"Ride The Boney Beast!"

VPW proudly present a table that'll keep you up!

This started about a year ago when Sixtoe got hold of a playfield scan of Scared Stiff and decided to follow through on a long time promise he'd made to make a series of "how to vpx" videos showing how to build a table totally from scratch.

VPW How To VPX on Youtube

It's one mcarter78's favorite tables, so he started to build it in the toolkit and got hold of some of the toys to scan them, Tomate came in to finish the blender side of things, and Apophis came on board to sort out some script things and add the VR bells and whistles.

Cyberpez built a new 3D backglass and Tomate made a new 3D spider for it.

During building it Sixtoe found a bug in VPX and Niwak fixed it, so now all of the flashers work properly and fade nicely now PWM is implemented properly (you'll need a recent-ish vpinmame for this!), and we think you'll enjoy the lightshow :)

Check out all the options in the F12 menu, which includes the latest and greatest of everything VPW has to offer. Enjoy!

thank for another great table

I kept meaning to write this...

This is an amazing table. I still enjoy Party Monsters better overall even though SS had more depth to it. But the work put into this table...when I took pics to show my friends, they seriously thought I had bought a real table. The lighting and models are incredible. The "Bony Beast" ramp is a WOW and the physics are top-notch. No more random drains or unfair bounces. If you drain, you'll know why. It's fair this time.

I can actually shoot around and hit targets I want, which is more than I can say for other versions of the table.

This version has brought back my desire to play it, much like The Walking Dead.

It's an incredible work of art, as always from this team. Between this, Creature, and T-Zone, I feel spoiled.

Thank you so much.

Scared Stiff was one of the first tables I latched onto when my vpin obsession snuck up behind me and put me in a stranglehold. Mikcab's version has been in regular rotation from the start and my local arcade even acquired an immaculate version in perfect working order so I'm quite familiar with how this one should look and play. Somehow, VPW just released a table that blows the real thing out of the water. It plays perfectly, as you can always expect from VPW, but...those visuals! 🤯 My jaw hit the floor the moment I jumped into VR. I've repeatedly found myself getting lost in the graphical splendor to the point that I forget how to use flippers XD This is the table I would show off to someone trying out vpin for the first time. This is digital sorcery at its finest! Stop reading and download~ VPW and friends, thank you for all you do. I genuinely can't thank you enough ❤️

Top notch table. Simply amazing. Build tutorial on this table is also on point and super appreciated.

Response from the author:

Thank you, I did hope the build tutorial would be a useful resource for someone :)

It's hard to vision it getting better than this. Thanks so much.

Such a perfect release before Hallow... Summer! I never gave the previous Scared Stiff vpx releases much attention. But this is literary a whole new ballgame. Everything about this table is just AWESOME! The lighting, the graphics,  the flow,  the sassy Elvira callouts.  I've grown an addiction to hitting that crate for those sweet jackpots. As always, terrific work done by the pinballgods at @VPinWorkshop  You guys truly work your tables to PERFECTION. Also big creds to @hauntfreaks for his amazing updated and  interactive backglass. Make sure you also download the color dmd by @dtatane a true cherry on the pie! Thank you!!!!

Once again an absolute stunner coming from the masters of virtual pinball. It looks really good with a ton of attention to all the playfield elements. The frogs jumping up is so funny to see. Lighting, sounds and physics are all top notch. This table is such a joy to play. Thanks for all the incredible work.

Yet another top notch release from some of the best creators in the hobby.  Can't thank you enough for all the hours and dedication you all put in that makes the hobby great.  Gorgeous table and plays great in my cabinet.  Don't forget to check out Hauntfreaks updated B2s as well.

Gorgeous! What a looker!

It plays really well too with great physics. The 3D models (those skulls in the background 👀 , that spine ramp wow!), the light effects and great PWM flashing effects really bring this alive.

Thank you to all the VPW team members for the hard work on this gem of a recreation.

Looks and plays great, both physics and performance-wise. I really appreciate the cabinet mode as well with great looking side blades, and the lighted dead heads skulls in the back right corner!
