NOTE: Many players are experiencing weird behaviours like drop targets not resetting and such. This seems to be ROM and NVRAM related. This seems to resolve itself after 3-4 launches of the table. We are investigating but it's really hard to troubleshoot because once it's fixed, it seems to stay fixed. Some have had better experiences with different ROMs.

I fell in love with Royal Flush at a recent pinball tournament and immediately looked for the VPX version when I got home. I discovered the Deluxe version but it didn't play like the real table. I decided to take on the task of updating it to todays standards and fixing the layout so I joined forces with @VPinWorkshop and went to work! This table is based on the 2020 version by @balater. Huge thanks to all those who contributed to that previous version. I tried to reach out to balater although the table was marked at mod "Yes, without approval", but balater (on vpforums) does not accept messages and they have not been on VPU for over a year.

So much has been done and so many have helped me, please let me know if I missed you on here. As a blanket statement, thank you to everyone at VPW and Super Tilted. Always a fun time working with all of you.

This began with a new playfield scan from BorgDog. The playfield had significant damage so I started a complete manual digital restoration (no AI). This scanned allowed me to get much more accurate placement and geometry for all of the parts. What followed was a much bigger rebuild and upgrade than I could ever have expected. I will try to capture everything that has been done and everyone who helped.

Plays very good and looks nice. But what is that fart sound 😁

Response from the author:

I know, right? One of Gottleib’s earliest Solid State machines, they went a little weird with the sounds.

It would be a great candidate for an alt altsound treatment.

Big thanks to everyone involved here, I remember playing this table quite a bit as a youngster. I liked it so much that it was my first attempt at Fleep years ago and when I screwed it up, MerlinRTP came to the rescue, I pretty much assisted him :) Now with VLM, nFozzy and the awesome VR Room.....plus everything else, it now looks, plays and feels great.....this baby is exactly as I remember it those many years ago. Thanks again!!

Just got done playing this some more. Man, it looks fantastic! The colors and lighting are so inviting. All the work you did to correct the small flaws in the layout really paid off and the flow is excellent.

The table was already good and very fun, but you took it to the next level with all the details. I especially love little touches like the kicker occasionally fumbling the catch before grabbing the ball which adds a lot of character and realism.

If I could give it five stars, I would, so I will! Thanks so everyone involved!
