    This video is built from the game's backglass.  The audio is a combination of samples from the game ("Lights...Camera...Action!" and the gunshot) plus some stock audio and then a famous clip from the movie "Dirty Harry".  I put the audio clips from the game through some sound processing to make them sound less mechanical and it really made the director's voice sound a lot different.  
     
    This game's theme is meant to evoke the filming of a Dirty Harry movie of which the final sequel, "Dead Pool", had been released the previous year.  Obviously, they couldn't use Clint Eastwood's likeness without getting sued, but the setting is definitely San Francisco and it features a cop shooting at bad guys in the middle of a crowd, so it's definitely Dirty Harry.  I tried to find a clip to use from "Dead Pool," and I even sat through that terrible movie looking for something, but I came up empty.  Honestly, the only redeeming feature of that movie is that you get to see Jim Carrey get murdered.  I don't have anything against him, but it was fun to see him get eliminated in the first reel.
     
    I also briefly considered using something from the movie "Cop" which also came out in 1988.  That movie stars James Woods and I think the cop character on the backglass actually looks a bit more like him than Clint Eastwood.

    This video is made from the game's backglass.  The music is the theme for the 1964 Olympics in Japan as used by the BBC.  This was the earliest Olympics that I could find that had its own theme, but I guess this was probably the one that was on the minds of the designers in 1962.

    Ah, yes, 1987.  The heyday of Formula 1 as bloodsport, when cars were equipped with heavy machine guns to take out the competition.
     
    You know, I had never noticed until I started working on this video that the machine guns were part of the table's theme.  It doesn't really have any effect on the game play, as far as I can tell.  But even if the guns are inconsequential, I've been looking for an excuse to learn how to use DaVinci Resolve's motion tracking capabilities, though, so this seemed like a good time to do so.
     
    This video is made from the game's logo taken from the backglass and 1987 footage of Ayrton Senna  doing a practice lap in Monaco with an on board camera.   There is a gap in the footage just before the point where this video starts, so there isn't a lot of time to establish what's going on before the gunfire.  I used DaVinci's built-in motion tracking to make the explosion follow the path of the car.  I was very impressed with how easy this was to do, even with less-than-ideal footage.  I only had to make one small manual edit to the path.  I was also fortunate that the confines of the 9x16 screen ratio allowed me  to make sure the explosion was off screen before it got too weird-looking.  The music and the voice sample are taken from the game.  The machine gun and explosion sound effects are stock audio.
