Deathbringer Posted January 23, 2023 Posted January 23, 2023 Yesterday the table locked up on me with the "You should not be here" message, after having some troubles with lost balls or draining balls not ending the ball. I was on an extra ball of ball 1, started mummy multiball, triggered 'ball added' on that. As I was down to 2 balls, I shot one ball up the left ramp for the sarcophagus, while the second ball drained. The remaining ball got stuck in the sarcophagus (see at ~03:25 in the video). The third ball search than magically teleported the ball from the sarcophagus to the right orbit (see at ~04:25 in the video). But when the ball drained, it did not end the ball (see at ~04:50 in the video). The table did 3 ball searches and than put a new ball into the plunger (see at ~06:10 in the video). Ball drained, but still it did not end ball 1. Did the ball searches again and put a new ball into the plunger, I drained and still on ball 1. Did that twice. Than, as I shot the opened underworld the game froze up (see at ~09:40 in the video). When using ALT-Tab I could see the "You should not be here" message, which could not be closed (or directly popped up again after closing), so I had to kill VPX. I hope this helps in tracking down the error.
Darkiller Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 hi everyone, could someone tell if DOF has been implemented yet on Iron Maiden ? reason i'm asking is because i've seen it on the DOF Config Tool but despite updating my DOF file a few times, I still have no DOF on Iron Maiden (nor on Game of Thrones, for the matter). so wondering if i'm missing something of if, very simply, DOF has yet to be implemented on IM and GOT? thanks a lot for your reply and thank you all for making this hobby wonderful.
Oroborus77 Posted January 27, 2023 Posted January 27, 2023 @Darkiller The DOF you are seeing is probably the old one for the old IM mod table. I think DOF is not ready yet for this table, i dont know about GOT. Be patient a little more

jbaynham Posted January 28, 2023 Posted January 28, 2023 Awesome achievement on this. I am having an issue with the PUP display layout, I play on desktop but with 2 screens, 1 in portrait, 2 in landscape. If I run PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat, it won't let me put anything on display 2. I can drag a window over there, but when I click back to it, it jumps back to display 1, and using the Quick Position set to Display 2 just makes the chosen screen go full screen on display 1. Anyone got this working in a similar configuration?

I run VPX 10.3 and VPINMAME 3.4, my DOF (toys + flashers) work perfect on all tables BUT Game of thrones (I get nothing), Iron Maiden (I get nothing), and Batman 66 (on that one I get the toys to work, but not the flashers). for the record, a similar table (same creator), Guardians of the Galaxy, works perfect with both toys and flashers. so I really have no explanations (especially since my other 250 tables all work great toys + flashers too!). my hardware setup: - Intel i5-4460 @3.20GHz - 16 Go DDR3 - MSI GTX 1070 8 Gb running 4k at 60Hz - KL25 - Shaker motor - 8x contactors - 5 Flashers

makmak Posted January 31, 2023 Posted January 31, 2023 I had the pleasure to play the "real thing" yesterday...what a rumbler, lol, no way to have it in an apartment house... I noticed the shiny sparkling of the wired ramps and all the other metals and asked myself why the virtual table does not so much. Of course my machine could not simulate all the reflections at the wires, but the wires nevertheless look too dark for my taste. I then tried to change the look of the wires more or less succesfull because left and right wires are not of the same type. My hope is an option to light up all the wires somehow someday? Nevertheless absolutely stunning work, you guys rock! (and I am not an Iron Maiden fan at all...)

