  1. Circus (Gottlieb 1980) w VR Room

ArmyAviation reached out to me to finish a table he'd been working on. He spent lots of time on getting a good playfield created and also placed all the table elements.  He also did the plastics (with resources from Stagio and Sckurk).  And he used the primitives and roto scripting from Borgdog.  He also started on the implementation of the VPW physics and sounds.

Since taking the table over, I did a lot of mods... (all documented in the script). I updated to latest VPW physics scripts and flipper ball collisions, GI and playfield shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, drop target shadows, changed to a gBOT (global ball on table) system, updated backglass for desktop, a playfield mesh for a saucer bevel, roth drop and standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, roto lighting, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, drop target shadows, and several errors corrected.  Full details are at the bottom of the table's script. Redbone further upscaled the playfield.  I also added options for balls, ball brightness, LUTs, Dip settings, and VR stuff.

I've also included Hauntfreaks updated backglass image from Wildman in the VR backglass... look for his updated backglass here:

I've included an option for two ROMS.  The original 6 digit ROM, and a 7 digit ROM (so when you score over a million you can see it).  There's an option in the script to change that, however I've defaulted to the 7 digit.  Make sure to grab the correct backglass if you are in a cab environment.

Also, I've included the nvram files to initially set the Dips, as the ROM creates settings that aren't wanted.  You can either grab those nvram files and put them in your nvram directory, or follow this process to do an initial setup for yourself.  (Open the table, and in the script, change, change SetDIPSwitches to 1, and then when you open the table, hit F6 (that'll load the default DIPS and display them). Then exit out, and set the SetDIPSwitches back to zero. That will set the ROM settings.  If you later want to change that, you can turn it back on and change the dips.)

Thanks to apophis, bord, and pinstratsdan for feedback and testing, as well as the VPW team for additional testing.

  4. CARtoons RC (Nailed Mod)

This is a modification of CARtoons RC (2017) v2.3, by HauntFreaks, BorgDog, and SliderPoint - with contributions from Dark, Randr, Toxie, and Fuzzel
    >>>>>>ORIGINAL TABLE<<<<

Major changes in Nailed: RtxBS ON, Physics, Nails, Multiball, Outlane Save Roach, Shadows, Lights, Sounds, Breakable Elements
My goal was to give it a couple more features, while staying true to its 'aged' aesthetic. I'd like to think I pulled it off!

Hold left flipper before starting game for Operator's Menu, left flipper scrolls menu items > right flipper picks item
See script for more toggle-able options
**Arachnophobe Warning** turn off spider in script, I don't want to freak anyone out (too much)

Thank you to Toxie and Fuzzel for VPX in general, and for their excellent documentation and posts clarifying all of its features.
Special thanks to JPSalas for the physics, shadows, and sounds in his excellent Arcade Physics v3 2nd edition, and for advising me to lower the max velocity of the ball - which led to fine-tuning the physics of the whole table, then tweaking the flippers to be more worn out like the original.

"My boss found this old pinball machine in his barn and stuck it in our break room, bugs and all!  I thought it was old and unfair, so I hammered some nails in...hopefully I didn't break anything...
…um, if the lights go out…...just give it a slap." – RADDOG

  5. Christmas Pinball (Arkon 1980) MOD

    There are 3 files.
VPX6.2 version (Releasing this version for all those who have not upgraded to VPX7.2 yet)
    VPX7.2 version
    Backglasses package

    Christmas Pinball (Arkon 1980) MOD v4.1 VPX6.2
    v4.1
Converted mp3's to ogg format, and scripted music to be played from Christmas folder.
(Place Christmas folder in your Music folder)
Added NVOffset script command, so not to interfere with other tables using same rom.
Added Cheat for projector pics.Press M Key to toggle pics, after game is started.
Also added wall30 to the plastic change.(The plastic right under middle Bumpercap)
Reduced resolution of a few pics.
Bumper pics were 4000x4000, now 1000x1000
Playfield pic was 2856x5922, now 1975x4096
Clear plastics pic was 4096x4096, now 1000x1000
Added 5 new Bumper pics to match Bumpercaps.
Added 5 new wrapping paper themed plastics, so now a total of 10 to toggle with Left Magna-Save.
Added more BumperCap pics for a total of 38 to toggle with Right Magna-Save.
I made it so these changes can only be made while ball is not in play. So change these before you start a game.
This way you can't accidently hit the buttons while playing game.
(Choose your plastics first, as the BumperCap pics are hard coded to change with plastics.)
Added animated Snow Globe on apron. Uses modified script that HiRez00 taught me to use.
You can remove Snow Globe from apron with option at top of script. (It is on by Default)
All of these new additions only added 10 more MB's to the table file size, thanks to some editting.

