Due to system limitations searching with words of 3 or less characters will not return results. For instance; Doctor Who.  This will not return results as the system is trying to search for both Doctor AND Who in which Who will not be found as it's a 3 character word.  To find Doctor Who; you'd search for either Doctor or "Doctor Who".

    Search Tips:
For specific searches; enclose your search with quotes. Example: "Doctor Who" or "Addams Family".

Please see the "What's New" section below for changes made on Version 2.2. When you play this pinball game, your spirit will go with Eywa but your body will stay behind... Be like Jake Sully, become one with the Na’vi and immerse yourself into the world of Pandora. Walk through the dream; I see you! Just in time for the release of "Avatar: The Way of Water" in movie theaters comes a fantastic rework of Stern's Avatar table, complete with FizX physics, in-game lighting tweaker tool, full in-game menu system and mechanical sound recordings by Fleep. The FizX physics may be a slightly newer version than what is used on TerryRed's tables but it is the same system created by JLou5641. I recorded a video that provides an overview of the table and shows some game play. The game play is not my best but it shows the start of several game modes. Note that the flipper angles were changed on Version 2.2 but the video was not changed: Three Script Files (vbs) – Must Read Many of you have probably heard of DOFLinx. It is the way that guys that have pinball cabinets drive lights, addressable LEDs, buzzers, shakers, blowers etc. Even though this table has the coding for all that, you can still play it on a desktop PC. The download contains a file named "DOFLinx.vbs". If you are a desktop user, save the file to the folder, "C:\Games\Future Pinball\Scripts". If you don't have a Scripts folder in this location, you need to add it. If you have a cabinet, don't use this file if you have DOFLinx installed because the "DOFLinx.vbs" may be out of date. You can use an out of date version on a desktop PC without any problem. The download includes two other script files that need to be added to the folder, "C:\Games\Future Pinball\Scripts". The ball rolling sound script is the same that is used on other tables so you do not need to replace it if it has already been saved there: Avatar_script_FizXv112.vbs ZBRrollingballsoundslib.vbs If you don't save the script files to the folder, "C:\Games\Future Pinball\Scripts", you will get error messages and won't be able to play the table. Two Zip Files – Must Read There are two zip file included in the download, One of them contains the model of a ball with 8K polygons. The other zip file has a 1K polygon ball. The 8K ball has the same name as the table and should be tried first. The FizX physics work best with the 8K polygon ball. You can try using the 1K ball if your PC runs out of resources but it does not perform as well as the 8K. Do not unzip the zip files. Just save one of them with the same name as the table an place it in the same folder as the table. Both zip files contain a texture that drives the color DMD. If you don't use one of the zip files, the DMD will appear white in color and the physics won't be as good. BAM – Must Read This table requires BAM version 1.5-329 or later in order for it to perform as intended and to not crash or generate error messages. How to Use the In-Game Lighting Tweaker Tool and Menu System I recorded the following video on how to use the lighting tweaker and menu. To open the lighting tweaker, you press the Special 1 key. You open the menu system by pressing the Special 2 key. When you open the menu during a game, the game play is paused until you exit the menu. For the cabinet guys, I have set up the menu system so it will display correctly on your screen and it will not be distorted. You must have "Hide Overlays = false" set in BAM Addons menu to see the lighting tweaker DMD and the menu system. This is the default setting so if you have never changed it, you don't need to do anything. Options in the Script This table can be demanding on resources for many PCs. If you have problems with resources, I wrote a 9 step guide on how to reduce resources. I added it to the beginning of the script because several of the options have to be implemented in the script. I prefer that tables do not have a great deal of bounce off the flippers. I noticed that some folks like having more bounce that I do. If you want more bounce, I have added a list of suggested values for three parameters in the script that have different levels of bounce. Search the script for "Flipper bouncing general setting". There are several other areas in the script where I have written comments on how to tweak different parameters. Table Loading Screen There are four table loading textures as listed below. The first two landscape textures are intended to be used on desktop PCs. The last two portrait textures are intended to be used on pinball cabinets. LoadingLandscape1.jpg LoadingLandscape2.jpg LoadingPortrait1.jpg LoadingPortrait2.jpg "Rotated Display" Version I added a version of the table that I call "rotated display". This is intended for those of us that have a desktop PC and can rotate the monitor so it is in portrait format. It improves the display if you are able to orient your monitor this way. I added a screenshot of it. This version will not be useful on pinball cabinets or on PCs which have a normal landscape orientation. The download includes a PDF file with directions on how to set up this version of the table. Conclusion A lot is happening now with Future Pinball. It seems that new technology keeps coming out. This table adds some of the new technology with FizX physics and Gimli's in-game tweaker. AnonTet also created the coding for using Fleep's sounds. There is a FizX tweaker available that Gimli developed also. Unfortunately, I was unable to figure out how to add both the lighting and FizX tweaker to one table so I added the lighting tweaker by itself. Gimli doesn't have the time right now to look at the issue but hopefully he may find time next year. You can adjust the FizX parameters in the script. I know that JLou is working on a new version of FizX and I am sure that more new technology will be developed in the future for Future Pinball. I hope you enjoy this new version of Avatar. I must have played it hundreds of times testing all the changes. I can say that I never got tired of playing it. List of Changes 1. Added FizX physics full setup with the associated flippers, drop targets, bumpers, rubbers and slingshots. 2. Added color DMDs. 3. Added HUD Toggle Key that saves setting. 4. Added lighting mod and added Lighting Control Panel to the script. 5. Added switchable option for 3 or 5 balls per game that saves setting. 6. Physmod 5 and standard VP files uploaded. Again, I adjusted everything for physmod so it plays best but I did a basic conversion down to VP 9.9 for those not on physmod yet. Thanks to ASOT for the table redraw and plastic resources. Thanks to GTXJOE for the Buck scripting as well as the rubber sound scripting. Thanks to kanario40 for the pics of the plastics and PF. Thanks to DARK for the buck model and help with the 3D ramp Thanks to my testers for helping to find bugs in the table. Hopefully we've found them all and I've got them all fixed. ***Everyone just needs to know right now that the buck is not 100% and I doubt it will be 100% at any point unless the true rom script can be figured out. Had some of the best minds on that and what I have on it now is the best we could come up with. It's good enough for me as it allows you to play the table but I know some like an exact match. Also, the Elk will get confused sometimes and the Elk wont match the diverter on rare occurrences. This has to do with how the diverter is working. It refreshes itself when it happens so just keep playing on and all will be well. *** 10-2 Update *** - Replaced the Elk model with an actual elk. Thanks to Dark for mapping the model for me. - replaced the script for the Elk to make it smoother. Thanks to GTXJOE for the suggestion to mirror the flipper logo routine - Updated wall5 to have no friction as requested in the comments section (thanks to Dozer for advising on it first) - adjusted the physics in physmod5. Just didn't feel right so I tweaked a few things - removed the "spin" from the bird target on the physmod version. This should make that shot more friendly. It shouldn't drain as often now when you hit it. - added BMPR lite routine for VP 9.9 version. Also tweaked several other items in this version. Ya'll are way to nice. I broke down and played this version a bit and I didn't like the game play at all. Way to fast, and bad ball movement. I think this version plays much more like a mid 2000 Stern. - adjusted flipper bounce on physmod5 version. I had the value as 1 and it should have been .1 for the coil return. While in there I adjusted a few more things so you can now do bounce passes. Thanks crazypin for point that out. - Walls added to flipper entrances to make for a smoother ball roll coming out of the inlanes. - several other small tweaks done as well

