  1. Blue Note (Gottlieb 1979) 1.1.1

Blue Note is among the grooviest tables you're going to find. Okay, maybe they missed the Summer of Love by about a decade but this table is all about music and bell-bottoms.

The asymmetric bumpers and the staggered flippers make this table too cool for school. Targets for Do, Re Mi, etc. line the left wall. It’s when you hit them all that the points on the table really start to skyrocket.

Keeping with the asymmetry, a pair of spinners hang out just to the right of center playfield — a blast to rocket through. One of the two has a kind of clever visual trick with a musical staff depicted on one side, musical notes on the other — spin it up for the magic.

This was a table brought to the VPX community by the late @loserman76. A handful of us fans worked on 1.1 to punch up the sound, redo the playfield and plastics, add shadows, a new apron, new kick-out hole, lights, colors... Can you dig it?

If using Desktop scoring please do not have the Apply Day/Night Cycle box checked.
If day/night cycle is desired please use a b2s and use the included b2s backdrop.
This is selectable in Edit mode, Toggle Backglass view in the DT Image dropdown.

    Thanks to @GordonJames for playtesting.

Be sure to grab @hauntfreaks new backglass file for this table.

  5. Bad Cats (Williams 1989) VPW Mod

    "One More Time…"

This was one of VPWs first projects a few years ago after Brad1X had done a complete vector re-draw of it. At the time we released it with a lot of added dirt and scratches, but we always wanted a version a bit more cleaned up. In addition to new toolkit lighting, it has had a physics overhaul, and a very detailed Fleep sound pass with the sound package used in Bride of Pinbot (a table from the similar era).

This update was driven primarily by Benji who did a great job updating the project with blender toolkit. Thanks to Apophis for his various scripting help and tutorials getting movables to work, Rothbauerw for various helps, Tomate for modeling new plastic ramps, Mcarter for all the script-side updates (especially Fleep sound package), Iaakki and MrGrynch for scripting support.

Special Notes: VPX 10.8 Beta 7 (or higher) required for this table. This table also takes advantage of a new options page feature in 10.8, accessed via F12 key. The 3rd page in this menu has table specific options including some sweet mirrored side blades. These are disabled by default because they come at a decent performance cost, especially if you are playing in anaglyph or VR. The ‘Day/Night’ setting here is also where you will adjust the table brightness (not to be confused with the same functionality of old Day/Night slider).

This project is dedicated to Brad1X who has done a few amazing re-draws for us and this is his favorite pinball table!

  7. Blood Machines (VPW Original 2022)

    **************************************
    Version 2.0 Additional instruction:
This needs VPX 10.7.3 or later and for VR it is optimized for 10.8 #814. Lighting works a bit differently per revision Scorbit uses 3 extra EXE files that should be but into VPX tables folder. Same place where you put the VPX file and BloodMachinesDMD-folder. Notice that some of these EXE files may need to be unblocked 2 of the EXE's are same than previous Scorbit tables, but this time they are just stored in tables folder. 3rd one is QRView which is made to enable QR code to be seen in VPX table. VPX doesn't normally support loading of external image files. Sources: https://github.com/iaakki/VPXQRView By default it runs still with FlexDMD. You must enable PUP from script and also remember to use options batch files under pup folder.
    **************************************

Alright, let’s do this old school…

VPinWorkshop are proud to present our very first original table, “Blood Machines”, based on the movie from Seth Ickerman with music by Carpenter Brut.

After watching Blood Machines iaakki thought that it would make a great theme for a pinball table, so we started talking about it in VPW and decided that if we were going to do it as our first completely original VPW table, that we wanted to do it properly.
With this in mind we contacted Seth Ickerman to see if they would be interested in the project and to see if there was any chance they would be able to provide any assets that we could use. Thankfully Not only were they amazed at what we were doing, but they supplied us with 70gig of 3D models and textures which were used in the film!
The only issue now was that these were so high detail that a huge amount of work was needed to optimize them so they would even load in VPX, but thankfully Flupper came to the rescue and did a fantastic job optimising the models and textures so we could put them in the table without setting your PC on fire (for example the ship went down from 8 million polygons to 130,000!)

