  1. Devil's Dare (Gottlieb 1982) Physics Sound MOD

    Thank you Goldchicco, 32assassin, Mfuegemann and Francisco666 for creating this table!

    Devil’s Dare is a 1982 widebody pinball machine from Gottlieb known for its bold, arcade-style look and early use of synthesized speech. It’s a fast, challenging table with multiball action that helped bridge the gap between classic and modern pinball design.

    I added nFozzy physics and Fleep sounds. @studly_do_right added VR.  @teisenLighting, materials, inserts, bumpers, targets, spinner animation, shadows, and overall visual and environment enhancements. @Cliffynew lockbar and desktop rails thanks @Dicentim for DOF test thanks @DGrimmreaper for updating the VR cabinet and backglass and adding VR animations thanks @RajoJoey for the amazing VR cabinet assets! thanks @hauntfreaks for backglass assets!
    Enjoy!

    Note: this is a widebody table, so in my opinion it shouldn’t fill the whole screen on a cabinet. Leave a few inches of black at the bottom (shrink it vertically) and scoot the table up towards the backglass. You won’t notice the empty strip at the bottom while playing because you'll be too busy enjoying a good aspect ratio.

    Pinball Wizards are proud to present to you an original concept based off the PC game Darkest Dungeon. This pinball table provides a combination of pinball, RPG with heavy RNG (random number generation) elements. Virtually every game will be different from the last . Herbski1x and I would like to thank all those that helped us get this game developed/polished and presented to the community.

    Please take some time to read the provided rules as this game has a rather complex ruleset.

    Notes
    Rulecards are also available in game by selecting the addcredit key -- this can only be done when a ball is sitting in the plunger lane and only one ball is on the table.

    Some LUTS are available via the normal method of holding down the left magna save while hitting the right magna save to bring up the menu. This can only be changed prior to the game starting and will automatically be saved.

  6. Dragonball Super Saiyan Edition (Original 2025) v1.4

    "I am the light in the darkness. I am truth. Ally to good! Nightmare to you!"  - Goku

    I recently discovered DragonBall Abridged, a passion project that four people poured their hearts into.  Well that inspired me... not just to make a DragonBall table, but to make something AWESOME.  (Too many people in this world half ass through life.  There are too many bad mods out there... here I whipped this together in a few hours.  Well, that's not my style, if you're going to do it, do it right.)  AND WITH THAT, I present MY passion project!  This table has 180 sound clips pulled from various Dragon ball shows, 24 songs all triggered by different events, 4 Super Saiyan Goku transformations both on the playfield and backglass that are linked to multiballs (watch out for his final two forms, they are pretty NUTS!), 6 other non-Goku playfield transformations that get triggered during other events (power aura's, death halos, etc), 6 desktop backgrounds to choose from, options for an alternate ball and attract song, AND a fricken Kamemameha blast!  Phew.  Art and characters has been pulled from across the DB universe!  So I hope every DBZ fan enjoys it!!!

    This table was created by @jpsalasand me.  JP you're a wonderful person, a true VPX guru, thanks for everything!  Please DON'T STOP being awesome.   Special thanks to T-800 (Scott Gullicks - Riot Pinball) for the starting blocks of a great table.  Thanks to @RusstyT for playfield overlay help back in the day.  Thanks for @Cliffy for testing and @hauntfreaks for the v1.0 backglass.  Thanks for DOF coding and a AWESOME pup pack @JoeD.  Thanks to @oly2 for the 3d Saiyan pod. Thanks to @SuperTilted and anyone who's left positive reviews/likes/comments on my previous works.  You are the reason I'm a content creator.  Thanks for motivate me to do more.  I hope everyone enjoys!

    Media pack includes blackglass, wheel, instruction cards, full 5 page tutorial and a loading video!

    Pup pack can be found here:

    Updating from v1.0 or 1.3.3  PLEASE DOWNLOAD THE NEWEST BACKGLASS AND REPLACE THE ORIGINAL.  IT NOW HAS TRANSFORMATIONS THAT TIE TO THE TABLE MULTIBALL.  Checkout the tweak menu (usually f12) for table options!

  8. Dragonfist (Stern 1981)

    Dragonfist, the blackbelt of pins.  It's the habit that's hard to kick!