I was planning on launching this Christmas morning as a present to the community but since I'm betting most of you will be out with family then I might as well make it an early present :-) This is a recreation of Sterns Avatar. The only thing I added to this table that isn't part of the real table is the Jake animation. The DMD shows the box closing but the figure is stationary on the real machine. I made an animation to make it close when you lock a ball and to open back up when their is no longer a ball locked. Hope you all like it. This table is a drain monster out of the pops. I left it that way as that is how the real avatar was that I played. simple nudge will save it 99% of the time so that adds some skill to the table. I hope you all enjoy this table and a special thanks goes out to Dupe3d whom play tested this table for me to try to make sure it wasn't launched with any bugs. He was even able to add the 3 bank target as a primative which I feel looks much better than having to use multiple walls. Thanks Dupe3d! Keep in mind this is a SAM table so you will need to appropriate files located here - http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/file/2480-vpinmame-25-sam-enabled-cabinet-versions/ Also keep in mind the ROMs are not hosted here. For more info on getting the ROM and installing it please see this thread - http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/828-stern-roms/ *Special Instructions for Avatar ROM* http://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/965-avatar-stern-2010-85vett/?p=8604 If you see any bugs let me know and I'll do my best to get them fixed. As with my other tables, if you wish to MOD this table please let me know. I have no issues with that but I would like to check it out first to make sure it's inline with the original creation and doesn't create bugs/problems. **** physmod5 version uploaded - added primative spinners and gate - lighting changed to new flasher style