At the time of writing this the table was at revision 335 (release candidate 1.5) with *well* over 1000 man-hours sunken into it, the amount of work has been staggering but we hope that you’ll agree that it was worth it.
The table itself has loads of features that have never been seen before in other VPX tables and we have tried our best to keep most/all of it secret as we want everyone to experience it for themselves firsthand, which is why until very recently we’ve kept details very close to our chest.

    *IMPORTANT*
In order to fully enjoy the table and play it as it was designed to be played, you will need to purchase the awesome soundtrack by Carpenter Brut (about £5/$5/5e) and place the MP3s in your vpinball music directory:
    C:\Visual Pinball\Music\BLOOD MACHINES OST
    We really hope people do support the artist and purchase it from;

  8. Beavis and Butt-head: Pinballed (Original 2024)

Butt-head: "It's about time, dumbass! What took you so damn long!? hh-huh-huh.".. Beavis: "Yeah, loser! heh-heh-heh."
Me: "Yeah, I know, I know. Sorry guys, too much procrastination."
Butt-head: "hh-huh-huh, he said 'ass'!".. Beavis: "Yeah, heh-heh-heh."

Well, after 2½ years in the making and to celebrate three decades of these two snickering metalhead idiots
who will never grow up or score, I am truly proud to finally present..

    Beavis and Butt-head in.. "Pinballed."

Thirty years ago, a cartoon show with this crazy duo aired on MTV that was so divisive that politicians were calling for it to be
removed from the air. It was crass, it was filthy, but most of all, it was downright hilarious. Beavis and Butt-Head hocked a loogie
into the pool of early 1990s pop culture and they've been doing it ever since with episode after episode and a few movies thrown in.

As an homage to Mike Judge, Beavis and Butt-head, and to all of the older school pinball diehards out there, I created this table
as it might have looked, and should have been released, back in 1993. Nothing fancy, no videos, etc. Just good ol' fun retro pinball!

I want to thank Mr. J.P. Salas for his help(and patience) with the animation scripting and give a big shout out to the original
1991 table's script writers. That table script allowed me to start with a blank canvas to design and build my complete re-theme.
I'd also like to thank the Visual Pinball and Vpinmame development teams! Without you, none of this would be possible!

I hope that everyone who downloads this table has as much fun playing it as I did creating it.

    Cheers!
    Watacaractr

    IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!
What you'll need to do to make this table run correctly:
    1. You MUST have Vpinmame 3.6 beta or later installed to run this table (it will not run correctly without it).
Here is the link for the latest Vpinmame version zip file located atop the first page of toxie's post:
        https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?showtopic=27063&page=1
Make sure you install the correct version of Vpinmame (32 or 64bit).
    2. Please place the included altsound folder "beav_butt" in to your altsounds folder in Vpinmame.
    3. Please place the included "beav_butt.nv" file in to your nvram folder in Vpinmame.
    4. Please place the included "beav_butt.vbs" file in to your scripts folder in VPX.
    5. Please place the included rom "beav_butt" zip file in to the roms folder in Vpinmame. Do not unzip the file.
This same rom is also available as a stand-alone file on this site and elsewhere on different sites.
    6. Look for the directb2s (2 screen(4:3 ratio), 3 screen & 3 screen w/full DMD) files on this site
and on other sites as well. Wheel logo for frontends also available.
Note: These same instructions are included in the file

    That's it. Enjoy!
    "hh-huh-huh. You're gonna score!"

  9. Back to the Future: The Pinball (Data East 1990)

"Wait a Minute, Doc. Are You Telling Me You Built a Time Machine... Out of a DeLorean?"

This Visual Pinball title has quite a legacy and it looks like it started with a JPSalas table. (this community is indebted to him in so many ways)

It was massively improved around early 2018 in a new table version which resides at version 1.4 at vpForums by the following authors: Cyberpez, rothbauerw, wrd1972, HauntFreaks, ClarkKent, dark, RustyCardores and possibly others.

Enter July 2023 and versins77 added a minimal version of nFozzy physics, Fleep sound and a few other small visual / lighting changes.  However, the game play got even better with those simple tweaks and it plays very smooth and true.

The only missing component in all of this was a great VR experience and I was working personally with versins77 so that he could send updates to his latest files.

Alas, versins77 kind of disappeared from the VPin scene about 6 months ago leaving me with a fully functional VR hybrid Back to the Future.