All of these new additions only added 10 more MB's to the table file size, thanks to some editting.
Even with all of these new additions, the Table file size went from 120 MB's down to 55.5 MB's thanks to OGG and WebP format conversions.

    v3.1
New DOF scripted by rsperanza.(Huge thanks!!!)
Colors changed to Christmas colors, and MX flasher shapes to spell HO HO
If users get the latest DOF configs, they will see the HO HO MX flashers that went in yesterday.  The previous config went in a few months ago.
Users may also need a newer version of VPinMAME (Version with VPMAlias.txt in VpinMAME folder) if the updated rom name isn’t recognized.

    v3.0
Added JP's LUT script to table. Toggled by pressing 2 Key (Buy-In Key)
Moved GI Lights color change to 3 Key
Added Modified script that combines JP's Lut script with STAT's Plastics change script.
The result being now when you make plastics change or bumper change, they are saved and loaded on next play of table!
Plastics change is toggled with Left Magna-Save, Bumper Change with Right Magna-Save.
Included some DMD extras that HiRez00 made for his cabinet to go with his animated fireplace backglass.

    v2.0
Connected flashers to coin insert, and other events.
Adjusted FS POV so table is wider.
    Fixed DT Backdrop lights.
Added Plastics change to Left MagnaSave Key.(5 different colors to choose from.)
Added Bumper change to Right MagnaSave Key.(23 different "Bows and Ornaments" to choose from.)
Added GI Lights color change to 2 or Buy-In Key.(5 different colors to choose from.)

Added coin sound on Insert coin event.
Included 3 wheels for cabinet users.
Included new animated Fireplace dB2S backglass, with table download. (28 frames of animation!!)
(I want to thank my friend HiRez00 for animating the flames in the fireplace backglass!!)
(He did an amazing job!! I think it is perfect for setting the Christmas Pinballin' mood!!)
    v1.0
Added 32 Christmas songs. 11 are played during game. 21 more are played during attract mode. 1 of 3 music box songs is played with drain hit.
Also added over 23 sound effects.
Added 3 flashers using Fluppers Flasher Resource table (Big Thanks Flupper!!) . Red, Green and Blue. Triggered by bumpers and other areas.
Added "plungerreleasefree" sound effect from BorgDogs Buck Rogers VPX table, so if no ball is in plunger, it plays "plungerreleasefree" sound effect, and no others.
I added 76 pics to the projector.
These pics are activated in order.
They are activated by hitting the upper SANTA Rollovers,(Not the SANTA on left side above kicker.), and the "A" (Center Target), and spelling SANTA.
Then any subsequent hit on CANDY targets, or the A in SANTA,(Center Target.), triggers next pic.

