All Credit goes to JPSalas for saving Hyrule yet again with a new 10.8 compatible Table file!

I had to drop everything and get this update out with JPSalas's permission to the VPin community ASAP!!! Thank you my friend!
You have Offically saved Hyrule !

An orchestra of organized chaos that I'm sure you 80's kids and NES gamers will have fun tearing apart.  This is 100% a community project now in my opinion

    Use VPX  10.8 or 10.7.4
If you are experiencing the issue i am of the pup blacking out on you in 10.8 then use the 10.7.4VPX.   Trying to figure out the cause and remedy for this issue for me, this is a fresh vpx install im stumped currently.
    _____________________________________________________

MASSIVE Thanks "to JPSalas  for making this legendary table that i would never want to see become obsolete with the vpx updates. Thank you for letting me do it!  We should petition JP to do a recreation on 10.8  Thank you JP and LoadedWeapon you guys are legend"
Thank you so much for responding to the need for this table to never go obsolete!!!!!  The community loves you man, appreciate all your amazing tables!

Major Thanks to @ZandysArcade for the sweet overlay set he made for this! Screams Ocarina of time! Thank you!  Couldn't do it without you!
Major Thanks to BeardBear Channel for contributing to FREE virtual pinball.... without this HD source video of gameplay I prolly wouldnt have considered attempting this one.  Without you this wouldn't be possible either.  Epic gameplay footage! Thank you!
Major Thanks to @SERGIOSOUZA for his backglass, fulldmd and topper backglass! Nice work, thank you for lettin me use them!  I might need to switch out the fulldmd later for one with only ocarina of time graphics tho.
Major Thanks to @davadruix for his sweet dmd looking topper backglass and my favorite wheel so far for the table!  Thanks for letting me use them!
Major Thanks to @Nevvyboy for making a new instruction card for the table when he found out I was redoing the pup!  Thank you!
Major Thanks to anyone who makes new media that can work with the pup later!
Major Thanks to @PIPAllah for helping me fix the ganon battle when I was having issues, appreciate you, if you ever need anything let me know, i owe you!
Major Thanks to everyone who playtested during the initial phases

Hyrule is in your hands now

It's a community project now in my opinion to fine tune it all, this is not the final version.
ANYONE who improves this pup whenever  will be credited at the very top of the page. There's a lot more that could be done fine tuning all the callout priorities but I will have to do all that later, and excluding certain callouts from certain toppers ....  All "backup callout clips" will be inside the pup folder so someone can make better texts!

-All clips normalized/Nailbusted to 1080p by default
-Must use the included table file, it has pupevent specific for this pup added to it.
-Pup volumes may have to be adjusted for personal preference within the "pup pack editor triggers screen"
-it's pushin 2 gb sry about that.

  4. Lectronamo (Stern 1978)

Based on initial stuff (v0.9) by 32assassin
    v1.0 (January 3rd, 2024):
    - reworked red lights on playfield: now dark red when unlit.
    - Fixed the 3rd light near spinner: now white (like real machine), instead of red.

The zip archive provides two .nv (NVRam) files, in order to be coherent with scoring & instruction cards on apron:
    - One .nv file is set with high score to date to 0 point.
    - Second is set with (realistic) high score to date to 880,000 points.
Beating high score to date gives 3 replays (cannot be disabled on this machine).

Simply copy provided lectrono.nv file you'll want to use (it's optional), to VPinMAME\nvram subfolder.

This table is saved by using VPX v10.7.3 (32-bit).

I plan on redoing most of my music tables so if you have the old version of Linkin Park Pup table please delete everything before installing this one.
The zip file includes the vpx table, wheel image and the pup pack.  The puppack comes with a bunch screen options to suit your cabinet needs, just choose your bat file. You can also add your favorite Linkin Park videos to the favorites folder within the LINKINPARKPUP folder.

Shout-outs!!!!  I want to thank TeamTuga and JP salas for their work on the original table. If it wasn't for these amazing guys, I wouldn't have been able to create this table. They are the best!

  7. Lawman (Gottlieb 1971) soundmod 4K

Based on the table Lawman (Gottlieb 1971) by Loserman76 I've come up with an upscaled version, as the existing releases look very pixelated on my hires cab.
The table was released by late Jeff "Loserman76" Whitehead. There were contributions my GNance and Popotte in it as well; not sure about the details. According to the release the permission to modify is given without need for approval, so there you go.

