Welcome To The Future! (v2.0!)

VPW are very proud to present Total Nuclear Annihilation V2.0! This project started in April '21 when EBisLit obtained a full set of new plastics for TNA for scanning, and gtxjoe started updating the script of the original v1.0 release with numerous fixes and rolling in both nfozzy physics and fleep audio, supported by Scott Danesi who provided the original DMD media, TNA light animations and sound effects. Over the next 2 years the table was worked on by a number of people in the community changing and updating nearly everything, bringing it as close in line with the real table as possible, including programming the light shows and now using the original machines video. What you see is the culmination of thousands of man hours of development, we're super happy with it, and hope you will be too! (and yes it's meant to be that hard!)

TABLE MUSIC
===========
This VPX table **does not** come with the TNA soundtrack.
For the full music experience, you will need to BUY the TNA Album and possibly convert the songs from FLAC format to mp3 format with a tool like this: https://www.freac.org/

It is available here:
https://www.scottdanesi.com/?download=scott-danesi-total-nuclear-annihilation-flac-audio

After buying them rename all mp3 files to TNA1.mp3 through TNA10.mp3 (Scarlet.mp3 is not used)
Place the tracks in the
        \Visual Pinball\Music\TNA
folder, then you must find and set bMusicOn to true in the script like this:
        Const bMusicOn = True

and then you can disable the TNA message by setting

       Disable_TNA_Message = True

Please show Scott Danesi your support and thanks for creating an awesome pinball game and for making the music available for us to buy.
This release is fully compatible with the old release for anyone who purchased the soundtrack for that.

PinUp Player  *Now Required*
===========================
** Download the Pup Pack from the Download button on this page! ***
Pinup Player 1.44 or higher is required. Install files and setup guide can be found here:
http://www.nailbuster.com/wikipinup/doku.php?id=install_guide

●     PuP-Pack folder "tna" needs to be copied to your PUPVideos folder.

●     Windows "Text and Scaling" / DPI must be set to 100 for ALL your screens!

●     your "PuP Backglass" display needs to be a proper 16:9 ratio (such as 1920x1080)

●     if you have a dedicated 3rd LCD screen that is 16:9 ratio or full size (similar to the real TNA cabinet),

●     then your Pup "FullDMD" display must be positioned on that 3rd screen and at 16:9 ratio (1920x1080, 1366x768, 1280x720,etc)

●     it's VERY important to have the PuP Backglass and PuP Music displays at proper 16:9 ratio, or the text will NOT display correctly

●     the pup displays can be configured with the PinUpPlayerConfigDisplays.bat

There are 4 PuP-Pack options (depending on your cabinet / setup):
Navigate to the;
          PinUPSystem\PUPVideos\tna
Directory and double click on the option you will be using to set up PuP properly.

Option 1 - PUPDMD on the Backglass. For those who don't have a dedicated fullsize 3rd monitor / TV for the PUPDMD text and videos.
Option 2 - PUPDMD on the Backglass with B2S. Same as above, but setup to allow the 4 player score from the directb2s to show on the bottom.
Option 3 - PUPDMD on a Fullscreen (similar to a modern Stern or TNA cabinet). Display the PUPDMD and Text on a 3rd dedicated 16:9 fullscreen.
This option allows you to also view the entire TNA Backglass at the same time.
Option 4 - VR or Desktop. This is to display everything on one screen for both desktop and VR users.

Truly amazing table! This table sounds and feels so real, just wow. I liked the previous version, glow ball and all but this is a HOMERUN!!!! Everything is very smooth and VERY realistic. A lot of TLC went into this one and it shows. Thanks all involved, really well done. Much appreciate you sharing this masterpiece. For the people in doubt...only $10 for the music. Money going to an independant producer. Should be a no brainer for all the fun you get in return. VPW and other contributors...thanks guys!!

Huge improvement on the initial revisions by the VPW coalition. This game behaves almost exactly how you would see it in videos of the real thing.

TNA from Spooky Pinball, recreated by VPW; a new-school LCD game that'll satisfy the 80s pinball snob. Rules can be picked up pretty quickly. This game is fast, flat, and there is no shortage of pitfalls (just like classic games for pros, and my ex girlfriend). Perceptive players will find out exactly what angles to shoot the 3 standups from without hitting the outlanes.

If you're a glutton for punishment, like synth music, or want a game for competition, download this.

Wow, amazing !

Thank's Scott Danesi for this, what an amazing gift for the virtual pinball community !

Thank's VPW team for bringing this table to life on VPX.

What a result !

The table is brutal, it's an accomplishment to have a multiball or a mission, but i'm going back every time, hooked by the music, hooked by the work on physics...

Thank you !!!!!

Edit : no need to convert the FLAC, Scott is providing an MP3 version of each file, when you buy the music pack.

One of the best virtual pinball tables ever created. Gameplay is just fabulous. No hesitation, download, get comfortable with the rule set and from there it is just pure fun ! Thank you so much for all the hard work that went into this project. Wonderful outcome!:

This virtual pinball version of Total Nuclear Annihilation is a homage to all that is great with Virtual Pinball.

A sublime, well-crafted reproduction of the original product, writ digitally.