The table I used for this mod is Lizards amazing VPX Sexy Girl (Arkon 1980)!!(Which is a Conversion Kit mod of Playboy.)
I want to thank Lizard for making an excellent table, and for allowing mods without permission.
I also want to thank anyone else involved!! Great Work Everyone!!
Info on Lizards original table download page...
This table has come to life with the contributions of many.
Thanks go to Destruk and Mickey for the original table
ICPjuggla and gtxjoe for bits and pieces i used from there bally playboy table
Arngrim for the DOF and controller code
Steely, pinball Ken,Koadic,Jimmyfingers and Rascal for all the ball rolling and associated code
Cyberpez for the changeable instruction cards (Which can be changed near the top of the script)
Seraph74 who provided the projector code mods to swap the images
Hauntfreaks did a shadow mask for the shadows and i also used his environment image as well
JP for his ball and scratches images
See original tables download page for more info.
    http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=12130#
Remember to thank the original authors of this table, as they are the ones who made this work of art.
I just added sound effects and changed graphics.
I also want to thank Steve "Slydog43" for which these table mods would not be possible to make if it weren't for his help!!
I also want to thank Thalamus for telling me about the rubber hit height needing to be lowered to 27, because it was set at 30, and this will cause weird ball behaviour. I only lowered the ones that were set on 30. So the physics should be better.
I also would like to thank Allknowing2012 and Gtxjoe for helping me with adding timers to script. With Gtxjoes example script he showed me, I was able to somewhat fix the game over sounds, and when counting huge bonus after ball drain.
I also want to thank HiRez00 for animating the flames on the Fireplace backglass!! Simply amazing!!
    **********************************************************
YOU CAN ADD YOUR OWN FAMILY PICS TO THIS TABLES PROJECTOR!!!
MAKE THIS CHRISTMAS SPECIAL, BY PLAYING A PINBALL TABLE THAT HAS YOUR PERSONAL PHOTOS DISPLAYED DURING GAME!!
HERE IS HOW YOU ADD YOUR PICS...
FIRST YOU NEED TO NAME YOUR PICS LIKE SO..
"pic0" IS THE PIC THAT IS DISPLAYED WHEN GAME IS STARTED. SO IF YOU WANT TO SURPRISE A SPECIAL SOMEONE, SO THEY DON'T SEE PIC UNTIL PROJECTOR IS ACTIVATED, START WITH NAMING "pic1"
IF YOU WANT YOUR PIC DISPLAYED WHEN TABLE IS STARTED, NAME YOUR PIC "pic0"
    pic0
    pic1
    pic2
    pic3
    pic4
    pic5
    pic6
    pic7
    pic8
    pic9
    pic10
    and so on...
SO NOW THAT YOU HAVE NAMED YOUR PICS, YOU NEED TO IMPORT THEM INTO THE TABLE.
THIS IS VERY EASY, SO DON'T GET OVERWHELMED.
WITH THE TABLE LOADED INTO THE VISUAL PINBALL EDITOR, CLICK THE "TABLE" TAB AT TOP OF EDITOR. THEN CLICK "IMAGE MANAGER"
YOU WILL NOW SEE ON UPPER RIGHT OF WINDOW THAT POPS UP, A TAB THAT SAYS "IMPORT", CLICK IT AND BROWSE TO YOUR PIC OR PICS AND IMPORT THEM.
THAT'S IT!!! BE SURE TO SAVE TABLE AFTERWARDS TO KEEP YOUR PICS IN TABLE.
    NOW ENJOY THE SHOW!!!
    *************************************************************************************
You can set this table for 4 players game and the pics don't start over for new player, so you can progress through the pics with each of the 4 players turns.
I included a nvram file that will give you the easiest settings to try to accomplish viewing all 76 pics.
You can change these settings by pressing F6 on your keyboard, which will bring up dipswitch menu.
(The included nvram file has the easiest settings!! Also playing 4 player game helps!!!)
(PLACE INCLUDED MUSIC IN MUSIC FOLDER LOCATED WHERE VISUAL PINBALL IS INSTALLED)
I HAVE MADE 2 DIFFERENT dB2S BACKGLASSES. ONE IS A FIREPLACE, AND THE OTHER IS SANTAS WORKSHOP.
    FIND THEM HERE...
    http://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=13205
Also a new animated dB2S Fireplace backglass, animation made by HiRez00 included in download.
All pics, trademarks, Logos and sounds belong to their respectful owners. This table is for personal home, and non-commercial use only. This table should be used for educational purposes only.
    Hope you enjoy!!
    MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

  8. Cactus Canyon Continued (Bally 1998)

    Cactus Canyon Continued (Bally 1998)
Since the original release of the table, Fast Flips support was added. Fast Flips can be enabled using the script at Thalamus's Github script repository. Link:
    https://github.com/sverrewl/vpxtable_scripts/blob/master/Cactus Canyon (Bally 1998) TTNZ v2.0.vbs
For VPX 10.4 or 10.5, updating the script requires deleting out the old script and pasting in the updated script. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1.
For VPX 10.6, users can just copy the vbs file to the same folder as the table. The vbs file name should be identical to the table file name. Rename if necessary. When opening the table in VPX 10.6, the contents of the vbs file should automatically be loaded. For CCC, the P-ROC flag should be changed to a value of 1.
For users that have already installed Python 2.7 version of P-ROC, there is no need to install it again. Nothing has changed with the P-ROC installer since V3.2 which was the version available at MBPC before they closed. They may just want to run Install CCC.bat (requires wget.exe from the installer "files" folder).
For users that have updated the game code recently (since Aug 30, 2018), they do not need to run Install CCC.bat. It will not do any harm if they do want to run it. There are not any new code or assets at this time. But I will maintain Install CCC.bat if there are any updates.
For new installs, the order is
    1. STEP 1 - Install Prerequisites.bat
    2. STEP 2 - Install PROC.bat
    3. Install CCC.bat
Sorry, I can't provide much support beyond this. The installer worked for me out-of-the-box on both my laptop and my cabinet.
If users happen to have any chepas tables, the only other thing to do to complete the installation is to open a command prompt and type:
    pip install requests

This release would not have been possible without the legacy of those who came before us including, in this case nFozzy, Dark, LoadedWeapon and JPSalas.
Thank you to Rothbauerw for nFozzy physics. Thanks you to Fleep for sounds. Thanks to all before us.

