Frozen Butterfly
By Anthias
Lijie turned five last week. &This was what he wanted to make next. All the rules additions are his ideas. He wanted to put retracting guards over the second flippers and have the player light BUTTERGLY by hitting the nine targets to retract the guards and activate the second flippers. &So that's what I& did. He wanted a diverter blocking the top left channel, opened for fifteen seconds by hitting the lower channel, so that's what I did. He wanted the two additional flippers. And for the first time ever he didn't want a ramp. Because he said, the cool things are enough.
rest of the rules are as per the rom/Big Game

Frozen North (Lunar Howl 8)
By Anthias
Music:
Some lines are crossed in a moment and echo for a lifetime.
In a new home, old streets return in new shapes as the pack is drawn toward the frozen north. When troubled kids from the wrong side of town reopen wounds buried since the early days, two wolves are forced to face the same choice that scarred them in opposite ways. One was seen too clearly. One was never seen at all.
Now the ice is beginning to crack.
This is Luna’s album, an unflinching and honest exploration of homelessness, the wrong side of town, social invisibility and erasure. I was within a hairs breadth of scrapping this entire album as it looked like it was looking like the rest of the album straying so far from what Lunar Howl is as a band I didn’t think it could be salvaged. But then track eight came along and saved it all.
This one was tough, nearly broke Luna by pushing her deep into the traumas of her background, so the band’s creator had to step in again lyrically. But the result? The first half is a deep dive into Luna’s experiences of homelessness, social invisibility and erasure in Montreal before the band. Then on track eight the pack arrives with a bang, and the second half is present day Luna leading the pack into the physical frozen north of the wrong side of town to find the kids (the ones they began to mentor at the end of Sister Storm with the track Pass the Flame) who are missing. Luna sees and recognises the same trauma she survived now happening to the kids. And she says no. Not this time. Not again. Frozen North is the eighth Lunar Howl album and it’s heavy. 16 all new tracks. No two part tracks on this. And every track is a banger!

Pinball:
Lunar Howl 8 Frozen North is built on Shark Hankin 1980. I used the vp6 table by Eala Dubh / TAB/Tinyrodent as a reference. I used the desktop displays from their version, and various scripts from tables by JPSalas, and the VPX starter table. I rebiolt with modern meshes and table components, and rubbers etc. I added manual GI lighting in absence of ROM calls. (I may be wrong but it appeared the Skark rom had static GI)
Shark base rule remain. I added the LH signature ramps with additional mechanics to take advantage of the four flipper layout.
At game start the small flippers are unlit and deactivated, as are the ramp diverters. Shooting the ramps and the left chute kicker increments "PACK" to light the wolves. First wolf activates the small flippers and the ramp diverters. Diverters turn on for a brief time when flippers for the same side are pressed. Second wolf increases duration of diverters and increasing scoring on the diverter lane. Diverter lane grants additional PACK increment. third wolf increase duration and score of diverters, and increases the scores for all drop targets. Wolf four increase duration and diverter lane score again. Wolf five increases duration and score of diverter lane and doubles bumper scores.
PACK and wolf states remain for all players until end of game. The pack arrives to support all players/pack members.
Core Playfield Features for shark
Drop Targets & Lanes:
Hitting the drop targets on the right and navigating the lanes on the left lights up various playfield features and scoring multipliers. Shark Bite Loop: Features a teeth-lined "shark bite" loop and corresponding playfield plastics to add depth to the aquatic theme.
Flippers: Equipped with 4 flippers to help players navigate the widebody layout.
My build of Shark that this is modded from is not released. I do not have adequate art for that table. I may choose to strip the mods out and release a whitewood later. The improvements to the base shark table and physics in doing the mod were sufficient that it is not worth releasing the shark build as is.

Flame Of Athens Allied Leisure 1978
By Itchigo
This is Allied Leisure's cocktail table from 1978. I used Destruk's vp8 as a base, and rebuilt everything in vpx 10.8.0. It plays pretty well. This table is the same as Eros One from Fascination.
Thanks to Flying Dutchman for the new graphics.
This table is free to improve or mod. I made this for my 2 screen setup. You'll have to adjust it for desktop use.
The zip file includes the table, db2s, and a wheel. I'm not a big physics guy. Feel free to make any physics adjustments.

