  1. Steel Panther 1987

Steel Panther is an American comedic glam metal band from Los Angeles, California.
Fronted by lead singer Michael Starr, the band formed in 2000 as Metal Shop and was also known as Metal Skool before adopting the name Steel Panther in 2008.
The band is known for its profane and humorous lyrics, and for parodying the stereotypical glam metal lifestyle.
The quartet began to gain popularity on the Sunset Strip during the early 2000s under the name Metal Shop (soon changed into Metal Skool, then into Steel Panther).
Their lineup consisted of lead vocalist Ralph Saenz ("Michael Starr"), guitarist Russ Parrish ("Satchel"), bassist Travis Haley ("Lexxi Foxx") and drummer Darren Leader ("Stix Zadinia").

Venture into the galaxy as a member of the last great infantry of humanity. You will be commanded by the great AI field commander T.H.O.R.9 (Tactical Holistic Operations Robot Nine) referred to as Thorn by the troops. Thorn is programmed to have the voice and attitudes of a well known drill sergeant from the twentieth century. The IGF handles all the dirtiest jobs, but prides itself for being the last bastion of civilization when it enters the fray on some of the galaxy's most hostile worlds, where citizens are reverting the barbarism and leaving the good teachings of the civilized planets.

  8. Thunderbirds Are Go!

With drinkcristal's kind permission, I present THUNDERBIRDS ARE GO!

This is kind of an orphan game.  It is considered to be the worst pinball game IRL and was not the best game HomePin produced.  I think the game is playable, though it seems overly complex.  The IRL game didn't really utilize a lot of sound effects from the show, and I think that reduced some of the campy, joyful charm of the game.

This game was produced with the help of Ian and others in the World of Virtual Pinball group.  The WVP group can be found at: https://wovp.freeforums.net/  Check them out!

This version does not have the VR room or the rocket gameplay from drinkcristal's version. This is just a straight-up pinball game.

Also, while this game is based on the HomePin TAG game, it is not an exact replica of the game either.  This is more of an homage to the TV show and has more elements from the Gary Anderson program.  I've used many sound effects and videos from the show and included a lot of Barry Gray's wonderful music as well.

This uses Wildman's backglass, which was part of the drink crystal package. There are several TAG topper videos and DMDs that could be used with the game, but I have not incorporated them into the package.

To play the game, be sure to put the directory called thunderbirdsDMD in the table directory.

The game missions are as follows:
Defeat The HOOD by striking the oscillating target four times.
That unlocks the rest of the Thunderbird missions.  And allows you to launch TB1 and TB2.
Currently, the HOOD needs to be defeated BEFORE being able to launch TB1 and TB2.
Launch TB4 by going through the gates at the top of the playfield.
Launch the Mole by hitting the captured ball target twice.
Light Lady Penelope's FAB light by going up the FAB ramp four times.
The Hoverboards are lit by striking their target twice.
Once all six missions are lit, a three-ball multiball will be unlocked.

And if you are a glutton for punishment, going up the International Rescue ramp NINETEEN times will unlock a five-ball multiball.  This, I think, is what reduced a lot of the enjoyment of this game.  It was stupid and almost impossible to achieve in one game.

    Menu for the game.
Hold the Left flipper for 1.5 seconds between games to activate.

    LUT
Press the Left or Right Magna buttons anytime to change the LUT setting.

------------->These changes are intentionally not implemented <--------------------
Add Upper ramps (I've decided not to.  The game isn't really well designed to use ramps, so out they go.)
Create ball lifter for Tracy Pool (TB1 Launch) (Another one that didn't make the cut.  No ramps, no ball lifter.)
Play mode uses REM music in the background?  (Background music is already being played.  Putting in other music is not efficient.)
Hit Target to change music    (This is a feature on the IRL game.  Not implemented here.)
Music selection has <-SYNTH->            (See above about music.)
    Music selection has <-ALTERNATIVE->            ditto
Fill the bar to reach Thunderbird 5 (Yeah, that's a thing. Not happening.)
Swimming pool lights up    (More IRL vs virtual game differences.)
Need hoverboard videos    (This would be handy to find.  But the hoverboards were used so infrequently, it's hard to find good video sequences.)

Space Gambler was probably the first SS game by Playmatic.
The backglass artwork depicts elements from the Star Wars movies: the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, and TIE fighter spacecraft. Also depicted is a lady with an unusual helmet seen previously on the backglass of Gottlieb's 1976 'Target Alpha'.
Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (2), Mushroom bumpers (4), Slingshots (2), Drop targets (4), Standup targets (3), Rollover buttons (3), Spinning target (1). 3 or 5 ball play.

  13. Saucerer (Williams 1985)

Are you the true master of condiments?

This is an art AND layout mod of Sorcerer (williams, 1985) by JPSalas.

Layout changes? Top lanes relocated back, bumpers relocated back and positioned accross the top sub lane region, central target bank moved to follow the art beneath the bumpers, thair plastic assembly greatly modified to suit, third flipper relocated to the left of playfield.

Based on JPSalas recreation of Sorcerer.

    Requires the sorcerer rom.

    Free to mod.

Includes a basic 2 screen DirectB2S. THe illuminations have been dragged outside of viewable area but left in so there are no errors, but this means if somebody better at B2S than me wants, they can build a b2s with all the lights etc without needing the script amended at all. I would be appreciative of any and all efforts.

I hope you all enjoy this table as much as I am (I love it, but I've always been a bit saucy sooo....)

  14. Fleet (Bally, 1934)

    Admiral on the bridge!

Fleet is a difficult flipperless game from Bally, 1934. This is a the jr version; the sr version was a bit larger with the same gameplay except for additional rails on the side.

