Buzz Off - SWAT THE FLY! mod with multi-fly mode (source - Buzz Off! v1.0 by Anthias, mod by Arminio)

Buzz Off! - SWAT THE FLY! mod - with multi-fly mode!
Damn! Those flies GOT INTO THE PINBALL!
This table is a modified version of "Buzz Off!" VPX table v1.0, made by Anthias.
Mod made with permission from Anthias.
Original table can be downloaded here: https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/29065-buzz-off/
IMPORTANT!
If you have problems like black screen, problems with starting from PinUP Popper or any other strange behavior, please rename VPX file (and INI file if you use it) to something shorter and without blanks - something like Buzz_Off_SWAT_THE_FLY_mod.vpx or Buzz-Off-SWAT-THE-FLY-mod.vpx and try then. It might help. If these solutions does not solve black screen, try also without my INI file and try also in "Window" layout mode (as I recommended below in "RECOMMENDATIONS" section).
Thanks Curse, Bossman44, thechadisgr8, PhartusMcBlumpkin and force10 for all solutions!
ABOUT MOD:
***********
All my mods are made with the intention to look and sound as realistic as possible, and I always try to avoid anything that couldn't exist on a real device. But this time, no... The original by Anthias is so funny that I couldn't resist going 'over the rainbow' - and here it is!
I have no clue about the exact game rules (except what's written on the instruction card), but still - there is something rewarding about hitting everything you can on the table. This includes flies that cross the playfield one by one, or in a swarm during multi-fly mode, just to annoy you... Squash them with the ball for extra points and a ball saver! And if you want to clean up the mess you made, just press the right Magna-Save key while the ball is in the plunger lane, and you're good to go! Or wait for a giant hand to do it for you if the playfield gets super dirty... You'll see what I mean when you start playing
+ check "SPECIIAL FEATURES" section below for details about squashing....
DISCLAIMER:
***********
Every living being deserves to live, and flies are no exception. Even though they are part of the food chain, carriers of diseases, and the cause of various problems, just like some other insects, I do not justify killing flies or any insects for the sake of entertainment. However, this is just a game where everything is allowed, including the killing of digital flies.
No real flies were harmed during the making of this mod! 👍
SPECIAL THANKS:

RECOMMENDATIONS:
******************
If you play this mod in Cabinet mode, please set "View layout mode" (F12 menu) to "Window" and configure the POV settings there. Otherwise you may have problems with positions of some graphic elements and reflections etc... So, for those who haven't set this up yet, I've included my own INI file with my POV settings in the ZIP archive. It is far from perfect, but it works well on my setup and might be helpful as a starting point for yours.
ZIP CONTENT:
************
VPX Main instruction cards: Two versions (a cutout version and one with parts of the apron) translated from the original Portuguese instruction card of the Taito Sure Shot table, modified to fit the rules of this mod. Additional instruction card: Dedicated to the "SWAT THE FLY!" feature (explained below in SPECIAL FEATURES section) INI file with my POV settings: As mentioned above, it might not work perfectly for you, but you can use it as a base for your setup. Please use the original wheel and other frontend media files from the original table release by Anthias. They are amazing, and I couldn't make them any better than that!
SPECIAL FEATURES - "SWAT THE FLY!":
*********************************
As mentioned, this mod features an extra "feature" (read "annoyance" :)): flies buzzing around the table! When they land, you can squash them for extra points if the ball has enough speed; otherwise, they will escape (you'll figure out what works while playing ).
NORMAL GAME:
During a normal game, flies appear one by one, and each squashed fly activates a 10-second ball saver (or until the ball drains). Hitting another fly while ball saver is acticive resets its timer again to 10 seconds (you can disable ball saver feature via a script option).
MULTI-FLY MODE:
Hitting the kicker behind the target '8' activates the 'SWAT THE FLY!' multi-fly mode, unleashing a swarm of flies that are much easier to hit for extra points. Each squash here can award the same points as a ramp loop (unless configured differently in the script), but the ball saver is disabled during this mode (well, give those flies a chance ). Multi-fly mode lasts about 40 seconds or until the ball drains - whichever comes first. There is no counter, but the music theme will help you to detect how much time you have...
Every hit will leave a splat, accompanied by a sound effect and (the famous) Wilhelm Scream. These serve as indicators that you hit a fly, which helps since you might accidentally hit one without even seeing it (for example, if it lands behind a bumper). There are 100 total flies available (in total, not per player). If all players combined splat so many flies that the playfield gets super dirty, a giant hand will automatically clean the table on the next ball, and you are good to go again.
Also, you can always clean the table and "reload" the flies by pressing the right Magna-Save key while the ball is in the plunger lane, or by fully restarting the game (note that an F3 restart will not work; you need to exit and start again). Starting a new game will also clean the ball. The giant hand wipe will not.
Tips about the 'SWAT THE FLY' feature can also be found on the new additional card on the apron...
EXPERIMENTAL OPTIONS:
**********************
This game uses the Taito Sureshot ROM, which (like most Taito pinball ROMs) saves the game state to an NVRAM file (sureshot.nv). This is useful if you like picking up where you left off, but it can also be annoying and buggy (I've had issues on one of my setups). To prevent the game state from restoring at startup, you can manually delete the sureshot.nv file each time, but this will also erase the high score. That is why I added a new option ResetGameOnExit to the script.
When active (set to True) and when you exit the game, it will reset everything to default values while keeping the high score.
NOTE: The very first game launch after option activation will restore the last saved state one last time. From then on, every time you exit and restart the game, it will start fresh, with just the high score intact - just like a "normal" pinball ROM.
IMPORTANT!: THIS IS AN EXPERIMENTAL FEATURE! I do not guarantee that it works perfectly on every setup. If you use this option, I am not responsible if high scores get deleted (not kidding) or your PC explodes (kidding ... not? )
For details check "EXPERIMENTAL OPTIONS" in "OPTIONS TO USE" section in script...
CHANGES:
*********
Table graphic changed a bit: ramp is better visible + bug that caused fast ball to jump over the wall and on apron is fixed, green lights toned down, flipper colors changed, changed images and physics on some targets, changes made to some standard lights, added lights on some fly images, added lights for various target indicators (BUZZ, extra ball, new ball etc. - all based on Taito's Sure Shot table which was source for original "Buzz Off!" table which was used for my mod), lights on apron added + some new stuff like bug spray image on ramp (with extra audio when ball goes over rap) etc. ... Added flies that fly around the table + multi-fly mode. Details are above... Optional lockdown bar added - off by default - use F12 menu to turn on/off More options in F12 menu: all original LUTs from source table are here + I added 3 new for completely different color palettes ("Desert storm", "Punchy vibrant" and "Purple haze") + two different fly visibility "modes": normal (darker, more natural flies) or light (a bit lighter flies - you can try if you use darker LUT or just for better fly visibility in general) + mentioned lockdown bar on/off option 2 instruction cards added on apron - original game rules, based on Taito's Sure Shot instruction card but adapted for this table + additional card with short instructions regarding "SWAT THE FLY" and squashing flies in general Lot of new sound effects - some improved, some replaced, some added... you'll hear what I mean New bumper images with added light flashes and simple "twitch" animations on ball-bumper collision and new sound effects (splat, random screams...) 4 new music tracks that randomly plays when game starts (ball gets into the plunger lane) + you can optionally leave amazing original Buzz Off! song as in original table or turn all music off (check options in script - section "OPTIONS TO USE") 4 new voice sound clips that occasionally and randomly plays when ball gets into the plunger lane and when ball goes over ramp... (from Beavis & Butthead "Die, Fly! Die!" episode) When TILT: music stops, lights are off For desktop mode players: changed LEDs colors, added LED frames, added game over, tilt, new record etc. + option to turn off/hide all background info, LEDs... For those of you who uses desktop mode together with standard b2s backglass - check "BackGlassOnDesktop" option in "OPTIONS TO USE section in the script... Added an experimental script option to disable Taito's automatic NVRAM game state saving with keeping high score intact. If you find this Taito ROM feature annoying or buggy, enable this option to reset everything (balls, credits, etc.) to default values upon exit, while keeping the high score - just like a standard pinball ROM. NOTE: Read detail about this in "EXPERIMENTAL OPTIONS" section here or in script. THIS IS EXPERIMENTAL! I am not responsible if you lose your high score (not kidding) or blow up your computer (kidding :). For setup details, check "EXPERIMENTAL OPTIONS" in the script section 'OPTIONS TO USE'. New b2s backglass with full DMD created to use with this mod (additional light animations on b2s and DMD). Download here: https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/30775-buzz off - swat-the-fly-mod-for-buzz-off-table-and-mods-b2s-dmd-image/ Added some ASCII art at the top of the script. NO CENTER PIN HERE! Bloom (Lunar Howl 5)
By Anthias
This is a mod of Fathom by Unclepaulie. Huge thanks to him for his table and for all involved in helpling him make it the best damn Fathom out there. I had to remove some of the vr elements to get it to run on my antiquated cab and I don't have VR so can't confirm if the VR works.
In thezip you will find 6 b2s files. The default one I prefer is named so it will work out of the box but I made five total, each with different art and display positions so there are five numbered 1 to 5. You can rename each and choose the one you like. Or use them to make your own. They are all two screen. I have only attached the one screenshot for now.
There are platfield and plastics images in the table called Fullres and Halfres. The full res is your huge 4 k whatever it is high res version. The half res is half that so it will run on my system. The straight playfield and plastics images are copies of the half res. If you have a good beefy system that can handle it, you might want to export the full res then reimport it as the playfield and as the plastics.
Music is played in the same manner as previous tables, however Bloom is a concept album and as such is best enjoyed in proper sequence. You can download the mpp3s from below for that, or find the link to the album downloads on the band's mega via the website at lunarhowmusic.wordpress.com (and heaps of other information too!) OR near the top of the script in the table set mixmusic to 0 and it will play the album from start to finish in correct order instead of the shuffle that it normally does. Now to the blurb:
Yes, the Lunar Howl project is still going strong.
If you've been following for the music, you're in for a treat. Bloom is the brainchild of the quietest member, Sakura. During the creation of Indestructible Pack the girls in the roleplay had elected to plant an orchard on the farm at Wolf Haven. This was Sakura's idea. Later they had a discussion about the place and how they felt, how they belonged. There was a moment in the swimming hole at dusk, when a large red kangaroo came down for a drink, unbothered by the four wolves in the water. The girls said it was like the landscape was welcoming them to the neighbourhood. Between that and the work on the orchard, they developed a real sense of belonging, particularly Sakura, who through that project experienced great healing and growth. She named the album Bloom. She outlined the vision. She wrote a lions share of the songs and along with Spirit, took a major role in vocals on this album. For the first time you will here her full bodied soprano at work. If you don't get Goosebumps the first time she howls at the harvest moon, you might not have a soul. (Joking of course) Howl at the harvest moon, composed by Spirit, was performed by Sakura, and they then shared vocals for its part two. The result was a movement in the sonic landscape of Bloom that takes it places beyond anything Lunar Howl have done before. And the metaphorical layers on this album are deep.
Track List:
1) Paws In The Dirt
2) Still Waters Run Deep
3) Howl At The Harvest Moon part one
4) Foundations
5) The Trial part one
6) Cycle of Wolf Haven
7) The Orchard’s First Spring

