Thanks for another nice conversion. At first I thought the side rails looked a bit odd being flat like that without a beveled edge on the glass side but then I went searching for some images of the real machine... and yep... you got it right.... flat as a pancake on the real machine. :)

Interestingly, the glass on the real machine lifts up with the rails on a hinge rather than sliding out. Probably a better system than modern day tables. See an example of this in action at