In my release, playfield, apron, plastics and several smaller files were upscaled and anti-aliased. In fact, similar changes were applied as in the 4 player version of this table that goes by the name "Sheriff".

I've prepared the file for the use with a yet-to-be-built pup-pack and I've added a music playback feature as well. The package I'm releasing doesn't contain any music though to stay out of legal troubles. Just put your favorite country music mp3 files into a subfolder named "Lawman" within your music folder (usually something like C:\vPinball\VisualPinball\Music\Lawman). To specify another folder, do so in the line
myMusicFolder = "Lawman" If the folder specified doesn't exist, there will be an error message. The folder can be empty though. It won't hurt to have this folder point to the same folder you specified for another table's music, e.g. to the folder you specified for the twin table "Sheriff".
To toggle between music and pup-pack playback, edit
usePUP   = false and set that to
usePUP   = true to enable a video juke box (coming from a pup-pack in C:\vPinball\PinUPSystem\PUPVideos\Lawman).

Right magnasave will play the next random track. Left magnasave will stop playback. Those controls are valid both for music as well as video playback.

Not sure if my release qualifies as a soundmod without any music files in it, so let's just call it an update, counting the version count up from 1.0.a to 1.1.0.

    Enjoy

  10. Little Joe (Bally 1972)_Teisen_MOD

First I would like to thank Loserman76 for the beautiful work... wherever he is playing pinball!

small changes were made only aesthetically

small improvements in the playfield, plastics, lighting, flippers position...  I want to make it clear that the descriptions for the tables I'm sharing are "standard" for all, changes are made when there is a need for some adjustment.

version used, follow the link to the original table

    Adjustments made:
    - lighting and playfield lights
    - adjust targets
    - new POV
    - new metals
    - screw adjustment

Unfortunately, I don't have a description of Loserman for this table and therefore I don't know the collaborators who helped him carry out this work... So, if you participated in this, I would like to thank you and I hope you feel honored!

  12. Lord of the Rings Valinor Edition (Stern 2003) VPW

The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all.
The VPin Workshop Fellowship proudly presents an entirely reimagined and originally illustrated Lord of the Rings pinball experience.

    Ver 1.4 Notes;
VPX 10.8 is required now. Refractions added to the sword! Added in-game options menu with lots of features. New options include PWM flashers and movable outlane difficulty post settings. Some minor visual and physics improvements. Most images resaved as lossless webp to save some space.

    Ver 1.3 Notes;
Among other things this should help a lot with anyone who was getting white texture issues and fix some stuttering issues for some people.

    Ver 1.1 Notes;
LOTR was designed in 10.6 (as are 99% of our tables) and this time converted to 10.7 on the very last revision so that we could use webp image support to cut the file size down to almost 1/4 of the size. However it seems that there are numerous issues with how 10.7 deals with either large textures, large file sizes or something else, which has resulted in the white textures reported. We're looking into why this happens and will work with the VPX devs in any way we can.
These bugs, combined with 10.7 not being fully compatible with VR yet have led to us to revert to 10.6 (as all of our previous files have been).
Other fixes including minor physics repositioning and cabinet mode tweaks.

The journey began when we received an excellent playfield scan, but soon found ourselves wanting to drastically change the artwork. So began the long journey into the depths of Mordor, where many challenges were encountered and overcome. The table is entirely rebuilt, with much effort spent toward making it as physically accurate as possible. All the figurines have been scanned from the actual pinball toys. The table is exquisitely modelled and raytraced, with special visual features added to some modes to enhance the drama.
Your quest through this game will not be easy, but we hope it will be enjoyable!

  14. Lost In Space Retro

After expressing my wish for a pinball table based on the classic LOST IN SPACE television series from the 1960s I was encouraged to try adapting an existing game myself. This is my very first attempt at modifying the art in any virtual pinball simulator, so some might find the result a bit clumsy.  For that reason, anyone who wishes to improve or add features to my version is entirely welcome to do so.

The game itself is Bigus's 1.2 version of the 1998 Sega machine that was a tie-in to the misguided theatrical film.  I love the multiball modes in the game, and thankfully Dick Tufeld reprised his role as the voice of Robot B-9, so it wasn't a hard decision to keep the sounds and gameplay while replacing some of the art with the TV characters and models.

I have included a rudimentary illuminated backglass to complement the table.  I'm sure that others will have good ideas that would make the game look or sound even better, but I am strictly a beginner.  I know nothing about Pup packs or audio substitution yet, though that may come down the road as I learn.  I also have no understanding of primitive modeling, so I simply reskinned the existing Jupiter 2.  That will explain why she's a bit warped.  I left the Robot toy alone for now, but if I learn how to export and edit primitives I will try to replace him as well.

