Delta Queen by Bally, 1974
By PinRich
The 1974 Bally table Delta Queen. The main goal is to build the bonus and collect it by hitting the saucer on the upper left. If you can hit both the A and B target, the bonus is doubled. The bonus does not reset if it is collected by hitting the saucer. When the ball drains, the bonus is collected and is reset to 1000.
Instead of the usual "ball in play," this machine uses "balls remaining." I think the intent was to make it so you can earn an extra ball, and a shoot again at the same time. Also, there is a credit light which I think was for locations where you could earn an extra game but were not allowed to have a credit counter to possibly resell them. So, you knew there was at least 1 credit, but there could be more. Pinball has an interesting legal history.
There are lots of options on the F12 menu.
* This is a 0.0 "first draft" release. Please let me know if you find any problems. I asked Teisen to look it over, so we can look forward to some visual improvements.
I found a pretty good picture of the playfield and did my best to clean that up. I had a much harder time with the plastics, and they are far from perfect.
I didn't make a B2S this time, because I usually throw something together quick and within a few days somebody creates a much better one - which is awesome! This time I'm leaving it for people that are good at it. If nothing shows up in a few weeks, I'll make one.
*You have my permission to mod/improve/copy anything here.
Thanks again to the VP community for creating the VPX program, tutorials, and for sharing tables and resources!

VPX Conversion 1/2/2025 by Polsonator2
Thanks go to original author Leo_Wanker for creating this awesome table in VP9. I have taken his original VP9 table and gave it a VPX makeover/conversion. I took the original playfield and then I used AI upscaling to create a much higher resolution image and I also hand cleaned up the imperfections I saw etc that came through on the AI upscale, like text on the table, etc. I also updated some of the script, added things where needed, and removed unneeded script code. I created and scripted in a working backglass which is also included. This conversion was made for cabinet play so it may not be fully perfect for someone that plays on a desktop pc view, etc.
After you insert a coin, push the RightMagnaSave button to release the ball.
