Bally's Skyrocket, a new VPX build from scratch.
A very thruthful recreation of this old gem BUT I might have fallen into a frenzic "scripting flow" and perhaps added a few enhacements to the table.
These extra featurers can be switched off in the script.

  2. super mario galaxy pinball

    It's me! Remdwaas!

First of all the round of thanks:
Thanks to jpsals for helping me with the select player code and the last 7 problems that has been fixed today! Thanks again JP for trouble shooting the mario table!
Thanks to 3rdaxis for pushing me to do my own texture on a 3d model after 4 days i finally did it with blender!
Thanks to knorr for using his bucket and ramp from the soutpark table(i made the layout almost the same.)
Thanks to ninuzzu for letting me use parts from the Super Mario Brothers (1992) table

    November 16, 2007
I was in the hardware store buying super mario galaxy for the Wii! This was something new, mario in space, walking around planets with nice music! When i saw there where only 2 mario pinball tables i needed to make the thirt one.

This is an original table, with everything included in the vpx file, and it doesn't need any external program to run. It can be run in desktop mode and in FS mode. The DMD will rotate accordingly. This is a 5 ball game with on 3,6 and 9 million an extra ball. This table is with ball savers on the side for more playing time!

For this table you can play as:
mario - diffrent playerball/ball lost dmd/ slingshot player and 50+ own sounds
luigi - diffrent playerball/ball lost dmd/ slingshot player and 50+ own sounds
peach - diffrent playerball/ball lost dmd/ slingshot player and 50+ own sounds
wario - diffrent playerball/ball lost dmd/ slingshot player and 50+ own sounds

    - Each round you have the opportunity to defeat bowser. Kamek put a targetbank spell up, so first you need to hit the targetbank 3 times before you can hit browser 5 times after that. Can you defeat browser 5 times and win the super jackpot?
    - Defeat spike, boo, koopa, goomba and bomb after 5 times hitting the target you will get an extra ball(if multiball is not enabled allready)
    - Did you find the switch for king boo? he will send his boo army up and you can hit the boo's(code modified from the ghostbusterslimer table jpsalas) for extra bonuspoints--
    - Hit the flag for extra points!
    - There is a slotmachine in the castle, do you get lucky?
    - Get all 8 galaxy's (Terrace, Fountain, Kitchen, Bedroom, Engine Room, Garden, Comet Observatory, Trial) so you collect all the letters smgalaxy for an extra multiball bonus
    - Hit the yoshi bucket and have 25% change to find a yoshi egg, after 5 eggs a multiball bonus is waiting.

Leave a message behind and rank the table please!

    Mushroom on!

  3. Solar Ride (Gottlieb, 1979)

I took 32assassin's build of Totem, and altered it to become Solar Ride. Playfield came from a French site regarding a restoration. Plastics, backglass image and machine certificate came from the machine I actually happen to have.

Do note that there is only one slingshot on the original table, and this asymmetrical layout has been duplicated in this recreation.

  4. Striker (Gottlieb 1982)

I want to thank, first of all, 32assassin, who very kindly helped me to recreate this table (like so many other times) saying thank you is little.
This table interested me to be sports, a topic that I like very much, recreate the playfield extracting the images of the table of DBoyrecord, thanks to him also for having found that image.
Also thanks to TAB who was the pioneer of this table.
The recreation was from scratch, starting from the blank table, I found several problems that I could solve, except the launch of the ball, which is done through a light (L12), that problem was solved by 32assassin who also added me Led marker lights and I clean the code.
Try to make it as close to the original table, unfortunately there are not many photos and I only found a very poor quality video of tnt, I hope you enjoy it and if you find any error or something that seems wrong notify me.
Thanks also to Thalamus for always being willing to help, I embrace the distance friend!
PS: press F6 to get extras like credits balls and other configurations, thanks to Inkochnito

  5. Son's of Anarchy (Original 2019) VPX

This is my mod of Javier's conversion of Pinwizkid's awesome Future Pinball Original Metal Slug table. Based on the television series Son's of Anarchy. This table features images, sounds, music, and video from the FX original series and is "R" rated and not appropriate for younger eyes and ears.

