  1. Hot Shot (Gottlieb 1973)

    PX conversion
Artwork done by GNance, Mike Farmer
others to thank: JPSalas, Pinuck, hauntfreaks, Borgdog, Arngrim
in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" as another coin input and "4" for coin and auto-start game (like I recall the dime slots generally were) to simulate 3 coin slots
when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option.
I've also included shadows for the ball and flippers. If you want to turn them off look for these lines at the beginning of the script:
    Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
    Const ShadowBallOn = true
change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables

    Artwork by GNance
hauntfreaks - newer postit note images, environment file, lighting information, primitives
BorgDog - his tables that helped me to understand more with VPX - and I probably lifted a primitive or 2 from them as well
GNance - score motor tweaks to behave like a real EM, PostIt routines, Options menu
    JPSalas - gameroom backdrop
Pinuck - Gottlieb chimes and score motor routines
Arngrim - DOF coding and information
when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option
in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" for coin and "4" for coin and auto-start game to simulate 3 coin slots

  13. Hang Glider (Bally 1976)

VPW presents Hang Glider by Bally, In honor and memoriam of Jeff Whitehead, aka loserman76, who passed on Nov 16th 2021.

loserman76 made the original VPX version of Hang Glider and was a longstanding champion of EM machines in virtual pinball (and prolifically so, making literally hundreds of EM virtual tables), and although none of us knew him personally he was often seen in the forums offering his expert help and advice, and was happy for us to start work on this some months ago. He will be missed and our thoughts are with his family.

    Original Description;
Benji wanted to try and render an EM table to see how good we could make it look, so we asked loserman76 if we could mod his Hang Glider VPX table to which he agreed, it was a good experiment but very different from what we are used to!

    VPW change log
    ===========
'001-004 - Benji - Intitial import of baked geometry and low rez images. Added nfozzzy physics and fleep code (most not assigned yet).
    '005 - apophis - added RTX BS
'006 - Benji - adjusted flipper mesh height. Adjust transparency of plastic over center kicker, changed background color to black, added holes in playfield mesh and added hole meshes
    '007 - gtxjoe - scripted spinner and standup prims. added shot tester (W E R Y U I P A S F G H J K).  Standup 002-225 and DropTgt need new pivot point. Drops not scripted yet
'008 - Benji - Changed pivot of all drops and targets 'one more time'...
'009 - gtxjoe - Added roth drop target scripting.  Drop targets work but sometimes hard to drop.  Not sure why.
'011 - Benji - Playfield hole texture adjusted, apron mesh/render fixed/moved VPX GI deleted. DL changed to 1 on all imported/baked prims
'012 - gtxjoe - Worked on drop target animation.  Works but target primitives need to be rotated 180 degrees.
'013 - benji - targets rotated 180 degrees vn_kicker mesh added and vn_KickerArm needs to be animated. Baked sling rubber meshes imported to layer 5, need to be hooked up
'014 - gtxjoe - vn_KickerArm and sling rubber meshes animated. There is temp "vn_KickerArmTEST" to show the kicker arm animation - can be deleted after reviewing

'                Imported baked GI bulbs as separate mesh, settting DL to 1. Moved them down a bit. Adjusted center kicker plywood hole mesh and texture. Adjusted Apron mesh and texture.
'017 - Benji - more fiddling with baked lighting. added Credit light mesh on hapron  with on/off image that needs to be hooked up.
'018 - gtxjoe - Scripted Credit Light, Gottlieb chime sounds and Drop target reset sound
'019 - Benji - adjusted flipper mesh height from playfield. tweaked some render things
'020 - scottacus - flipper tricks and the DT code.  If you part out posts those could be dampened.
'021 - apophis - Added GI lights back in on layer 9, set all halo heights to -1. Updated RTX BS implementation.
'022 - apophis - Updated RTX BS so that shadows don't disappear when ball over playfield mesh hole.
'023 - apophis - Updated ambient shadow so that it becomes less dark when close to RTX GI light sources
'024 - Sixtoe - Fixed object & graphics conflicts, tweaked rollovers, minor adjustments
'025 - apophis - added drop target shadow functionality
'026 - apophis - fixed drop target shadow heights. Added rubberizer, target bouncer, and coil ramp up options. Fixed a lot of Fleep sound implementation issues. Updated flipper tricks scripts. Tweaked some physics parameters.
'027 - leojreimroc - Added VR Room.  Added Buzzer sound for "Over the Top".  Slightly enlarge Apron.
'028 - leojreimroc - Added bar and Fancy Minimal Room
'029 - leojreimroc - Removed Bar Room.  Disabled Bumpers and Slingshots during tilt.  Slightly adjusted VR Cabinet size.
'030 - Sixtoe - Religned primitives, added missing rubber post, realigned all targets, realigned rubber band targets, adjust centre vuk hole, expanded rubber slings, realigned drop target shadows
'031 - Sixtoe - fixed stupid script mistake, removed redundant images
'032 - Wylte - ShadowConfigFile disabled (may require deletion of HangGlider_76VPX HS file, sorry), Ballsize and Ballmass constants added, Dynamic Shadows updated, GILight002 & 003 added (still no vpx lights behind dt's),
'033 - Sixtoe - Added missing GI lights and bulb primitives, added top of inlane rounded top after ball stopped balancing on it!,
'034 - Sixtoe - realigned a lot of collidable objects, rebuild inlane walls to stop ball bouncing up, updated rubberizer code,