Freefall (Stern 1981) Physics Sound VR MOD
By burger
Thank you JP Salas for making this wonderful table and for granting permission to mod!
Freefall is a hidden gem from Stern Electronics’ early solid-state era, released in 1981 with a sleek look and a bold skydiving theme that delivers fast, precise gameplay. Designed by Harry Williams—a true pioneer of pinball innovation—it challenges players to chase bonus multipliers, complete the “FREEFALL” rollover sequence, and lock balls for multiball, all on a playfield that seems simple at first but rewards control, timing, and accuracy.
Changes in this version, thanks to:
I added nFozzy and Fleep
@studly_do_right improvements of the look and sound
@DGrimmReaper for the VR implementation
@hauntfreaks for the stunning backglass and VR backglass/cabinet assets
@Ext2k for cabinet models
@outhere for verifying DOF functionality after the fleep conversion
Enjoy!
Note: FYI this is another widebody table, keep that in mind when setting your POV settings on a cabinet

Flight 2000 (Stern 1980) Physics Sound VR MOD
By burger
Thank you to @HSM and @jpsalasfor creating the VPX build of this table! And thanks @bigus1 for allowing us to mod your excellent mod
Stern’s Flight 2000 pinball machine is a space-themed adventure for the true enthusiast. As the flyers put it, “Stern’s first talking pinball game is really taking off!”. One of the most interesting features of this game is the 3-ball multi ball. Each of the three balls has its own lift-off stages located on the upper left hand portion of the play field. Steppers, driven by solenoids, also move the balls in play along until kickers can kick the ball into the arch at the top.
Changes in this version:
I added nFozzy and Fleep
@studly_do_rightimproved the look and sound, resolved issues, tested, and more
@DGrimmReaper for the VR implementation
@hauntfreaks for the new VR backglass/cabinet assets and link to new b2s!
@Ext2k for the cabinet models
@outhere for verifying DOF functionality following fleep conversion
Enjoy!
Note: This is a widebody table, so in my opinion it should not vertically fill the entire cabinet screen.
If you want the robot voice:
Press F6
Check/Enable talking sound
Click OK
Press F3
Desktop users can try the F12 option "Desktop VR Mode". Set that to on, then restart the table. Zoom out using Z offset (also in F12) to see the whole cabinet and backglass in the vr room on your desktop. You wont be able to look around but it's cool to see the whole cabinet with the table in it, imo

Foxy Lady Game Plan 1978
By Itchigo
Foxy Lady was a cocktail table made by Game Plan in 1978. It's the same table as Camel Lights, Chuck-A-Luck, Real, and Black Velvet. I used JP's Black Velvet to
make this table in VPX 10.8. Flying Dutchman provided the new playfield and plastics. Game Plan got over eager when they produced this, thinking they were going to sell more units than they did. Since they over produced, expecting higher sales; they decided to retheme the table to use the extra inventory. Back when I was an operator with my dad we ran several of these tables, and even had a couple in the basement waiting on a new location.
Credits:
JP for the original table.
Flying Dutchman for the playfield and plastics.