If you're a fan of the series I hope you will enjoy my foray into VP modding.

A big thank you to Bigus for allowing me to adapt his table.

What's New in Version 1.1  (See full changelog)
1.1 - Added AltSound package that replaces a few film actor voices with audio from the TV series.

  15. Last Starfighter, The (Taito, 1983) hybrid

This is a hybrid non-pup mod of The Last Starfighter reskin of Jp's original Taito 1983 Fire Action Deluxe by Xenonph and HiRez00. All credits are the same as their release and you need to download their release to get all the additional files included. Here is a link to their table download. All the features and options that are in Xenonph's and HiRez00's release still apply to this update.
    https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/13479-last-starfighter-the-taito-1983/

This release is only a update table file that includes four views which are Desktop, Fullscreen, Fullscreen Single Screen, and VR (with two VR Room choices, arcade sphere and trailer court general store/gas station). There are options near the top of the script for making changes with descriptions for what they do.

Special thanks go out to Xenonph and HiRex00 for allowing me permission to update the table.
Thanks to jpsalas for the Fire Action Deluxe table.
Thanks to all the contributors to the table over time.
Thanks to the VPW crew for VR room stuff.

  16. Legends of Valhalla (RyGuy417 2023) Tribute

Riot Pinball and American Pinball introduced this beauty in 2021. This is not a full recreation of that table. It's a tribute in terms of graphics and basic modes.

Rather, it is a mod of @Nesta78's rockin' Vikings table (based on the TV show), which is a mod of @ivantba's Terminator table. It also borrows some of the 3d models from @fastdraw's original submission. All necessary permissions have been obtained

For those who have played Nesta78's Vikings table, here's what's new:
New playfield based on Legends of Valhalla New 3D models and plastics; side art and back wall New scoring mode to allow for hi-scores saved and presented on the UltraDMD; user interface pops up automatically on-screen to get your initials Uses @TerryRed's DOFLinx_Effects rom to pull in DOF for the first time on this table. Flashers, matrix, fan, beacon, contactors, all should work. Any DOF masters out there--feel free to add to the script and we can share it. Pup pack uses videos pulled from playthroughs of the real thing, modified slightly to match the "simple" version represented here. 2scr and 3scr options included, with the 2scr intended to mimic the "real" experience.
Again, this is only a tribute--if you want to play the real thing, you're going to need a real table

Update 4/6/23: Added .bat overlay option for 3screen users with a RealDMD

  19. Last Starfighter, The (Taito, 1983)

Last Starfighter, The (Taito, 1983) v1.01 PUP and Non-PUP (VPX7.2 Required)
    by Xenonph and HiRez00

    Original VPX table by JPSalas
Graphics, PUP Videos, and Animations by HiRez00
    Backglass and Wheels by HiRez00
Gunstar Ship 3D Toy by DonRutler
Sounds and extra lighting by Xenonph

This is a graphics and sound mod of Fire Action De Lux (Taito 1983) v4.0.

THIS TABLE IS DEDICATED TO MY BROTHER DAN!!!

This table is based on a SciFi movie named "The Last Starfighter" made in 1983.
While TRON stole most of the thunder just the year before for groundbreaking special effects, The Last Starfighter was made with the best special effect technology at the time.
It is also a great story!! What video game junkies only dream about!!
Being recruited to a space force because you are good at playing a video game!!!
(I am still waiting for Skywalker to come pick me up, as I am a damn good X-Wing pilot on Playstation!! lol)
Anyways, Video Game master gets recruited to spaceforce, saves the world and possibly the galaxy!!
    Who wouldn't love it!!

    There are 2 versions available.
All of the following changes are on both versions, except the Pup version has animated apron videos.

    v1.01 PUP and Non-PUP
Moved the "holes" for the right slingshot from the playfield, to under right slingshot.
Added a lighting effect "under" the explosions animations.
Added holes and wood areas in the playfield under the 6 targets.
Added a very light "shadow" to the playfield art for the plastics.
Re-worked the apron preparing it for the pup version.
Translated the instruction card to english and moved it to the right.
Shifted some art around on the apron to accommodate.
Added "white" under the plastics on the playfield, and adjusted some lights to line up in the holes.
Made the wire thickness of the roll-overs thinner.
Ball Shadows were playing on exact same plane as playfield, so script was editted and there is no flickering now.
Added Pup Videos that are played on the apron. Put the pup pack in your PupVideos folder.

    v1.0
Added 156 sound FX and Music.
    Added Fluppers Flashers.
Backwall graphics can be toggled with the Buy-In key. (2 key)
LUT's toggled with Left and Right Magna-Save keys.
DonRutler made a 3D Gunstar Ship.
HiRez00 added 2 explosion animations and did all graphics.
An animated Apron version is in the works so stay tuned!

