  8. Star Trek (Stern 2014)(85vett)(WIP)(FS)(VP9.9.x PM5)

Uploading this table as a WIP the same as Mustang. This table will never play as it is supposed to until the aux boards are figured out. The upper control gates for the top lanes as well as the coil that shakes the ship are on those boards. As it stands now a shot to the left loop will go all the way around the loop while a shot to the right lane will stop in the pops. Other than this it plays just fine. For the most part there aren't to many times a shot to the right lane would go all the way around in the real table so it's not a show stopper. Just wanted to call that out in case you thought it was a bug in the table.

I also know there is a VPX version out there of ST. This table is just for those that don't have/want VPX. This is a PM5 version. It's not as graphically polished as most tables I've released but it is fully playable.

This is a true WIP so all rights to mod and release are given at this time.

I had help with the color changing code but my helper on that wished to be nameless. You know who you are, and thanks again for the help with it.

  9. Showtime Chicago Coin 1974

This is a mod of Compufox's vp8 Dolphin from Pinball Nirvana. I tried to get permission from him, but he's mia. I really have not modified the table anyway, other than rotating it and adding the backglass code. This uses Wildman's backglass from VPU (thanks). Because of the way the table is coded I cannot make it work for more than 2 players. Compufox used the schematic when writing the code, so he's the only one who understands what's going on here. It was a hell of a time, just getting the backglass functions to work. :Whiteflag: Also, I can't seem to disable the popup at the start of the game asking how many balls per game. Enjoy!!

  11. Space Jam(Sega 1996)(Edizzle)(FS)(PM5)

***** Table must be Played in PM5!!! *****
    Space Jam from Sega!
    Thank you list:
Calvin12 (from Pinside) - provide nice bare playfield pics. If I didn't get these, I probably would not have started the table!
Freneticamnesic - primitive ramps, hoops, nets, and backboards
Akiles50000 - Nice HD pics of the table and table elements
Also wanted to say Thank you to Wildman for the great B2S backglass and Arngrim for the DOF
Well, here is the table! Hope you enjoy it. I like how the diverter on the left ramp places the ball on the left or right flipper based on what shots you are trying to hit in that mode. There is an opening on the ramp to drop weak shots down near the pop bumpers. It rarely happens, but if you see the ball fall down off the ramp there, it's supposed to be like that! Multiball is fun. I've never been able to hit the super duper jackpot! Please report any problems. I do know once in a while, the wabbit hole will eject the ball and the ball will go right back in. I guess it's like a real table with a weak kicker! I tried adjusting it and that was the best compromise I could find. I was trying to simulate the ball rolling around into the hole, but it doesn't seem to work well in PM5. Oh, it should also be noted that I am aware that the shot clock is supposed to be on top of the backboard. I stuck it to the left to allow it to be slightly larger and easier to read, and to not require so much head space.
****Really not sure why but some people seemed to experience a weaker plunger that wasn't strong enough to send the ball into play and had to increase the mechanical strength of the plunger from 40 to 60. Honestly, I'm not sure why.

  13. Sharkey's Shootout (Stern 2000) physmod.zip

This table works on physmod2 through 5.
Physmod5 is available here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27416. If you have VP9.90 installed, this should be a drop into your vp folder and run type executable. If you don't, you will have to configure the keys and video options. As with any of the DX9 versions, you should use windowed full screen mode. More information here: http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27416
Required table: Sharkey's Shootout (Stern 2000).vpt from Freneticamnesic
    -Fixed for physmod
    -Updated some sounds
-Updated ball. Sorry, I cant track that darker ball well with my bad eyes.
    Special Thanks:
Freneticamnesic for making a really awesome version of Sharkye's Shootout.
mukuste for making an awesome physics enhancement to visual pinball. This makes the game actually playable.
Physmod is the in-test update for visual pinball physics. It implements a rolling ball with ball spin and proper flippers. Shots can actually be aimed now. The flippers finally play like real pinball flippers.

  14. Spiderman FS (Stern) (2007) (85vett)

While cleaning up some files I came across this table that I had started and figured it would be a good idea to go ahead and finish it up. This started off as JP's version of which I went through and redid most of the images to match the Stern table, ROM control was added, the FP models were added, redid the overall look of the table to resemble the Stern version and adjusted the physics settings.
I'd like to thank JP for allowing me to mod his table and Randr for helping me get the models right.
I've done this in two version. One is higher res for larger cabs and a lower res version for smaller cabs or weaker PC's.
The rom should be named sman_260. ***remember that the ROMS are not housed here. They must be obtained via the Stern website***
*** This table was built on the Direct X9 VP version. If you haven't tried this version you should as I think it plays better due to some flipper adjustments that were made. It should play fine on the new VP 9.2.1 build but I have not tested it on this version.***
    Hope you enjoy
    ***physmod5 version added