Pixel perfect artwork, world-class physics, spectacular lighting, perfect sound and music (music purchased separately, but you know that), and the unforgiving cruelty of the original table, all wrapped up with a dynamite pup-pack.

Do not hesitate - download and install this immediately (including buying the music), do not pass go, do not collect $200.  Your time is limited, as the alarms are sounding, and unless you can destroy those reactors we will ALL be annihilated!

TIPS:
- Hit the middle targets (to qualify reactor) right away after the plunge, while your ball-save is active!
- Start Multi-ball upon bringing reactor to critical stage
- Pray to the Pinball Gods for help! (tough table!)

So this is probably the most played table in my cab so I was very keen on getting a VPW version. I haven't had a chance to load it up and play it yet but it looks like there are lots of goodies rolled into this one. Please support Scott Danesi. Don't cheap out. The music makes the game and you can impress your friends when they come over. Even better it encourages people like Scott to support our hobby when they see real world benefits. I know when TNA was originally released on VP, Scott saw a decided bump in music sales. Let's see if we can bump it again! Show your support for his work and his co-operation with the community. Let's also give a shout out to Spooky for publishing and building the real deal. I've been saving for a real one. Maybe someday.

Wow this is a stunning achievement guys - and how friggin cool is it that the mastermind behind the game helps out by providing the video assets etc.?!  If only STERN were that friggin cool, eh?

This game is amazing, the gameplay is fast and wicked, with awesome multiball action. Happy to have bought the soundtrack for the previous version - and after having played this I might be tempted to get on the order list for TNA 2.0!

Thank you VPW! (& of course Scott Danesi!)

GREAT table! The soundtrack is a must. It looks and plays like a real table in VR.

The atmosphere is very special of this table because it feels like an old table AND a table out of the future at the same time! Thanks VPW once again!

Has to be one of the best recreations in terms of physics ever.  We have a real version locally and this table just nails it.  Outstanding!

Nice update to an already fantastic table.
Lots of options that can be set up in the script. I really appreciated the staged flipper settings. Thank you
Although I have the older "traditional" WPC PinCab setup with Backglass and RealDMD, the Pup Pack works well and fits in with the theme.

I think this is the table I have been waiting for the most since I have gotten into VPX a year or two ago. I know there are other versions, and they were pretty decent.  This one seems to have been made out of love.  The ball movement... speed, physics, difficulty... (Not being able to capture the ball so easily on the flippers) - just like a real table.  The speed of the ball... Wow.   This one is awesome.  Looking forward to trying it in VR at some point - but in my cabinet - it is beautiful.   Thank you to everyone listed in the credits.  You knocked it out of the park!

I've never played this in real life, but it almost feels like I have now. This is soooo good and visually stunning! Physics feel so real, the gameplay is simple but super addictive. The masters have made another God Tier table!

The most accurate recreation of a physical table that i've had the pleasure to play.

The table sounds and playfield are spot on, the physics are perfect, as is the pup. Dropping 9.99 for the soundtrack is the least i can do to show my appreciation. Thank you and congrats to GTXJOE and all involved at VPW 👏

Ever since being introduced to this table by Scott himself last year at the KnobCon Synth conference (and attending a seminar over it as well!), I've been jonsing to play this table again. Such a classic take on pinball for a modern age.  When installing this and firing it up, I was instantly taken back! Such a accurate recreation. Music is so WORTH it to purchase and support Scott! Just wish my screen would accurately represent how intense the lighting is for this table. The LUT options are amazing and get it pretty dang close. Even the small changes you can make to the script to get fantasy balls and different flippers. Great work everyone who was involved!

Looks and plays awesome. Scott also has the apron images for download on his site which is good for digital aprons!

Masterpiece.
Tough as nails but incredibly fun to play
Awesome GFX, PUP and overall feel. Gets the ol' adrenaline pumping this one.
Table sounds are especially sweet through my lowly exciters.
Some really cool options here too - love me that blue GI, and who doesn't like a good selection of balls(..)?
GJ guys, and huge, huge thanks!

Beautiful table, many glowball options as well as non glow, and scorbit support. Music is not needed to enjoy but it does add to the table and supports the creator/designer. The table is simple but tough. I keep saying last game, as I start up another. Excellent job.

I'm running out of words to describe the awesomeness packed into this table! Visuals, sounds, gameplay, immersion, it has it all! I think I know what VP greatness is but each new release raises the bar. Everyone should support Scott Danesi and download the soundtrack, it completes the package. Thank you Scott Danesi, VPW and the previous authors for an amazing build!

When you least expect it, Team VPW hits you in the face with a shovel. This smacks the boredom out of me for a few years for sure. It's so dang gorgeous! And plays just like the real one! This is incredible! Thank you to all the hard workers who slaved for years on this! The amount of work as finally paid off, we will have this to enjoy forever now! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!

Two years of one step forward, two steps back by VPW have now perfectly delivered to VPX one of the most brutal pinball experiences. I'm in disbelieve each time I manage to put a good game together... and then realise I'm nowhere close to finishing the table. The thing is, this table keeps on pulling you back for just that one game more and the hope that you will one day make it through nine reactors. Well done team! This table is a winner.

Table is beautiful, nice music (I've bought it), but the PupPack is very difficult to set-up for Desktop mode, 1920x1080 (solved by editing "screens.pup" file, 3rd line).