    'Started from Skitsos personal mod
    '004 - Rastan350 - new physics and sounds
'005 - Skitso - reworked all GI and flashers, improved insert lighting, new LUT
'006 - iaakki - debugged some flip physics issues and now live catch and nudge works, flip angles changed, removed some lights, flip physics parameters updated
'007 - Skitso - temporary fix for broken flashers. Replaced SHOOT AGAIN and KICKBACK insert textures to a more visually pleasing ones.
'008 - iaakki - merged flashers. Solflash17 created for "modulated" Amy flasher
'009 - Skitso - fixed flashers, fixed ball shadow depth bias issue, added one missing GI light under left ramp, made upper lane guide lamps to show through AMY's hand, new volcano ramp textures, improved Grey playfield texture and shadows, new dark texture for yellow hit targets on Grey playfield, added tiny bit of DL to Grey when GI is lit, fixed right sligshot plastics material and repositioned light beneath
'010 - Skitso - improved rule card texture, backwall texture and left ramp decal. Added backfacing transparent triangles rendering to ramps, improved bumber lighting.
'011 - iaakki - ball drop sounds fixed. It is still bugged occasionally but not sure why..
'012 - Skitso - better upper PF laneguide prim, improved lights for upper lane guides, tweaked flashers.
'015 - iaakki - fixed ramp exits so that ball drop sounds can work properly
'016 - Sixtoe - Re-organised whole table, added VR room and assets, replaced rails and sideblades (switchable for art ones, which I redid a bit), raised some lights and dropped others (to stop it cutting prims in half), fixed z fighting for several walls, removed numerous unused assets, redid sling rubbers and area (including physics objects), cut holes in playfield and made drop holes, turned off backfacing rendering for ramps as it breaks VR, will try and find a workaround, raised DL meanwhile, removed redundant drop code, removed wall that stopped ball dropping off wire ramp, probably some other stuff I forgot
'017 - Benji - New ramps based on flupper's new tutorial
'018 - Flupper - New ramp models, new ramp textures. "plsatic_ramps" texture in image manager is better for VR
'019 - tomate - LowPoly left ramp added.
'020 - tomate - flipperTimer added, flippers prims and shadows, slightly corrected left flipper location, New wireRamps prims, plastic ramps slightly modified to fit wire ramps, DC-3 model added
'021 - tomate - WireRamps textures added, split wire ramps (up and down), down wireRamp reflection disabled, plastic plane recovered from previous version
'022 - iaakki - Gorilla flips physics change, LUT changer added with failsafe improvements, Cabinet mode improved, RampLook option added
'023 - Sixtoe - Complete fixtures and fittings pass, changed most things, tons of small tweaks and adjustments to positions of things, drilled a hole in the plastic ramp, added seperate VR graphics setup for ramps and wire runs, unified timers, probably something else I forgot.
'024 - Sixtoe - Tinkered with the metals and lighting to get the fixings more natural and suited to table.
'026 - tomate - new 3d apron and apron texture added, apron rails and POV fixed
'027 - Sixtoe - Added playfield mesh from Bord, more tinkering and adjusting including apron area for VR and finally punting it out the door
'RC2 - Skitso - Fixed playfield mesh location, made ball shinier, altered few materials, made apron a tad more in shadow.
'RC3 - iaakki - Fixed GI control, added TargetBouncerEnabled and RubberizerEnabled script options to make table feel more real
'RC4 - Skitso - Improved GI, small insert tweaks
'RC4.1 - Skitso - Grouped a few missing GI lights
'RC4.2 - tomate - post-draw textures added, new primitives and textures for VUK exits added

  10. Centaur (Bally 1981)

A bit of a legacy upload, this great game was adopted as a physics improvement project by the great rothbauerw in late 2020. Here we are a few years later and, although lacking some bells and whistles visually, this holds up well and plays great.

    Includes VR setup, nFozzy physics.

