  1. Jungle Life (Gottlieb 1972) (VR Room)

    Description:
    ***************
    The table is made by the great Jeff Whitehead (Loserman76).
    May he rest in peace. :-( I hope, there are pinballs where you are, Jeff.
    I would like to thank Jeff, for allowing me, to convert his tables to VR.

    Info
    It is a hybrid table. So you can play in VR, desktop or cabinet mode, but you need the external backglass.
    There is no need to change the script. A VR headset is automatically detected.

    I added the following things:
    VR room, artwork for cabinet, backbox and flyer, animations for buttons and plungers, LUT files (change with magnasave buttons).

    '*        Table build/scripted by Loserman76
    '*        Playfield/plastics redrawn by GNance
    '*        VR update by Rajo Joey

    Works in 10.7.2, but best to play in VPinball_GL 10.8: https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/actions/workflows/vpinball.yml

    ***********************************************
    These are quick conversions, as I don't like playing in complete darkness.
    If you want to do your own conversions, I wrote two tutorials for EM tables like Loserman76's and make templates of the tables, pictures and materials.
    Also there are some .psd files, to change the artwork in an easy way for example.
    In the template tables there are generic artwork for the cabinet and the backbox. Some people may be happy with that and don't need the real artwork.
    There is a short tutorial for people, who know the editor and a longer one for newbies. Both instructions are in English and German.

  2. Jungle Lord (Williams 1981) w VR Room

    Thank you to Tony the Wrench who originally did this table in 2016.  I was unable to reach him, however he indicated there is Full permission to mod without approval.  I wanted to do this table to complete the series of the Williams early 80's tables that had the double playfields and magna saves (Black Knight, Solar Fire, Pharaoh, and Jungle Lord).

    I also would like to thank the VPW team for testing and feedback (especially Wylte, BountyBob, Thalamus, Astronasty, bietekwiet, leojreimroc, smaug, and PinStratsDan!)! And... an additional Thank you to leojreimroc for assisting with the VR backglass lighting!

    Updates in Version 2.0 done by UnclePaulie.  Added VR, Desktop, and cab hybrid modes.  Updated physics, drop targets, flippers, dynamic shadows, and lots of other updates to the VPW standards.  Also added 3D inserts, updated lighting, the latest VPW physics, sounds, sling corrections and GI brightness and fading routines. Some other various fixes done. I also updated the desktop backglass as well as the VR backglass and other VR options. There are also some performance improvements, and  I added a playfield mesh for upper and lower playfields, so there's a realistic bevel in the saucers.  Significant changes were done overall, as the original table wasn't sized to the Williams era sizes.  That resulted in nearly changing everything, lights, walls, ramps, etc.

    There are several options in the script.  Including VR, ball brightness, and LUT lighting options.  Since this table heavily relies on the usage of the magnasave buttons, the LUT changes are done by holding cntl (or left mangasave) and then while holding, scroll through the options with the right magnasave.

    This is a hybrid table, and it will automatically choose between desktop and cabinet, however, if you are playing in VR, you MUST change VR_Room to 1 in the script.   Additional options in the script include two VR environments, a VR clock, and settings for dynamic shadows if you experience a performance hit.

    Thanks again to everyone that tested, provided feedback, and assisted!

  3. Jungle Princess (Gottlieb 1977)

    re-upload of table from vpinball, no changes.  This one is quite old and I have not tested it in newer vpx versions.

    Gottlieb's 1977 Jungle Princess, the 2 player version of Jungle Queen (4 player).
    Most of the graphics was given me by Starman from his vp9 Jungle Queen table.  Much of the play logic comes from him as well.
    thanks to hauntfreaks as usual for graphics, lighting, and primitive updates
    thanks to sliderpoint for play testing and bug catching (mostly by letting me play on his vp cab where I could actually see things, gotta get my fullsize done soon)

    like all my tables hold down left flipper before starting a game to bring up options menu.  This is the first one I've done with a freeplay option as well.

  4. Junk Yard (Williams 1996)

    Time to infiltrate Crazy Bob's at the Junk Yard and build the Jalopy!

    This mod includes the latest VPW enhancements to modernize the older Junk Yard version for physics, sound and playability.

    Enhancements:
    * nFozzy physics
    * Dynamic Ball Shadows
    * Fleep sounds / rolling / ramp
    * Flupper Domes
    * LUT selector
    * New playfield with better image quality
    * Lots of small tweaks to improve game play or aesthetics.
    * More detailed change log notes are in the script headers.

    Also, a huge improvement to the game play experience is dtatane's amazing alt color rendering of the Junk Yard DMD located at https://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/6943-junk-yard-64-colors

    Quick History:
    The only VPX version of Junk Yard was version 1.3 (last updated 10/12/16) with mfuegemann as the main author and help from Fuzzel, Dark and Hauntfreaks. There was also a SG1bsoN mod which was mostly lighting updates to an interesting color scheme.

    I gave v1.3 a quick flip and immediately realized it needed an update on the physics front. I would later realize it needed other updates as I learned more about the VPW example table packages, etc. The physics obviously jump out at you the fastest if they are using the older VPX defaults.

    So, back about 6 months ago, I reached out to apophis about trying to learn how to upgrade the physics and he helped me get started with the bord YouTube tutorials / documents, etc. Fast forward here and it has been a learning journey for me to understand how VPX works, how to code the upgrade packages from the Example table, etc.

    I really just wanted to see this table get better physics, aesthetics and gameplay as a general goal for the project with the intention of learning VPX along the way on something that needed a little TLC.

    Commendations:
    Thanks to all of the team at Williams listed on the IPDB link.

    Thanks to the original VPX authors: mfuegemann, Fuzzel, Dark and Hauntfreaks

    Thanks to apophis, bord, Wylte and Sixtoe for coding assistance and thanks to PinStratsDan, Smaug, FriscoPinball and the VPW team for testing.

  6. Junkyard Cats (Bailey 2012)

    Junkyard Cats created by Brendan Bailey 2012 (another masterpiece) in Future Pinball is now available on VPX.
    About Brendan
    Brendan Bailey buys, fixes, sells, appreciates, and designs pinball machines.
    His love of the art, music, and design of arcade games knows no bounds. He was exposed to Williams pinball machines of the late 80's and early 90's at age 3 and has forever been a big a fan of creativity featured throughout those games.
    The desire to create original pinball machines is what fueled Brendan's exploration into creativity. From (slowly) learning Photoshop to composing electronic music, Brendan owes all of the inspiration for his abilities to the work of the designers, artists, programmers, and musicians of late 80's Williams pinball. Brendan went on to study graphic and new media design at Hofstra University, a career path he never would have discovered had it not been for pinball.
    Junkyard Cats is 100% original - Brendan created everything you see, hear, and experience during the game - even the voices! He cannot thank Christopher Leathely enough for creating the Future Pinball platform with such incredible passion and attention to detail.
    Brendan lives on Long Island and works as the creative director for Generations Beyond, a digital design agency in Ronkonkoma, NY... and yes, they have pinball machines in the office!

    PD: I can not test the table properly, my PC work has a graphics card onboard and I reboot the system, I apologize
    for possible bugs.

  8. Jurassic Park (Data East 1993) VPW

    Welcome to Jurassic Park!

    Dark's original table rebuilt and brought into the toolkit era. Flux started this by getting the table ready for the blender toolkit, Sixtoe gutted and rebuilt the layout in VPX and we were on our way to Isla Nublar. Apophis roared into action with all the standard VPW bells and whistles and DaRdog added a deadly Mega VR Room. Many others helped make this another fantastic table so....How about another tour of the park?
