GIMME SHELTER!

Prepare to shake, rattle, and roll your way through the epicenter of VPW's latest masterpiece, Earthshaker!  Created by Bally/Williams in 1989 and designed by the seismic duo of Pat Lawlor and Larry Demar, this System 11 pin is a timeless classic.  Break out your Richter scale of fun as VPW is ready to rock your world.

The main objective of Earthshaker is to complete the Earthquake Institute's prediction for today. The predicted zones are lit in the windows of the building toy and to complete each prediction you must visit the lit earthquake zones;

-Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 are the standup targets

-Zone 5 is the eject hole

-Zone 6 is the loop under the Fault Zone (CA/NV)

-Zones 7 and 8 are the right and left return lanes

-Zone 9 is the captive ball

Once you complete all the predicted zones, a lock is enabled and the bonus multiplier increases! Lock your first ball up the right ramp or in the drop hole. Then lock your second ball up the right ramp, plunge your third ball, and your MULTIBALL will begin!

This tribute to one of pinball's best machines wouldn't exist without the immense talent from VPW and its support.  I may be listed as the project lead, but the true credits go to "tremor-ific" expertise of Apophis, Tomate, Sixtoe, UnclePaulie, TastyWasps, Bord, Benji, Oqqsan, rothbauerw, Fliptronic, Niwak and our quake-tested testers PinStratsDan, Cliffy, Lumi, Darth Vito, Studlygoorite, jarr3, somatic, DGrimmReaper, and Bietekwiet.  Building upon the original works of 32Assassin, I hope you look at the names above and realize how much hard work was done here.  Truly, thank you everyone.     - Friscopinball

So, get your flippers warmed up and get ready to feel like you're right in the middle of a fault line, Earthshaker is the aftershock you've been waiting for.

*Secret Bonus:  Check out the amazing Sinking Institute mod that even original owners didn't get with their pin 🙂

Only a week ago I was playing the older version of Earthshaker and was thinking "oh, I whish the VPW team could upgrade it" and voila.. here it is! Wow. This is amazing. I owned the real table a few years ago and playing this in VR, on my VR cab, is like playing the real thing. The physics do seems to keep improving with every release. What an experience. The ramps and retracement of them on the playfield and ball make it so real. When I move my head in VR and see over the ramps everything under it "distorts" because of the plastic of the ramp above it. So realistic! Even the plunger seems to have been worked on and finally moves really smooth. Kudos also for the  SSF SFX which are so realistic. Especially the rolling ball sounds on playfield and wireframe/ramps keep improving as well! The warm white lighting tops up on what is a nostalgic trip to the eighties. I did miss my Earthshaker when I sold it, but with this beauty as a replacement, that feeling is gone. I remember that I also tried to "upgrade" the Institute but that mod never made it into my table. So nice I can play it like that after all. Many thanks for the hard work to everybody involved.

And the wishlist grows smaller by 1! 😁 Such a great early Lawlor machine, finally getting it's rightful due thanks to team VPW. To all involved, eternal gratitude for the hours of fun, past present and future. 🍻

When I built my cabinet 4 years ago, I would have never imagined tables would look and feel this realistic.  The light reflections on the sidewalls really adds to the depth and realism.   Eternally grateful for all the time the team puts into giving us these amazing gifts.  🍻😘

If you love Whirlwind and think it is the best VPX table ever created (I do!) then certainly play this table.
The VPW team knocked this one out of the park. Hyperreal visuals, lighting and gameplay physics.

An incredible achievement.

PS: The SSF shaker is phenomenal!

Thank you for sharing the fruits of your hard work. Love it!

Response from the author:

If you read through the comments there are various people who have had this problem caused by their installs, try the suggestions there and if it doesn't work then ask a question there, reviews are not the place for tech support.

Wow, this one really knocks it out of the park.  Everything is top notch.     The table has so much going for it.  The gameplay and shaker have always been fun but now the light show, visuals, and physics are out of this world good.  Absolutely love it.  One of my favorite VPW tables.  Thank you

Incredibly good as always. Hard to see how it can get much better than this, but knowing VPW they will find a way! Thanks so much to all involved.

Got to say, this table looks amazing on my 1080p system and plays really well.  The default field of  depth of the table looks fantastic.
Only thing I noticed was my call out audio seems low relative to the in game music score.

thanks for the table @VPinWorkshop team!
