marccy1138 Posted May 9, 2023 Posted May 9, 2023 Hi All. You probably all know this already but I fixed my color ROM issue and thought I would share All of a sudden some tables stopped showing color. No matter what I did I couldn't figure it out. I moved to 64bit in order to run Big Bang Bar. I have A LOT of tables in popper and I have been discovering ones you need to run with an alternate launch with 32bit VPX 10.7. I didn't put two and two together in that a table that will only run 32bit will need the Lucky 32bit files. I put those in there and my tables that suddenly stopped doing color (which all have an alternate launcher in popper) now work. Man, I have been in this hobby (Addiction more like) for 2 yrs+ now and there is always things to learn. Thanks to Cliffy for mentioning you need the x86 Lucky Files too.

You need to remove the old version of the files from the pinmame folder.
Oldschool4 Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Hi Lucky1, not sure if im the only one thats noticed but.. im useing a real pin2dmd with v4.43. when the dmd extensions are installed from 8/3 with serum.dll theres color with ss_15crz, cp_16crz and tron legacy. When i remove the serum.dll and install the latest dmdextension from page 1 only ss_15crz has colour, the other 2 dont, if i leave the serum.dll in, still no good.

It does not even know which filetype is used by the colorization. It just sends out the uncolored frames to the plugin and receives the colored frames to display. Maybe you can post a dmddevice.log of Indi with pup working with vni coloring in place and not working because of .pac.

Cliffy Posted May 10, 2023 Posted May 10, 2023 Well you can run fine without an actual b2s as long as you have a b2stablesettings.xml and the top line shows the plugin (pup) active. <ArePluginsOn>1</ArePluginsOn> This line turns on the pup driver same as if you right click on a running glass and check the "activate plugins" box at the bottom

I'm not using B2S files with the tables I only use PupPacks with.

I think @MikeDASpike found a solution for this On 5/8/2023 at 3:25 PM, MikeDASpike said: To make a short story long :I'm testing (for a longer period) a plugin in b2sserver. This plugin uses b2sserver to get the lamps, leds etc to change scores for certain old tables. Tables that are compatible with this plugin needs to have "Use external DMD (dll)" unchecked. The plugin will generate the DMD for these tables and uses flexDMD to show. although this installation has shipped DLL's for dmddevice.dll and flexdmd.dll, (and should not do anything with tables like AC-DC, or any other rom that is not supported), the DLL's that where shipped causes issues. Turning off the plugin in B2sServer makes all work again. Turning on, causes the problem. Changing the DMDdevice.dll and DMDdevice64.dll from your zip file and add it to this plugin, makes the plugin works and all the other colored files (VNI/Pall, SAM colored, PAC and Serum)

griffindodd Posted May 12, 2023 Posted May 12, 2023 All my 'regular' games are rendering color great with pac files, except for the 'special' one. I've gone through the setup so many times but cannot get the altcolor pac to work for it. I only have one error regarding the dmddevicePUP.dll also I noticed it's looking for a pal file in the location I have a pac but I'm using all the updated .dlls which work fine for all other tables using pac files. here's my log... Pine Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 Thanks. Seems the pin2color plug-in isn’t loading in my SPA setup.

Pine Posted May 13, 2023 Posted May 13, 2023 (edited) I don't even have that DLL in my VPinMame folder either despite have latest Freezy and these updated files. Edited May 13, 2023 by Pine
