The Quest stands upon the edge of a knife. Stray but a little, and it will fail, to the ruin of all.
The VPin Workshop Fellowship proudly presents an entirely reimagined and originally illustrated Lord of the Rings pinball experience.
The journey began when we received an excellent playfield scan, but soon found ourselves wanting to drastically change the artwork. So began the long journey into the depths of Mordor, where many challenges were encountered and overcome. The table is entirely rebuilt, with much effort spent toward making it as physically accurate as possible. All the figurines have been scanned from the actual pinball toys. The table is exquisitely modelled and raytraced, with special visual features added to some modes to enhance the drama. Your quest through this game will not be easy, but we hope it will be enjoyable!

For a long time, I've been quietly admiring the incredible work being done in the VPW Discord. It's a hub of creativity and innovation, with so many talented individuals that it’s almost impossible to name them all. However, some contributions are just too significant not to highlight.
Shout-outs to:
Sixtoe, Apophis, Tomate, Iaakki, Bord And last, but certainly not least, Niwak Niwak deserves special thanks—not only for the Blender Toolkit but also for pushing VPX 8 to levels I never imagined possible just a few years ago.
Of course, the incredible efforts of Jsm174, Freezy, Toxie, Fuzzel, Gaston, and other core developers have also been invaluable. You’ve all helped make this community something to be proud to belong to. Thank you! ❤️

Watching VPW's YouTube channel, especially the videos by Sixtoe, Bord, and Apophis, was very inspiring for me. Their tutorials introduced some new tricks for the editor and toolkit that I couldn’t resist trying them out myself.
I had even bought a new computer capable of rendering without too much hassle—so the timing felt perfect. Around a month back or so, I came across an old update to a VP9 version of Space Riders. Frankly, it didn’t play well and, in my opinion, looked even worse. That’s when I decided to see what resources were available online to rebuild it.
I started with a decent-quality playfield image and some surprisingly detailed manuals. Using these, I made the game at least playable, albeit in a bare-bones way with just walls and switches. Then I wondered: Could I take this further?
After some searching, I found plastics that weren’t too bad and attempted to scale them into something close to proper proportions. The Blender Toolkit didn’t have every piece I needed, but it made the process infinitely easier.
By this point, I had invested too much time to stop. So, I decided to take a more VPW-inspired approach to the build. This is the result of that journey.
After sharing my progress in the Discord, Mecha_Enron showed interest in improving my work. See detailes, see table script.
Space Riders isn't the most popular machine out there. It is after-all an Atari. But, I had fun using the new techniques. Who knows, maybe there will be other stuff coming from me in the future ?!
This release is free for anyone except Bigus1 to improve or make changes to. If you do, I prefer to get mentioned in copies derived from this exact release.

This is the 1977 Table, heavily modified by the Owner (with the Broken Record Mod, The 1977 Plastics, LED Spinner Arrow Inserts, Malcolm Lights, All the Bells and Whistles) mixed with the 1982 ROM (included in the table) featuring State of the Art Sounds and Music...for 1982!
Nudge the Table to change songs but don't TILT, Slam Dance in the POGO but someone will call the Cops, Shoot the targets on the Record Player to light your Band Inlane Roll-Overs and Collect your Band Bonus in the Scoop, Light Five Silver Jubilee Crowns to ignite the Safety Pin Lane and rollover to accumulate Multipliers, Spell & Collect Pistols 3 times to Collect Malcolm and Light the England's Dreaming Spinner, create Anarchy with your Slingshots and build your bonus, and rip those Spinners! Most of All Have FUN! ENJOY!
There is currently no B2S Backglass or Wheel for this Game. Please feel free to create one and share.

This is a band that I have listened to over and over again. The Police rocked my adolescence with my SONY 1 then 2 portable music player.
Like me, I hope that you will remember this wonderful period, the first girlfriends and the drinking sessions (rum, beer, vodka...) with your friends.
To activate the music you must use the “MAGNASAVE” button or on the keyboard the “ctrl” key to the right of the space bar.
Go listen to some really good music And please post a review. It's free but a thank you is nothing, so do it.