This is the same version previously hosted on VPINBALL.com with no changes. RANDR lost it and turned in his wings so I needed a new home for it

Includes the full media pack with wheel, table, backglass, instruction cards, and flyer images along with ULTRADMD folder. Please copy the FPVPX.vbs file into your scripts folder (needed to work). This table works perfectly with ULTRADMD but seems to be incompatible with FLEXDMD (not sure why but would appreciate any help to correct)

    Enjoy!

  6. Swing Along (Gottlieb 1963)

Apparently this was the first pinball table with "swinging targets" now known as spinners. A little bit of pinball history that needs to be preserved for the VPX community.

I have been going through the awesome Loserman tables and have got to the "S" tables and found a table I started building from scratch ages ago. Strangely it is one he didn't do so now I'm inspired to actually finish it as my tiny tribute to the EM Legend

  7. Super Orbit (Gottlieb 1983)

Gottlieb's Super Orbit! Lots of fun to play, with a varitarget, orbits, and lots of bonus opportunities.  Redbone spent considerable time to get the playfield and plastic images just right, as resources for this table were very limited.  As usual lots of hours were put in on this one, and lots of tweaking on the varitarget and physics to emulate a real machine.

I implemented the latest VPW standards, physics, GI and shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, updated backglass for desktop, roth standup and varitarget targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, gBOT system and trough. Redbone provided the playfield and updated the plastics and apron, and other images.  Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass and Silversurfer updated the cab artwork. I also added options for balls, ball brightness, LUTs, Dip settings, siderails, and plenty of other VR stuff.  DarthVito provided a few additional wallpaper VR Room walls.

You can find the ROM at pinballnirvana.com... sorbit.zip.

Also, I've included the nvram file to initially set the Dips, as the ROM creates settings that should be adjusted.  You can either grab the nvram file and put it in your nvram directory, or follow this process to do an initial setup for yourself.  (When you open the table, hit F6 (that'll load the default DIPS and display them). You can then select various ROM options, and I recommend these shown below.  Once entered, you can exit out, and in the script, you can set the SetDIPSwitches to zero. That will set the ROM settings and turn off the option.  If you later want to change that, you can turn it back on and change the dips.)
    - 3 ball
    - Playfield special of "extra ball"
    - Game mode of "replay"
    - Novelty of "normal"
    - Check the Match, Credits

Thanks again to Redbone for the playfield and plastic images, Rothbauerw for the varitarget code, Hauntfreaks for the updated VR Backglass, DarthVito for additional VR walls, and Silversurfer for the cab art images! Also thanks to everyone else from the VPW team that provided feedback!

  10. Star Wars (Gottlieb 1978)

This is my single player wedgehead version of the pretend Gottlieb table from 1978 (yes not really a Gottlieb). I created this to go with my Star Wars themed wedgehead design virtual cabinet.  Much help from hauntfreaks and sliderpoint, and I'm sure others.

Hold down left flipper button while not in a game to bring up the options menu.

NOTE: this was made in 2016 for whatever version of VPX was out at the time, I have NOT gone through and retested everything to see if it still works correctly in 10.6 or 10.7beta.

Description pulled from wayback archive of vpinball:

This is a recreation of Gottlieb's 1978 Star Wars Wedgehead. See below the instructions for the story behind this machine.
Big thanks to hauntfreaks and sliderpoint for graphics, primitives, testing and gameplay ideas.  Graphics for the table predominately come from the 1977 Marvel comic series rendition of the Star Wars movie.  As usual several options are available through the options menu (hold left flipper before starting game).  A few more options are available in the script near the top.
    directb2s included in download
FS settings for my cab which has playfield in portrait orientation, you may need to adjust.
    Instructions:
Complete three missions to activate the tractor beam.
    1. Advance Lukes Jedi training by hitting the labeled targets.
    2. Retrieve the Death Star plans by clearing the top rollovers.
    3. Rescue the princess by blasting down the drop targets.
Once the tractor beam is active complete a trench run to lock a ball in the Death Star.
Release the tractor beam by hitting the labeled hole in R2-D2, starting Death Star multi-ball, opening the portal access, and resetting the missions.
Hit the portal within the multiballs lives to earn extra ball, or the portal closes again.