Friday The 13th Part II (TBA 2019) - GRITTY MOD (source Ivantba v1.0, mod by Arminio)
By arminio
"The body count continues..." In this mod...
Complete color tone changed with some graphic and sound improvements to get more realistic/80's slasher movie feel and look + you can additionally choose between 11 different LUTs, 8 backwall panel images, two flipper colors (all via F12 menu) + new script options to turn on/off drain screams and new light flashes, configure look for desktop mode... etc. Please read below (and check script) for all details...
Friday The 13th Part II (TBA 2019) - GRITTY MOD - made from Ivantba's table (https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=14260) with permission.
I really like Ivantba's original table - but, as a horror fan in general, and especially fan of 70's and 80's giallos and slashers, I wanted to mod this table to get more gritty, cheap 80's movie slasher look and feel. I hope I got it. Well, you'll be the judge
Thanks to Ivantba for permission to mod his table.
Also, with this mod you can use any backglass made for original Ivantba table, but you can also try my "Gritty backglass version" - I think it also fits nice with this + you get some light animations supported by code in this mod. Get it here:
https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/27585-friday-the-13th-part-ii-tba-2019-gritty-version-2025-b2s/
About mod:
There are some graphic and sound changes - nothing too radical because playfield graphic is amazing in original table and audio is really great too, but overall color tone of entire game is now changed - this sepia/brown non-metallic look, fits better to the original movie atmosphere (I hope...) + you now (in F12 menu) have various LUTs (I like all high contrast settings - try it) and backwall panel images to choose and customize look to your preferences. Also, I tried to improve visibility of various table parts (for us who uses smaller screens in our cabs) and there are also big redesign in a desktop mode where changes are from background to LEDs engine, with a support for playing in desktop mode with standard b2s backglass (I know there are lot of you who play tables that way - so, here are some script options to turn off all LEDs and other information on desktop mode background and use b2s on a "clean" screen). Also, some fixes in sound playback are made, some new sounds added etc. ... And now you can turn off screams if you like to play in more silent atmosphere! Check "GRITTY MOD OPTIONS" in script.
Now, I know that some things I did here looks a bit rough and it still need some "polishing", but let's left that for some future upgrade. I just hope it won't decrease fun of playing it...
NOTE:
If you play this mod (or original table) in cabinet mode, I really recommend you to set "View layout mode" (F12 menu) to "Window". I also recommend you to set POV settings. Otherwise table might look a bit strange (stretched, some reflections are not right etc.). So, for those of you who already don't have set all that, I added my INI with my POV settings in ZIP - it is far from perfect but works OK on my setup, and maybe can be helpful as a starting point for your setup.
Detail list of all changes:
Different colors and slight changes in material on various parts of the table with more realistic lighting on most of elements (playfields, apron lights and background added, new lower flippers look, fixed some light spills etc.) Lights are now set to interact with ball (trying to get more natural reflections on every ball on the table) Better visibility of texts on the table New ramps graphics (inspired by ramps from the "Friday The 13th" table by theGhost787) New graphics and lights on some targets and walls (Jason's head etc. with new light flashes on hits that can be activated/deactivated via options in script) Added several playfield backwall panel images, LUTs, flipper colors (use F12 menus to select) Added holes for drop targets (for realistic look) Added discrete shadows to all flippers and to most of pegs on upper playfield (also for more realistic look) Added dynamic ball color and dynamic ball shadow - discrete changes depending on ball position - trying to get a bit more realistic ball shine, shadow and general look depending of a color tone of a playfield (I hope it also improves realistic look and feel) Some new sound effects added, some changed a little, some plays differently by random choice... Intro speech now plays from start (on some PCs, intro playback skips almost a second of speech - fixed now...) New script options to set specific look of desktop mode, light hits, turn screams om drains on/off etc. - check "GRITTY MOD OPTIONS" section in the script for details For desktop mode players: lot of desktop mode changes - from background to content, trying to get more backglass style look - background image changed, logo added, new LED engine (code borrowed from "301 Bullseye" table - VPX8 version, release v6.0.0 by jpsalas), added ball in play, match, high score to date, bonus ball, shoot again, tilt and game over info + added option to turn off/hide all that info, logo and LEDs (useful if you use desktop mode together with standard b2s backglass - check "BackGlassOnDestop" option in "GRITTY MOD OPTIONS" section in the script) Support for b2s backglass lights animations (if paired with my "gritty version" backglass - check details at backglass release) Added some ASCII art at the top of the script (well, eh... looks nice, I think... ) VPX file size significantly reduced (by removing unused graphics, using WEBP image format and by compressing main score to HQ MP3, VPX size is now around 58MB)
And yes - I know that Jason did not use axe nor hockey mask in part 2... But let's look at original table and this mod as a homage to entire movie franchise - so why not mixing things a bit?
All Logos, Music, Copyrights and Trademarks are property of their respective owners.
PROVIDED STRICTLY FOR PERSONAL AND HOME USE AND NOT FOR COMMERCIAL SALE/RE-SALE OR DISTRIBUTION!
Enjoy!

