The Last Dragon

When I first started messing with virtual pinball a few years ago, I was scrolling through tables, and being a child of the 80s,  one of the first tables I downloaded was a previous iteration of the Last Dragon and its accompanying pup packs. Knowing nothing about nothing, it took me forever to get it to work, and after all that work, it left me wanting for more (no offense to authors). 

Fast forward 3+ years, my knowledge has increased greatly, and I have become more discerning in the tables I download to test, much less keep on my cab. An original table has to be a real banger to make it into the rotation, and I try to stay away from pup packs unless they are necessary or next level good.

I say all of this because, well….this is a banger! The gameplay flows with the same smoothness of Bruce Leroy himself. The backglass and playfield are beautifully done and capture the essence of the film. The puppack graphics on the fulldmd are positioned well without being overly busy, and the clips & sound samples used are fitting and hit the mark, rather than forced and out of place. The scoring sound effects are unique as well.
 

Lastly, the loading media is fantastic, and thank you for including a matching backglass for that as well. Another nice touch is the pup-pack warning when starting the table w/o selecting an option. 

I haven’t noticed any bugs during setup or the couple of short games I played, but did notice DOF did not appear to be working. That may be a me issue, as I haven’t updated in a few days, or really explored the table options outside of my standard setup routine.

Wow this plays so smooth and sound is well balanced. I like the slapstick humour. Physics lighting, timing pup displays is spot on. I really like the music and music change with mode.  Its just a fun table, great choice of theme and outstanding build. ThankyouVPxpinballwizards.

This table is flowy, combo-y, fun, and funny. Love it so much. Tons of talent and hours clearly went into this awesome project. Kudos guys!

Wow, this is an awesome table and back glass! I loved this movie when I was a kid and I watched it over and over. I wanted the power one day..lol

Wow, what an amazing table!  This sure brings back memories -- I may need to trick my kids into watching this movie 🙂

The table isn't quite 80s authentic -- it has way too many fun ramps and clear graphics to be a period table, but no matter it is really fun to play.  I wanted to watch the videos playing (and may have lost a ball or two).

This is an amazing original. Every part of the table - design, PUPpack, music, lighting - is perfection. The gameplay is excellent, and at times frenetic when you get the left/right loop combos going.

Thanks to all of the team who worked on this great product. It is a real standout on my cabinet!

This is too good to be true! So I thought I was the only one who even cared for this film. I remember back in the mid eighties there were 3 martial arts films that my dad allowed me to see. Karate Kid, Big Trouble in little China, and yes,  The Last Dragon. I loved this wacky film, The glow effects kinda reminded me of the light sabers in Star Wars too. It was awesome.  Now what is really cool is all the love put into this table. The lighting, the lanes, the missions and above all the pup dmd is all just fantastically done. To top everything you have a fire breathing DRAGON!  Merlin, Zandy and Joe truly live up their name. They truly are @Vpxpinballwizards!! Thank you so much for this amazing gem.

Holy freaking crap this table is incredible. I've never seen the movie but immediately adding it to my queue.