The Story of Gottlieb's 1978 STAR WARS (fan FICTION)
What was that?  You haven’t heard of one of Gottlieb’s last wedgehead pinball machines called Star Wars?  Well, not many have.  Let me take you back to a more innocent time and tell you all about it.
It was the spring of 1977, a teenage DorgBog, mild mannered alter ego to the more famous and notorious BorgDog, had just gotten home from his favorite comic store.  In his hands was Marvel’s newest release ahead of the much anticipated motion picture Star Wars.  This was the first of what was to be a 6 issue comic rendition of the movie.  DorgBog was very enthralled by this comic, and the following month by the epic space fantasy movie of the same name.  Luke, Han, R2-D2 and the rest occupied every waking moment of the young man’s mind.   This was of course before he discovered girls were more than annoyances, but I digress.
DorgBog, unknown to all but his closest confidants, was also a pinball junkie.  His meager allowance and pay from his paper route invariably wound up feeding the silver balled gods and goddesses of his favorite Gottliebs. And in young DorgBog’s mind was churning the maelstrom of a the most awesome collaboration of epic forces to ever grace the pinball world!  DorgBog was on a mission to combine the might of Marvel’s comics, Gottlieb’s pinball prowess, and Lucas’ Star Wars empire (pun intended into the greatest wedgehead known to man!
DorgBog was consumed by this idea.  Spending countless hours writing letters, on paper no less this was after all before the age of the internet and email, and begging stamps from his parents, entreating the 3 parties to consider his idea.  Young DorgBog began including sketches of his ideas for the machine including things such as a giant Death Star complete with trench run, and multiple balls in play at the same time; unheard of in Gottlieb’s vast arsenal of pinball wizardry!
Finally when DorgBog had almost given up hope after weeks and weeks of writing (that’s a long time in a young boys life). DorgBog received an envelope marked with a return address of the D. Gottlieb & Company in Northlake, Illinois.  DorgBog raced with his treasure to his tiny closet of a room, and into the closest of the tiny closet of a room, this was after all top-secret type stuff.  Upon opening the envelope young DorgBog’s heart fell, his dreams crushed with a cease and desist letter telling him to stop harassing the company, that there was no way a license deal could be arranged, and no way the pinball machine would be built.  Multiball?! Scandalous!
A few weeks later, when DorgBog was finally coming to grips with his lost dream, another letter arrived in the mail.  This one in a plain envelope and with no return address.  What he found inside rekindled his faith in humanity and restored joy to the young man.  An engineer at Gottlieb had found the discards of Dorgbog’s plans and thought them a grand idea.  So without knowledge of his supervisors this young, and also Star Wars crazed engineer, begin building a prototype table to present to his bosses and convince them it was the best idea ever!  Buying numerous copies of the comics and cutting out panels to adorn his secret project, the Star Wars wedgehead was born!
Well one was birthed, a prototype, that never did see production as Gottlieb had changed directions and was on its way to the future with computer chips and processing units, and all those other fancy terms and the single player wedgehead was to be no more.  Eventually when the young disgruntled engineer abandoned Gottlieb, he took his prototype with him, smuggled out piece by piece as there were trademark and copy write issues you know.  Feeling bad for having raised the hopes of a young pinhead, he drove through the dark and gloomy night to the home of young DorgBog and bestowed upon him the gift of the Star Wars wedgehead prototype, with the strict admonishment that it never, EVER, be seen by the general public.
DorgBog kept his promise to that engineer and kept Star Wars carefully hidden from all eyes.  Unfortunately for the mild mannered DorgBog, he was taken over by the nefarious BorgDog alter ego, who subsequently proceeded to rampage the countryside, oh and turned to the dark side of video games because by then, Asteroids, Defender, Pac Man and too many glorious glowing gems of greatness had burst upon the scene and pinball began a long decline.  DorgBog’s beloved Star Wars was lost to the annals of time, until recently when a fine aged BorgDog finally discovered the silver balled gods for himself and recalled that now decrepit machine languishing in storage.
So here, finally, after many long lost years is the long lost prototype edition of Gottlieb’s 1978 Star Wars wedgehead.  Just don’t tell Marvel or Lucas (Disney, whatever) as I’m sure they’d want in on the action.

This is a work of fiction, any resemblance to real or imagined characters is entirely coincidental.