Adeysan Posted February 9, 2023 Posted February 9, 2023 Greetings all First, thanks for a superb table - definitely worth fighting with PinupPopper for. Thanks! Second - very small issue... but I, like others, can't change LUT settings. Known issue, or am I missing something? Thanks again team VPW!
Adeysan Posted February 10, 2023 Posted February 10, 2023 Here's a fix for LUT changes not working... simply uncomment lines 2230-2234 in the script. You can now change the LUT by holding left magna and cycling through them with the right magna button.
mickismmonds2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 great table, love the theme, finally got round to swapping out the 8bit to the music, didnt follow the links to buy as already own their albums etc, ripped to mp3, renamed all the files of the tracks to match, ran the batch music creator, but only got 9 files come out the other side, not all of them? is it looking for specifics versions? or did i somehow mess up something? either way still got 9 awesome songs now! any help would be awesome, thanks
actarus Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Hello, I believe the music creator bat file is intended to create only 9 "new" trimmed to 30 seconds files amongst the music files you put there, to be used only in 9 specific modes/occasions. Don't forget to copy Hallowed as "End of Game" sequence (or any other trimmed file I guess but that would not be the intent of the authors). BR
mickismmonds2023 Posted February 16, 2023 Posted February 16, 2023 well I got curious and edited the batch file and now have the other songs showing up in the song choices, not really sure on the ffmpeg settings so just copied one of the others, but hey I have more songs to choose from, not sure if will affect the gameplay we shall see, otherwise can always go back not sure why would only have 9 when the original file suggested a lot more files to purchase/download?
Adeysan Posted February 17, 2023 Posted February 17, 2023 Hi all, Anyone have this running with FlexDMD (on a realDMD) in addition to PinUP? Any special tricks required to get it working? Here I receive an 'reference not set to an instance of an object error' when it tries to initiate Flex. Flex is working fine on all my other tables that use it/UltraDMD. Thanks in advance for any tips...
MichaelReetz Posted February 21, 2023 Posted February 21, 2023 (edited) Thanks a lot for this great table. Is there a possibility to activate/use a 4:1 LCD DMD display for this table? Edited February 22, 2023 by MichaelReetz

ruizrmarcio Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 This job and table is simply SICK!!!! i am playing this every single day for 3 weeks at least!!!!!! everything runs nice and smooth but there is no lights at all (strobes, flashlights, leds). is that correct for this version or do I need to set something up?
EisTee Posted February 25, 2023 Posted February 25, 2023 (edited) Hi, i got a strange behaviour and dont know the reason. Already reinstalled table, pup and testet with VPX 10.7.2 and VPX 10.73. In songselection at the start i can select any song and play with it, so all songs are present and working. hen starting a mode for example "Trooper Multiball" the current song stops and IM_Trooper.mp3 should be played but i only can hear FX from PUP and table. When mode is finished it plays the song i startet the game with like normal. And when i first installed the table it worked like it should i dunno whats happning cause i didnt change anything on my setup. Table Version 1.0.2 and PUP 1.0.0 EDIT: Ok i gues i just copied the wrong Music from my backup, i missed the IM_XXXX_Mode.mp3 i gues it work now again. Edited February 25, 2023 by Aetron