  22. Spirit (Gottlieb 1982)_FOM.zip

Here is a FOM (Night Mod) for the Gottlieb Spirit (1982)
Many thanks to luvthatapex for the permission to mod and to destruk for the original release I believe the mod is based off.
This table must be played with VP990
I've had this version half done on my dev machine for quite a while now and decided to finish it up this week.
    Release info.
Assigned bottom left and right lane save flippers to left and right magnasave.
Fixed saucer solenoid / driver lamp assignments.
Added moving Star Gate ramp - Thank you to the authors of the most recent WhirlWind table for this routine.
Implemented updated insert lighting routine and flasher routine - Thanks to JP Salas.
    Added a bunch of sounds.
Added DOF sub routine for non rom controlled table elements - Thanks Arngrim
Added ball rolling sound routine - Thanks to JimmyFingers.
Added flasher based GI and Ambient Lighting - Thanks fo JimmyFingers for halo GI textures and LoadedWeapon for some color alpha sprites.
Added collision sound routines - Thanks to some code snippets from UW's Monster Bash.
Added some primitive items for bonus targets and some gate brackets - Thanks to UW's Primitive Template Table.
And thanks to everyone else who contributed code / assets to this and all tables released here who I cannot identify the origin of.
Table options available at the top of the script. (All are on by default).
    UseB2S = 1 ' Use DirectB2S BackGlass Controller.
    Color_Ambient = 1 ' Turn on/off Color Ambient PF lighting.
    Ledpanel_Glow = 1 ' Turn on/off Glow above LED Segment PF panel
Glass = 1 ' Render Top Glass effect.
Gottlieb System 80 tables use black magic and witchcraft for their solenoid assignments.
Many solenoids are fired by the lamp matrix via an aux driver board with power transistors on it.
The following table is a list of DOF assignments I have included in the script for devices that are not
    fired by the rom.
DOF assignments currently in the script.
    DOF 140 - Left Magna
    DOF 141 - Right Magna
    DOF 100 - Bumper
    DOF 101 - Left Sling
    DOF 102 - Right Sling
DOF 170 - Top Right Sling
    DOF 171 - Centre Sling
Additional lamp assignments which can be mapped using DOF.
    L15 - Bottom Right Saucer
    L14 - Top Left Saucer
L12 - Ball Eject to Trough
    L13 - Star Gate
There you have it, I hope you enjoy this old beauty. I skipped school many times when I was younger to travel into the city
to play this so it was a blast to be able to work on it.
Please also watch for an updated directb2s I'll be uploading shortly to go with this table.

  25. shivaengine 4

    History:
shivaEngine is part of the full install with Visual Pinball done by Cold1 and myself. It is labeled "Tutorial" in Visual pinball's full install, but it's included with the top gear table, so it's part of the standard package.
A couple years later, I wrote shivaEngine2, which was aimed at the advanced user as a System 9 engine, and mid 80's Bally. It was very full featured, and could do just about anything even System 11 games could do in terms of a feature set.
shivaEngine 3 was a middle ground, in that it had all the main features of se2, but using the modern scripting style of pre-made scripts with "hooks" inserted into the main engine. In it's own right, it is just as powerful as se2, and was designed to emulate all arcade games up to 1985 as perfectly as possible, without needing VPinMAME. There are 4 tables that used the se3 engine, Star Trek se3, Playboy se3, Kiss se3 and Power Play se3. The system is a modular concept, so you can in fact mix and match external scripts if you wanted to, setup took less than 5 minutes in most cases
    se4:
The se4 engine builds on these concepts from before, but already, there are some major new features that are in place, with a lot more to be added.
One of the biggest features of the xse engine is it will adds multiple preset scoring and control routines to standard objects and parts of a common table, (such as drop target banks, lanes etc) using a collection based system. Like the engine itself, this will contain multiple settings for each section, so there will be multiple types of scoring and routines capable for each section.
But most importantly, there is a new menu system, that will allow you to adjust and set any of it's routines, settings, scoring, and rules while in game. In theory (and so far) there is no need to do any scripting at all!
There are preset styles in case you don't want to change the settings yourself, and now a navigation and help menu that helps you in case you do. No more long text files that people don't read anyway in other words.
    As it Stands:
At the moment, due to time, health and real life issues, se4 has stopped development. There are quite a few things that are missing from the table example, but lack of time prevents me from doing them, if ever. It would be such a shame though to waste this, as it could have such a dramatic effect on the community, and actually get a lot more people to make their own tables, so the table is out, and hopefully, people who do know how to script, and table devs, will step forward and help finish the engine.
People who do can just contact me, I will help as much as possible, and still handle keeping track and organizing things, but to help, I have written a "to do" list as a guide of the things I had planned to add myself.
    Next planned version (beta 2)
    Keys and VBscript menus
' - In se4 b1, the system has a menu based system outline using display and text boxes. Though this does work, it's a bit clunky, hard to work with, and very inflexible. I am presently looking at alternate ways, that will give far more flexibility and ease of use. At the moment, the new menu will be more than likely HTA based, as a dedicated webpage system, with far more options and capabilities. As well, it will be far more adaptable with changes caused by new releases of visual pinball.
All work on the engine and example table will stop till a new menu system is done, so if there are people who want to add to the engine, hook up missing elements, or improve the engine, they can do so, as the menu system is completely seperate from the rest of the engine and table.
Just submit the changed table to me, and I will incorporate the changes into future releases, with proper credit.