    Original credits read:
2018 - Script adapted from an unreleased version by Borgdog, Hauntfreaks, Drybonz. Base script by 32assassin. Testing and apron scan by The Loafer.

  11. Canada Dry (Gottlieb 1976)_Teisen_MOD 1.1

First I would like to thank Loserman76 for the beautiful work... wherever he is playing pinball!

small changes were made only aesthetically, to my liking...

small improvements in the playfield, plastics, lighting, flippers position...  I want to make it clear that the descriptions for the tables I'm sharing are "standard" for all, changes are made when there is a need for some adjustment.

version used, follow the link to the original table  https://vpuniverse.c...ttlieb-1976vpx/

Thanks to movieguru for the graphics improvements to 4k resolution

    Description of Loserman76:

VPX conversion - converted from AllKnowing's VP9x mod of my Target Alpha

    Artwork done by AllKnowing2012
others to thank: GNance,JPSalas, Pinuck, hauntfreaks, Borgdog, Arngrim
in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" as another coin input and "4" for coin and auto-start game (like I recall the dime slots generally were) to simulate 3 coin slots
when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option.
I've also included shadows for the ball and flippers. If you want to turn them off look for these lines at the beginning of the script:
    Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
    Const ShadowBallOn = true
change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables

What's New in Version 1.1 (See full changelog)
Upscaling footage made by movieguru to 4k
    - apron
    - Plastics
    - Cards
    - Palyfield

  12. Cheech & Chong: Road-Trip'pin (Bally 2021)

    INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS UPDATE! See below.
Note: Please use the altsound file included with the table. If not, you will not
be able to experience this table as it is truly intended.
    ===========================================================
WARNING: This table contains mature content. Parental discretion is advised.
    ===========================================================

Far out, man! Dave IS here! ...finally!

That's right, Cheech & Chong are here! It's been a long time coming, but this insanely funny duo have
now made their nostalgic venture in to VPX! Kick back and enjoy the ride as you take a road-trip with
these two famous stoners, doing what they do best, and explore their world from those crazy 70's and
80's. You'll encounter characters, music and sounds based from their iconic comedy albums, as well as
their hilarious cult classic movies. Traveling from "Pedro's House" to the "Battle of the Bands", and
back, Cheech & Chong: Road-Trip'pin, will provide you with a "high" amount of fun and laughs that
    only these two can deliver.

Dedicated to one of the best, if not, the best, laugh-out-loud comedy teams in history. Thank you
Richard "Cheech" Marin and Thomas Chong for the side-splitting laughter that you gave us back then
and even today. These two comedic geniuses have deserved their own real pinball machine for decades
and I am proud to at least pay tribute to them with a VPX version.

This table is also dedicated to the old-school pinball lovers, the diehard Cheech & Chong fans, and all
of those crazy uncles out there who introduced Cheech & Chong to the younger generation.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"To do a comedy team, it requires so much extracurricular stuff, so much compromise, so
much intuitiveness to know what the other guy is doing. That's why it's so hard to do it."
                                                                                                                                        - Richard "Cheech" Marin

"The thing about Cheech & Chong is, we've brought more families together than Dr. Phil"
                                                                                                                                                            - Thomas Chong
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Featuring the voice over talents of Ed Kelly as Cheech and Chong (Pedro and the Man).
Additional voices: Brian M. and Sheri B.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to say thank you to a few people:

JP Salas - Thank you for all of your animation scripting help. (Happy retirement my friend).
Benji, apophis and idigstuff - Thank you for your altsound advice and .csv help.
The Visual Pinball and VPinMame Development Teams - Thank you, because without you, none of
    this would be possible.

To all of the pinheads out there, I hope you have as much fun playing it as I did creating it.
    "Let's roll a pinball, man!"

    Your friend in pinball,

    UPDATE 7-19-21:
Update to VPinMAME 3.4 beta: You can find it on Github:
    https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/actions/runs/1027799532
    "VPinMAME-sc-3.4-279-50e07cf-win-x86"
You must have this updated VPinMame 3.4 version in order for this table to work correctly.

This table was built in VPX 10.6 and runs great in it. You can run it in VPX 10.7, but you'll need
the latest beta version due to sound issues in earlier versions.

Install table. Install Directb2s 2 or 3 screen(for cab users) & official ROM, if you have them already.
(Note: None of these are included in this download but are available on this site).

