altsound Batman forever Alt sound
By Gruntk
This is my first attempt on a sound mod, don't hesitate to provide feedback to help me improve.
I love this table but I think the 8-16 bit like music style is horrible here !
So i try to add some "epic feeling" in this table
it's an Altsound, maybe if i have the motivation, i'll update to Gsound
I don't have touched Voices and callout, only the music (and maybe one or two other things)
Installation Notes:
extract in your Altsound folder and set Altsound mode to 1 in Vpinmame table menu (F1).
Included in the download, you'll find a convenient .CSV file and a .ini file.
Works with batmanf501 modified rom (should also work with batmanf, but i haven't tested yet)

Viper Night Drivin (SEGA 1998) German Altsound - Pinballpunks
By Blahblah
Altsound with german translated vocals for Viper Night Drivin'.
IMPORTANT NOTE ABOUT THE TABLE (Viper Night Drivin' (Sega 1998) 1.0d).
The Viper Night Drivin' table from Goldchicco, 32assassin and Andrei Miraklov does have a bug (since VPX version 10.7+), which can make the table unplayable due to “light glare”.
Since there is no official update/fix for this bug yet, I have a fix for you.
Replace the code blocks between line 284 to 314 in the table script with the following working code:
Sub GITimer_Timer() If Not GITimer.Enabled Then GITimer.Enabled = True ' Erhöhe / verringere GIStep je nach GIDir GIStep = GIStep + GIDir ' 1) GIStep begrenzen (nur 0 bis 2) If GIStep < 0 Then GIStep = 0 If GIStep > 2 Then GIStep = 2 Debug.Print GIStep SetShadowOpacityAndGIOverhead SetGIIllumination SetGIIlluminationInv Set3DModels SetMaterials SetRamps ' GI on/off nur in Schritten 0–2 => Timer stoppen wenn am Ende If (GIDir = 1 And GIStep = 2) Or (GIDir = -1 And GIStep = 0) Then GITimer.Enabled = False End If End Sub Sub SetShadowOpacityAndGIOverhead() fGIOn.Opacity = (ShadowOpacityGIOn / 2) * GIStep fGIOn.IntensityScale = (GIStep / 2) fGIUV.Opacity = (ShadowOpacityUVOn / 2) * (2 - GIStep) fGIUV.IntensityScale = (2 - GIStep) GIOverhead.IntensityScale = GIStep / 2 End Sub

Austin Powers (Stern 2001) Spanish Altsound
By Darkangel60
The second Austin Powers movie was a hit in Spain, mainly because of the voice actor (Florentino Fernandez) who voiced Dr. Evil, Fat Bastard and Austin Powers himself. Obviously, playing this table with the callouts in English is not so much fun for Spanish speakers, so I have made this altsound pack with the voices from the spanish movies.
The original rom has voices from the first two Austin Powers movies, but Florentino did not dub the first movie, so I have replaced the english phrases from the first movie with spanish phrases from the second/third movies.

g-sound Star Wars Trilogy (Sega 1997) G-Sound
By buffdriver
This is my first attempt at a sound mod, so please provide whatever feedback you have to help me improve. I have little experience in sound editing and am equipped with 62-year-old ears. Even so, I like the results and hope that you will too!
I love the @LoadedWeapon cabinet mod for this table, but I found the rom sounds too 8-bit for my tastes. My sound mod contains around 60 new samples direct from the motion picture or its soundtrack by the incomparable John Williams. All new and existing samples have been normalized. There are still a few music tracks that I haven't replaced, but the main ones are here.
I particularly want to thank @iDigStuff and @MrGrynch for their work on the altsound improvements and g-sound format. iDigStuff also produced some very informative videos. His standard installation notes are included below. Thanks also to @lucky1 for his altsound editor (available on this website).
The project was originally done in altsound format, but once it neared completion, I knew that it had to be converted to g-sound. I truly believe that just converting it made things work much better.
Anyone is free to modify this work as they see fit providing they acknowlege this or subsequent versions by me as the basis for their work.
Installation Notes:
Place the download in your Altsound folder and set Altsound mode to 1 in Vpinmame table menu (F1).
Included in the download, you'll find a convenient .CSV file, just like before, and now, a separate .ini file.
No need to touch the included .ini file. Everything is set. The .ini is for authors and troubleshooting.

Funhouse Classic Fairground Organ Edition!
By Mopple
Finally it is done! Here is my version of "Funhouse", which always needed (at least in my mind) a vintage musical accompaniment rooted in the grand old fairground organ tradition as opposed to the rather bland and doodling original music score (albeit it boasts a catchy main theme!).
I've always loved those big and impressive fairground and carnival organs with all their pipes, bells, drums and whistles, and I could sit in front of them and listen for hours to the great songs of yesteryear, 19th and early 20th century melodies that will never lose their charm.
So I dug deep in my musical memory and came up with quite a number of old songs and melodies that most of you will probably know - and hopefully find suitable for the carnival / sideshow theme of "Funhouse".
I chose the best versions of said songs from my collection (most of them VERY old recordings!), carefully edited them, even digitally correcting the occasional wrong note.
Here are the melodies I used:
Multiball Restart: "Entrance of the Gladiators"
End Mode: "Give my Regards to Broadway"
Before Multiball: "The Ice Skater"
Midnight: "The Blue Danube"
Lock 11:45: "Battle Hymn of the Republic"
Main Theme: "Over the Waves"
Frenzy: "The Merry-Go-Round Broke Down"
Rudy Sleeping: "Meet me in St. Louis, Louie"
Quick Multiball: "San Francisco"
Before launching ball: "You're a Grand Old Flag"
Funhouse Theme: "It's a long way to Tipperary"
Left launch ball: "Take me out to the ball game"
11:45 Theme: "Music, Music, Music"
Jackpot Highscore Theme: "Dixie"
Superdog: "Ta Ra Ra Boom Dee Ay"
Regarding Rudy's lines and callouts, I decided to use speech AI to completely redo all of it so now Rudy sounds maybe a little more like a Pennywise impersonator… J For the sound effects, like the explosions and his yawns, I could use free high-def effects. What I couldn't reproduce was his frenzied laughing and also the cryptic "Zooooom!" callout - wherever that one ever appears in the game.
Some of his lines I left untouched, but for many I took the liberty of giving him new words, including a number of movie quotes which IMHO fit his sideshow character (I hope you like them and of course you'll find out where they're all from). 🙂
What really remains a mystery to me is one line Rudy says after a really good game with a very high score: "Way to go!" - which I cannot find in the list of audio tracks in the folder! Where is this line stored?!
As a Virtual (and real!) pinball fan for decades, I just wanted to try the altsound possibilities once, and I thought "Funhouse" would fit like a glove. What really gave me a little headache was to balance the volumes of the music versus Rudy's speech. I did the best I could, I wouldn't call it perfect but I want to offer it to you. Call it an experiment, if you will, here's my take on Rudy. I hope you'll enjoy it!