    Dragonfist has something that keeps the pin player coming back for more.  The backglass shows the number of spinner revolutions and can give the player a special bonus when 20, 40, 60, or 80 revolutions hit.  Dropt Targets in the right and left orbit lanes, and a fun to hit spinner.  It's a tough game to beat, a hard habit to kick, because Dragonfist is the blackbeld of Pins.

    Thanks to Redbone for providing me with a freshly stitched playfield, and for helping with upscales and lots of other graphics.  Redbone also took lots of videos and pictures of an real table to help me in recreation.  And thanks to Hauntfreaks and Redbone for providing me with an upscaled backglass for VR.  Thanks also to the VPW team for testing and feedback!

    The whole table was done utilizing latest VPW standards for physics, lighting, GI baking, 3D inserts, shadows, drop targets, 3D inserts, etc.  Dozens and dozens of hours were spent studying gameplay videos to match the table skill shots and physics action.

    There are plenty of options included in this table via the F12 menu including colors and marks for all targets, bumpers, flippers, walls, spinners, and LED plastic edges.  There are also multiple VR room environment and other VR options all done via the F12 menu.  You can also change the ROM sound volume in the F12 menu.  (Note if you want to change the ROM volume, you'll need to restart the table after the change.).

    I've included default settings for the ROM options hard coded into the script.  If you want to change the ROM settings themselves, you need to change the "SetDIPSwitches to 1" in the script, and then use the F6 menu to change.  Ball options are also available in the script.  All other options are in the F12 menu.

    PLEASE NOTE:  There is ANOTHER option for an updated ROM.  If you use the alternate ROM... you will see the high spins to date on the Player 4 LED display during the high score attract mode.  ALSO, it will preset the Max Credits to 00 (essentially putting it in freeplay mode).  IF you want to change to have credits put in, you'll need to follow the instructions here: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=tutorials&article=109 .   Essentially to increase max credits... press 7 to open the ROM menu, keep pressing 7 until you see 18 in the display, then LONG press the "1" key to increase the max credits.  The max credit change is only needed for the alternate ROM, not the default one.  (I will also include the ROM change description in the zip package).

  10. Dark Chaos (Original 2025) Apophis version - Forced Perspective for Cabinet

    This is a Cabinet POV for 43" display, using VPX10.8. It is an alternate option to those offered by LoadedWeapon.

    The objective of this POV is to maximise the depth perception of the playfield utilising the "Window" option in "View Layout Mode". The result is, when viewed directly from above, the image may look distorted - as shown in the attached screen shot - but when viewed  from the front of the cabinet, the images regain their perspective (much like "STOP" painted on a road surface). Although specifically customised for this particular table, it should also be a close fit for the same table made by other creators. Link to Table:

    Installation  procedure:

    1. Make a backup copy of your  *.ini file for this table.
    2. Paste the downloaded file into your "Tables" folder
    3. Rename the downloaded file to be exactly the same as your table file and B2S file. The most reliable way to do this is to select all  files, right click with mouse, then select rename option on one of the files. All 3 files will then be renamed automatically

    Troubleshooting:
    a) If you start the table and it is not visible or not centred properly
          1. press f12.
          2. Make sure you are on the page with heading "Point of View" which is the POV setting screen.
          3. Use the Magna button to scroll and highlight "Vertical Offset"
          4. Use your flipper keys to adjust this value which will move playfield up or down.
          5. If the playfield is "black colour" it means that it is "beyond" the location of your display screen. In such a case the "Vertical Offset" value is most likely a high negative value. In that case press the right Magna key. The value should reduce towards zero. As you get near to zero the playfield will become visible. Continue to adjust it until the apron is aligned with the bottom of your display screen

  11. Dark Chaos (apophis 2025)

    I made the game that I always wanted to play...

    Prepare yourself for the looming Dark Chaos. You must fly into the maelstrom of oncoming cosmic debris and destroy all you can before it reaches earth. Collect power-ups along the way to help you survive the onslaught of meteor waves. Run training missions to improve your ability to collect power-ups. Make it through the gauntlet to take on the final, monstrous, planet killing asteroid. Our fragile Earth is depending on you.

