I redesigned the board to a full through hole version. If there is any, I would like to get some feedback on the current design. I followed as much as possible the layout of the SMT version. I narrowed (from 60mm to 50mm) the opening behind the panels to fit the nucleo. Should be enough for the ribbon cables and power cables to be placed. -René I've just seen what you did (sorry for the delay) and I've downloaded the last version 1.1. I'm ordering 5 of them. Thx for your work ^^
scoby78
Hi Lucky, I have been unsuccessful in my attempts at converting the BRD eagle file to a gerber file, and the elecrow guys can't seem to convert it as well. Is there a particular software program I need to use? PCBway I know have the gerber files already uploaded however they are not available for download. I have had significant quality control issues with PCBway in my last orders so would like to try the elecrow guys. Thanks again for your help. Benoit As far as I can see the clock of that board is 25Mhz while Nucleo has 8Mhz. You may have to change the oscillator on that board to make it work. Content Provider lucky1 Posted May 31, 2022 Author Content Provider Share Posted May 31, 2022 Like I said, change the 25Mhz oscillator Y2 to a 8Mhz oscillator with SMD 5032 2-pin footprint and it should work. This part is fairly big and should be easy to solder. SD Card and USB use the same pinout like my EVO and should work also the rest of the schematics need to be moved to the shield. Benoit33
thank you I finally understand you have to change the Y2 directly on the card with an 8mhz and flash with the dfu and it should work, is that just a hardware replacement? thank you and sorry for my insistence. Benoit Edit : I just tested with an 8mhz crystal, it's perfect thanks again

Could it be that PinballX sends 128x32 RGB frames to display the pinballX logo etc ? It is not supported by PIN2DMD HD to display 128x32 RGB24 frames. Benoit33
is the problem with pinballx or my "media" files? if I put the latest dll in the pinballx folder it works. but impossible to exit from VPX once the table has been launched no solution ? Benoit33
i change the enabled by native. the image on the pin2DMD HD is cut into 4 small distorted image but we recognize the logo and the frontend crash always.

Sorry . My fault. You need to change from enabled = true; to enabled = native; in the pin2dmd section of the dmddevice.ini.
