  1. Simpsons Party: Color DMD (16 color)

    Hello all-
Having not found a 32 or 64 color version, I'm posting an older 16, as some color is better than none!    I stumbled across this in a forum post by CarnyPriest.  I think it's a sharkky creation.  I tested and it's working with simpprty rom.  Simply create "simpprty" folder inside altcolor folder, move both pin2dmd files there.  Turn on 'use external DMD (dll)" and 'Colorize DMD" using F1 when playing the table. Restart table.

    Enjoy!

If you've never used color DMDs, follow the youtube guide below for the initial files and setup!

  2. Star Trek LE: Color DMD (16 color)

    Hello all-
Having not found a 32 or 64 color version, I'm posting an older 16, as some color is better than none!    I stumbled across this in a forum post by CarnyPriest.  I think it's a sharkky creation.  I tested and it's working with st_161h/st_161hc rom, not sure if it works with the 162h version.  Simply create "st_161hc" folder inside altcolor folder, move the pin2dmd file there.  Move the new rom to your roms folder (VPinMAME\roms).  Edit your table script to use the st_161hc rom instead of the st_161h.  Turn on “use external DMD (dll)" and “Colorize DMD" using F1 when playing the table. Restart table.

    Enjoy!

    Hi all !

I'm very excited and pleased to share with you the first release of a serum colorization project !
As you might know, it's a new open source format for DMD colors than will be able to run on Virtual DMD and devices.

I would like to special thank @zedrummer who develop the file format and the tools to use it, @ebor @peskopat @KRAKEN who are the early birds like me working on the format and spending hours debugging and improving the tools with zedrummer !

To use serum files, you can have a look here :

  6. Super Mario Bros

Most of this coloring was redone from vpin dumps using the smb3 rom. I have no idea how this will behave on a real pin so I'm considering this a vpin realease only for smb3 rom which has been set to factory defaults (Freeplay or Credit mode). The color/palette logic/priority for Gottliebs(at least this one) doesn't follow any of the tutorials out there to a t so there was a lot of trial and error to make things work and color correctly. Im outta time from my holiday break so going to just release what I've got done for now. Enjoy!

    Colored using:
    Version 3 of the editor (12.27.2022 build). lucky1's dmd-extensions-with-pin2dmd(Dec 30th) Visual PinMAME 3.5 v0.91
Made one minor change.. forgot to add a palette change at the end of run for cover when the bomb explodes
    v0.90
    <<<Completed>>>
Pretty much everything that's not on the to do list but some of the highlights worth mentioning
-Gottlieb logo by Malenko (I added some shading to it)
-Castle Destroy Scenes by Lucxor  (I did have to trim them down a bit to play until the end)
-Touched up a lot of the existing redraws and added others.
    -Bonus Chance (slot machine)
    -Treasure collect scene
    -Luigi's Cave Count up scene

    <<<Things to do>>>
-Super Mario Ending Scenes (there are 2 separate ones)
-Video Mode (just left it as a pallet change for right now, as this one is gonna take a while)

    <<<Known problems>>>
-Super Mario initials attract screen scrolls a bit before getting colored(figured it'll work for now and spent my time elsewhere)
-Question block replacement scenes for Star and Shell not triggering occasionally (I've added soo many keyframes but still miss from time to time)
-A Little stutter on 1st column bonus chance selection (not sure if it's because of all the keyframe triggers or what)

  7. Safe Cracker

First of all big thanks to Jochen Nicklas (real pin) and the incredible WOB (vpin) for helping me
to get through this process by recording videos and dump files.
    A personal note:
I tried to colorize all we found within the last 4 weeks, spending around 200 hours of work. Possibly there are still hidden scenes that we were not able to catch yet within that period of time. Especcially the boardgame may hide some
stuff that we are not able to trigger by manual ball control to record the dump file. Also changes within the rom settings may cause attract mode changes that I amnot aware of yet. If you would like to support the project, it would be a big help to get dump files of uncolored scenes that you are able to spot.
As always I share my vpin files for free, but feel warmly invited to send a drink if you would like to support my work: https:www.paypal.me/mistamartin
    Instructions:
    1. Make sure you have Freezy´s 1.8x up and running correctly. Older versions are not supported, respectively they will have many issues.
    2. Extract the files to to your vpinmame/altcolor/sc_18 folder. If the folder does not exist, create it.
    3. If you use a real pin2dmd make sure you are running an up to date firmware.
    4. Make sure the game language is set to english.
    5. Activate the custom message to get back the dcs sound logo in attract mode.
    6. As always any personal custom message will cause color issues in attract mode.

Please do not share or upload somewhere else!
For real pin request please PM.
    Enjoy!

    Known issues:
    - shoot the cellar mode chasing guards not colorized
    - minor transition glitches
    - possible missing items color at choose award mode
    - possible issues at the end awards, since not catched all possibilities
    - possible missing rare scenes at the boardgame

  8. Scared Stiff (Midway 1996)

    Scared Stiff (Midway 1996)

    Game Rom Version: 1.5
    ROM: ss_15

A huge thanks to @Audiofreak who created and shared this dump. We will be adding more dumps to this very shortly.

This dump contains attract mode, many of the game modes triggered, high score entry, match scene and more.

The Pin2DMD Dump Project consists of Wob, Slippifishi and myself and aims to provide game dumps, videos and information to anyone and everyone willing to colour a game for Pin2DMD. We plan to cover every single game that has yet to be coloured. As you may be aware, the list of games without a colour file is pretty extensive so this will take some time. If you or someone you know wants to help submit dumps, start colouring a game or just have a Real or Virtual Pin that you can test other peoples projects, please contact myself or wob. We have a lot of things in the pipeline so if this release doesn't interest you, there will be much more to come.
You can find the full list here by scrolling to the bottom of the first post: Complete Pin2DMD Colour File List
