  1. The A Team Original PinBall

    Hello everyone.

    Here I leave you the new Original VPX table of team A.

    The goal when I started this, my second table, was to know a little better how flexDMD works for my real DMD. I have tried to make as much of a 90' table as possible. It´s NOT based on a particular table, it has similar things to what I have played on many tables from that era.

    I finally managed to get close to what I wanted, especially with the DMD, which is interactive and even has several video modes included. I am aware that there is still work to do and parts to debug so that they look as I really have in my head, but I don't want to postpone the release because the code for me would be finished. There may be some bugs in the code, but testing it enough times to find bugs was simple at the beginning and very complicated at the end. If you find any bugs, please let me know.

    The actual file includes a Backglass, a PDF with the rules, the images folder and of course the table. YOU MUST HAVE THE LATEST UPDATE of FlexDMD and almost VPX 10.7.2 installed. The folder with the gifs must be in the same place as the VPX file.

    ATENTION!
    The code has been written for the latest version of VPX 10.7.4. According to the experience of several users, the table is not completely stable in some versions of VPX 10.8, making the movement of the ball strange, even throwing some errors.

    Thanks to JP Salas for the advice and part of the codes that I have used, and to everyone who has tested while it was a WIP and has encouraged along the way, especially Joe Hadesbeck.

    Before anyone asks, I answer. There is no Pup Pack or light remapping in blender...Maybe with time. I don't know how to do it well, I'm not a programmer, my language is not English (I don't understand some tutorials) and I don't have a top PC either. Still not complete nFozzy physics and Fleep Sounds. I'll be debugging things.

    I hope you like it, and sorry for my bad English. All the best!!!

    4 MAIN MISSIONS (ONE PER CHARACTER)

    They are activated from the van.
    Hit first to start and open the door. Hit a second time to start the mission. Before starting the first character, the order for that player is drawn and will be maintained throughout the game. The missions will remain active until they are resolved even if the player loses the ball. The reward for solving each mission is 10 million points.

    BARRACUS, Shoot 50 Bumpers.
    MURDOCK. Shoot 150 spinners.
    FACEMAN. Hit 6 ramps.
    HANNIBAL. Hit left TEAM targets.

    MR LEE: If during an active main mission you put the ball in the van you will be one point closer to contacting Mr Lee and, therefore, hiring the A team. Take 10 shots to discover Haniball's alter ego and win 25 million

    SECONDARY MISSIONS
    Activate it in the jeep.
    They conclude when you lose the ball or complete the mission or the video modes. Winning each of them means 10 millions. You can raise the mission number on the right ramp and lower it on the left ramp. The available mission appears flashed in the Playfield and Backgass.

    PUNCH OUT: Add millions to BA Targets within 30 seconds.
    TRUCKS CONVOY : Find the material box in a random of  4 places.

    GET MILLIONS
    MURDOK's ESCAPE:Follow the lights in 4 possibles ways and hit it 3 times to scape the psychiatric.
    BA DOESN'T WANT TO FLY: hit the top 6 targets with dizzy ba. Be careful with the ball passing through magnets on the board
    LITTLE MULTIBALL: Shoot the barrel Hole to activate a single multiball.

    IF YOU SOLVE THE TEN MISSIONS, THE POSSIBILITY OF OBTAINING A MULTIBALL OPENS

    OTHER MISIONS

    MULTIBALL: Hit the TNT box 10 times to open the box and activate the 3 multiball mode.

    SUPERTARGETS: Hit 50 bumpers to activate a special score on the green targets.
    ......And More.

  3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles VR Sewer

    First, I  want to thank @Gedankekojote97& @cyberpez for their table, @retro27 for his graphic overhaul, @DaRdog81 for his VR assistance.

    This is my first VR Room conversion of an existing table. I did the modeling for this in Blender using 2k res textures and lighting effects.