  16. Hook (Data East 1992) VPW Mod

BANGARAAANG!! Hook Table Tune-Up by members of VPin Workshop Discord. This one was supposed to be just a fast physics update, but we ended up rebuilding almost the whole table. We added some Flupper inserts, Skitso-style inserts, new flashers, Fleep SSF sounds, latest nFozzy physics, some new textures, Ramp rework, plastics, VRRoom, countless hours of tweaks and testing.
    -          Inserts: iaakki, Skitso
    -          nFozzy physics: Benji, iaakki
    -          Re-alignment: Sixtoe, Cyberpez, Skitso, iaakki
    -          Ramps: Tomate
    -          Fleep Sounds: iaakki
    -          Lighting: iaakki, Sixtoe, Skitso
    -          Plastics: Sheltemke, iaakki, Tomate, sixtoe
    -          VRRoom: Sixtoe
    -          Miscellaneous tweaks: Skitso, Cyberpez, iaakki, Sixtoe, Tomate
    -          Testing: Rik, VPW team

This release would not have been possible without the legacy of those who came before us including Javier for the original VPX version, Dark for the Skull, Ramp and Town primitives and Bigus' mod playfield and backboard image.
Thank you to Flupper for 3D insert techniques, Rothbauerw for nFozzy physics and Fleep for sounds techniques.

  17. Heat Wave (Williams 1964)

One of the all-time greatest Kordek/Stenholm collaborations, Heat Wave has a unique layout with a center drop target, two swinging targets, and an advancing thermometer in the backbox. This is Williams pinball at its absolute best.

Hold the left flipper before the game for the option menu. 1 or right magna save operates the ball lift.
Special thanks to Scottacus for the script and the B2S and Shannon for the playfield and apron redraw.
Thanks also to DarthMarino for permission to use his backglass images and to the beta testers.

  18. Hunter (Jennings 1935)

Re-upload from VPinball, with some updates to get it working better. (And again, CactusDude here is Warblerr33 at VPF and the now-defunct VPB).
Also, please read the "NOTE" below before leaving bug reports about the backglass. Thanks.

Here's “Hunter” - one of the tables produced by the short-lived O.D. Jenning’s pinball operation. This table is from a time when pinball tables were little more than gambling machines. But, since I’ve recreated the table in VPX, you don’t have to worry about spending all the grocery money trying to win one of the payouts.

This was my second recreation, after Ballyhoo (1932). I tried to do a more “from scratch” approach. But I inevitably relied on the visual pinball pioneers’ work that finds its way into any half decent table. I couldn’t even begin to name them all. I just hope they know that their invaluable contributions are appreciated. I also have to give credit to mfuegemann once again. While I tried to write the majority of the game’s code myself, I heavily relied on Ballyhoo's code for the basic table functions. (And Ballyhoo was essentially a heavy mod of their "Cavalcade" table).

Download includes the table, backglass, a tarcisio style wheel, and an image to fill the DMD in popper.

NOTE: The backglass will appear to not fill the whole screen. This is by design, as the real backlgass/backbox was not shaped like modern ones. Also, the backlgass does NOT display your “score.” It’s ONLY to show your progress on the “payouts.” (Which also don’t actually do anything. That’s just for fun and to match the appearance of the real table). Please read the “Table Info” for instructions, keycodes, etc.

As I mentioned, I had a version of this up at VPinball. It received a barrage of complaints/bug reports (some were valid, other commentators were simply showing their lack of reading comprehension). So I took it down. Even a simple table like this takes a lot of work (I couldn't tell you the hours I spent just redrawing this playfield). I was near my wit's end after figuring out how to get parts of the code to work just right and testing the table and making tweaks even before the initial release. I did my best to help and release updates, but the table always worked for me and yet different people kept popping up to say it was crashing or the backglass didn't (when they actually just didn't know what it did). I share the tables to give back and not as a way to role-play as IT support. So I walked away - even considered no longer sharing my future recreations. It was the only way to stop thinking about it and calm myself down. But with the closing of VPinball, I kept coming across cool tables that were no longer available for download. I'm not sure anyone (other than like, 5 people) would really regret not having access to a 1935 flipperless table recreation. But it still made me realize I could re-share my work with a clean slate. So, here it is.

