Daffie (Williams 1968) 0_0
By PinRich
A VPX Version of the Williams table Daffie. Williams created two very similar tables, Daffie was the "add-a-ball" version where earning a "special" added a ball to the current game.
*** This is an early 0.0 version, so expect some bugs. Please let me know and I'll try to fix them. ***
I'm planning to convert this Daffie table into a Doozie version after people have played it and I have fixed any major bugs.
Both games feature a top gate and Zipper style Flippers. Based on videos I have seen, the rollover "buttons" move and I tried to simulate this effect.
*Daffie*
Special = extra ball for current game (up to 9)
Scoring on 5 reels (4 + a dummy 1's reel) - scores are thus 10 times Doozie (10-99990). Playfield and bumper caps have 10 times larger values than Doozie.
4 bumpers & 1 drop target
Backglass has 1-9 "balls to play" count lights and a manually entered "previous high score"
*Doozie*
Special = adds 1 game credit
Scoring on 4 reels (1-9999)
5 bumpers
Match function at end of game to possibly earn a free game
Backglass has 1-5 "ball in play" count lights and a 0-9 match lights
The number of completed X's determines which bumpers and special lights are lit.
If I'm reading the schematics correctly, those patterns are different between Doozie and Daffie.
It doesn't appear that either game had a credits reel. There are some notes that suggest Doozie may have had an optional credit counting unit.
** Feel free to modify or improve anything. **
** Halen has a B2S backglass in the works, so I assume that will be available soon.

Derby Day (Gottlieb 1956)
By PinRich
A VPX Version of Derby Day. Big thanks to Halen for suggesting it and creating the Backglass. Thanks to pbecker1946 for the VP9 version and the notes he included with it (including permission to use resources from it).
There are some fantastic VPX recreations of tables from the 1950's and 1960's and I probably grabbed bits from most of them. The Ace High table from jpsalas and Halen was especially useful.
This machine is old enough that it doesn't have a "Game Over" backglass light or a match function. When you are out of balls, that's the end. The real machine doesn't even have scoring reels - it uses lights.
Halen made a super nice B2S that does that nicely. I'm too lazy to try to do that on the desktop background, so I just stuck a scoring reel on there for people that don't use a B2S.
If you want a more realistic experience, I recommend using the F12 key to bring up the options menu.
Set "Manual Ball Lift (use magnasave key)" to YES to be like the real table and set "Show Score/Credits only on B2S" to YES.
The goal of the game is to advance "horses" around the track by hitting stuff. The only way to get a horse started on the track is to hit the circle standup targets. Getting the 4 horses lined up or getting any horse to the win/place/show area can earn free games. Even though it was created a long time ago, it's still fun today.
There are probably some bugs in this early release, so let me know and I'll try to get them fixed.

VPX Conversion 1/2/2025 by Polsonator2
Thanks go to original author Leo_Wanker for creating this awesome table in VP9. I have taken his original VP9 table and gave it a VPX makeover/conversion. I took the original playfield and then I used AI upscaling to create a much higher resolution image and I also hand cleaned up the imperfections I saw etc that came through on the AI upscale, like text on the table, etc. I also updated some of the script, added things where needed, and removed unneeded script code. I created and scripted in a working backglass which is also included. This conversion was made for cabinet play so it may not be fully perfect for someone that plays on a desktop pc view, etc.
After you insert a coin, push the RightMagnaSave button to release the ball.

Delta Queen by Bally, 1974
By PinRich
The 1974 Bally table Delta Queen. The main goal is to build the bonus and collect it by hitting the saucer on the upper left. If you can hit both the A and B target, the bonus is doubled. The bonus does not reset if it is collected by hitting the saucer. When the ball drains, the bonus is collected and is reset to 1000.
Instead of the usual "ball in play," this machine uses "balls remaining." I think the intent was to make it so you can earn an extra ball, and a shoot again at the same time. Also, there is a credit light which I think was for locations where you could earn an extra game but were not allowed to have a credit counter to possibly resell them. So, you knew there was at least 1 credit, but there could be more. Pinball has an interesting legal history.
There are lots of options on the F12 menu.
* This is a 0.0 "first draft" release. Please let me know if you find any problems. I asked Teisen to look it over, so we can look forward to some visual improvements.
I found a pretty good picture of the playfield and did my best to clean that up. I had a much harder time with the plastics, and they are far from perfect.
I didn't make a B2S this time, because I usually throw something together quick and within a few days somebody creates a much better one - which is awesome! This time I'm leaving it for people that are good at it. If nothing shows up in a few weeks, I'll make one.
*You have my permission to mod/improve/copy anything here.
Thanks again to the VP community for creating the VPX program, tutorials, and for sharing tables and resources!
