Honey (Williams 1971) - Loading
By cerebusk
Format: 1080p60
With this video, I think every 1971 pinball machine that is currently playable in VPX now has a full screen loading video available either at VPUniverse or through Popper's media search. Now onto 1972!
This video is made from the game's backglass plus some footage from a tutorial about how to create a honey dripping effect in Cinema 4D. I don't have access to that tool, so I just swiped the video of their final render, then matted and composited it into this video. The music is "Sugar Sugar" by The Archies.

Hi-Score Pool (Chicago Coin) - Loading

"Continuing the proud tradition of pinball table themes where women are playing pool and men are present mainly to stare at the women." - This game's marketing slogan, probably.
This video is made from the game's backglass. The music is "She's Not Just Another Woman," a track from 1971 by The 8th Day.

Roller Coaster (Gottlieb 1971) - Loading
By cerebusk
Format: 1080p60
Ah, the 1970s, when seatbelts were optional and you didn't even have to keep your hands inside the ride at all times. That guy in the back is the happiest guy I've ever seen who is (probably) falling to his death.
This video is made from the game's backglass. The music is "Roller Coaster" by Blood, Sweat and Tears.

Star Trek (Gottlieb 1971) - Loading
By cerebusk
Format: 1080p
This video is a clone of the one I made for "Astro." Even though there is no actual tie to the Star Trek TV series, I picked a disco version of the Star Trek (TOS) theme song to use as the music. It really fits the vibe.

Yukon (Williams 1971) - Loading
By cerebusk
Format: 1080p60
This video is made from the game's logo and stock footage. The music is "Yukon" by Suzanne Ciani, whom you may recognize as the composer and voice of "Xenon." This video has a very different vibe than the one I did for the related table "Klondike," but it's nice.

Klondike (Williams 1971) - Loading
By cerebusk
Format: 1080p60
This video is made from the game's logo and some stock footage. The music is "When It's Springtime in Alaska, It's 40 Below" by Johnny Horton. I know Klondike isn't in Alaska, but it's Alaska adjacent, and there weren't that many good songs to pick from. 😀