All that to say, I hope you enjoy the table. And if you do, I'd appreciate a review or a comment or whatever you call the heart/up arrow thing. And maybe go back to something else you've downloaded and leave that author some appreciation as well. Trust me, authors like knowing people enjoy the things they've spent time on.

  19. Hi-Score Pool (Chicago Coin 1971)

re-up of vpinball.com table, no updates or changes

Prompted by a post from drothste12 on vpforums, a whole gang of VPers jumped in to get this table done.  STAT started it off with the initial build and coding of the gameplay and rules and figured out how to do a rotating ball shooter turret with great advice from the forum.  PinballShawn owns the real table and very helpfully provided measurements, gameplay rules, and videos of how it all works, table probably would not be done without all his info. I jumped in when STAT got to busy to finish it up and I resized the table and all it's parts and objects to correct size, and finished up the coding with added features.  Hauntfreaks took all my and STATs initial images and made them all much nicer (he has a way with things like that).
Basic idea of the gameplay is hit the balls to clear the rack.  A great part of the fun is you can't actually see the ball most of the time it's in play. The right flipper or the plunger button shoots the ball (real table has no plunger so just right flipper) as the turret rotates. Clearing the rack adds the listed bonus and give you another ball (well really the same one, but continues to play).  PinballShawn says the game is much better with 2 players as you can steal racks the other player doesn't complete.

There are a couple of gameplay options available by holding down the left flipper before starting a game (thanks to loserman76 and gnance for the idea).

directb2s file is included in the download.

  20. Hollywood Heat (Gottlieb 1986)

another old re-upload from vpinball, no need to re-download if you already have, nothing has changed.

I initially chose this table as something that looked fun to re-theme for Hauntfreaks awesome Bubba the Redneck Werewolf table and also because it had not been built in VP for a long long time. I built the Bubba table based on the map in the manual.  After getting that going I went in search of quality images to build the Hollywood Heat, and found some, sorta kinda OK playfield images.  But alas get them forged into shape again with help from my buddy haunt.  Found some pretty good plastic images on the internet for most of them, and rebuilt a few that weren't so good.  Bord was nice enough to offer his services to build the ramp as he did for Bubba, and I think it turned out amazing, so another big thanks to bord.  Thanks also to sliderpoint for all the play testing, advice, critiques, and helping out a lot.
I think that covers the bulk of it and I'm sure I missed others..but thanks for ball control script by rothbauerw, ball shadows by ninuzzu, fastflips by nfozzy, primitives by dark, slider, haunt and others I'm sure.
I'm sure there are things that will need to be fixed, that's the way of these things, so be sure to let me know about them and I hope you have as much fun playing it as I did building it.. back to em and system 1's for me.

  21. Harley Quinn (HauntFreaks 2017) in ultra-mega-real 4k

    (re-upload from 2017)

Harley Quinn (HauntFreaks 2017) supercalifragilisticexpialidocious real 4K
    originally diamond lady by JPsalas
Graphics and Layout mod by HauntFreaks
RGB LED effects and F6 menu implementation by Ninuzzu
    Drop Target lighting by BorgDog

I am NOT a fan at all of pins with photos, especially on the playfield…
BUT the table looked to me to have good bones, and since JP did the original I knew it was done right… also I’m not really a fan of Harley Quinn (suicide squad was terrible) BUT again she is the Queen of Diamonds and has an overabundance of artwork it was a no brainer to put two and two together… so after editing 50-80+ images for the PF, Plastics and BG… and also altering the tables layout my end of the project was good to go….
after that having Ninuzzu implement my vision of RBG LED inserts, he went above and beyond by adding f6 menu function and a bunch of other opinion goodies…
BorgDog as always bailed me out when i cant figure stuff out myself by adding droptarget lighting…

    F6 menu options:
    -RGB inserts off and on
    -RGB GI off and on
-Ball standard, harley logo, and glow balls
    -Flippers standard, and glow bats

     >>>>>>B2S LINK<<<<<<

    WARNING!!! Exclusive Fullscreen users!!
this table uses the f6 menu system, before setting the tables default settings turn off Exclusive Fullscreen set defaults then reactivate Exclusive Fullscreen…. if this is a problem , you shouldn’t be using Exclusive Fullscreen in the first place

  25. Hot Shots (Premier 1989)

This is a conversion of Destruk and MNPG's VP8 version of a 1989 Premier Hot Shots pinball table. Many thanks to Destruk and MNPG for their work on the earlier version. This VPX mod was done by Rascal. It needs the rom file "hotshots.zip" to run. Do not ask me for the rom, google search or find a friend. I put a lot of work in this so be kind.
