You Feeling Lucky Punk?

Dirty Harry has been "cleaned" up a bit for the latest VPX gameplay updates.

Improvements:
Scripting/Visual/Physics
* nFozzy physics / sling corrections
* Fleep mechanical and ramp sounds (SSF)
* Dynamic Ball Shadows (thanks Wylte)
* Drop Target Bouncers
* Flupper Domes
* Basic lighting changes to add more contrast / warmer feel.

Gameplay Improvements:
* Ball would often drop SDTM off the right wall if not flipped with the upper flipper. Fixed.
* Right upper flipper was literally hidden from view from a material setting. Fixed.

Quick History:
The most recent version of Dirty Harry VPX was version 2.0 that was created / scripted by Knorr with many enhancements since 2016 with Flupper assisting on ramps a killer shiny gun mod that matches the theme of the more shiny flippers and bumper surfaces.

So, about a month ago (on VPChat discord), ashleyb asked if anyone would want to "freshen up" Dirty Harry as they felt like it needed some gameplay updates... I chimed in and said I'd look into it. It was originally a Knorr project and Flupper did some of the most recent work making a killer shiny gun mod. Flupper was good with updating it so off to the races.

Commendations:
Thanks to the original Williams team listed in the IPDB link for another one of their '90s pins that stand the test of time.

Thanks to the original authors, Knorr and Flupper for a very solid recreation of the Dirty Harry VPX table from previous versions of Visual Pinball.

Thanks to the VPW team and ashleyb for advice, opinions and testing.

Disco Fever (Williams 1979)

Time to put on Saturday Night fever and light up the glitter ball, I introduce to you Disco Fever.

This is my first attempt at a SS table from the ground up.

I need to thank all from the community as there is a little piece of something from everyone to make this table. In particular, this table has the banana flippers flippers (selectable by magnasave) from Time Warp. The author of that table is Gilrock/bord/rothbauerw are ok with me publishing this table.

I had used the playfield images from IPDB so the table appears as a well worn table. If there is anyone that wants to re-draw or enhance any or all of the artwork, please feel free.
I have included the ROM as the one on vpforum had no sound.
Based on some feedback (and that I didn't realise that Wildman had produced an excellent b2s (thanks Rawd 🙂 )

Disney Encanto (Original 2022) (MOD) 1.0

This is my take on an Encanto mod assisted by my daughter for some of the images and sound.
Being able to do this is really getting her into pinball!

Big thank you to JP for letting me mod nitro ground shaker for this!!

Fully reskinned images, I moved the top kicker up a little in hopes of not getting a bumper kicker loop thing happening (but it still does a little), moved the left and right posts in the out lanes down a little for the kids, moved and redrew all the butterfly and flower lights, and added some 3D butterflies on the bumpers.

I did not add any text back on the table, maybe in V2.

This table is using an alias (Encanto,ngndshkr) so you will need to update that. Since it is the rom off/on in the scrip doesn't work, so F1 and turn off rom sound.... if you want to.
Music link in the text doc. Put Encanto music folder into the \Visual Pinball\Music.
In the music folder there is also the Surface Pressure video that I used for my full topper.

Disney Pixar Onward (Original 2021) Manbearpig 1.1

This is really for the kids of the players here. My kids love these reskinned tables and ask to play them all the time. Figured I would take a shot at doing one.
So this is my first full mod. I didn't realize how many others had used Skateball as a base until after I started. The one thing I did do is make this an alias so you can still play Skateball.

Update 12/31-
Watched the Scotty Wic YT videos and made a Guinevere van and a Quest Mix cassette 3D model.
Phenom also gave me the script to change tracks with the magna save buttons as well.

Mods-
I redid all the plastic image files and removed the jagged and wavy edges, so they have a smoother look.
I added a short wall behind the upper flipper because I kept losing balls up there during testing.
Altered a few trigger sounds.
Added music to the script (there is a Mega link in the text doc. I have never used Mega so not sure if there is a traffic limit).

Django Unchained Balutito MOD

For this tribute table to Tarantino's Film: Django UNchained, I used the magnificent Cactus Canyon table by TomTower and Ninuzzu as a base.

IMPORTANT You need PROC like for Cactus Canyon

Instructions:
Step 1:
Copy / paste the ROM without unzipping it into your vpinmame rom folder.