Saveoldstuff Posted March 13, 2023 Posted March 13, 2023 (edited) UPDATE: Most errors are gone since the Upgrade to 64bit required to play BBB. Awesome guide --> https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/wiki/64bit-VPX-Pincab-Setup-Guide Hi Pinheads, here is a short overview of common errors in IM_LOTB and some instructions to fix them. I wrote this posting to help others that encountered the same errors i had with this awesome table. It took me hours to find out why some things are screwed, don't work, sound bad, don't pop up whatever. I read the same questions in the support threads again and again but there was no list with errors and tips to fix them. This posting is not finished and i give my best to add updates as long as i have the time for it. LUT Settings: To change the LUT settings via magna save buttons you have to edit the script and remove the comment symbol before the code. The position depends on the VPW release version. For example in IM_LOTB release 1.0.12 you have to go to line 2249. Remove the comment symbol (') before line 2249, 2250, 2251 and 2252. Click Script in the left edge and click compile. In case there are no errors close the script editor and save the table. The next time you start IM_LOTB you can change the LUT settings with your magnasave buttons. You have to hold/press down left or right magnasave key/button (depending on how you assigned your keys/buttons) and press the other one to switch the LUT settings. Keep in mind that the line position changes from release to release. When the VPW devs add code to the script, the lines can change or maybe you don't have to edit these settings at all in a future release if they make the LUT change a default condition like in previous releases. Music: In case the music volume is to low you can edit the script. Starting line position for IM_LOTB release 1.0.12 is line 138 where you can increase or lower the values for table volume levels music and callouts. Compile the script, save table and test out if the settings match your setup and sound fine. Just in case you really have problems with your digital audio files you can use audacity to normalize or increase the volume. From my experience it is not neccessary as long as your files are not in bad condition. In case you need audacity to fix your files --> https://manual.audacityteam.org/man/normalize.html Missing Backglass / No Music / No Videos / PuP Errors. UPDATE: Most errors are gone since the Upgrade to 64bit required to play BBB. Awesome guide --> https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/wiki/64bit-VPX-Pincab-Setup-Guide To play IM_LOTB you need a working installation of nailbusters PinUP System because the table is PuP Pack based. You don't need the Popper Frontend to play but PinUp Player must work. I asume that your PinUp System works and you are able to play tables with PuP Packs. If that's not the case, you will find installation guidelines on nailbusters site and Terry Reds Youtube Channel. Both Sources are fantastic to get everything up and running. 1: https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=install_guide 2: Terry Reds Youtube Channel and his Videoguide: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nI8wD4Pwvfg One great feature of PinUP System is the possibility to use custom layouts. You can find the explanation here https://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=pinup_pack_layout. My personal approach to play IM_LOTB was a clean start beginning with the positioning of the Video Layers. First i made a backup of my PinUPPlayer.ini file in C:\PinUPSystem. Then i deleted the file and fired up PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays. This Setup to play PuP Packs is based on 2 or 3 Screens. For IM_LOTB i use 3 Screens. First Screen as Playfield which is physical rotated to portrait orientation. Second Screen as Backglass Display in landscape orientation. Third screen [old Android Tablet] for DMD or Topper in landscape orientation. Regarding the third screen: I use https://www.spacedesk.net/ to connect the Tablet + i use 2 additional DP ports from my GPU. One is used as adminstration screen with open taskmanager and tools to check if everything is running as it should, Browser etc. The second one is an old TFT Display connected with a DP to DVI Cable. I use it as replacement for the tablet in case my kids hijacked the device ;-) The TFT is perfect for DMD / Topper or whatever layer i have to assign. In my case the usecase/setup depends on the table i want to play. In this setup the Playfield Layer is assigned to the first screen [fullscreen 16:9 resolution] The Backglass Layer is assigned to the second screen [fullscreen 16:9 resolution] and Apron/FullDMD is assigned to the third screen (the adroid tablet) [fullscreen 16:9 resolution] or the TFT. All other layers are at their default position. Make sure to execute the correct *.bat file matching your setup in the root folder of your IM_LOTB Pup Pack! You have to do that once. Backglass image not loading: UPDATE: This Error is fixed since the Upgrade to 64bit required to play BBB. Awesome guide --> https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/wiki/64bit-VPX-Pincab-Setup-Guide As final advice: Make sure to power on all your physical displays BEFORE you boot your machine. Don't start fiddling around with on/off - plugin/plugout when you are in Windows. If you do that, reboot when you have finished everything and then start assigning your PuP layers and the assignement of your B2S layers. Also don't forget to play Pinball and don't burn all your sparetime for PuP Pack installation/troubleshooting. You are here to play and the magic comes from the table not from the pack. Like Eddie would say "Die with your balls gone" ;-) Greetings fly out to other Pinheads with good tips to sort problems out. @Adeysan who mentioned the LUT settings in the script. AFAICR @wiesshund mentioned the spacedesk software somewhere else. Cheers SOS Edited March 18, 2023 by Saveoldstuff UPDATE: Most errors are gone since the Upgrade to 64bit required to play BBB.
