    Space Gambler was probably the first SS game by Playmatic. The backglass artwork depicts elements from the Star Wars movies: the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO, and TIE fighter spacecraft. Also depicted is a lady with an unusual helmet seen previously on the backglass of Gottlieb's 1976 'Target Alpha'. Flippers (2), Pop bumpers (2), Mushroom bumpers (4), Slingshots (2), Drop targets (4), Standup targets (3), Rollover buttons (3), Spinning target (1). 3 or 5 ball play. thanks to TAB and Destruk for the vp9 version!!!

The leds and illumination frames as well as the snippits has been scrupulously put back in the right place, after modifying the image in Photoshop. DMDs are 1480x320.

    Apache! (Taito 1978) full kit (table, backglass, media pack) Ready after a long work the first 1978's TTL version of Taito's Apache! pinball This ia a little different from it's SS '79 version for the system used an for a different backglass. As there is no ROM (TTL is a tecnology between electromeccanical an digital) and because the table uses the same playfield layout as Gottlieb's 1975 Fast Draw, it is made from Loserman's Fast Draw EM table with some adjust.     Format: 1080p I know this video doesn't exactly fit the vibe of the actual table, which honestly seems to somehow function as the exact opposite of "rock". I mean, I know they were limited by the sound technology of the time, but geez. Anyway, once I got the idea in my head, there was no way I wasn't going to make it, even if it feels like it is setting you up for an experience you aren't going to have. The video is made from more or less all of the game's backglass, plus some editing, a few Resolve special effects, and some stock video/photos. The audio is "I Wanna Rock" by Twisted Sister from the album "Stay Hungry", released during peak hair metal in 1984, plus some crowd noise and the closest thing I could find to a stage fireball sound effect.

It's a hub of creativity and innovation, with so many talented individuals that it’s almost impossible to name them all. However, some contributions are just too significant not to highlight. Shout-outs to: Sixtoe, Apophis, Tomate, Iaakki, Bord And last, but certainly not least, Niwak Niwak deserves special thanks—not only for the Blender Toolkit but also for pushing VPX 8 to levels I never imagined possible just a few years ago. Of course, the incredible efforts of Jsm174, Freezy, Toxie, Fuzzel, Gaston, and other core developers have also been invaluable. You’ve all helped make this community something to be proud to belong to. Thank you! ❤️ (Apologies if I’ve forgotten anyone—there’s just too much brilliance to keep track of!) Watching VPW's YouTube channel, especially the videos by Sixtoe, Bord, and Apophis, was very inspiring for me. Their tutorials introduced some new tricks for the editor and toolkit that I couldn’t resist trying them out myself. I had even bought a new computer capable of rendering without too much hassle—so the timing felt perfect. Around a month back or so, I came across an old update to a VP9 version of Space Riders. Frankly, it didn’t play well and, in my opinion, looked even worse. That’s when I decided to see what resources were available online to rebuild it. I started with a decent-quality playfield image and some surprisingly detailed manuals. Using these, I made the game at least playable, albeit in a bare-bones way with just walls and switches. Then I wondered: Could I take this further? After some searching, I found plastics that weren’t too bad and attempted to scale them into something close to proper proportions. The Blender Toolkit didn’t have every piece I needed, but it made the process infinitely easier. By this point, I had invested too much time to stop. So, I decided to take a more VPW-inspired approach to the build. This is the result of that journey. After sharing my progress in the Discord, Mecha_Enron showed interest in improving my work. See detailes, see table script. Space Riders isn't the most popular machine out there. It is after-all an Atari. But, I had fun using the new techniques. Who knows, maybe there will be other stuff coming from me in the future ?! This release is free for anyone except Bigus1 to improve or make changes to. If you do, I prefer to get mentioned in copies derived from this exact release.