    Acknowledgements and Thanks:
I first would like to thank JPSalas for allowing mods without permission. (I asked his permission anyways)
I would also like to thank him for making a great table!!!
This table was made in the same year as the movie!!
I used his version 4.0 for this mod.
There is much more important info on original download page.
He put in alot of time and work on the original table, and it is appreciated!! So if you like this mod, I would encourage you to thank the original author of the table, as I have only made a few changes!

I also would like to thank STAT for his "Team Change script", which my script is based on.
I also would like to thank Steve "Slydog43" for which these VPX mods would not be possible!!

Place LStarfighter folder in your music folder located where you installed Visual Pinball.
Be sure to restart table after starting table for first time as flippers may stick on first start of table on your setup.
(You should do this with all new tables you are trying out for first time to avoid weird table behaviour.)

  20. Laser Cue (Williams 1984) w VR Room

A version of Laser Cue VPX was originally done by Goldchicco, however in this release, most everything was done or redone once again, as the original table size was incorrect, and the playfield he used was high rez, but wasn't aligned correctly.  This required me to completely redo everything like I did on Jungle Lord and Barracora. Thank you to Hauntfreaks for helping with the initial playfield image.  He used his magic to get it upscaled and enhanced.  I then got the text looking good, as well as various color mods.

This is another early 80's Williams table like Black Knight, Solar Fire, Jungle Lord, Pharaoh, etc.  This has a very basic ruleset, but good game play, Table instructions are included in the Table info section.  Laser Cue is a four flipper game from 1984, and features an unusual “billiards in space”, science-fiction theme.  The game is equipped with a bell that rings when billiard balls are collected or extra balls achieved. The main bank of drop targets are individually controlled, and must be collected in the indicated order to remain dropped. Extra ball play guarantees the player twenty-five seconds of play time, serving all lost balls within that time back to the shooter lane. (excerpt from Pinside).

Since the table is basic, there were essentially two ways the table was set up to play... easy and hard.  I have it defaulted to HARD.  There is an option in the script to make it easy.  (Easy mode adds a rail between the right two flippers.   const FlipperGuideHard =    "0" is the easy setting, and adds a guard rail between right flippers. "1" removes it. (Default is "1" / hard).

Included in this Version 2.0 is Hybrid VR/desktop/cabinet modes, new upscaled playfield and plastics, VPW physics, flipper tricks, dynamic shadows, Fleep sounds, Lampz, 3D inserts, new general illumination lighting, sling corrections, drop and stand-up targets, etc.  Significant time was spent on researching online videos, to ensure accuracy of shots, ball drops, and overall playability.  I also created a desktop backglass with a cool lighting effect, as well as the VR backglass and other VR options. There are also some performance improvements.

I would like to thank the VPW team for testing and feedback (especially Hauntfreaks, Apophis, Tastywasps, PinStratsDan and all others who tested!) Also thanks for prior assistance on items used in this table, including Tomate (lower rail prim), Goldchicco, and the rest of the VPW team!

There are several options in the script.  Including VR, ball brightness, LUT lighting options, and you can turn the bell off if you don't like that sound. Also, you can set the difficulty level, and the volume of the bell.

The LUT changes are done by holding cntl (or left mangasave) and then while holding, scroll through the options with the right magnasave.
This is a hybrid table done in VPX 10.72, and I have code in here to automatically choose between VR, desktop, and cabinet.   Additional options in the script include two VR environments, a VR clock, a topper, posters, and settings for dynamic shadows if you experience a performance hit.

Thanks again to the VPW team for feedback!

  22. Lucky Strike (Gottlieb 1975) (VR Room)

    Description:
    ***************
The table is made by the great Jeff Whitehead (Loserman76).
May he rest in peace. :-( I hope, there are pinballs where you are, Jeff.
I would like to thank Jeff, for allowing me, to convert his tables to VR.