I received permission from Cyberpez to upload a finalized version of the title to kind of complete the package as the game simply plays phenomenal as it is mostly due to Cyberpez's original vision.

So, I searched for the ultimate VR Room for Back to the Future and found only one 3D model that truly would fit.  DaRDog81 put it into action in Blender and it is right on theme down to the Clock Tower, Hill Valley, Delorean and all.

The VR Backglass was also animated by TastyWasps with the help of leojreimroc and hauntfreaks.  The desktop background was also improved with digital digits, an upscale and more contrast.

The one add-on that is truly a must for this title is the awesome altsound by Apophis with help from iDigStuff.  It truly brings this title up to 88 mph with 1.21 gigawatts!

Download the altsound here and turn your speakers up to 11:

  11. Batman [The Dark Knight] (Stern 2008) bord mod

Stern's 2008 Batman is a fun game that draws its strength from the quality of the game rules. Not exactly the golden age of Stern art direction, the layout would be revisited and refined years later for the truly classic Batman '66.

This mod features rendered textures & lighting, the requisite nfozzy/roth physics, fleep sounds, etc, etc.

Built on the tt/ninuzzu release with further contributions as follows:
Physics/Sounds/Rendered textures by bord playfield and insert cleanup, script fixes by apophis flashers fixed, VR added by sixtoe lampz implemented by iakki script fixes by wylte playtested by many - the vpinball crew initially, later the VPW crew especially RIK and pinstratsdan

  12. Baseball (Gottlieb 1970) 1.2.1

If you’re playing this table and not yelling: “Runner on third!” or “Home run!” then you’re doing it wrong.

Baseball plus pinball is a match made in heaven — and Baseball (Gottlieb 1970) demonstrates that perfectly.

Think of each ball as an inning. Targets and rollovers on the playfield score your team singles, doubles, triples — and when they do, the bases on a baseball diamond light up to indicate runners on those bases. It is incredibly rewarding to see all the bases lit up, bases loaded, and then make a perfect vari-target drive into left field to score that home run.

Unique to this game is a separate tally of runs in addition to the usual method of pinball scoring. Bring a runner home and a run is scored — try for that bases-loaded home run to increase your runs by four. A separate high score counter keeps track of the most runs made in a game.

If only Gottlieb had made this a two-player game you could have competed on runs with a friend...

(BTW, IPDB says the star-style rollover buttons on this table, they're the bases, were first introduced to the world in this game.)

    Version 1.2.1:
Recessed apron Playfield shadows Some texture and sound improvements
Loserman76, RIP, brought us this table to VPX and he is to be thanked foremost for this and over 200 other EM (electro-mechanical) tables. EMUnderdogs have added a recessed apron, playfield shadows and more enhancements to try and make the table more authentic to the original.

  13. Bounty Hunter (Gottlieb 1985)

Bounty Hunter is a great throwback to an earlier solid state era. It features fun gameplay and a killer art package that remains unique in all of pinball.

This project was passed on to me by armyaviation, who worked with siggi to do his incredible work on the playfield. Other big players include leandre for the plastic scans and 32assassin for script help. Behind the scenes I received a lot of great help from kingdids, benji, flupper, and tomate as I tried to get Octane for Blender up and running. Also thanks to the usual team of beta testers for the feedback and friendship. As usual thanks to rothbauerw, fleep, nfozzy for the additional framework that adds a little something special to these projects.

    It’s about time!

This project started with ArmyAviation’s great playfield redraw and initial table build. Apophis played the table and instantly loved the unique gameplay. Inspired, Apophis decided to use this project as his first serious attempt at fully rendering a table in blender… so it took a while. Thanks to the team for all the help! Enjoy.

  16. Banzai Run (Williams 1988)

Welcome Race Fans to Banzai Run!

Since Visual Pinball was created, Banzai Run has been difficult to re-create due to the fact that is has one of the most unique designs in mechanical pinball with an upper playfield mechanism that replaces the backglass.

There have been some great solutions but none that serve all 3 platforms for cabinet, desktop and VR.

However, JPSalas (with the help of Aubrel) released a very innovative idea to have a "sliding" playfield to make up for some limitations of Visual Pinball point of view scripting.

JP's modified table was used to build a prototype that had a normal backbox and backglass with the sliding playfield for VR thus having a level playing field for all 3 platforms in competitions, etc.

