 76/Pioneer/New York
This release wouldn't be possible without the following:
Carlos Guizzo who provided the images of this unique table
Halen who did the redraws needed so this will work in VP
Like all of my releases, hold down the left flipper for 3 seconds when not playing a game to set the options.
ZIP includes a wheel image and directB2S
This is for personal use only. DO NOT include this in any pre-packaged ZIP of tables for commercial/non-commercial products. You know who you are. Just enjoy what is provided for FREE instead of trying to earn a buck from our community's work.
Any mods, require permissions from ALL of the above folks listed as primary contributors for this table.

Mata Hari (Bally 1978)
By UnclePaulie
Bally's 1978 Mata Hari had a production run of 16,260 units, it is the ninth most produced Pinball machine in history. The theme is based upon the legend of Mata Hari, aka Margaretha Zelle (1876-1917) who was a popular exotic dancer throughout the early 20th century. She was accused and convicted in France of “Consorting with the Enemy” during World War I, which led to her being executed by firing squad.
Thanks to Apophis for providing a high resolution playfield scan. Thanks also to @redbone for updating, scaling, and cleaning the playfield up, as well as assisting in the many other graphics including the plastics, flippers, apron, and targets! I used Hauntfreaks backglass for VR. And thank you to Tomate for helping with the saucer primitive.
This table was done from scratch placing everything, and implementing the latest VPW (2025) standards, physics, alllamps and 3D inserts, backglass for desktop, roth drop targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid, playfield mesh for the saucer, Flupper style bumpers and lighting. I also baked the GI and interior wood walls. I've once again studied hours of videos to ensure accurate placement, gameplay, bounces, physics, etc.
I've provided a .nvram file for the ROM menu settings, and I've hard coded the DIP switch settings as usual.
This table is loaded with options in the F12. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, screw caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, and plenty of other VR stuff, including LED undercab lighting.
Please NOTE there are several items to consider on the ROM settings: The default settings for the ROM options are hard coded into the script and are based on the recommended values from Bally for 3 balls. If you want to change the ROM settings themselves, you need to change the "SetDIPSwitches to 1" in the script, and then use the F6 menu to change. However... I am not able to hard code the ROM menu options. Typically, there are levels of score achievements that award a free play. The default ROM has that set to off. I've included an nvram file you can use that sets that to match the instruction/score cards and Bally's recommendation (200,000, 340,000, and 480,000). I also have instructions in the script on how to change that if you wish to do yourself.
Thanks again to Apophis, Redbone, Hauntfreaks, and Tomate! Also thanks to everyone else from the VPW team that provided testing and feedback!

Good luck and have fun!
v 1.18
- VPX 10.8 broke a lot of the lighting and reflections. This has been fixed.
- Gameplay balance changes
- All characters now have a special slot now to light up all weapon chest lights (I want players to be able to reach Lavos with practice)
- All character ball saves now reduced to 15 seconds to prevent too much craziness during multiball
v 1.17
- Updated POV for cabinet mode so that the table doesn't look as flat (MUCH better looking for cab users)
- End of ball bonuses now working properly (Was not working at all before)
- Weapons' drop target pops up much faster now so that players can't accidentally cheat their way to earning multiple weapons during a multi-ball
v 1.16
- Updated ALL 170 battle DMDs. Now the monsters reflect where they belong in the actual game!
- Fixed the bug that would cause the secret fight to restart during the fight
- Marle's special slot now lights up all weapons chest lights
- Each character's slot now has a 20% chance to light up one weapons chest light
- It is now possible (though challenging) to hit the drop target and ball into the chest area from the left flipper
- Some other small balance changes.
- My goal is to make the game challenging but fair with a bit of RNG to make each game unique and fun. I want everyone to be able to reach Lavos and defeat the game with some practice.
v 1.15
- Special thanks to @friscopinball for breaking the table once again on stream and allowing me to find these bugs
- Streamlined the final Lavos/Wizard fight into a gauntlet so that each Lavos phase comes immediately after each other
- Fixed the bug that caused the Lavos fight to restart all over from phase 1 upon a drain
- Fixed the bug that caused Lavos to keep rescreaming after unlocking the final Lavos/Wizard fight
- The secret battle will no longer trigger during the Lavos/Wizard mode fight
- Prioritized the secret battle theme and the Lavos/Wizard fight theme over the MB theme
- The rare hole bug that generated an extra ball should be fixed
- Various small gameplay balance and quality of life changes
v 1.14
- Fixed the flippers. 1.13's flippers were bugged and was way too bouncy. I was missing a line of code. My fault! Still pretty new at this 🙃
- Made weapons acquisition slings a bit stronger
v 1.13
- Ball save "LIFE" now begins when the ball is launched, not before (Thanks @Kiltem)
- Fixed table music/sound effects for SSF users/streamers (Thanks to @Smaugdragon's stream)
- Fixed some minor material physics errors (Thanks @apophis)
- Fixed dead flip functions to give the flipper more fidelity (Thanks @apophis)
- Added a weapons counter on the DMD to keep track of total acquired weapons (Thanks @friscopinball for the suggestion)
- Fixed the weapons acquisition bug. You can now actually properly reach wizard mode and beat the game! Ooops! 🙃
- Added proper ending DMD. Upgraded secret boss and final battle DMDs (May upgrade all battle DMDs in the future)
- Defeating the secret battle boss now rewards an extra ball
- Defeating monsters now rewards GP depending on its lvl
- Added a short "LIFE" ball save at the start of multi-balls
- Other various gameplay balance changes, like making the weapons slightly easier to acquire and reducing (hopefully) the multi-ball stacking snowball effect (Thanks @friscopinball for breaking the game on stream!)
- Fixed various small script bugs, like the ball count not updating till after launch (Thanks @piratepwnsninja for streaming and letting me catch bugs)
- I don't even know I lost track