    Info
It is a hybrid table. So you can play in VR, desktop or cabinet mode, but you need the external backglass.
There is no need to change the script. A VR headset is automatically detected.

    I added the following things:
VR room, artwork for cabinet, backbox and flyer, animations for buttons and plungers, LUT files (change with magnasave buttons).

    '*        Table build/scripted by Loserman76
    '*        Playfield/plastics redrawn by GNance
'*        VR update by Rajo Joey

Works in 10.7.2, but best to play in VPinball_GL 10.8: https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/actions/workflows/vpinball.yml

    ***********************************************
These are quick conversions, as I don't like playing in complete darkness.
If you want to do your own conversions, I wrote two tutorials for EM tables like Loserman76's and make templates of the tables, pictures and materials.
Also there are some .psd files, to change the artwork in an easy way for example.
In the template tables there are generic artwork for the cabinet and the backbox. Some people may be happy with that and don't need the real artwork.
There is a short tutorial for people, who know the editor and a longer one for newbies. Both instructions are in English and German.

  24. Last Action Hero Balutito MOD

hello to all, I retouched the playfield of the LAH table because I found the drawing a bit average.
I  therefore propose this version which perfectly respects the original. I also took over the plastics and the textures.
The original table is that of @SG1bsoN , its work is really superb. Also thanks to him and Thank's to Fransisco666, Javier  who work on this table before

  25. Laser War (Data East 1987) w VR Room

Laser War!  This table was originally done by Herwey (with help from others noted in the script), and he gave me the permission to add all the latest physics, sounds, etc. to this fun table.  Thank you very much, Herwey!  It's a fun yet challenging table.  Testers have indicated that the balls falling to the drain is tough, but acts identical to a real table.  So, you might need to work on your nudging technique to save the ball from draining.

I did quite a few updates in version 2.0 mentioned below (and detailed in the vpx script), essentially getting up to the latest VPW physics and sounds, 3D inserts, and other corrections, and making it a hybrid table (desktop, cabinet, and VR).  Also thank you to all the testers on the VPW team for testing, feedback, and suggestions for improvement:  Tomate (fixed ramp and wall primitives), Sixtoe (upper right wall placement), leojreimroc (VR backglass enhancements), and then AstroNasty, PinStratsDan, Smaug, and Rajo Joey for testing and feedback!

If you are playing in VR... you MUST select VR_Room = 1 in the script!!  Desktop and Cabinet mode should be automatic.

There are several options to select in the script, including ball brightness, sidewalls and blades, color mods, GI and Flasher options, VR Room, VR clock, VR posters, VR topper.  GI mods and ramp color can be changed by clicking the right and left magna save buttons if you have that option on in the script as well.

IF YOU experience performance issues... there are options you can try to change that.  First of all, you can uncheck "Reflect Elements on Playfield in the table options window.  Also, you can turn dynamic shadows off for additional performance if needed.  Also, you can turn off In-Game AO, Post-proc AA, and 4xAA on the table options.

    Version 2.0 Updates include:
    - Implemented the table to a hybrid (desktop, cab, and VR), and has options for ball brightness.
    - Added VR to include an animated backglass (image from Wildman), and several VR options (room, poster, clock, topper).  (Thanks to Sixtoe's VR templates). Also animated all the flippers, plunger, etc.  And thanks to leojreimroc for backglass enhancements.
    - The table and flipper physics have been updated to the latest VPW standards, as well as dynamic shadows, standup targets, ramprolling sounds, sling corrections, and several other tweaks.
    - Fleep sounds added, as well as relay sounds.
    - Added Flupper domes.
    - Adjusted the flippers to be actual size, and tweaked the flipper physics.
    - Added 3D insert primitives and tuned the lighting significantly for those.  Lots of work on the playfield cutouts, and associated text layer.
    - Changed lamp control to VPW Lampz.
    - Corrected some errors in the table.
    - Adjusted the lighting levels, and GI overhead.
    - Tomate fixed an issue with the ramp and wall primitive... as it wasn't built correctly in blender.
    - Enhanced performance as much as I could by removing all getballs calls and no longer destroy and recreate balls.  I implemented only the gBOT global call.
    - Updated the trough code to manage all balls on the table.
    - Created new background for desktop mode, with animated lighting.
    - And so many other updates, all documented in the script.

Once again thank you to Herwey, the VPW team, especially Tomate, AstroNasty, Sixtoe, PinStratsDan, Smaug, leojreimroc, and Rajo Joey for testing, feedback, and some updates!