Boston Pkg
This is my first full-fledged table mod, and I owe a tremendous debt of gratitude to Wed21 for giving me written permission to mod his excellent Nugent table (Stern 1978).
I'm an old man now, but my formative pinball-playing teen years were punctuated by the great classic rock bands of the 1970s.
Many of those bands enjoyed the honor of having real pinball machines themed on them and their music. I've always thought it a shame that one stellar band was left out of that lineup:
BOSTON
With this VPX table, I've tried to inject tidbits of the band's history as well as the spirit of the era in which they emerged, maybe a little humor and a few things only die-hard fans would "get". Oh, and of course, their music.
My contribution here consists primarily of sound and graphics (first time I've ever even fired up B2S Designer). All of the credit goes to Wed21 for an outstanding foundation upon which to build.

Blackwater 100 (Bally 1988) v.1.3(cabinet).vpx
By MrJ
*Update v. 1.3 released
Found this original table on vpforums. Pretty fun table once you understand the ruleset. The table was uploaded with full permission to mod without approval. I'd like to continue with the same permissions. I'd love to see what someone can do with this table who has full knowledge of scripting and designing in VPX.
I have no experience with building or designing tables in VPX. I've been playing on this platform for a few years now in my custom built cabinet I modified. This table version is for cabinet users only because if you play it in desktop mode, you will notice many of the graphical flaws. I make no claim of being a professional designer. This is my first public attempt. Feedback, suggestions, and guidance are fully welcome. Hope everyone enjoys!
I modified:
Table & Flipper physics
Ball
Plunger location & physics
Adjusted script so lower flipper buttons are now controlled by magna save only and not by flipper buttons (Necessary for fast line feature)
Fixed issue with Downhill and Cliff Hanger not registering
Adjusted upper and lower kicker to prevent random drains
Added some hidden walls to allow ball smooth ball flow where necessary
Added some transparency to the plastic ramps so the balls don't appear to float in air
Some cosmetic adjustments, including LUT, and reducing bloom
I'm sure I'm forgetting some other things
The table in it's current state is playable and enjoyable in cabinet mode.
The original table (uploader Goldchicco) and original table description can be found on vpforums site: https://www.vpforums.org/index.php?app=downloads&showfile=15145
Special thanks to the original authors, without you this table would not be possible.