However, it did look quite odd in VR so RothbauerW took on the task of integrating a hybrid model that took some cues from the awesome VR Room that Sixtoe had previously built for Banzai Run.

After some heavy integration work, physics modeling, upscaling, tweaks, play balancing and a lot of testing, this version of Banzai Run will hopefully represent the best solution at this time given the Visual Pinball architecture.

    Here are the commendations:

Based on JPSalas' v4.0 table.  Thank you JPSalas!  This included a playfield from EBIsLit and other coding from Aubrel.

THANK YOU to all previous authors on this table!

  20. Buckaroo (Gottlieb 1965)_Teisen_MOD

First I would like to thank Loserman76 for the beautiful work... wherever he is playing pinball!

small changes were made only aesthetically

small improvements in the playfield, plastics, lighting, flippers position...  I want to make it clear that the descriptions for the tables I'm sharing are "standard" for all, changes are made when there is a need for some adjustment.

version used, follow the link to the original table

For this table I received a lot of help and collaboration from Wildman who made changes to the script so that B2s worked correctly! Thank you very much for your excellent work and for sharing.
    Wildman's B2s for this table

    Adjustments made:

    - Playfield color correction and touch-ups
    - cap bumpers corretion
    - added primitive to the base of the bumpers and lighting
    - lighting
    - metals
    - screws
    - new pov
    - new top tabs
    - other small touches

    Loserman Description:

    thanks to GNance, Arngrim
others to thank: JPSalas, Pinuck, hauntfreaks, Borgdog
in addition to the "standard" keys (typically "1" to start game and "5" for coin), I've added "3" as another coin input and "4" for coin and auto-start game (like I recall the dime slots generally were) to simulate 3 coin slots

For the manual ball lift you can use either the start game button (typically "1") OR you can use the letter "A".
when game is not in progress, holding down left flipper for about 3-5 seconds will bring up the options menu. left flipper selects item, right flipper changes option.
I've also included shadows for the ball and flippers. If you want to turn them off look for these lines at the beginning of the script:
    Const ShadowFlippersOn = true
    Const ShadowBallOn = true
change to false if you want either of the shadows not showing on your tables

  23. Black Tiger Pinball (Williams 1981)

Black Tiger Pinball (Williams 1981) MOD v2.1
    VPX table by 32assassin
Graphics and Sound Mod by Xenonph

    Welcome to Black Tiger Pinball!!
Based on Capcom's hit arcade game Black Tiger released in 1987. (Known as Black Dragon in Japan!)

    Version 2.1
Converted images to WebP format which reduces file size.(VPX7.2 Required)
Converted Wav files in sound manager to ogg format which reduces file size.
Table size went from over 105 MB's to just under 42 MB's, with just the 2 conversions above.
I will be adding the Music files to the sound manager the next time I update this table.

    Version 2.0
Converted mp3's to ogg format, and scripted music to be played from BlackTiger folder.
(Place BlackTiger folder in your Music folder)
Added NVOffset script command, so not to interfere with other tables using same rom.
Added option at top of script for those who were getting script error when entering Dungeon.
You can change to DProb=1 and there is no Light to Dark transition time.
It changes instantly instead of slow transition, but gets rid of your error.

    Version 1.0
All sound effects and music come from the Black Tiger arcade rom.
I scripted the music to play 1 of first 2 levels music on first ball played, second ball is 1 of level 3 thru 6, third ball is levels 7 thru 9. (When Multi-Ball is activated, 1 of 3 boss music is played.)
Hitting Dungeon Kicker activates Dungeon music.
After 2-4 player game, the person with highest score gets extra time. Last mission completed music plays during this timed session.
The Black Tiger rom had 4 unused sound effects. I added them to drain hit.

I enlarged the magnets for Magna-Save and added an Auto Magna-Save Feature which can be activated in options at top of script, or toggled with Buy-In Key.(On by default)
When activated, the magnets will automatically activate for 2 seconds.(That is if you have 2 Magna-Save points. Build up your Magna-Save Points by hitting the lower playfield Skull targets.)
(Right lower drop targets fill up the right Magna-Save points, and left fill the left Magna-Save.)
Be warned that it is not perfect. The magnets catch the pinball about 96% of the time, and drops ball in inlane.
4% of the time the magnet flings ball either down side drain, or up over bumperslings if you have less than 2 Magna-Save Points.

