Pinball Mania (21st Century Entertainment 1995) Instruction Cards

This is a set of 26 instruction cards for use with Pinball Mania.

Unfortunately, no manual for the DOS version seems to exist online, so I used the Amiga manual instead. As far as I can tell, the table rules are identical.

I took screenshots from each table, added the relevant text from the manual, and then went a step further by highlighting and illustrating the various table features directly on the images.

Sadly, the manual itself is one of the worst I’ve ever worked with. There are no screenshots, many descriptions are frustratingly vague (“the ball trap” - which one? There are three!), and several table features are never explained at all.

By watching an unhealthy number of gameplay videos on YouTube, I managed to piece together the location and purpose of some of the more obscure features and fill in a few of the blanks myself. Even so, there are still some mysteries left unsolved, so if anyone happens to come across a more detailed manual, I’d greatly appreciate a heads-up.

Pinball Dreams Deluxe (21st Century Entertainment 1994) Instruction Cards

This is a set of 77 instruction cards for use with Pinball Dreams Deluxe. (If you prefer, you can also split it into separate sets for Pinball Dreams Parts 1 and 2, since Deluxe essentially combines the tables from both games.)

Usually when I add a game to my cab that isn't a VPX or Future Pinball table, I simply grab a PDF of the manual, extract the rules pages as images, and use those for instruction cards. Quick and easy.

Scans of the original Pinball Dreams manuals are easy enough to find online. Pinball Dreams Deluxe or even Pinball Dreams 2, not so much. So what's an obsessive little documentation nerd like me supposed to do?

Luckily, my copy of Pinball Dreams Deluxe had a readme.txt file containing all the table features and rules - just without any graphics.
So I took screenshots from the game for each table, added the text from the readme file, and then went a step further by adding highlighted images to illustrate each table feature.

Le process est assez simple je génère un fichier texte de la traduction française « brute » de la vidéo.
Vous corrigez dans le fichier texte les anomalies de traduction de l’I.A et je renvois la traduction corrigée dans Clidéo pour génération de la vidéo traduite.
En plus cela vous permet d’avoir la vidéo traduite d’une table que vous affectionné non encore traitée.

The Twentieth release is « Pirates of the Caribbean (Stern 2006) ».
Given the number of videos, we need reinforcements!
If you'd like to help with translations, contact me via private message.
The process is quite simple: I generate a text file of the "raw" French translation of the video.
You correct any AI translation errors in the text file, and I send the corrected translation back to Clideo to generate the translated video.
In addition, this allows you to have a translated video of a table you like that hasn't been processed yet.

Pinball HD Collection (2016) Instruction Cards

Pinball HD Collection is a 2016 Windows port of a collection of tables that seem to have been originally released in 2011 for iPad and iPhone.

Sadly, the developer seems to have dumped the game on Steam and then simply abandoned it: The discussion forums for the game are full of people trying to get hold of them, but they never responded.

The instructions provided in-game unfortunately show the same level of love and care. While most of the tables have detailed descriptions, some have only information about points needed for extra lives (Fantasy, Zombie Attack, Red Planet and Vikings), one has a whole block of text missing (Mafia), and one table has no information at all (Street Racing instead shows the instructions for Wild West).

I've stitched these images together out of original screenshots from the game. (Since my screenshot tools wouldn't capture the game in fullscreen, I had to go to windowed mode, which is why the images are 1906 pixels wide instead of 1920.) Depending on the table, the images had different heights, and rather than editing them further, I left each image in its original height, so you can edit and resize them to fit your own monitor dimensions. You will also need to rename them, so don't see this as a ready-to-use package, but as raw materials for you to tinker with.

One Steam user created a script to launch the games individually from a frontend (there is - of course - no command line option in the original game, but what he came up with is pretty ingenious):

Pirates Life -The Revenge of Cecil Hoggleston (Original 2024) Instruction Cards

Here you will find instruction cards for "Pirates Life: The Revenge of Cecil Hoggleston"

(By the way, RusstyT has informed me in no uncertain terms that it's neither "Pirate's Life" nor "Pirates' Life": By word of author there is NO apostrophe! 😉)

The text and the images are based on RusstyT's rules document provided with the table. Together with him, I worked on a new revision of the rule sheet (Rev 4, August 2025), which formed the basis of these cards.

Since my backglass monitor has a resolution of 1600x1200, that's the resolution of the cards as well. They should display ok on your frontend with black bars on the side - if not, let me know and I can create 16:9 versions as well.

As "Pirates Life: The Revenge of Cecil Hoggleston" comes in four flavors (Desktop/VR and Cabinet, with two different music styles each), I have decided to give the cards a generic name at first and include a handy rename tool. Simply run the "!rename" batch file, choose the table version you have, and it should rename the cards to your table name.
There is no option to rename them back, so either take care or make a copy first 🙂

Also, if RusstyT should ever decide to publish an update (current version as of this writing is v2.0.4), you will have to change the table names in the rename script accordingly.

Primus (Stern 2108) Instruction Card

This is really quick and really dirty, but for my cab it serves its purpose, and maybe someone else can find a use for it as well...

Apparently there are no clean images of the Stern Primus table's instruction cards to be found anywhere on the internet. Even though the table is essentially a reskinned "Whoa Nellie", from what I could decipher on the handful of low-rez images I found, some of the words were different.
Luckily, a 2018 article (https://www.kineticist.com/post/primus-pinball-revealed-interview-with-zoltron-and-zombie-yeti) actually quoted the whole text of the card, so I exported the VPX table's apron image, enlarged it, and just pasted the text over the image. Like I said, it's not pretty, but it's readable, and until someone takes a proper picture or does some fancy AI enlargement, this is what I'll use.

Since my backglass is 1600x1200, that's the size I used, but the card is in 16:9 format, so crop and resize as you see fit.

Incidentally, the preview image should be the same as the download, so you can just right-click and save that without hurting your download quota.