Pain (Original 2024)

Pain est un projet musical suédois qui mélange heavy metal et influences de musique électronique et techno. Le projet a débuté comme un projet de loisir pour le leader du groupe Peter Tägtgren, dont l'idée était de fusionner heavy metal avec des influences électro-industrielles et techno inspirées des années 1980. Tägtgren, qui est également le chanteur/guitariste d' Hypocrisy et producteur de ses propres studios The Abyss, est le seul membre actuel.
Le premier album éponyme de Pain est sorti en 1997, et depuis, Pain a sorti six autres albums et un DVD. À partir du deuxième, tous les albums de Pain ont atteint les charts suédois, en grande partie grâce à des singles à succès tels que End of the Line, Shut Your Mouth et Same Old Song. Début février 2006, Blabbermouth.net a annoncé que Pain avait signé avec Roadrunner Records. Actuellement, Pain est sous la bannière de Nuclear Blast Records. En 2008, Pain était en tournée en tant qu'interprète de soutien pour le groupe de power metal symphonique finlandais Nightwish. Au cours de cette tournée, le chanteur Peter Tägtgren, le batteur David Wallin et le bassiste Johan Husgafvel ont été agressés par un gang à Leipzig. Tägtgren a reçu 10 points de suture au visage, Wallin a subi une commotion cérébrale et des points de suture à la tête, et Husgafvel a eu le nez cassé.
Pain a joué en première partie de Nightwish lors de la deuxième moitié de leur tournée mondiale Dark Passion Play, aux côtés du groupe de pop rock finlandais Indica, à partir du premier concert à Londres, au Royaume-Uni, le 11 mars 2009. Pain un sorti son septième album, You Only Live Twice, le 3 juin 2011 via Nuclear Blast. Ils ont sorti leur huitième album studio intitulé Coming Home le 9 septembre 2016. Le 8 mars, Tägtgren a annoncé le neuvième album intitulé I Am qui sortira le 17 mai 2024.

Super Spin (Gottlieb 1977) 1.1

Super Spin is the 2 player version of Jet Spin. Yes, one of the EM Underdogs has a fascination with Gottlieb 2 players
Gottlieb was starting to close development of electro-mechanical pinballs by this time and designer Ed Krynski really threw his favorite features into it.
This table features a roto-target, a vari-target, two pop bumpers and a kickout saucer.
Art by the fabulous Gordon Morison brings the space surfing comic style characters to life.
EM Underdogs decided it was certainly a worthy project and gave it our usual, loving treatment with all thanks and respect to Loserman76 (rip) and @GNance who made the first release for vpx.
@Silversurfer vectorized and retouched the plastics for fantastic sharpness and color
@teisen took on the inserts, rototarget and new cover and much of the lighting including the pops
@JCalhoun lent his help with playfield shadows and helped Cliffy add Fleep sounds
@hauntfreaks gave it his fine tuned magic lighting work and made a new, brilliant, directb2s (see link above!)
@Cliffy dived into the details resizing and positioning everything to make it look as accurate as possible
A full list of everything done is at the top of the table script
This table was made using vpx 10.8.0 RC5 but should work in 10.7.4, although some visual elements will not show.
As with many of Loserman/Gnance tables there is an option menu available by holding the left flipper before starting a game
There are also desktop scoring or b2s backdrops available by changing in the editor/toggle backglass view / DT Image dropdown.
We hope you enjoy another classic EM release by the team at EM Underdogs!

Just a few notes on this...
I have included table rules in a PDF for your convenience
It is highly recommended you play with the PUP Pack as almost all sounds/triggers are generated from the PUP Pack
This table does not have a rom and uses Flex DMD
The table has been entered in the DOF Config Tool by Terry Red (Thank You Terry) however more testing
is required to add the DOF commands. DOF will be coming at a later date
Custom Backglass created for Full DMD Pup Pack Users for their Backglass Screen
I have included a media Wheel file for your use in the Pinup System as well

The Story

Objective
The game has 12 battles against the world’s most famous killers, and a big final Wizard mode.
Defeat all 12 killers to play the final Wizard Mode, Killer Mania! Surely a score frenzy awaits!

Table requires B2S to play in VR.
This Table Requires VPX 10.8 GL.
The Playfield lights and LED LIGHTS, only works on VPinMAME-sc-3.6-720 and older versions, but only in Desktop or Cabinet mode. In VR only are working the led lights, the playfield lights don't work. (Problem reported to github, same problem on World Poker Tour)
This table Works in DT/FS/VR and MR, but specially in VR.
Special thanks to DaRdog for the VRROOM.
To change VR Room (Mega/Minimal) or Mixed Reality, press F12 and change Room in the menu

I changed the colors of the board and added several musics, you can of course change the music with other MP3s, you just need to give them a number. In short, you must replace the MP3s in the "MUSIC" folder if you want to personalize the table to your liking.
I thank jpsalas the creator of the original painting, who wrote to me it's pretty. So I wanted
also let you benefit from it.