Dropping all 6 upper playfield targets, not only advances the enemy target pics on the upper playfield targets , but also advances to next boss level upper playfield pic. The backgound in the upper playfield changes to each boss level in the game.

Added Dungeon Mode,(Brick plastics turn into Lava Plastics.),which is activated when hitting lower left kicker hole.
Dungeon Mode cannot be activated during Multi-Ball or Extra Time Mode.
You have 99 seconds before brick plastics are activated again, unless you lock a ball or lose ball in drain.

I added a modified version of JP's Lut script.(With permission.)
I used this to transition from Light to Dark.
So with the way this table works, it does not allow for the Lut option to be toggled by user.(Sorry!)

Added 6 DT Backdrops to choose from. (Click Backdrop and Options tabs on left side of editor, and on right side of editor you will see an arrow to change to desired DT Backdrop.)

I included 6 Backglasses. 3 different ones, Night and Day versions of each.

    *************************************************************
I used 32assassin's VPX Pharaoh (Williams 1981) v1.0 table to make this mod.
I first would like to thank 32assassin for allowing mods without permission.
(Although I still personally asked for his permission to make this mod.)
I would also like to thank him for making a great table!!
There is much more important info on original download page.
He put in alot of time and work on the original table, and it is appreciated!! So if you like this mod, I would encourage you to thank the original author of the table, as I have only made a few changes!

THIS TABLE IS DEDICATED TO MY BROTHER DAN!!!

I also would like to thank Flupper for his great Flasher resource table!!
I would also like to thank Thalamus for telling me how to use resource tables!!
I would also like to thank STAT for his Change Team script, which I modified for the plastics and droptarget pic changes.
I also would like to thank JPSalas, Allknowing2012 and Gtxjoe for teaching me how to add timers to script!
I also would like to thank DJRobX, STAT, Gtxjoe, and nFozzy, for helping me shorten my StopSounds and PlaySounds script commands.
(They each wrote out an example, and between them all, I was able to figure it out!! BIG THANKS!!!)
I also would like to thank Steve "Slydog43" for which these VPX mods would not be possible!!

Place BlackTiger folder in your music folder located where you installed Visual Pinball.
(DO NOT PLAY THE MUSIC AS THIS MAY ADD A TAG TO MP3 AND RENDER MP3 USELESS!!)
Be sure to restart table after starting table for first time as flippers may stick on first start of table on your setup.
(You should do this with all new tables you are trying out for first time to avoid weird table behaviour.)
All pics, sounds, trademarks, Logos and copyrights belong to their respectful owners.
All Pics and sounds were found using Yahoo pics, and Google.
This table is for personal home, and non-commercial use only. This table should be considered fan art.
    Hope you enjoy!!

  24. Big Bang Bar (MOD) nFozzy, Fleep Sounds, LUT

    Hello there,

A lot of you guys complained about that i used the Bigus1 version of the table.
Well i heard you, and here is it...the MOD Version of Unclewillys Original "Big Bang Bar Table". (The old one will be removed)

You can now also switch again the blacklight On/Off and change also the ball brightness to your liking!
    Enjoy

I have implemented the nFozzy Physics, Fleep Sounds, and a LUT selector (Hold LMagna and scroll through the LUTs with the RMagna).
I have also done some rubber cleanups and small changes.
I removed also the black light LUT so it looks more natural.

I  want to thank Unclewilly for his table, VPW Team for their awesome example table and all other that are involved in there to deliver a much better VPX experience !

  25. Black Rose (Bally 1992) VPW Mod

Send them to Davey Jones! - VPW Presents Black Rose by Bally!

This one started with Sixtoe making some improvements on their VR version (based on the Coindropper VPX version) which included fluppers new bumpers and primitive and ramp fixes, when ebislit managed to get a new playfield stitch. Endi then came on board and did an amazing playfield redraw, and then pretty much every part of the table was tweaked and breathed on. We also now have a better understanding of how the GI lighting actually works on this table (the manual is misleading!) so it now has the funky cannon firing lighting it's supposed to have, including an updated GI makeover by Skitso.

There are loads of options in the script, including VR, ball and flipper brightness and shadows.
(If you have performance issues please turn dynamic shadows off to test)

    Enjoy Me Hearties!