  11. Spectrum (Bally 1981) VPW

    "Get A Clue!"
VPW are proud to present Spectrum by Bally.
Sixtoe was looking for a relatively simple but good looking table to scratch build start to finish himself, mainly to teach himself Blender and the VPX toolkit and this seemed to tick all the boxes. But before that the playfield and plastics needed to be redrawn, with Sixtoe doing the playfield and cyberpez doing an amazing job of the plastics.
    Spectrum is a very rare game in the wild (500 made with over half unsold / scrapped), it was unsuccessful mainly because when it was released no-one understood the rules as they're very different from normal, so I very much suggest reading the rules or watching the rules video linked at the bottom, but quick overview;
It's literally a pinball version of the Mastermind board game.
You have to guess 4 colours in a row, hit all 3 drop targets to guess that colour.
If you guessed right the colour will flash, if you guess it wrong it will be solid.
If you hit a lit saucer or the center top saucer they will give you a clue.
If you guess all 4 in the correctly it will increase your superstar status.

  13. Shovel Knight 4k RusstyTMod1.0

Fast, Fun & Captivating. The eye popping table graphics, attention to detail with lighting, music and effects will draw you in from the moment you this start this game. This game has 10 modes, 32  sound tracks, changing colour lights and continual backglass game play instructions that guide you through an action packed pinball adventure. The rolling ball sounds on ramps and the table are embellished with fx effects that generate an immersive pinball experience . This table is deserving of a place in anyones cabinet or desktop and the uniqueness of the scripting to backglass makes this table deserving of a place in Virtual Pinball history. Enjoy!
VP 10.7 is required to play this game. This game is fully scripted and requires no ROM. The game and backglass are included in the download and the EM reels are set to visible for desktop use. A 3 screen backglass by outhere is also available to download. The rules for the modes and bonuses are on the Apron rule Cards. All credit to Wizball for creating a very clever smooth running game game and thanks of course to him for helping me during the mod. This game is fast flowing game so you will have to refer to the apron rules and hints at some time. The full rule set is in Wizballs original post if you would like to see these.
For desktop players open the game in edit mode and check that the preferences are set for desktop mode. If this is the first time you are using VP7. ie. Video graphics has Cabinet mode deselected and Full Screen mode selected and in the key nudge preference ensure that B2S is deselected. Save and close and reopen.
If you are still having trouble seeing the score on the playfield then you do the following
Open the script, Line 11 says:
Const bAlwaysDisplayScore = False ' Always show the score on the playfield even if there is B2S
    Make it say:
Const bAlwaysDisplayScore = True ' Always show the score on the playfield even if there is B2S

    Mods in this table include;
New table graphics and plastics.Compiled using graphics from the Yacht Club and light and plastic techniques that I have been experimenting with.
    New bumper and backdrop graphics
Character Lighting created to fit the 11 character silhouettes and lighting of the central shovel knight character illuminates the bottom playfield in conjunction with bumper GI.
Music has been allocated to the Backglass and table sounds added for the wire ramps, targets, kicker in and rolling ball wave files adjusted to -13dB to hear the ball roll.

Thankyou for checking out  Wizball's fantastic game and please leave him a thank you.

  15. Star Race (Gottlieb 1980) w VR Room

Gottlieb's Race Thru Space!  Another extended wide-body machine like Circus.  Lots of fun to play, two Varitargets, a hard to hit bonus saucer, and fast loops.  Redbone had been working on getting the playfield to a much better state, and reached out to me to see if I'd like to create the table from it.  It was very similar to physics, style, etc. from the Circus table that I just worked on, so I got to work. Lots of hours were put in on this one, and lots of tweaking on the Varitargets to emulate a real machine.

As usual, I updated to latest VPW standards, physics, GI and shadow baking, Lampz and 3D inserts, dynamic shadows, updated backglass for desktop, playfield mesh for a saucer bevel, roth drop and standup targets, standalone compatibility, sling corrections, optional DIP adjustments, updated flipper physics, varitargets, VR and fully hybrid modes, Flupper style bumpers and lighting, gBOT system and trough. Redbone provided the playfield and updated the plastics and apron, also provided some ambient sounds.  Hauntfreaks provided the higher resolution VR backglass and cab artwork. I also added options for balls, ball brightness, LUTs, Dip settings, ambient sounds, siderails, and plenty of other VR stuff.  Hauntfreaks even provided a fun space themed wallpaper VR Room walls.

I've included an option for two ROMS (you can find them at pinballnirvana.com... starrac7 and starrace).  The original 6 digit ROM, and a 7 digit ROM (so when you score over a million you can see it).  There's an option in the script to change that, however I've defaulted to the 7 digit.  Make sure to grab the correct backglass if you are in a cab environment.  Hauntfreaks just released the corresponding backglasses.