    Has nFozzy Physics, Fleep Sounds, and a LUT selector (Hold LMagna and scroll through the LUTs with the RMagna).

    On the back wall you'll find the actual autographs of the voice actors for the Turtles from the 1987 cartoon - Cam Clarke, Townsend Coleman, Barry Gordon and Rob Paulsen.

    This version does NOT use a PuP pack but there is another version that does located here:

  5. The Games (Gottlieb 1984)

    Gottlieb's 1984 The Games!  Simple but hard to master. The goal: collect five medals in one ball and it consists of five shots.  Including captive balls, Vari-target, saucer, and a spinner.  The shots are really fulfilling despite the simple guidelines.  The captive ball, the spinner, and the vari target are examples of critical shots that pay off if you make them, but the ultimate payout an Olympic gold medal—comes from making them properly.

    Thanks to Redbone who helped with the playfield and plastics from pictures off the web!  He also spent a ton of time with all the other graphics on the table as well as a ton of testing!  Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass (and an updated b2s).  DarthVito did the VR wall environment, and topper.  Silversurfer provided vector images from photos off the web for the VR cab.  Also, look for the alternate sound pack that Redbone and Darthvito have been working on.

    I built the table from scratch and included the latest VPW standards, physics, GI and shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, updated backglass for desktop, playfield mesh for a saucer bevel, roth standup targets, standalone compatibility,  optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, gBOT system and trough. Dozens of hours were spent studying gameplay videos to match the table skill shots and action.  I also used Rothbauerw's updated flipper physics code to help with the skillshots.

    NOTE:  YOU HAVE TO START THE TABLE 1ST, EXIT, AND THEN RESTART FOR DIP SETTINGS TO TAKE EFFECT.  This is ONLY the first time you launch the table.

    This table is loaded with options. Various balls, ball brightness, flippers, tents, caps, plastic edge colors, LUTs, Dip settings, siderails, and plenty of other VR stuff. Redbone once again encouraged me to include special edge LED lighting in the plastics that iaakki originally did for another table.  Looks really cool, and is included as an option.

    Redbone also created an alternate Gsound option.  Download it here:

    The ROM can be found at pinballnirvana.com... thegames.zip).  There's an option in the script to change the DIPS, however it will load a default set when you launch the table.  NOTE:  AGAIN, YOU HAVE TO START THE TABLE 1ST, EXIT, AND THEN RESTART FOR DIP CHANGES TO TAKE EFFECT.  This is ONLY the first time you launch the table.

    There's also an option for "Tourney Mode".  In that mode it'll play a little harder with different DIP settings, which excludes extra ball... and requires 3 medals to light special rather than 2.  Tourney mode also sets colors and rainbow'ed LEDs on plastics.  NOTE:  you'll have to start and restart the first time in that mode for the DIP changes to take effect.

    If you want to change the DIPs... you will need to go into the script options and change SetDIPSwitches to 1, then open the table, hit F6 (that'll load the default DIPS and display them). You can then select various ROM options.  Once entered, you can exit out, and restart.  That will then set the new ROM settings.

    Once again thanks to Redbone, Hauntfreaks, Apophis, Darthvito, Silversurfer and the VPW team for testing, and everyone else that provided feedback!

  7. The Goonies Never Say Die Pinball (VPW)

    "Don't you realize? The next time you see sky, it'll be over another town. The next time you take a test, it'll be in some other school. Our parents, they want the best of stuff for us. But right now, they got to do what's right for them. Because it's their time. Their time! Up there! Down here, it's our time. It's our time down here."

    The VPin Workshop members present The Goonies: Never Say Die Pinball! This project started out by adding physics and fleep sound to Hawkeyez88 pup-pack release.  In doing so many scripting issues were found in the original table.  We decided to not only fix the current table, but have added support for FlexDMD, new modes, ramps, shadows, playfield, sounds, ect.
    Pretty much every piece of this table has been touched, enhanced, and tested.

