  1. Elvis (Stern 2004) Media Pack

Much of this work is buried deep on the PinballX FTP. This is just bringing it together in one place. The card itself is available at Inkochnito's. I did re-trace the card, replaced the Elvis license logo with a higher res version that I traced to vector.  Assembled and vectorized in Illustrator. This pack also includes the factory shotmaps, images extracted using xpdfbin, converted to vector using InkScape and Illustrator, and exported into Flash containers. Coinage card included (US currency). This required redrawing and replacing the original button graphics found on the PDF.
The Elvis licensed product logo found at brand-licensing.com. I traced to vector in Illustrator. I used this to create an ultra hi-rez wheel image.

    Special thanks to Inkochnito.

  4. Terminator 2 Help Card Rules - LTek

This is more complete and more detailed than any of the others I've seen posted. I tried to make it visually easy to see, and still have more usable information than others.

Used full rule set as the main resource... http://www.pinball.org/rules/terminator2.html

  8. TKO (Gottlieb 1979) pinball flyer

Totally imaginary fan made flyer for Gottlieb's final wedgehead, 1979 T.K.O.!
No factory flyer was ever made since only about 125 machines were made
It took 35 layers of objects to create this flyer from bits and pieces of artwork scoured from the interwebs.
Useful for frontends Like the Launchbox I use as well as many others.
    Hope ya like it!

  11. Popper Media Saver - Bat File

I wrote this bat script to help me, maybe it will help someone else.

You'll have to open it up and edit the source directories, to match where you have Popper installed.

What this does, is it will copy the media files - of your selected table - to that directory (provided the directory matches your table name).

Why would you want this?  Chances are, you probably don't!

...unless you organise your backups in the same way I do - table by table.

In my backup directory - I have a folder for each table.  Inside that folder, I keep everything related to that table, such as backglasses, different table authors, media, pup backs, etc.

Thing is, I don't download all my media from VPU - sometimes (particularly in the beginning) I used Popper's media selection tool.  This directly put the frontend media into popper.

I curate things a bit differently now, but some of the media via popper is pretty cool.  To ensure I have a local copy, I move the bat file into the relevant directory and then double click it.  It'll copy the media (if it exists) into that directory (renaming as necessary).  Boom, now I have a local copy for my backup.

Why don't I just backup the Popper Media directory?  Well, I could and probably should - but then it wouldn't be done table by table, which is how I like it.  As I said, you probably don't need/want this - but if you do, here it is!

Example: Move the bat file to a folder "24 (Stern 2009)" Run the bat file It will then go to your popper media and copy over all files that start with "24 (Stern 2009)" These media files will be copied to 24 (Stern 2009)\Media - any duplicate names will be renamed. The bat file will delete itself when the action is done.
You'll note, when you look at the bat file, I'm not copying playfield or backglass.  You can add those, if you want.  For me, I don't need them because I just use popper's auto recorder to generate those.

Please be aware that this version will self destruct.  That's because each time I create a table directory, a "template" of directories and files are copied over and this is one of them.  I don't need the bat file in there after it runs, so it deletes itself.

  14. Star Trek (Stern 2013) Media Pack

Includes a reproduction of the English language factory card. Also includes coinage cards, US currency only. Type and layout produced with Adobe InDesign. Image clean-up for the QR code and the Enterprise illustration used GIMP. Assembly, vectorization, and colorization to simulate print out on Solar Yellow stock in Adobe Illustrator. Also includes shotmaps extracted from the factory PDFs and dumped into a Flash container.
Horizon font by Bitstream, available at FontsMarket.com. I used this font with some skew in InDesign to create the title and added some effects in Illustrator to create a vector-based ultra high-rez wheel image.
Starfleet insignia silhouette was traced in Illustrator using a hi-rez image of a prop reproduction that is sold by away-mission.com
Klingon empire logo is from Wikipedia and modified in Illustrator.
Stern card template comes from earlier work.
Flyers - raw image extracted directly from the brochures published at sternpinball.com using xpdfbin and converted to lossless PNG using ImageMagick. I've also included the Jpeg flyer and promo images available at IPDB.org. The flyers at IPDB appears to be higher resolution than what I'm able to get from the PDFs at the Stern website.
Special thanks to to Rocky Mountain Pinball and J.M. Artés at veopixeles.com for reference images.
I also took my own pictures at Pinballz, a great local arcade with the largest pinball collection in Texas. I used my own photos for images of the QR code and the Enterprise.
Once again, thanks to Inkochnito for hosting the factory shotmaps.