Frontier (Bally 1980)
By UnclePaulie
Bally's 1980 Frontier! Rugged entertainment from out of the pinball wilderness!! Frontier was released in November 1980 with a mountain man and hunting theme, and features a unique scoring system focused on animal targets and bonus features.
Thanks to Bord for providing a high resolution playfield scan. Thanks also to @redbone for updating, scaling, and cleaning the playfield up, as well as assisting in the many other graphics including the plastics, flippers, apron, targets, and spinner.! I used Hauntfreaks higher resolution backglass for VR. And thank you to iaakki for helping with some physics on the inlanes to get an accurate bounce / springiness, as well as the left 3 drop targets to get accurate bounce back on those as well. Iaakki also assisted in getting some insert color tones just right.
This table was done from scratch placing everything, and implementing the latest VPW (2025) standards, physics, alllamps and 3D inserts, backglass for desktop, roth drop and standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid, playfield mesh for the saucer, Flupper style bumpers and lighting. I also baked the GI and interior wood walls. I've also put in some moving gate rods and other movements as well. I've once again studied hours of videos to ensure accurate placement, gameplay, bounces, physics, etc.
You WILL notice there's a slight bounce on the rail by the flippers... that IS intended. The real table does that.
This table is loaded with options in the F12. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, screw caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, and plenty of other VR stuff, including LED undercab lighting.
I've also provided a .nvram file for the ROM menu settings, and I've hard coded the DIP switch settings as usual.
Please NOTE there are several items to consider on the ROM settings: The default settings for the ROM options are hard coded into the script and are based on the recommended values from Bally for 3 balls. If you want to change the ROM settings themselves, you need to change the "SetDIPSwitches to 1" in the script, and then use the F6 menu to change. However... I am not able to hard code the ROM menu options. Typically, there are levels of score achievements that award a free play. The default ROM has that set to off. I've included an nvram file you can use that sets that to match the instruction/score cards and Bally's recommendation (440,000 and 680,000). I also have instructions in the script on how to change that if you wish to do yourself.
Thanks again to Bord, Redbone, and Iaakki! Also thanks to everyone else from the VPW team that provided testing and feedback!

Fleet (Bally, 1934)
By bthlonewolf
Admiral on the bridge!
Fleet is a difficult flipperless game from Bally, 1934. This is a the jr version; the sr version was a bit larger with the same gameplay except for additional rails on the side.
Featuring powered solenoids, the goal is to load the bottom cannons (only the bottom cannons are reachable by the player). When a ball is then shot into the action hole, the cannons fire and launch the balls to the next higher cannon. Launch the balls high enough to enter the large center cannon into the shell hole worth 3000 points.
As an additional incentive, balls shot into the action hole (or repeater hole) return for free play, and any balls in the bottom out hole are also returned for free play when the action hole is hit.
Balls in the repeater are worth 500 points; if the repeater cannon is shot, the 500 points are lost but the ball is returned for free play. Scoring is always live: your score may go down as balls are fired, but hopefully for higher points. It's possible to dislodge balls, so aim and nudge carefully!
There is 1 tilt warning per game. If tilted, the score will not count towards a high score. The 3rd screen DMD counts balls that made it to the shell hole. Of course, games of this era did not have a backglass/DMD. I added a few DOF effects for fun.

Freddy's Nightmares Original Table and PUP-Pack
Warning: This table has strong language, gore, and graphic violence, and is not suitable for children
This table was made with VPX 10.7 but works with both 10.7 and 10.8
Thank you to Sebastiendelf for giving open permission to use the Spawn table.
Big Thanks to all the table Authors and all the vpinball software creators that have been
in the game a long time, With everyone's continuous improvements of current software the
development of new software and new scripting techniques.
Big thank you to All you VPinball Legends!
You make it possible for tables like this to be created.
This is a all in 1 download comes with the table file, UltraDMD folder, PUP Pack, and Game Info card.
As always with my tables, all the pup pack player options are in the top of the script
and tell you how to adjust whatever you need for your setup. The first folder in the
PUP Pack contains 2 pup files that are needed for anyone playing on a single screen desktop setup,
simply copy and paste them into the root of the pup pack folder for this table.
If anyone would like to add the DOF for this table to the DOF configs leave me a comment below
or shoot me a message and let me know, the DOF is already in the table script and more than
likely in the DOF configs already under Diablo but I have changed the table name and game name
so a new entry will need to be added for this table. I personally do not use DOF
but I know a ton of you pinballer’s do so again anyone that can and is willing to let me know.
In a town where movies go over schedule, and directors go over budget, something far more evil is out of control.
In this game, terror, no longer stops at the TV screen… It invades your pinball machine. Join Freddy and help
terrorize and take out his enemies. In this adventure that takes you through
the entire original Nightmare on Elm Street series, starting with A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)
and ends with Freddy vs Jason (2003).Enter Freddy’s house to find your enemies and make them fall asleep,
so they enter Freddy’s dream sequences where you help Freddy take them all out. Collect the brats souls
to win extra balls along with 2 extra bonus rounds that will also award you an extra ball along with
some super jackpot points. Once all the brats have been defeated you must finish off the game by taking out Jason,
defeat Jason or die trying!
Welcome to prime time pinballer’s!
Enjoy everyone - Retro Rommy