    This table is setup to work with the FlexDMD out of the box.  You can disable the FlexDMD and enable the pupPack created by Hawkeyez88 by changing the options in the script.

    * Main table overhaul: fluffhead35, oqqsan
    * nfozzy and fleep: fluffhead35
    * DOF: apophis
    * New playfield design: HauntFreaks
    * Playfield, image and lighting updates: HauntFreaks
    * Backglass: HauntFreaks
    * Droptarget Shadows: HauntFreaks
    * Miscellaneous fixes and tweaks: Entire VPW team inc. Sixtoe, apophis, wylte, fluffhead35, oqqsan, Nailbuster
    * 3d Inserts: oqqsan
    * flupperdomes : oqqsan
    * FlexDMD : oqqsan
    * Apron Primitives: oqqsan and Tomate
    * Ramp Primitives: tomate
    * New Toy Primitives Chester,coins,key: oqqsan
    * Scoring and game play enhancements: Rik, apophis, oqqsan
    * Testing: Rik, apophis, VPW team
    * Bone Organ Primitives: Tomate
    * Bone Organ Animations: oqqsan
    * wylte: Flasher shadows on ramp
    * Original pupdmd code: Nailbuster
    * Previous DMD animations: VPFiends

    This release would not have been possible without the legacy of those who came before us including, in this case, Javiers VPX version.

    Thank you to Rothbauerw and nFozzy for the physics. Thanks to Fleep for sounds.

  8. Thunderbirds original 2022

    I would like to present to you an original take on the Homepin, Thunderbirds pinball game.

    I was going to build from scratch a Thunderbird themed table until I saw Wildman produced a backglass which alerted me to an actual table made to tribute the 60's TV series.

    This table is ROM free and an original take to that Homepin table. I have used the Homepin backglass (thanks Wildman) and the playfield but it is not identical to their table or how I see a "re-skin".

    I am not a graphic designer so you will see some discrepancies. I am using the original light labels on the playfield but re-purposed for my needs.
    I welcome any graphics designers to help by amending the playfield to better align with the tables gameplay or even upscale the graphics.

    I would like to thank the VPW group for their excellent example table which I used as the base to build this table and the flexDMD elements.
    A big thanks to Rawd for helping me solve the table crashing so frequently once the file was > 500MB (was due to the large number of images with high resolution !!) .
    A general thanks to all authors in the community as there are elements from all that make up this table.

    This table was made in 10.6 VPVR and works in 10.7 VPX (for desktop/cabinet only). 10.7 VPVR crashes due to flexDMD so please do not use that for this table.
    To make the table more interesting, in VR, I have added some interesting video modes paying tribute to some old classical games.

    - The TB1 mission is inspired by prop cycle.
    - The TB3 mission is inspired by lunar lander
    - The TB4 mission is inspired by the Indiana Jones mine shaft video mode.

    I think this is quite unique to have a pinball game break out to an immersive video mode but happy to be corrected.

    There are 4 main gamemodes:
    - gamemode 1 - VR
    - gamemode 2 - cabinet
    - gamemode 3 - desktop
    - gamemode 4 - video game only (VR only)

    General options

    BallsPerGame  - set to 3 or 5
    Replay1, 2, 3, 4 - set to whatever score desired
    FlexDMD needs to be on to display scores. It can be disabled if required.