Featuring powered solenoids, the goal is to load the bottom cannons (only the bottom cannons are reachable by the player). When a ball is then shot into the action hole, the cannons fire and launch the balls to the next higher cannon. Launch the balls high enough to enter the large center cannon into the shell hole worth 3000 points.

As an additional incentive, balls shot into the action hole (or repeater hole) return for free play, and any balls in the bottom out hole are also returned for free play when the action hole is hit.
Balls in the repeater are worth 500 points; if the repeater cannon is shot, the 500 points are lost but the ball is returned for free play. Scoring is always live: your score may go down as balls are fired, but hopefully for higher points. It's possible to dislodge balls, so aim and nudge carefully!

There is 1 tilt warning per game. If tilted, the score will not count towards a high score. The 3rd screen DMD counts balls that made it to the shell hole. Of course, games of this era did not have a backglass/DMD. I added a few DOF effects for fun.

  16. VPinballX.starter

Small tool to start the right VPinballX version depending on the selected table file.

    To all who ask:
Should I really try out the new VPX release with all the new tables coming for 10.8? How can I use different versions of VPinballX for different tables?
This is my answer to those questions!  The tool VPinballX.starter can be put as replacement for VPinballX.exe in the default folder....
It will start the right VPinballX version depending on the table file. It is meant to be a "set and forget" tool.

Please do not forget to like and review..., what is important for content creators (tables, backglasses, DMD colorization?) is as important for us writing the tool-set!

It uses a small ini file similar to this one:
;A Configuration file for VPinballX.starter [VPinballX.starter] ;DefaultVersion when started without any table param. DefaultVersion=10.80 LogVersions=1 [TableNameExceptions] ;If left string is found in the Table filename we will use the right string to add to the version number search CASE sensitive... Table Name=x32 Another Table=GL x32=x32 GL=GL X74=.RevertX7 old table=.RevertX7 [VPinballX] ;Default value used when not found in the table below. Default=VPinballX64.8-1786.exe Default.RevertX7=VPinballX.7.4.exe ;File versions converted to the right VPinballXxx.exe 10.72=VPinballX72.exe 10.80=VPinballX64.8-1786.exe 10.80GL=VPinballX_GL64.exe 10.80x32=VPinballX.8-1786.exe
    It works like this:

VPinballX.starter is started with exactly the same parameters as VPinballX.exe. First it loads the table file and finds out what version it was saved with (using the same technique as VPX). It takes this information and looks in the ini file above to find out which version of VPinballX.xxx.exe YOU want to run.
It will then run the VPinballXxx.exe that you have configured with exactly the same parameters that were given to the starter. If you simply double-click the VPinballX.starter without a table, the default entry under [VPinballX.starter] will be used or if it cannot find a version stored in the table, it will use the default in [VPinballX].
In this way, the correct table version or the version you have selected will be used. Each time you start VPinballX.starter, a log entry will be added to VPinballX.starter.log stating which version was used. This can be disabled by setting LogVersions=0.

    Table Name Exceptions
A new feature called Table Name Exceptions allows to configure exceptions to the automated finding the right executable. The Exceptions are either that a string is added to the table filename hinting that this table should use the x32 version instead, or can be parts of a table filename pointing to the same string. This string will be added when searched for the executable.
So either you name the table with an exception string like (x32, x64, GL) or you enter parts of the table names into the ini, where you know they only want certain versions (like x32, x64 or even GL)
What you decide here is all up to you!

E.g starting a table needing 10.80 and having an exception "GL" will look for 10.80GL in the [VPinballX] section in the ini. This is made using pure string handling, there is NO logic behind the strings in the ini file. You can define your own standard here.

    How to set it up
Copy VPinballX.starter.exe next to your VPinballX.exe files. Double click on VPinballX.starter.exe and follow the instructions. It will create a template VPinballX.starter.ini that you will need to edit to your liking. The values 10.72, 10.80 (10.74 has no specific version saved) and so on all come from the pinball tables saved in different versions by VPinballX.exe.
Once you are happy with VPinballX.starter.exe, you can rename it to VPinballX.exe; it will take care of starting the right version independent if you are using Windows Explorer, PinballX, PinballY or Pinup Popper...

    Have fun!

  19. Three Angels 4k

Ok first I just want to say thanks to BlindManKind as this was one of the best FP tables back in the day and just an unreal amount of work he put into this game!
Second huge thanks to Randr for converting it to VPX for us to enjoy!
Third thank you Solters for adding VR and keeping this amazing table alive and allowing it to be updated.

I did not know this was on VPX but once I did I knew I had to try and bring this table back to life!
This was definitely my biggest project to date and it was a labor of love trying to get this table how I wanted it.
The the amount of code in this table is mind blowing and trying to figure everything out was definitely a test.
With it being all original code let's just say it was a lot of trial and error for me but I did my best.
I did tons of testing and trying to fix bugs/stuck balls but who knows what might happen.
Just report in the help topic
please leave a like, and comment if you enjoy the content and even if you don't lol

Place the table and .ini file in your tables folder with the same name.

  20. Lilo & Stitch (mod Skateball 1980)

Here's my very first mod, a mod of the Skateball table, created by the talented JPSalas, revisited in the colors of Lilo & Stitch !

This project was born of a simple desire to please my daughters, who are big fans of the Disney universe, and more particularly of the mischievous little Hawaiian girl and her funny alien companion.

I wanted to transform the atmosphere of the original table into a colorful trip to Hawaii, with music and images taken from the film, while retaining the excellent basic gameplay.

A mod made with love for my children, and now shared with you !

If you love the world of Lilo & Stitch, or if you're looking for a fun, family-friendly table, this mod is for you.

Thanks again to JPSalas for permission to modify the original table.

Inspired by the game Disney Lilo & Stitch Pinball

Have fun, and as Stitch would say: “Ohana means family.”