    Install altsound file:
      1. Create an "altsound"(no quote marks) folder in your VPinMame main folder, if you don't already have one.
      2. Then just drop the included "che_cho" altsound file in to your freshly made "altsound" folder.
      3. Start the table (you'll hear nothing). Hit F1. Where it says, "Alt. Sound Mode (0-3):" on the right, enter "1". Hit "OK".
      4. Exit the table and restart.
      5. After the table loads, you should hear the Cheech & Chong intro and then you're good to go.
Note: If you don't add the altsound file you will be unable to experience this table as it is truly intended.

For more detailed rules/scoring and other info, please refer to "table info" in VPX editor.

    Enjoy!

  13. Cactus Jacks (Gottlieb 1991) w VR Room

Welcome to Cactus Jack's!  It's Party Time!

This table was originally done by BorgDog and Bodydump on version 0.95.  They had help from Dark (cactus models), Bord (lighting) and Rothbauerw (physics) some time ago.  I asked for permission to add all the latest physics, sounds, etc. to the table.  I also did quite a few updates in version 2.0 mentioned below.  Also thanks to RIK, PinStratsDan, Apophis, and Wylte for testing the table.

IMPORTANT:  You MUST select what mode of table you are playing in the Script.  VR, Desktop, or Cab.

There are several other options to select as well, including ball brightness, VR Room, VR clock, VR posters, VR topper.
LUT can be changed by clicking the right and left magna save buttons.  (You can turn that off in the script as well)

IF YOU experience performance issues... there are options to change that.  First of all, there's an option to turn wobble off.  Wobble allows the cacti on top of the bumpers to move when you nudge the table, or the ball hits the bumpers.  A cool effect but not if you experience performance issues.  Also, you can turn dynmaic shadows off for additonal performance if needed.

    Version 2.0 Updates:
    - The table is now a hybrid (desktop, cab, and VR)
    - VR includes an animated backglass (image from Wildman), and several VR options (room, poster, clock, topper).  (Sixtoe originally provided VR cab art and other tweaks a year ago)
    - The table and flipper physics have been updated to the latest VPW standards, as well as dynamic shadows, drop targets, ramprolling sounds, and several other tweaks.
    - Fleep sounds added
    - Corrected a couple errors in the table, as the upper drop targets were reversed.  Also tilt wasn't working.  All corrected, and adjusted.
    - Enhanced performance as much as I could by removing all getballs calls and no longer destroy and recreate balls.  I implemented only the gBOT global call.
    - Updated the trough code to manage all balls on the table.
    - Added LUT options.
    - I also typed up a rules sheet and included in the download, and in table info, since it can't be found on the web.

  14. Caveman (Gottlieb 1982)

This is a VPX conversion of Lovthatapex and Destruk's 1982 Gottlieb Caveman table. Big thanks to Lovthatapex and Destruk for their work. This table was a pain in the arse to convert, because it crashes half the time, at least on my computer. It doesn't seem to be the VPX crashing it, I think its the pinmame emulation. So if it crashes on you, just open it again, and hope it starts. once it starts, its fine. If anybody has a answer to this, please let me know. Feel free to fix it up or modify it.
It needs the rom named "caveman.zip". Hopefully you have a friend who has it, because the Gottlieb roms were pulled from all of the VP sites. Quietly ask your friend through PM or hey call him and invite him over for dinner.

  16. Cactus Jacks (Gottlieb 1991)

Welcome to Cactus Jacks, it's Party Time!

    So first up the kudos:
@bodydump for the initial working version with his great redraws of the playfield and plastics
@dark for all the cactus models, including the animations of the big 3 back cacti
@bord for all the lighting and shadow stuff he does that he did for this
@rothbauerw for his physics tutorial and updates and play testing and tweaking
So, I think that's about it for now, hope you all enjoy it, I'm sure there are things not quite right and updates to be done still but it's time for me to throw it out there.

  17. Card Whiz (Gottlieb 1976)

re-upload of table on vpinball.com, no changes or testing has occurred.

Gottlieb's 1976 Card Whiz.  This 2 player table was also made in a much more common 4 player version, Royal Flush.  I'm partial to 2 player machines, so made Card Whiz, but it would be a fairly easy conversion to Royal Flush if there is enough demand for the 4 player as well (I don't have that many friends). As far as I can tell this truly em scripted version of royal Flush or Card Whiz has not been made in vp before, although there was a couple versions that used the 1983 Royal Flush Deluxe rom with this playfield (no I don't know the gameplay differences), and there is an FP version as well.

the playfield started with Popette's FP version, and has been much modified/upscaled/stretched etc to more accurately match images of stripped playfields I found as well as better match the playfield map from the Royal Flush manual which I found online (don't tell Steve @ PBR).  Most if not all the insert images were replaced with better copies I found on line.

