Love Never Dies

They say you are a man of good... eh... taste.... (you must be because you are here). We very proudly present this killer of a table. It was built from the ground up, with new scans of the playfield, plastics, and sculpts. The ramps are based on numerous measurements from the real table. If you are feeling brave, check out the original VR room. Includes the latest and greatest of everything VPW has to offer. Enjoy!

VPW TEAM

  • FrankEnstein - 3D modeling and rendering. Blood sucking.
  • Apophis - Scripting, physics, VR rooms and associated trickery. Blood bathing.
  • Sixtoe - Table building and research. Bloody hell.
  • Stavcas - Initial table build and coding. Blood donating.
  • Schlabber34 - 3D models of the ramps. Blood chilling.
  • Kevv - 3D scans of the sculpts, numerous measurements and photos of real machine. Bleeder.
  • DGrimmReaper - Initial VR minimal room work. Blood letting.
  • HauntFreaks - Backglass image and supporting b2s. Blood tasting.

This is again an incredible table from the VPW team. The love and dedication of the team shines through in the end product. It is visually super impressive, and recreates the mood this table created when I played it many years ago in a dark bar perfectly. Of course physics and sound are the best you can get in VPX today.

That mist multiball remains one of the coolest features in pinball :)

Amazing recreation.

The optimisation is what impressed me the most, as i can play 4k and 200% supersampling (with pup pack,altsound,b2s,dof, etc) and the fps holding tight even the 0,1fps low.

So cpu usage and gpu usage is minimal even if the physics and lighting are the best out there.

I wish this kind of optimisation could come to older game, yes im looking at you Cactus Canyon, Blood Machine and iron Maiden.

I understood, from this latest masterpiece, that vpw team has the philosopher's stone, because every table it touches turns to gold. Amazing job.

[The following is ghostwritten by an attendant still able to withstand the sun.  Great care has been taken to preserve the words of the master before his slumber...]

"Everlasting love!  I have been bitten.  Alas, I shall never drink wine (which is a shame, because a nice red pairs really well with this table).

Although I have played the physical pin on location I've never really been drawn to this table because I'm more of a '70's solid state pin-head myself.  But (and in the words of someone else, "it's a big round full-bodied but") this table is an absolute gem to play and to behold.  And this version brings parity with the physical pin.  I love the attention to detail in the playfield and plastics re-creations, the mechanisms esp. the mist magnet details, and the lighting - simply gorgeous.  I fired this up before dawn this morning and just let it do its thing on attract mode.  The sun had not yet risen, and my arcade room was awash in crimson.  It was reminiscent of a magenta sunrise - how few have I seen in as many centuries.

I was saved at the last minute from the impaling rays of the cruel sun by a trusted companion who dared to try to pull me away from the mesmerizing artwork that is this table."

VPW strikes again! With fangs this time. Boy did they do this table justice. This is a hard table. Took me a bit to get the hang of it, but once you get the hang of it it's very addicting.

The table has been recreated meticulously, it's a beautiful total package. I also love the colored DMD and the beautiful atmospheric VR room.

Amazing job! I love the settings for GI colors and glass dirt. It makes this even more complete than before! It plays super, physics are spot on. It looks magnificent.  I'll be playing this one a lot.

I read this one took about 2 years? It shows true craftsmanship takes time. And this table sure show craftsmanship. It's a stunner!

Mark-PinHead

Very cool table, love the physics and graphics, thanks! 💕

...but the DOF isn't working for me, no solenoids etc. Is there something I should be setting?

Tikimaster

This is one of the handful of tables that are absolute classics, but of which there is no example without any bugs in VP. I'm really pleased to be able to cross one of the must-have tables off this list. Presented in the usual professional manner, this is one of VPW's highlights of the year.
In case anyone is reading this: I'm still missing Medieval Madness and Creature of the Black Lagoon from this wonderful team. But who knows... sometimes wishes come true faster than you think...

A magnificent masterpiece - I have no words

I used to play this on TPA and never really got into it but after playing a couple of games on this I'm completely hooked - everything is perfect.  Love the effect of the ball that moves across the playfield and all the F12 options are incredible

thank you VPW -- you smashed it yet again
