It’s about time!

This project started with ArmyAviation’s great playfield redraw and initial table build. Apophis played the table and instantly loved the unique gameplay. Inspired, Apophis decided to use this project as his first serious attempt at fully rendering a table in blender… so it took a while. Thanks to the team for all the help! Enjoy.

VPW TEAM

Thanks to Bord, Flux, and Tomate for providing blender models and support!

Thanks to Destruk and Goldchicco as their previous work on this title was used for reference.

Thank you Apophis and the entire VPW crew for this amazing look back in time. Personally, I'm a massive fan of this genre and you've spared nothing when it comes to making it look and play exactly like the real thing. The attention to detail is laudable and physics are absolutely how I would expect them to be. The standard set by this incredible group has taken us all to a level of immersion that anyone walking in to this, from the brick-and-mortar pinball world, would be blown away.

This hobby has become my main source of game enjoyment, so much so, that it has replaced conventional pinball for me.  What you are all doing for this community is life changing for a lot of us that don't feel comfortable in social settings. Quality of life is improved. I'm positive this story repeats for many others as well. We appreciate all of your time and efforts when creating these absolute works of art, but most of all your generosity and dedication to thousands of faceless screen names for nothing more than a Thank You.

So, Thank you x10000, once again, for bringing yet another incredible game to the forefront.

Keep on keepin' on!

Mike

I was really caught up in an earlier release of this table... but it looked kinda off and played pretty badly. But the rules and gameplay are so unique and strange. I was into it. Clearly, videogame era Bally were throwing things at the wall... but this one kinda sticks? I think it's cool. In a VERY nerdy way. 😃 And now it finally looks and plays *fantastically* and I can't wait to get back into it. Thanks VPW, you could have taken a break, and you didn't. Good on ya. Cheers to all! 🍻

Great table which needs 2 roms to actually work completely beatclck.zip (for speak and sounds) and beatclc2.zip (for the table itself to work (the rom is specific to allow flashers on the table as i understand ) - it is great when all comes together. Speech and sounds add to a graphically great table. Thank you for sharing this table.

Interesting table and nice touch on b2s, vintage look and wonderful on single 86" led tv screen.

Honestly, this could be the best looking table in the history of virtual pinball. Absolutely flawless!

Holy smokes, this table plays great! I never got to try the original but this is fantastic....love the time mechanic and the cheeky synthesized voice. Thanks very much for sharing this, fantastic work as always from VPinWorkshop.🍻

Table looks fantastic but, most important of all, plays fantastic. The timed gameplay mechanic is a great usp for this pin and ensures the table is incredibly addictive. VPW tables are always guaranteed quality and I'm really happy when some of the older machines get some well-deserved attention. Thanks to everyone involved.

Ever since I got my first 'real' vPin cab and stopped playing mostly on PC Desktop; VPW crews tables have become a staple in my inventory. I try to make a habit to immediately load up a new table and go right to 'view scripts' to see the callouts, the release notes and any Player config (of course).

I particularly like when I see an EM or early SS table get refreshed and a new coat of wax placed on it. There's just something about the emulation of score wheels and 7 segment displays that really jazz me up ! The performance now; relative to 3-4 years ago is brain melting !

I love the work so many of you do especially the VPW team. So much so that even as a Novice in this hobby; I have begun to recognize individuals' handles on other projects and code snips, script fragments, images, etc. It's really cool to consider how many different folks doing their own thing somehow managed to contribute to a project through miles and miles of distance and time.

Not only that; but to see the product be not only equal to but superior in many ways to retail products being put out by well funded companies.

Thanks for the continued contributions to the community and I hope you guys and gals stick around for a long time !

Cheers, o7

More fun than it has any business being. Perhaps lacking in flair, but a really good concept that keeps people playing. I never played the original, but it seems like a faithful recreation. Very well made, VPW!

This is such a well thought out table. It perfectly captures that feeling in a race of having to keep it together and pushing with all your might and composure as you approach the finish line. Like a real race, you must work hard throughout, but your payout only comes in that final last gasp moments. Apophis and the VPW team did a fantastic job to give life to this table and to ensure that it delivers on the adrenaline rush inherent to the design.