    For gamemode 1 - VR options
    videomission = 1 (enable breakout video modes when ball is captured. set to 0 to disable these breakout missions)
    Change the playfield image to "clear"
    Change DT image to <none> (not mandatory but just removes backglass image when transitioning games)
    There is a difficulty setting for the TB1 & TB4 mission should you want to make it more challenging
    If you choose not to have the breakout video modes,
    - videomission = 0
    - Change the playfield image to "PF-hirez" and
    - I suggest you change playfieldmesh.visible to off

    For gamemode 2 - cabinet
    Use provided directb2s for a backglass. Two are provided - 2 screen and 3 screen variants. You will need to tweak the DMD location to suit your set up.
    Change the playfield image to "PF-hirez" and I suggest you change playfieldmesh.visible to off

    For gamemode 3 - desktop
    Change the playfield image to "PF-hirez" and I suggest you change playfieldmesh.visible to off

    For gamemode 4 - video game only (VR only)
    Change DT image to <none> (not mandatory but just removes backglass image when transitioning games)
    Change the playfield image to "clear"
    There is a difficulty setting for the TB1 & TB4 mission should you want to make it more challenging

    If you like the game, please give it a like on the web site,
    If you have any issues, please raise a comment and I will try to help
    If you are happy to write a review, please do. Any feedback and constructive criticism is welcome.

    I hope you enjoy 🙂

  9. The Sopranos (Stern 2005)

    Bada Bing!

    This Sopranos upgrade project started out with a request from iDigStuff to put some of the modernizations into the older Sopranos table from Freneticamnesic.

    The sound on the Sopranos ROM is low quality and iDigStuff has now released a stellar altsound that cleans up all noise and distortion.  The link for the altsound is at the end of this description.

    Thank you to all the previous authors who worked on this table which include:
    JPSalas, Freneticamnesic, 32assassin, randr, zany, dark, bodydump, Sixtoe

    If any previous author who contributed to this project was missed, please private message me.

    So, just like that, bada bing, these upgrades were added:

    * nFozzy/Roth Physics
    * Fleep Sounds
    * Hybrid Dual VR Rooms with assets from Sixtoe and Senseless
    * Flupper Domes
    * Dynamic Ball Shadows
    * Roth Stand-Ups
    * Multi-Ball Cradle Collisions
    * LUT Selector
    * Playfield / Plastics Upscales by redbone
    * Desktop Rails and Lockdown Bar by passion4pins
    * Texturized Side Blades by mcarter78
    * Play Balance / Lighting Tweaks

    Also, a big thank you to the Stern team that created this pinball machine in 2005.

    Now, go work your way up that ladder and become "The Boss".

  10. The X Files (Sega 1997)

    Deny Everything.  Trust No One.

    The X Files was released by Sega in 1997 with a production run of only 1500 units.

    I noticed that the X Files for VPX was in need of the newer VPW enhancements as this version is based off Sliderpoint's 2016 version (then based off JPSalas version 2011!).  There have been many improvements to VPX (from the VPW team) since 2106 to make it play better plus there were a few bugs and gameplay issues to balance.

    Additions / Updates:
    * nFozzy Physics
    * Fleep Sounds
    * Flupper Domes
    * Dynamic Ball Shadows
    * LUT Selector (hold left magna then press right magna)
    * Playfield image enhanced for better clarity
    * Desktop background updated to a clean, minimal look.
    * 2 Hybrid VR Rooms (Deluxe and Minimal) (Thanks Sixtoe, Basti and Rawd for the templates as always)
    * Ball Size change to accommodate previous mod's slightly larger table size. (thanks Apophis)
    * Many small tweaks and code clean-ups.

    The physical X Files pinball machine is known for playing as a difficult shooter with tight shots and some brick shots that can catch you off guard.  This digital version replicates those tight shots in the inner orbits and ramps so expect some real satisfaction when you are able to hit those shots!

    Commendations:
    Thanks to the original Sega team listed in the IPDB link.

    Thanks to the original authors, JPSalas and Sliderpoint for a very solid recreation of this table.

    Thanks to the VPW team, Studlygoorite (for the original vpx file) and the following testers: PinStratsDan, Apophis, PrimeTime5K, Sixtoe, Lumi, Smaug

    Enjoy!

