Altsound 2.0 - Ren and Stimpy Space Madness

Altsound 2.0 - Ren and Stimpy Space Madness

This is a very small altsound to supplement the existing pup (by@clairvius) and to add back a lot of the
missing sounds that work well with the table Ren and Stimpy Space Madness theme.

The original author removed virtually all of the table sounds since it was a reskin of Dr. Dude.
While that makes perfect sense, it also left the sounds for the table lacking. That's why I'm
releasing this supplemental altsound. The key to have the best possible experience is to balance the volume
between the pup and altsound. There are multiple ways to do that. Whatever works best for your setup.

There are a few extra steps on this install

1. Remove files from the pup pack "audio" folder. (I've already added these sounds to the altsound)

2. To use this altsound you need to re enable the rom sounds in the script.
Line 239 Sound to 1
Line 240 Samples to 1
(this re enables the script to play the rom sounds)

3. You will still need to enable the altsound = 1 in the pinmame menu like normal as well.

South Park (Sega 1999) AltSound

Here we go with another Altsound - this time for "South Park" by Sega/Stern (it's now under Stern's licencing as all Sega pinball licences were bought by Stern)
Songs used for the altsound -
"Jackin' it in San Diego!"
"Tegridy Farms" intro
"Simeltanious Lovin'" (From the Chef Aid CD)
"Hot Lava" (From the Chef Aid CD)
"Kyle's mom is a bitch!" (From South Park: Bigger, Better & Uncut)
"Mr Hankey, the Christmas Poo"
South Park intro (Instrumental)
South Park intro (Instrumental for Halloween)
"Kenny's Dead" (From the Chef Aid CD)

Few more I cannot remember what I used!
This uses the "sprk_103 rom. The reason why the chef aid songs sound a bit low, is because when I converted them to mono from stereo to use on the altsound, even when I used the "normalise" option and had it at volume level 6, it was mega loud and would irritate you from being able to enjoy them. This is the same for other songs i.e. Kyle's mom.

Elvis (STERN 2004) Altsound

I decided to create a Elvis Presley AltSound for the Stern Pinball table on VPX with the reasoning behind it was, that I absolutely HATED the fact that there was only several songs i.e. See See Rider, Hound Dog, Jailhouse Rock etc, so decided to replace the "live songs" with the original studio versions and included a few to take over from other places i.e. end of game o

So the tracks are as followed -
Jailhouse Rock
Heartbreak Hotel
All Shook Up
See See Rider (Also as a instrumental version for the ball launch)
Promised Land - This is played at the end of the game
(You're The) Devil in Disguise - Played when you start playing "ENCORE" mode (a four ball multiball for less than one minute, akin to Midnight Madness on other tables i.e. NBA etc)
Hound Dog
Blue Suede Shoes
Burning Love
Viva Las Vegas
The Wonder Of You
Suspicious Minds
I Just Can't Help Believin'

I am not sure where the other four - Viva Las Vegas, The Wonder of You, Suspicious Minds and I Just Can't Help Believin' are, I do know I replaced the same songs that were on the original soundboard for Elvis (Stern), so it has replaced songs like Jailhouse Rock, Hound Dog, Blue Suede Shoes and All Shook Up etc.

I have also taken the liberty of changing the numbers in the G-Sound altsound file and tried it, it works perfectly!

Flintstones Cartoon Altsound

Music, Classic Bedrock Style.

I have assembled an altsound for "The Flintstones" that replaces all of the music scores with ones from the classic cartoon series. Everything else remains the same, as changing it would confuse the gameplay.

I hope it is working properly. It really completes any cartoon version of this table. Please check it out and let me know what you think.

The Addams Family REMASTERED Altsound

The most "creepy & kooky" vpx table has gotten a lot of love over the years.
So, I thought I'd throw some more at it. I have replaced or remastered about 95% of the audio using movie clips and digital filters. Originally, I did this for my own satisfaction, but figured I would share it here as well. I hope you'll give it a try and enjoy it as much as I do. Cheers!

"Greetings to you, the lucky finder of this alternative audio for Mr. Willy WONKA!"

First, let me just say how much I appreciate the the hard work and thought that went into creating this table. Especially, the custom audio callouts for the table and PUP.
However, there may be some of you that would like to incorporate a bit more audio from the 1971 film. This download comes with three folders (table, PUP & Misc.). The replacement files have the same exact folder/file names to make for easy installation. Simply backup and overwrite.

The PUP audio is extensive and I was only able to replace so many files without being repetitive or irrelevant. The Misc. folder contains many unused clips for you to apply where you see fit. ENJOY!

This was an abandon project of mine, due to previous limitations with Altsound, I never got to finished until now.
Thanks to the g-sound format, I was able to fully complete this project,
and therefor a BIG thanks to all the people involved and behind the development and improvements to Altsound 2.0

- This sound package heavily alters the audio track
- Due to the new dark and gloomy atmosphere this audio pack adds to the table, content might not be suitable for children
- A lot of testing have been performed pre-release to ensure quality, maybe some minor tweaks might be necessary in the future, please comment if you encounter some unexpected issues.

Now, what is "Bride of SHODAN"...?
For anyone who has played the PC-game "System Shock", no further details or explanation is required, for anyone else, the premise is simple,
You, a security hacker trapped on a space station overtaken by SHODAN, the ships evil AI.

Sound samples added and replaced are a mixed of audio taken from the 1st. and 2scn. game. The OST-game-music track was replaced with, in my opinion,
more suitable dark-synth-electronic music-track.

If you want a more immersive and visual experience, a well known developer (FX) also released a similar themed table recently...

The original voices have been recreated as closely
as possible to maintain a realistic acoustic feel.

NOTE 1:
This Altsound works with table ROMs "rs_l6" and "rs_lx5". Just rename the folder of this Altsound
to the ROM you are using for this Table.

NOTE 2:
With this release I have added a small tool to easily change the SFX, MUSIC & VOCALS.
Its located in the Altsound folder of this Table and called "VolumeControl.exe".
Please note that the tool only works with my new altsounds and its not compatible with other
altsounds. I will release updates for my older ones in the future.