Step2:
To use this ROM you must create an alias of the Cactus Canyon cc_13 ROM.
You just need to add the following line, to the VPMAlias.txt file
cc_13D, cc_13
You will find the VPMAlias.txt file in the VPinMAME folder:
😄 \ Visual Pinball \ VPinMAME
(If it does not exist, it is a .txt file)

Step 3:
to get the DMD corresponding to Django Unchained table
you need to copy paste, the cc_13D folder provided in the altcolor DMD folder, into your altcolor folder.
You will find the altcolor file in your VPinMAME folder:
C:\Visual Pinball\VPinMAME
(If it doesn't exist create it)

Step 4:
Copy/ Paste Music mp3 in your music folder

Doctor Strange Pinball

Doctor Who (Bally 1992) VPW Mod

V-Pin Workshop are proud to present Doctor Who by Bally!
This is an update / mod to Sixtoe's VR version, which was a VR mod of Sliderpoint and Rothbauerw's 2020 version with help from Bord, Fleep, ClarkKent, Fuzzel, Knorr & Thalamus, which was based on oooPLAYER1ooo & Unclewilly's 2010 version.
Lots of small changes, but the most obvious are Rothbauerw updating it to the latest physics, Apophis adding primitive inserts, and numerous lighting changes by Sixtoe and Apophis.
Check the script for all the normal options,

If you get no sound, you're probably using the wrong (old) rom, use this;

Dolly Parton Music and Sound Mod

I got permission from JPSalas to modify his Dolly Parton table with some of her greatest hits. I also got rid of the rom sounds but it felt empty so I added some. Just add the "Dolly" folder to your music folder and enjoy. Right Magna cycles through songs and left stops music.

Structuring pinball around a game of dominos is interesting. Dominos are featured in the artwork, the scoring. The center of the playfield displays a winding path of 15 dominos — just below two roto-targets and a center target. If you can hit the kick-out holes, the top rollovers or the side targets (when lit) you advance lights along the path of dominos. If you can get to the last domino the SPECIALs will light.

There’s just something about Domino. An early Wedgehead from Gottlieb, IPDB (Internet Pinball Database) puts it thematically in the “Happiness” category, and that doesn’t seem misplaced. Frequently owners describe the table as evoking a more innocent time. (And we all love the young woman in the Wonder Bread dress.)

For EM (electro-mechanical) pinball tables, players on IPDB voted Domino into the top 100 — maybe the happy vibe of Domino is in fact infectious.

Hold left flipper (shift) before game start for options menu.

Doom Eternal

I present to you my first table: Doom Eternal.

Layout and ruleset are based on the 2018 Stern table "The Beatles". Sound effects and callouts are from the 2019 Stern table "Black Knight Sword of Rage".

A huge shoutout goes to jpsalas: thank you for your excellent tables! They were invaluable when learning the ins and outs of Visual Pinball X. Most of the code used in this table was borrowed from the jpsalas table Wrath of Olympus (the DMD and the highscore script to name a few).

It's a tough table for sure and I have plans on updating the code to make it a bit easier in the future. My tips are to go for the modes, that's where the big points lie! Finishing a mode lites the Super Jackpot, which can be very valuable, depending on how well you did in the mode.

Game Instructions:

DROP TARGETS:
- Increase bonus.
- Complete ALL Targets in a Bank to increase Bonus Multiplier when "X" is LIT.
- Complete ALL 3 Sets of Drop Targets to light EXTRA BALL and increase the Orbit value.

Shoot the Orbit Shots to spell D-O-O-M-S-L-A-Y-E-R. Shoot the Top Orbit to collect the Award.

DROP D-O-O-M in order for Bonus Points!

Spell E-T-E-R-N-A-L to qualify a Mode. Shoot the Top Orbit to Start Mode.
- Knee-Deep in the Dead: 2-Ball Multiball!
- The Shore of Hell: Shoot the Left and Right Orbit Shots.
- Inferno: Shoot Drop Targets.
- Hell On Earth: Shoot the Spinners!
- No Rest for the Living: Pop Bumpers Score Extra Points.
- Thy Flesh Consumed: Finish ALL 5 Modes for a 4-Ball Multiball!

Gun Targets increase the Spinner value.
Mystery Targets light the Mystery.

This is my first table released and there where a couple of problems that i fixed now. I decided to keep the DMD as it is now.

This is an original table, with everything included in the vpx file, and it doesn't need any external program to run. It can be run in desktop mode and in FS mode. This is a 5 ball game with on 1,3 and 5 million an extra ball. This table has no ball savers!

This table is based on Doraemon the animated series, which is very popular in Asia.

Features of this table :
Ramp bonus and sounds when shooting the ramps
Target bonus
target bank that has to be down before you can enter the slot machine.

It was my first table ever made so i expand every time i learn more. Thanks to JPsalas for helping me with the code and providing me tips and tricks.

Double-Up (Bally 1970)

This is a re-upload of my table from vpinball.com, if you have that version this is the same so no reason to re-download.

