Altsound 2.0 - Ren and Stimpy Space Madness This is a very small altsound to supplement the existing pup (by@clairvius) and to add back a lot of the missing sounds that work well with the table Ren and Stimpy Space Madness theme. The original author removed virtually all of the table sounds since it was a reskin of Dr. Dude. While that makes perfect sense, it also left the sounds for the table lacking. That's why I'm releasing this supplemental altsound. The key to have the best possible experience is to balance the volume between the pup and altsound. There are multiple ways to do that. Whatever works best for your setup. There are a few extra steps on this install 1. Remove files from the pup pack "audio" folder. (I've already added these sounds to the altsound) 2. To use this altsound you need to re enable the rom sounds in the script. Line 239 Sound to 1 Line 240 Samples to 1 (this re enables the script to play the rom sounds) 3. You will still need to enable the altsound = 1 in the pinmame menu like normal as well. As always please report any issues in the COMMENTS section. If you don't get a response the answer is here in the write up. -

Table waiting on permission from tasty wasps. if running Phantom of the Opera pup pack you need to make a few changes. Alt sound add a to end. poto_a32a. set up an alias as poto_a32a,poto_a32. This is an altsound in G-Sound format for Alien Star (Gottlieb 1984). I tried to tastefully do it without "overdoing it". Hopefully, you will enjoy. I feel like the game play sounds of targets, bumpers, and slings match the game and also some pretty dramatic endgame sounds that are pretty cool. @DarthVito said "I love the sfx you have when the ball loads up after a drain, very very cool. Almost don’t mind draining lol! " Hehe, I take that as a compliment and actually feel the same way. Cheers man! This has ended up being a culmination of original (pseudo stereo processed), replaced, and supplemented sounds that seem to go really good with this table. Please make sure you read the latest versions release notes nad update your VpinMame to a version that supports Gottlieb System 80A altsound processing. ***NOW FIXED*** see v4 release notes. Please note that some roms (like this one) appear to have a clocking pattern of sound calls that seem to get in the way of sound playback. You will probably experience some sounds not registering from time to time or even the background sounds not appearing at first, but them come in on the 2nd ball. 90% of the time it's all good though and some of the intermittent sounds missed aren't really that bad. I talked to @MrGrynch about this and hopefully one day there will be a modification to the altsound processing to drop these unnecessary calls. This rom in particular sends out a flood of calls to 0x000. When this happens, hopefully these sounds drops will stop. For now, this is what we have and I do hope you enjoy. Be on the lookout for @UnclePaulie's release of Alien Star and @hauntfreaks backglass. It's a fun table and where at all possible, I want to give @BorgDog much thanks for providing the graphic assets! This table would not have been possible if he didn't give permission to redo it and hand off his graphics like he did. Thank you kind sir! This mashup is something I threw together while working on the Playboy altsound. Kind of a "what if Elvira and the Party Monsters crashed the party at Playboy Mansion" sort of thing. To be clear, this release is NOT a table mod, it's an altsound. The preview is essentially the Stern Playboy table, but with a few images of Elvira swapped in for the demo. The images used are included with the altsound. The folder is playboys, but if you want to try the altsound without affecting the original game, I suggest the following: 1. Rename the folder to elvirapb 2. Add this to VPMAlias.txt: elvirapb,playboys 3. Make a copy of the VPX table and open the table script. This is my first attempt on a sound mod, don't hesitate to provide feedback to help me improve. I love this table but I think the 8-16 bit like music style is horrible here ! So i try to add some "epic feeling" in this table it's an Altsound, maybe if i have the motivation, i'll update to Gsound I don't have touched Voices and callout, only the music (and maybe one or two other things) Installation Notes: extract in your Altsound folder and set Altsound mode to 1 in Vpinmame table menu (F1). Included in the download, you'll find a convenient .CSV file and a .ini file. Works with batmanf501 modified rom (should also work with batmanf, but i haven't tested yet)- 4 comments