    This game blends pinball with classic arcade concepts. I hope you find the gameplay uniquely thrilling. You will be constantly fighting to survive. The game fights back, so keep an eye on your health meter. There are defensive and offensive power-ups, but only a limited time to collect them, so choose wisely. Good luck, Defender.

    *Please See Setup Notes Below

    Enormous thank you to Flux and Unsavory. So much technical and artistic talent! I really could not have done this without you guys. The game logic for this table was developed using Flux's VBScript port of Mission Pinball Framework which he calls the VPX Game Logic Framework (GLF). Go check it out at https://mpcarr.github.io/vpx-glf/

    Setup Notes (PLEASE READ)
    Requires the VPX 10.8.0 Final release (64-bit) and the latest FlexDMD. Do not report bugs here if you are using any other version of VPX! If you are playing on a cabinet with DOF, please update your DOF config! Please allow at least 20 seconds for the table to load. This table has a large script, so it takes a little time to initialize. Press F12 in the game to open the Tweak Menu. Rules description and game options are provided. If you want to use the FlexDMD rendered alphanumeric display, enable the "GLF Virtual Segment DMD" option in the Tweak Menu. Press start button to save options. You might need to position the DMD with your mouse the first time you enable it. The position automatically saves. For nice alphanumeric display rendering, add the following text to the bottom of your DmdDevice.ini file:
    [darkchaos]
    virtualdmd enabled = false
    alphanumeric enabled = true
    Performance Tips. If you are having performance issues, doing one or more of the following might help:
    In the table's Tweak menu: Disable "Clear Plastic Refractions" in option menu Disable "Playfield Reflections" in option menu Set "Glf Min Lightmap Update Rate" option to your display's update rate In VPX Video/Graphics options: Disable all "Anti-Aliasing" options Try using a different "Synchronization mode" Set "Max Texture Dimensions" to something less than Unlimited. Start with 7168. For those willing to live on the edge, VPX 10.8.1 BGFX provides significant performance improvements. Users say that Dark Chaos plays perfectly smooth on BGFX. You can simply extract the latest build to its own folder and run the exe. But be sure to backup your VPinballX.ini file before trying it.

  13. Dungeons and Dragons (Bally 1987)

    Hostile Dragons, can you survive?

    When talking with AgentEighty6 we started talking about this one.
    Left as an unfinished update after he quit.
    Updated with 3d inserts and Flupper Bumpers, updated nFozzy and Fleep (2022/2023) and with the VR parts from leojreimroc added as well.
    So with all those things already on it I could save a lot of time.
    I did my thing by updating it once more with the latest nFozzy/Rothbauer physics and targets and I added Fleep 2.0 from Bad Cats.
    Rebuild the desktop backdrop to my preferences with displays all on the left instead of spread out on 2 sides of the table.
    Changed the light settings on those displays to match recommendations from hauntfreaks.
    Removed the VR backglass build out of flashers to be replaced with a real primitive to allow reflections ofcoarse.
    I made primitives out of all the plastics to allow refraction and added physical ball eating targets to help save the balls from being destroyed.
    This table was completed in just 2 weeks, thanks to the updates already done by AgentEighty6.
    This brings a unique situation where the original author is also the project starter on a mod that follows up his own work.
    I decided to keep this one hidden as a surprise behind the curtains until the last moment.
    I do must apoligize to the entire VPW team for an exhausting adventure I put on them as well as me.
    I do feel ready to step up to a higher level after reaching a ceiling.
    There still is a sky beyond that ceiling to explore.
    And even the sky is not the limit.

    This table requires VP 10.8 and VPinMame 3.6.

    This final set of updates includes a lot of new options.
    I included an extra option for people suffering from issues with anaglyph 3d and headtracking.
    A lot of options deal with reflections, like a new option to have the backglass and topper reflect on the playfield wich will work in all formats.
    When I have PWM plus refractions plus reflections enabled on the table people in VR will see black holes/blobs inside the lights.
    So I added an extra ini file for VR to deal with all of this straight out of the box.
    Just add it in and you are good to go!
    These options will help taking those away but feel free to try them out when you like. I just disabled them inside that ini file for VR.