I've included the nvram files to initially set the Dips, as the ROM creates settings that should be adjusted.  You can either grab those nvram files and put them in your nvram directory, or follow this process to do an initial setup for yourself.
    - 3 ball, Playfield special of "extra ball"
    - Game mode of "replay"
    - Novelty of "normal"
    - Tilt of "ball in play"
    - Check the Match, Credits, Sound when scoring
    - AND most importantly, "Scoring Sounds Only".

Again note... the background sounds from this era can get kind of annoying... especially if you have a good bass speaker in your cab.  Make sure to follow the above procedure for turning the sounds option to "Scoring Sounds Only".

Thanks again to Redbone for the playfield and plastic images, the space sound, and Hauntfreaks for the updated Backglass, and cab art images! Also thanks to Rothbauerw for his linear target code, bietekwiet, passion4pins, and everyone else from the VPW team that provided feedback!

  17. Saint Seiya 4k - I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco 4K - Desktop Version

Hi everyone. I am Giorgio83 or Gio83 in vpuniverse.
    This is my first table.
I modified the jicho2003 table (which I thank for giving me the modification permission) using a completely different graphic style and modified the voices with the Italian version of the famous Saint Seiya manga.

I uploaded desktop version and B2s too.

  22. Strikes N' Spares (Premier/Gottlieb 1995)

Here's a VPX conversion of Premier/Gottlieb's Strikes N' Spares table from 1995. (Not to be confused with Bally's "Strikes and Spares" from 1978).

I saw a picture of a real table online and thought it looked cool. When I tried to find a VPX version online, I hit a dead end. There appears to have been one at some point, but it was probably lost in the VPinball shutdown. However, I did find mfuegemann's VP9 version, so I decided to try converting that to VPX. It's far from perfect, but it was a fun challenge and I wanted to share the end result.

Huge thanks to mfuegemann and zany for their work on the VP9 version and mfuegemann's permission to post my conversion. There's no way I could've made this table without their prior work - especially zany's 3D models and mfuegemann's playfield redraw.

I've included an NVRAM file and some tips to fix common issues in the download zip. Please be sure to consult that before posting in the support thread because you might be able to answer your own question. There's also a Tarcisio style wheel in there.

Like most VPX tables, I haven't had the chance to play a real version of the table, so hopefully, I got the game working correctly. I'm sure it could also look even better if someone improved my lighting, etc. PLEASE get in touch if you're interested in modding the table. I want to make sure we're on the same page concerning a few things.

    Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

  23. Sir Lancelot (Peyper 1994) 1.1

The 1994 table "Sir Lancelot" by Spanish vendor Peyper was originaly released by @mfuegemann for VP9 and then by @Goldchicco and 32assassin for VPX over at VPF; all credits go to them.
I have upscaled the graphics using AI for a better resolution and sharper graphics.

Here are the original release notes:

  24. Saint Seiya 4k - I Cavalieri dello Zodiaco 4K - Fullscreen Cabinet Version

Finally Fullscreen Version is ready! Backglass is included.

I already uploaded desktop version and B2s too.
Now this is a Fullscreen Version with DMD on top of the table.

I hope you like it, greetings to the great community.

    Instructions:
the table is composed of 12 battles plus the final one.

-Select the battle from the target.
-Enter the temple to start the battle against the golden knight.
-Follow the lights to complete the battle.
Every battle has different targets to be won.

  25. SOTN (Mephisto MOD)

This is my first completed table mod. I am just getting started with VPX and virtual pinball.

This is tribute to one of my favorite video games of all time. Castlevania: Symphony of the Night (SOTN). Originally released on Playstation 1. Filled with lots of the original sounds and artwork from SOTN.

I based this on JPSalas's amazing Mephisto table. Thanks JP for permission to mod this super fun table.

I made many little design changes and a complete reskin. Some adjustments to the rules and added features. Be sure to hit the double-jump skillshot in the plunger lane for a little bonus at the start of each ball! The ruleset is pretty easy to understand. Mostly just look for blinking lights to identify your next target!

I worked hard to iron out any bugs but I'm sure there are still some in there. Please let me know if you find anything that doesn't work properly.

    Enjoy!