Permission to Mod: Yes without approval
Always better to understand the rules of a game to maximize the fun!
Blackwater 100 - Rules
Race Rules:
• Light all 8 sections to finish 1 lap.
• Making "fast line" completes a flashing section.
• Use lower buttons (magna save) to change flashing sections.
After each lap try for "special test":
1. Shoot for top saucer.
2. When ball kicks out, shoot for "downhill" to finish "special test" to score 1 million points and "special".
To start: (skill shot)
• Lower button drops start gate.
• Fast reaction to green light scores more.
• Fastest reaction scores 250,000.

Break (Video Dens 1986) v2.1
(2-in-1 Original + Sound Mod)
https://www.ipdb.org/machine.cgi?id=5569
VP9 FS table by TAB, Destruk, dboyrecords
VPX Conversion by Javito
Sound and Flasher Mod by XenonPH
v2.1b
Added STAT's ball rolling sounds to Sound Manager.
Thanks to DigitalArts for the info, and sending me the ball rolling sounds!
Thanks to STAT for adding the ball rolling script!
v2.1 (2-in-1 Original + Sound Mod)
Totally reworked my old sound mod script, which was frankly embarrassing.
Added Sound Mod Option at top of script for those who want to play the original table without the Sound Mod. (Sound Mod is on by default)
Color LED's Option at top of script to choose 5 different colors for the VPinMAME window.
Cabinet users can find Option at top of the script to set the controller to B2S.Server.
Added new sound fx.
Music is played from the Sound Manager now.
Added 10 flashers that only flash in sound mod mode.
LUT's can be toggled by holding down Left Magna-Save, and pressing Right Magna-Save.
LUT's can only be toggled when Ball is NOT in Play.
Reshaped all Insert Lights, and reduced the Halo Height from 85 down to 1.
I first would like to thank TAB, Destruk, dboyrecords, Kiwi, Arngrim, STAT, and anyone else who had a helping hand, for the work they did on the VP9 FS version table!
Find Original VP9 FS version here...

I also would like to thank Javito for converting this table to VPX!

Bob Marley Mod
By SERGIOSOUZA
This is a modified table based on the "Snake Machine" table by creator "JPSalas" (with his permission).
The table is a tribute to the reggae icon, at the height of his success in mid-1962.
The entire layout of the table has been modified, and songs have been added and can be changed through the "Magna Save" keys.
Right Magna Save skips to the next track.

Orginal table by Coindropper, HauntFreaks, Dozer, GTXJoe, JayFoxRox, Draifet!
What's new:
All new lamps for LED-look
Sideblades (Wasn't the easiest thing to get right. Had to raise the side-rails to get level with the backwall...became something )
Created a wall against the backwall and backwards to prevent glare from lights. Like a roof
I hope you like it.

Bumper (Bill Port 1977) v4.0.2 mod
By Cliffy
Bumper is a rare Bill Port (1977) pinball with a 50's style comic book sci-fi motif, a motif thats right up my alley.
I loved JP's original release but wanted to modify it a bit for added realism.
I did all the work in vpx 10.8.0 RC3 and this is what I recommend you run it with. It will work in 10.7.4 but some things will not be visible
Hole edges were added, proper speckled green primwalls, glass channel and lock bar prims among other things. All new work done is listed in the table script info
Hauntfreaks took a liking to my project and offered to make shadows for it and tweak the physics materials as well as make a MUCH better b2s (look in Link to B2S). He also upscaled the playfield and plastics for me. I need to express my sincerest gratitude to @hauntfreaks for mentoring me and sharing his talent and skills.
Note I've created a new desktop scoring backdrop in 2k as well as a new backdrop for use with a b2s. Either can be selected in the toggle backglass view dropdown
I'm pleased with how it looks and plays and thrilled that JP and Akiles50000 allowed me to mod and upload it here.
Enjoy!