The image for the backglass came from a collection by Scott Amus on flickr.

Couple things I'm not sure on, the first is the ball return gate.  The rollover on the right opens the gate so the ball can return to the plunger lane.  I'm fairly certain that once it does the trigger in the plunger lane closes the gate and also fairly certain the kick hole on the right side of the playfield also closes it, just not sure if those are the only things??  The rollover in the plunger lane would also be triggered and close the ball return gate on the next plunge.  The other thing that I'm not sure of is that post on the left side that deflects balls coming down from the upper left joker rollovers.  In watching videos there seems to be some wide variety in how that deflects, and actually a lot of times it seems to not get hit at all which happens very rarely on my version.  I'm pretty sure I have it in the right spot, but I think something above that may be causing the ball to miss it.. again not sure, having never actually played on in the wild that I can recall.

Directb2s included, hold down left flipper before starting a game to get some options.

As usual thanks to everyone for everything, blah blah blah..

  18. Close Encounters (Gottlieb 1978)

re-upload of vpinball.com table, no changes.

Gottlieb's 1978 Close Encounters, solid state version, continues my collection of system 1 tables.  I happened to pick up a Close Encounters parts cabinet that included a somewhat warped playfield in otherwise decent shape that I stripped down and scanned for the starting point for this.

Includes, nfozzy's FastFlips flippers, rothbauerw's Ball Control script, ninuzzu's ball shadow routine (turn on or off at top of script, off by default), some logic and sound effect (roto target movement) from pinuck's vp9 table, and vp10.4 surround sound scripting.

Thanks to hauntfreaks for some primitive and graphics work and play testing.

Had fun making the roto target primitives and getting it all to work and animate.  It's actually 15 seperate primitives all rotating together so that I could animate the individual ones when hit.

    -- Eng --

This version called "Steampunk Flyer MOD" is based on the advertising pamphlet of Quetzal, and is different from the prototype and commercial versions of the real machine. It includes an extra Led inserted in the PF, some new rules (such as blocking the ball on the "Atlantis" right kicker to start game modes), and new visual animations on the PF during some game modes.
It is also an estimated approximation to the supposed commercial (and unknown) version "Old Copper", combined with an ornate "Steampunk" style that tries to serve as an homage to the original work of J. Verne.
Information cards with a darker cartographic background are included, similar to the photos of the skirt in the first stages of assembly of the real machine.
The plastics have been redrawn (loosely) based on the motifs of the real machine plastics (2 sharks where there are 2 sharks, the jellyfish next to the bumpers, divers on top, the beluga, the chest, etc.) .
Included are 3 full plastic versions, and various information cards for the skirt, and more to customize the virtual machine to each player's taste.
It may not be the most accurate 1:1 reproduction in VPX to date, with some artistic touches by the author (like pointing the tunnel exit up the left ramp, I thought it was fun and wacky), but maybe it is the funniest virtual version I've played so far.

  22. Clash Pro, Audio Ammunition (Rhodes 2020)

JP Salas, Flupper, Bord, Thalamus, Xenonph
Advice, Testing, DOF & Tutorials: Schreibi34, Loserman76, Scottywic, The Loafer, RiK, LynnInDenver, cyberpez, DJRobX, Bambi Plattfuss, DocPinball, Carny Priest, Arngrim,, nfozzy

NOTE: This is not a new version of The Clash Pro, formerly on the VPinball site.

This is an update to "The Clash," released in 2018, a mod to JPSalas' Rock Encore table. This is a "heavy" mod with significant changes to game flow and play. Mods not permitted.

I wanted a game with longer game play and more 3D models to make it more visually appealing (especially for the VR crowd). I've added three pop bumpers, a kicker, and raised the center loop to a plexi and wire ramp. I've also created a new backglass. See installation and changlog notes for details on changes.

This does not include the music files. Instructions are below on how to add yourself. If you added The Clash music to the previous version, this will use the same files. Securing and formatting songs yourself adds complexity I know. But it's the right thing to do. And The Clash is definitely worth it.

