    this is a heavy mod of Blacksad's Pinbot, with altered BG images, lighting and full dmd
     
    ATTENTION: AndyMcDandy has found if your using PinballX, you must say "NO" to the setting under "Display Settings" to auto position the B2S.... again set to NO.... 
    if your having an issue getting your 3 screens setup, ...please use this tool.... works perfect, easy to use!!  (i'm looking into issues some users are having)

    This special VIDEO backglass was made specifically for Siggi's Pirates of the Caribbean VPX table mod.

    He (Siggi) did an amazing job on this graphics mod (a serious improvement over the original) and I decided to do something special for him and fellow cab owners.

    The original tables backglass was a single fluorescent light that just illuminated the backglass translite. What I wanted to do with this VIDEO backglass was not possible with a b2s file (rain and lightning) without either a huge file size or the risk of slowing down the tables gameplay.

    That's why I opted to make a 1920x1080 HD VIDEO version that continuously loops, instead.

    I used an iconic image / scene that was recreated from the original Disneyland ride and was also used for the advanced movie poster for the 1st movie.

    Topper Images, Wheels, and Table Audio is included as well.

    Table Audio is a thunderstorm and rain audio track and does not include any copyrighted music.

    HOW TO USE VIA PINBALLX :
    - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

    1.) Make sure you name / rename the VPX table a completely different name than any other version of the table you may have. So instead of naming the table Pirates of the Caribbean (Stern 2006).vpx - name the table POTC (Stern 2006).vpx. This will prevent VPX from trying to "match" the b2s file to the table when it loads. You should NOT rename any pirates b2s to that file name. It should load without any backglass present because there is no backglass named that special name.

    2.) Load PinballX's game manager and select "Add New" table. Use the manager to add the POTC (Stern 2006) table as the table name. You can set the Description to whatever you want ... Using the pulldown menu, and select Backglass - and load the backglass .MP4 file. Load the other stuff if you want at this time, i.e.: Table Audio, Wheel Image, Topper, etc.

    3.) IMPORTANT: Directly under the Table name and Description for this table in PinballX, there is a row of check boxes. Make sure "Hide Backglass" is UNCHECKED. This will keep the backglass video running when load the table through PinballX and keep it on the screen looping while you are playing the table.

    4.) Load PinballX, scroll through to this particular table, and go ahead and load it ... and go PLAY pinball!

    That's it!

    Similar styled front ends can use "basically" the same process.

    This is a working four-player version with fantasy lighting effects and cabinet side art on the dmd. I have included my original side artwork file as well.
     
    This is for use with the solid state version of Pinball (Stern 1977) from ARMYAVIATION - see link below. 
    In order to make Players 3 & 4 active, you will have to add at line 1103 of the table script (thanks Inkochnito);
     
    .AddChk 2,250,120,Array("4 player games",&H01000000)'dip 25
     
    I have included a text file as well for the table script if you prefer to copy the contents and overwrite it in the VPX editor.
     
    The reason for this is to add the #25 dip switch to the table options.  Stern Electronics made a few 4-player games that has a switch setting to convert the game to 2-player operation. This is accomplished by setting CPU Switch 25 to its OFF position. You will need to set this switch to its on position for 4 player. (Other tables are Stingray (1977) and Stars (1978), possibly Memory Lane (1978)). 
     
    Once the script is changed, you will need to start the table and press F6 to launch the option menu. There will be a check box for enabling 4 player operation.  Tick this box and exit.

    directb2s backglass for the 1981 Gottlieb table.
    It is intended to be as authentic as possible, based on many photos of the illuminated backglass I was able to find.
    Included are two versions, one with the usual 1280 x 1024 resolution, the other using a 1600 x 1275 high resolution image from Grizz.
    The image for the lower resolution version is taken from the UVP backglass by luvthatapex/Flying Dutchman.
    The high resolution backglass should look better on large monitors, although the image is a little cropped on the top and bottom, compared to the real backglass (and the regular resolution version). Still, this will not be very noticeable. Remove the 'highres' part from the file name if you want to use this version.

    With the release of cabinet mode in a reasonably working state on Pinball FX (2022) I pulled together a series of backglass images for your use.  I created a few for the new FX Tables, but mainly slightly modified the awesome template from Blahcade pinball and imported existing images out in the wild.  To many to actually mention, but thanks to all of the creators out there that put in the time for the work... Hope you find these useful.. They are in import order, just place in the Mods/Cabinet folder when setup.  ive play tested most of them (and strangely too much time spent on my little pony) but let me know if there are any errors and ill adjust.  Enjoy!
