Hello Boils and Ghouls! May I present to you all in pinball land the official Tales From The Crypt Pup-Pack With over 300 clips from the fantastic HBO show, two movies, and even the Saturday morning cartoon, its a different game every time you plunge the ball! I am thankful to John Memeo for the guidance and technical support over the past few weeks, without him I'd still be playing a guessing game. Also thanks to Andrew Walsh for his awesome FullDMD formats, which I added a special treat for you die hard fans. BE WARNED - This is not a family friendly PupPack. RATED R The contents within contain blood, gore, violence and language. I left a lot of the "sex" out of the Pack as much as possible because although that was a great aspect of the show, most of us don't need our better halves hearing moans and such from our pinball tables. I'm sure they already have ideas on how much we love this hobby. INSTALLATION Unzip the tftc_400 folder in your PinUPSystem/PupVideos folder. Make sure your backglass is set for Plugins To change the option all you have to do is click on one of the BAT setup files. Option 1 - Default BG/Topper Option 2 - Backglass / No Topper Option 3 - Full DMD (Andrew Walsh style) Option 4 - Full DMD with borders (makes the video a bit more 4:3) This is my first attempt at a PupPack. I did the first TFTC color DMD, and that took a lot longer, but was easier to compile. I hope you like the direction I took with the pack. I was never a fan of packs that play videos constantly, and have tons of information that I can't even read because I am trying to actually play pinball. So this pack delivers in the sense of audio delight, quick clips from the show, and a lot of Cryptkeeper laughing. If you are a fan of the show, you'll appreciate the details I put into this Pack. I spent my childhood watching every single episode, recording them on VHS, and then watching them over and over. When the DVD box set first came out, I had purchased the first season immediately, and in a few weeks, I found myself at a party in Manhattan where I struck up a conversation with an exec from HBO (I work in the entertainment industry). I casually mentioned to her that I was disappointed that the first season DVD didnt have the classic house intro before each episode. When the next season came out, there was the intro replaced in the beginning of each episode. Did I have something to do with that? Probably not, but I like to think I manifested it. A topper add-on for Whirlwind that uses solenoid triggers to activate a 3D fan. This my first attempt using Unreal Engine to animate a topper with ray-traced lighting and post-processing. I hope y'all enjoy. Thank you to @3rdaxis for providing the 3D model and to @Flupper and friends for the beautiful 4k release of this table. Also, thanks to @TerryRed and everyone else on the VP NATION Facebook group who gave beta feedback and words of encouragement. A couple of notes: Assets are available in 16x9 (standard widescreen) and 3x1 (ribbon) aspect ratios. Run the desired TopperMode_xxx.bat file to load the assets best suited to your display. The videos play mechanical sounds for the fan. If you don't like the sound, feel free to set the screen's volume to 0 in the pack editor.

This table is being released in response to the requests received and to give back to a community that has provided hundreds of fun tables that my family has enjoyed. This is a modified version of what was uploaded to VPinball. All the changes and hopefully most of the credits are detailed in the table script prolog. One obvious change is a playfield screen option menu (F6) offering changes to the game rules to help less experienced players reach the more difficult modes (e.g. Somewhere Over the Rainbow). Installation Note Included in this release package are: vpx table, backglass, ultraDMD directory, and a PUPpack. There are also DOF Configtool entries for this table. The backglass file is large and loading may require applying the 4G patch to the backglass server. The backglass provides information on game progress. Removing the backglass is not recommended even when the PUPpack is installed. There is an option in the table script under GAME OPTIONS to turn off the PUPpack triggers if you don't install the PUPpack. Images, animations and sound files will replace the PUPpack videos. However, the PUPpack videos significantly enhance the gameplay experience. Whether the PUPpack is installed or not, the backglass should still be left in the table directory. This table is available to be modified without permission. However, as detailed in the table script, this table is for private use only. Its use for any commercial purposes is NOT in anyway sanctioned or supported. Thank you.