Bally's 1970 Double-Up, supposedly only 55 of these were produced. I got turned onto this table by a restoration going on at Pinside by Pecos (who also goes by Alan). I ended up deciding to take on my first playfield redraw in Illustrator with much help and advice from such characters as krugge99, hauntfreaks, bodydump, mfuegemann, and wrd1972 who was going through his first redraw as well and who's thread I hijacked Thanks All!
Pecos has been very helpful with additional photos, sound bites, and even a very nice written and video run through of the complete ruleset, I wish I had that much info for all my table builds. Be sure to check out his thread linked above (tells you how to play). He also provided some great feedback from a short gameplay video I provided him.
Hauntfreaks went above and beyond getting the backglass image from a low res dark image into something usable, getting the plastics cleaned up as well, and making me some nice primitives for these old school ball gate brackets. big thanks.
Enjoy, it's a fun but merciless table. Still things to tweak (always) and feedback is very welcome.
directb2s file is included hold down left flipper to access the options menu (thanks for the idea loserman76 and gnance)
FS settings in the table are for my cab which has the playfield in portrait mode, most of you will need to adjust the Backdrop settings.

Dr. Dude & His Excellent Ray (Bally 1990)

Welcome to my Dr. Dude refresh - version 3.0 for VP10.8. This table has undergone a tremendous amount of refinement with countless new visual details, all-new lighting, all-new physics, better sound effects additional table options. The table now uses a Primitive Playfield which allows for very realistic saucer (VUK) ball physics.

Shout-outs to Cyberpez, Rothbauerw, nfozzy, flupper, DJrobx, Bord, Apophis, Brad1X, TasyWasps, sixtoe, and leojreimroc for heavily contributing to this latest refresh. Can't thank you guys enough.
The table includes all of the tips and tricks I have learned over the years as well as many of the PROs in the community, and really looks and plays better than ever. Please refer to the script for additional credits and table options.

Big thanks to GTXJoe for allowing me to complete the table he started.

Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Reskin VPX table

@bombaj344 and @BurtMacklin Present to you a reskin MOD of the Elektra table originally made by 32assassin and francisco666 and later modded by @bigus1. Huge thanks to everyone that was involved in the original table creation.

@bombaj344 did amazing work on the artwork on this table to really show off Dr. Jekyll and Mr Hyde. @bombaj344 reached out to me for help with this table and to share it with the community.
I made some script adds for the sounds and created arts and B2S files. For example the ROM sounds of the original table will mute at table launch and will enable again for that rom after the table exit.
Thanks to @HiRez00 for his wonderful music scripts also that are used in this table.

Included in the zip is a 2 screen B2s, 3 screen B2S, Table, Music, FullDMD video, Topper video and wheel arts for your front end.
This is my first table upload and first to work with @bombaj344, I hope everyone enjoys!

Table was saved using VPX version 10.7.1.

Dracula (Stern 1979)

A classic Stern to brighten up your Halloween. This is a late Harry Williams design with all the hallmark fun and difficulty of a late 70s Stern.

Dragon (Gottlieb 1978)

re-up of old vpinball table, no changes. Note, this includes the db2s I originally did for this, blacksad has done an updated one with nicer image, located here on VPU.

This is the solid state version of Dragon, Gottlieb also made this an EM version. When JP recently released his Charlie's Angels table I updated my spreadsheet of Gottlieb system 1 tables (yes I have a spreadsheet) and realized there was only one left that had not been done in VPX, the 1978 Dragon. I decided it was time to make it. Looked high and low for good resources, and ended up settling for ok resources, table image from vpf, backglass image from ipdb. Both of them I did some doctoring to and then my buddy hauntfreaks did more. but still can only do so much with so-so starts, so this is decidedly NOT a "4k" build. I did find some decent plastics images, not great but decent, so those helped.

One thing I did do new for this table is an improved vari-target primitive and animation. All the ones I'd seen in the past have been just a slide back of an object that is just above the playfield level (transx for those in the know). what I did is took that primitive and extended it below the table to an approximate distance to where the real one has a pivot point. I then redid the scripting for it so the vari-target actually rotates around that pivot point like the real one (rotx).

Big thanks to hauntfreaks for cleaning up and color fixing images for the playfield and the included db2s. Also big thanks to the ever busy bord for doing his fancy gi shadow treatment, much more detail then what I usually do. Thanks guys!

This release wouldn't be possible without the following:

Popotte who provided the excellent redraws and permission for me to use his work from his FP release
Thalamus who provided the primitive I needed to finally be able to release this table (I've been sitting on it for a year in my "convert to VPX backlog")

Like all of my releases, hold down the left flipper for 3 seconds when not playing a game to set the options.
FYI - this game is a drain monster. Sometimes you'll get a great score and other times it just sucks.
ZIP includes a wheel image and the directB2S created using Popotte's backglass image from his FP release

This is for personal use only. DO NOT include this in any pre-packaged ZIP of tables for commercial/non-commercial products. You know who you are. Just enjoy what is provided for FREE instead of trying to earn a buck from our community's work.
Any mods, require permissions from ALL of the above folks listed as primary contributors for this table.