  13. Top Score (Gottlieb 1975)_Teisen_MOD

    First I would like to thank Loserman76 for the beautiful work... wherever he is playing pinball!

    small changes were made only aesthetically

    small improvements in the playfield, plastics, lighting,flippers position...  I want to make it clear that the descriptions for the tables I'm sharing are "standard" for all, changes are made when there is a need for some adjustment.

    version used, follow the link to the original table

    Adjustments made:

    - Playfield color correction
    - small improvement of plastics
    - color correction of playfield lights
    - cap bumpers colors corretion
    - lighting
    - metals
    - screws
    - new red tabs
    - targets adjustment and color correction
    - new pov

    others to thank: JPSalas, Pinuck, hauntfreaks, Borgdog, Arngrim
    in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" as another coin input and "4" for coin and auto-start game (like I recall the dime slots generally were) to simulate 3 coin slots
    when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option.
    I've also included shadows for the ball and flippers. If you want to turn them off look for these lines at the beginning of the script:
    Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
    Const ShadowBallOn = true
    change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables

    when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option.
    I've also included shadows for the ball and flippers. If you want to turn them off look for these lines at the beginning of the script:
    Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
    Const ShadowBallOn = true
    change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables

  20. Tool Music Table with PupPack

    TOOL!  Can you escape the Inoculum Pit?

    First off, I want to thank TeamTuga and JP salas for their work on the original table. This is a mod of the Monsters of Rock table. I especially want to thank @pedroperes02 for all his amazing skills and help he showed and did for me without question. He didn't have to do anything and that's why I have mad respect for him and this community and people's willingness to help everyone. Definitely a stand up guy.

    The download tool.zip comes with a couple wheel images options. The puppack comes with a bunch screen options to suit your cabinet needs, just choose your bat file.

    Hope you enjoy!

  21. Topaz (Inder 1979)

    Version 1.0 by Roosta, based on the Inder table from 1979.

    Please take this for what it is, a first learning project and a nostalgia trip to attempt to replicate the first pinball table that I remember playing from my school days, what feels like a hundred years ago.
    For a long time I’ve been enjoying the amazing work from the community, while at the same time getting more and more curious about the process of creating these tables. So I decided to finally give it a shot.

    I began by experimenting with Skateboard (JPSalas version) from the same manufacturer as Topaz (Inder). Then I downloaded the amazing Example Table by the VPW Team, and with the help of some of the fantastic video tutorials by Bord and Apophis from the VPWorkshop channel and the updated version of Canasta86 by Nestorgian, I started modifying my table with the new amazing physics and sounds.
    An old flyer from IPDB and a user manual were the only resources that I was able to find for this table. Maybe that together with my lack of skill can explain the atrocious quality of plastics and images.
    I want to thank JPSalas and Nestorgian for bringing back these old Spanish pinball tables (petacos) and, of course, Bord, Apophis and the whole VPW Team for their incredible work and for taking the extra time to provide resources (example tables, tutorial videos, etc.) for all of us in this incredible community.

    NOTES: I included a nvram file that should be copied into the Visual Pinball\VPinMame\nvram folder. DIP Switch settings are available via F6 during gameplay. I also included a LUT selector with ten levels of darkness that can be selected using the magnasave keys. VPX10.7 should work fine, but it was mostly tested on VPX 10.8 Beta 5 (1347).

    Description of Loserman76:

    This is a build using my template, so it is quite different from -=Kees=-'s version

    This release wouldn't be possible without the following:

    Halen who did the artwork/redraws and provided the initial backglass image
    JPSalas for his implementation and code related to the spinner
    flupper for the primitive used for the spinner
    Wildman for the Triple Action backglass image

    Like all of my releases, hold down the left flipper for 3 seconds when not playing a game to set the options.

    ZIP includes a wheel image and directB2S

    This is for personal use only. DO NOT include this in any pre-packaged ZIP of tables for commercial/non-commercial products. You know who you are. Just enjoy what is provided for FREE instead of trying to earn a buck from our community's work.

    Any mods, require permissions from ALL of the above folks listed as primary contributors for this table.