    Support for the Legends Cabinets.
    You can use the option to enable the Legends Cabinet setting to use the bigger sideblade option and a second ini file has been added to make it fit.
    This ini file is only needed if you want to use this option.
    I do ask in return to not see this being patched even when I release it as free to mod.
    Feel free to reach out to me instead if you want extra art added (real art only available on a real table).
    If somebody would ignore this I would be crushed...
    When people release patches mere days after the original got released I feel these people need to reflect on what they are doing because it's not the right way!
    In all fairness I feel nobody should touch somebody's work for at least a month after it's initial release.
    When people add a simple thing and also don't reach out and just make these patches people will feel excluded and dismissed for what they added to the table.
    Also when it's not working on other platforms then a cabinet it's a broken patch to begin with.
    This table is showing how all can be merged into one and I am willing to help others to show the right way!
    Nobody should be excluded, this ain't VP9 anymore after all.

  15. Defender (Williams 1982) VPW

    Landers, Mutants, and Bombs… Oh My!

    The VPin Workshop presents the classic pinball from the late great Barry Oursler, based on the classic arcade game of the same name, DEFENDER. Once we tracked down the beautiful playfield and plastics scans of this rare machine, building the table from the ground up was inevitable (and fun). Defend those poor Humanoids from Landers and from becoming Mutants… Avoid the Baiters, destroy the Swarmers, and Warp yourself into victory!

    Apophis - Project lead, scripting, Roth/nFozzy physics, Fleep sound effects, Flupper 3D inserts
    Bord - 3D models and rendering
    Uncle Paulie - VR Room
    Jutsuka - Asset research and testing
    G94 - Playfield and plastics scans
    Scutters - FlexDMD Option
    Primetime5k - Staged flipper updates
    Cliffy - Desktop view updates
    Jsm174 - Standalone updates
    VPW Team - Testing

    Version 1.3 Update Notes:
    Enable the new FlexDMD by setting UseFlexDMD=True at the top of the script All other table options are in the Tweak menu (Press f12) Required: FlexDMD 1.9.1: https://github.com/vbousquet/flexdmd/releases/tag/1.9.1 Recommend: VPX 10.8.0 RC2 or later:  https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-1934-9bb99ca

  18. DUNE

    "Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration" - Frank Herbert

    A mythic and emotionally charged hero's journey, "Dune" tells the story of Paul Atreides, a brilliant and gifted young man born into a great destiny beyond his understanding, who must travel to the most dangerous planet in the universe to ensure the future of his family and his people. As malevolent forces explode into conflict over the planet's exclusive supply of the most precious resource in existence -SPICE- a commodity capable of unlocking humanity's greatest potential-only those who can conquer their fear will survive.

    ATTENTION: **** Must use 10.8 or higher, no rom required uses Flex DMD. ****

    Table is loosely based on the newer movies, with some nods to the classic in the artwork, and an easter egg for a good comedy series out there if anyone finds it. The classic Dune is cool but didn't have a ton to work with so I apologize in advance for anyone who would prefer the classic Dune.

     This table has:

    * nFozzy/Roth physics
    * Fleep sounds
    * Dynamic Ball Shadows
    * Flupper Bumpers and Flippers
    * DUNE VR Room
    * DOF
    * B2s with Full DMD and B2s for 2 screen users without the grills. (Just make sure the name matches your table file)
    * Game Rules Card
    * Full Media Pack included. - Wheel/Loading Video/Backglass Video/Topper/Playfield Video ect...
    ________
    Download file, open Media pack and choose which B2s to use. Rename to match the name of table and add media to your pinup popper.
    If you run into any issues, please reach out and I will do my best to help.

       VPX Conversion 1/2/2025 by Polsonator2

    Thanks go to original author Leo_Wanker for creating this awesome table in VP9.  I have taken his original VP9 table and gave it a VPX makeover/conversion.  I took the original playfield and then I used AI upscaling to create a much higher resolution image and I also hand cleaned up the imperfections I saw etc that came through on the AI upscale, like text on the table, etc. I also updated some of the script, added things where needed, and removed unneeded script code.  I created and scripted in a working backglass which is also included. This conversion was made for cabinet play so it may not be fully perfect for someone that plays on a desktop pc view, etc.

    After you insert a coin, push the RightMagnaSave button to release the ball.