Big Trouble in Little China with DOF-nFozzy-Scorbit
By merlinrtp
Line 2018 Error - If you run into this error. Please update your FlexDMD to v 1.9 Fixed -- It has the patch required to prevent this error. See link in the comments section until this new version gets approved. Thanks Cliffy for prividing
Version adds nFozzy Physics and Scorbit to this amazing table.
Huge thanks to TeamTuga & Balutito for letting me mod and release this version of THEIR table/pup.
For this version you will need these versions of the table and pup, I have also included links to accessory files
SCORBIT
To enable Scorbit you MUST set it to active in the table script - for screen options 1 or 2 you also need to set an additional variable so the WR code displays properly.
Line 54 :: Set to 1
ScorbitActive = 0 ' Is Scorbit Active , 1 - yes
Const ScorbitOption1or2 = 0 ' if using Pup options 1 or 2 set this value to 1, otherwise leave set to 0

Big Game (Stern 1980) - redbone(MOD)
By redbone
Today is my first MOD release with permission granted by jpsalas. I'm very new to this scene and the intention of my modifications to this table is mainly to upgrade the most visible graphics making a 4k+ experience more enjoyable. I concentrate heavily on the playfield and plastics first. Some of the plastics were merged, tweaked, and extended to better match the playfield without steering far from the originals. Bumpers and little things like the details in spinners second. Then I checked out a broad view of lighting and a few where I think it was lacking under the plastics. Lastly I did a little flair lighting with the claws on the tiger and face of the tiger between the flippers. Below is a full list of mods that I can recall.
I'd like to thank JP for being so open and sharing of his table and bigus1 for guidance. It is my hope one day that he will include my playfield and plastics into his mainline release for this classic table - BIG GAME (Stern 1980).
Big Game by Stern 1980
v1.0.1
-more plastics worked on - more to come...
-took light off tigers face between flippers and did something more subtle with the eyes - may try to make some of this configurable in the future via script
v1.0.0
20230214 dated version MOD from jpsalas' v4.0.0 and elements from his previous 1.x versions.
-playfield upscaled > 4k from VP9 version 1.x from JP's initial releases
-added real wood picture to the playfield and plunger area
-playfield tweaked and reworked including much of the texts
-plastics upscaled and heavily reworked
-joined some plastics and expanded to match table
-added nylon plastics missing from plastics
-added lights to some places that were missing or needed more lights
-added lights to aGiLights collection
-changed color to some lighting under plastics to prevent washing out colors
-added lighting to some playfield elements such as low light to the tiger's face between flippers
-added blinking lights to claws on tiger
-recreated spinner graphics
-reworked bumper caps
*I reported a "blurp" sound that can be heard every 4 seconds or so - https://github.com/vpinball/pinmame/issues/98 The thread was closed because apparently this is by design and can be fixed with some dip switches. Please read that link.
***Fix for "blurp" is to press F6 in game and change dip switch for "Background Sound" to ON***
https://www.ipdb.org/files/249/Stern_1980_Big_Game_Corrections_to_Game_Manual_March_1980.pdf
All other functions included in JP's 4.0.0 version should still be intact.

Bloodsport

I know that some will be delighted to see this film again for the 10th time
Bloodsport
Based on FirePower II (Williams 1983) By Goldchicco, Apophis based on Walamab vpx table
Thank you so much to @Gman77 who didn't hesitate for a second when I told him about this project.
Fast as JC Van Damme, he made the puppack you'll need to play with this table:
* no music on this table which only works with the puppack*
had fun and a special thanks to Goldchicco, Apophis , Walamab and everyone who worked on this table before me.
Do you like my tables? did you load one or two? Do not hesitate, buy me a little beer from time to time, all this work makes me thirsty
Enjoy

By versins77
Table created by cyberpez
Changes and additions:
- nFozzys physics
- Fleep's sounds
- ball shadow and dynamic shadows
- lut selector (use magnasave)
- some changes here and there (graphics and primitives)
- some plastics upscaled
Special thanks to:
- cyberpez
- VPW
PS:
This table is a mod, not a creation. All the compliments go to those who have been building tables for all these years. A mod is only the addition of a few elements to upgrade the table. Nothing less, nothing more. Most of the improvements come from the incredible work of the VPW Team.