Peace Y'all, "A throneless King" Unzip and place the krull folder in your pup folder. Place the altsound (krull) folder in your altsound. This Mini-Pup Pack is defaulted for a 3 screen setup with the Pup on the DMD. This pup works with Flex-DMD, so you'll need it to move the score around. This is next in my collection of Mini-Pups. These are designed for the 3rd (DMD Screen) of a cabinet setup. These will be on older tables (mainly EM tables and early Solid State). You can switch the screens around in the editor if you don't have a third screen or if you want to use the DMD as a backglass. The Pup on the backglass is not the intended purpose but works just fine (I tried it). This is one of my favorite tables from the early solid state era. Absolutely my favorite 3 level table. It's quickly becoming one of my favorite all-around tables. The movie was ok for it's time. I like my cut of the movie better. 😁 This will give life to your third screen if you have a 3 screen setup. Desktop users will enjoy this also if you know how to set this up. My game has gotten better with the mini-pup installed. It certainly adds all kinds of bling to this table if you're into that kind of thing. Combine this with your favorite B2s and you should be good to go. Gottlieb has had some awful music in their tables so I've gone ahead and included an altsound file. It makes the sound much more palatable. I learned a lot making this mini-pup and it really adds to the pinball experience. I hope you can appreciate the level of detail that went into this. I will make upgrades to all my Pup Packs when necessary and as my understanding of this craft increases. Otherwise....... Enjoy! This is my first attempt at a sound mod, so please provide whatever feedback you have to help me improve. I have little experience in sound editing and am equipped with 62-year-old ears. Even so, I like the results and hope that you will too! I love the @LoadedWeapon cabinet mod for this table, but I found the rom sounds too 8-bit for my tastes. My sound mod contains around 60 new samples direct from the motion picture or its soundtrack by the incomparable John Williams. All new and existing samples have been normalized. There are still a few music tracks that I haven't replaced, but the main ones are here. I particularly want to thank @iDigStuff and @MrGrynch for their work on the altsound improvements and g-sound format. iDigStuff also produced some very informative videos. His standard installation notes are included below. Thanks also to @lucky1 for his altsound editor (available on this website). The project was originally done in altsound format, but once it neared completion, I knew that it had to be converted to g-sound. I truly believe that just converting it made things work much better. Anyone is free to modify this work as they see fit providing they acknowlege this or subsequent versions by me as the basis for their work. Glad to bring you my second g-sound project. This one has been in the works for quite a while. Sega tables have been tricky to decipher the way the MPU handles sound calls but I think I've finally figured it out. I try to recreate the original faithfully however if you find an issue please let me know in the comments. What does OST Remastered mean? Original Soundtrack remastered means I used the original source of the dialogue and soundtrack then edited to match the sound design of the original table as best I could. I know there's a few caddyshack Altsounds already, but I thought I'd make my own. This is based upon using most of the songs from the soundtrack. The only one that was not used was "Lead the Way", but songs that are used are - 1) "I'm Alright" - Kenny Loggins 2) "Boogie Wonderland" - Earth, Wind & Fire 3) "Divine Intervention" 4) "Something on Your Mind" (Instrumental) - Hilly Michaels 5) "Make the Move" - Kenny Loggins 6) "Marina" 7) "Mr. Night" - Kenny Loggins 08) "The Big Bang" 9) "There She Goes!" 10) "Any Way You Want It" - Journey Included is two sections of quotes from Bill Murray and Rodney Dangerfield (HOWEVER, only Bill Murrays bit is on the shooter section as Rodney's is the ball drain theme and it made it even more funnier as it plays his characters car horn when you drain the ball!) as well as the Chicken Dance, however, I have sped it up 2x-4x in the "2, 3 and 4" music. Edit: Some reason as a few people on here and on the facebook group I am in (hey guys! XD), have said that the music is quite low, so apologies for that. -

This is an altsound conversion of the amazing pinsound package by Julian42 featuring The Who's Tommy OST, and enhanced sounds. Does not required pinsound studio to play Instructions: unzip tomy_400 folder with files into vPinMAME/altsound folder (create the folder if you haven't already), start table, hit F1, and change alt sound mode to 1. Exit table and restart. Tip from AnTiBoDy: for the VPWorkshop version, rename the altsound directory from tomy_400 to tomy_500 Changes from original pinsound package: adjusted timing of Christmas to match start of lightshow, adjusted start of ball 3 song Issues: End of game song plays to completion over any new game. Altsound 2.0 - The Sopranos (Stern 2005) Original | Normalized and Cleaned IMPORTANT: You must have RomSounds = 1 in the top of the script AND have Altsound enabled in VPinmame menu. This is not the default setting currently on The Sopranos table. Otherwise you are not hearing the Altsound. As the title says this version is a cleaned and normalized version of the original ROM sounds for Sterns Sopranos. The original rom sounds were very distorted and made the game basically unplayable. Now with TastyWasps update to the table and this Altsound fixing the peak distortion and clicks, the table should be much more enjoyable. I'm currently working on a completely new Altsound/G-Sound for this table as well. I thought it might be nice for everyone to have this version in the mean time. All future updates will be available through this post. Previous versions will stay up. -

Let's try to put a little more "FUN" in Funhouse This has always been one of my favorite tables. But let's face it, the sound has always been pretty messy. I have done my best to clean up good old Rudy's callouts and table sounds, but don't expect miracles. Short of getting the original recordings, hiring a voice actor, this is it. Also included is a brand new version with "text to speech" callouts. I tried to get as close to the originals as possible. I am very pleased with the results. I hope you like it.