Recommended Song List, 18 song version:

CLSHA00 - Outside Broadcast or Magnificent Dub,  CLSH1 - Revolution Rock, CLSH2 - I'm Not Down, CLSH3-  Lightning Strikes, CLSH4-  Spanish Bombs, CLSH5-  This is Radio Clash, CLSH6-  Clampdown,  CLSH7- Clash City Rockers, CLSH8 -Death or Glory, CLSH9 -  London Calling, CLSH10-  Should I Stay or Should I Go, CLSH11- Overpowered by Funk, CLSH12 - Rock The Casbah,  CLSH13- Let's Go Crazy, CLSH14-  Train in Vain, CLSH15 - I'm So Bored with the USA, CLSH16- Safe European Home, CLSH17- Police on my Back, CLSH18 -Gates of the West

(Please note: Song lengths (in milliseconds) in the script  may not be accurate for your song additions. (I often edited out song beginnings if there was some chatter or slow intro). [ Song info is found on lines 430-478. Song lengths must be entered in two places, one is stop and one is start song] See below for how to calculate song lengths in milliseconds.

NOTE: Distribution of this table or its related files on a computer, virtual pinball machine or storage device, which is SOLD as part of a commercial product, or sharing this file on a public website, or via a file transfer process, is not allowed.

Add music: Buy The Clash songs you want and convert to .mp3 and rename them similar to the recommendations,  i.e. CLSH17, then place in your Music folder.  Determine the length in milliseconds of each song using software like Audacity; this allows for looping the song if you good enough to play through an entire song.

    Example:

    Case 5:PlayMusic"CLSH6.mp3":Gate2.timerinterval=224300:Gate2.timerenabled=1

    224300 milliseconds = 3 minutes 44 seconds 300 milliseconds.<<song length

    3 mins  x 60 secs x 1000 = 180000, plus 44 secs.  x 1000 = 224000, plus 300 milliseconds = 224300

  23. Class of 1812 (Gottlieb 1991) w VR Room

Early in 2021, I received permission from Bigus to update this table and add the VR conversions... originally done by Tom Tower and Ninuzzu.  The VR conversion included backglass, flashers, lighting, GI, and other table issue fixes (high score initials, trough multiball and tilt issue, and others).  I used the Blacksad dark image from his backglass, as it looks amazing.  All the interactivity was done in the script.  Sixtoe did a lot of lighting updates as well, including bloom lighting, overlay, etc.

Version 2.0 includes a hybrid mode for desktop, cab, and VR.  Plus all the latest updates that the VPW team has been doing lately.  It includes Fleep sounds, nFozzy / Roth physics and flippers, and general table physics updates.  It also has Rothbauerw drop targets, VPW Dynamics Shadows by Iakki, Apophis, and Wylte, Flupper Domes, and LUT options.  Bord also added a playfield mesh so the ball goes into the center saucer more realistically.  I also added a recent update by fluffhead35 for ballrolling and ramproll amplication sounds.  Hauntfreaks provided a couple lighter ball images as well.

I also added more VR options to include a wall clock, and additional animation.

There are plenty of options in the script including LUT lighting changes, ball brightness, VR, cab, and desktop modes, dynamic shadows, rolling amplification, and other sound and shadow options.  Also for VR users, you can change to different room environments.

If you get 3 credits each time you add a coin, I put instructions in the script on how to modify your ROM to only add one coin.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy!  And thanks again to all involved!

  24. Cross Town (Gottlieb 1966)

Cross Town is a great Gottlieb game from 1966. It features an award ladder sucker shot at the center of the playfield and a beautiful pop art package, including sliding subway doors on the backglass.

This was a team effort with Scottacus, who did all of the scripting and sound work.

  25. Creature From The Black Lagoon (Bally 1992)

VPX Table by: fuzzel, flupper1, rothbauerw
Runs in regular table mode and VR, settings are in the script.
V1.2: . Adjustments by tomate new metal plates for the ramps new less faceted prim for the upper right metal wall (I modified the vpx wall too) new metals textures.
For VR: I added animated flipper buttons for VR (its the little things), Backglass now runs B2S files, be sure to disable grills, DMD, and B2S DMD in B2S settings (right click the backglass on the screen) Runs in regular desktop mode and VR Room. Edit script to VRRoom = 1 for VR Minimal Room.
Updated to table: Issue with center lane (drive through lane) and ramps so ball doesn't always drain center and is more like the real table.
Table rebuild by Sixtoe (updated ramps with lighting and asset changes, along with timer adjustments, along with other many miscellaneous items)
Special thanks to fuzzel and rothbauerw for permission to mod.
