A version of Elektra VPX was originally done by 32assassin and artwork by Fancisco666.  However in this release, images of the playfields and plastics were obtained off the web, and upscaled and cleaned up by redbone.  Since the hole placements were different, there was lots of effort to move, resize, and edit most of all the elements.

This is a really fun table to play... as it was the first pinball machine that had three different levels to it.

Included in this Version 2.0 is Hybrid VR/desktop/cabinet modes, new upscaled playfields, VPW physics, flipper tricks, dynamic shadows, Fleep sounds, Lampz, 3D inserts, new baked general illumination lighting, sling corrections, drop and stand-up targets, saucers, playfield meshes, various primitives, etc.  Significant time was spent on researching online videos, to ensure accuracy of shots, ball drops, kickouts, and overall playability.  I also created a desktop backglass with a cool lighting effect, as well as the VR backglass and other VR options. There are also some performance improvements, and I added a playfield mesh for the playfield, so there's a realistic bevel in the saucers.

I would like to thank redbone for the graphics help, and Tomate for working the 4 ramps into blender with collision and textures.  He also baked them in as well.  And thank you to iaakki for baking in all the GI lighting and shadows.  It looks so relistic!!  And I would additional like to thank the VPW team for testing and feedback, especially Apophis, PinStratsDan, Sixtoe, BountyBob, TastyWasps, leojreimroc, and Bord.

There are several options in the script.  Including VR, ball brightness, and LUT lighting options.  The LUT changes are done by holding cntl (or left mangasave) and then while holding, scroll through the options with the right magnasave.  The Dip Switch settings are done in the script and are hardcoded.  IF... you want to change them, there's a setting in the script to manually override that, and then use F6 during gameplay to bring up the Dip Switch setting.

This is a hybrid table done in VPX 10.74, and I have code in here to automatically choose between VR, desktop, and cabinet.   Additional VR options in the script include two VR environments, a VR clock, a topper, posters, and settings for dynamic shadows if you experience a performance hit.

Thanks again to Redbone, Tomate, iaakki, and the VPW team!

There are two great b2s's out there... one by Wildman (https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/4963-elektra-bally-1981/), and one by Hauntfreaks if you would like the full dmd version (https://vpuniverse.com/files/file/12470-elektra-bally-1981-prototype-b2s-with-full-dmd/).  I used Wildman's image in the VR backglass.

Today UnclePaulie now has his own wheel on my system, he should have a while ago, but he does now!

Thanks for another wonderful table sir!

One of the best playing VPX tables from the 1980's. Everything is done properly, from the VR, to the SSF/the physics/the graphics/playfield. The quality is up there with the VPW/Bord/Flupper tables, just amazing work UnclePaulie-team. Thanks!

Fantastic, especially in VR where the playfield levels are more noticeable...and the table plays perfect!! Thanks

Been hoping this one would get "the goods!" Such a cool, unique table. I haven't played this version yet but UnclePaulie's reputation precedes him, and I know it will be great. Thanks in advance!

I own the real pin and you did an incredible job recreating it. Well Done and thank you your hard work! 😎

Fantastic recreation!  This is such a tough table to play, the shots are tight, but such is pinball.  Thanks for this, and in VR this is a really beautiful table to play!

Excellent, excellent vpx conversion from the light to the physics.

It's a beautifull table, and i'm actually addicted to it right now despite finding this table incredibly difficult for my skill level.

The first and only  table that piss me off.

I'm usually very cool and don't mind losing but this one... i play in desktop mode and my desk has taken numerous hits...

I learned the rules and i am nowhere NOWHERE near having a multiball, it's insane and totally got on my nerve...but for now i'm still playing it.

Thanks (i suppose 😓 ) to UnclePaulie and everyone involved in this vpx conversion's masterpiece.

Edit : oups due to watching an erronous tutorial video wrongly stated that 6 elecktra units were needed instead of 10 to play the lower playfield sorry !

Awesome table, great stuff @UnclePaulie (as usual) - thank you very much! 😉

But the rules aren't easy, I need some times to learn it! 😂

Desktop mode, HD 1920x1080, VPX 10.7.4 beta (x86).

After trying out UnclePaulie's Fathom table, I was thoroughly impressed. UnclePaulie's back catalog of pinball tables has proven to be a delightful journey. Each table I've tried has been a faithful reconstruction, boasting exceptional physics and a Hybrid dynamic system that allows seamless switching between Cabinet and VR modes without the need to toggle the table script. It's nothing short of miraculous.

One aspect that stands out about UnclePaulie's work is the attention to detail in faithfully recreating these classic pinball tables. The graphics and design elements are top-notch, capturing the essence of the original tables. The ball physics are incredibly realistic, adding to the immersion and challenge of each game.

As I continue to explore UnclePaulie's pinball creations, I can't help but be excited about setting up a playlist dedicated to these fantastic tables. I highly recommend giving UnclePaulie's work a try. You won't be disappointed."

hi @UnclePaulie

This is among the best Bally recreations I've ever played.  I like the lighting LUT effects, table play, graphics and physics options.  I feel like it looks and play better than real table I've played years ago.  Thank you so much!

Sincerly,

Wow super impressive as always Uncle P - bringing this project together must have took a while, it was worth it! Everything looks great and plays amazing - even though I still cant figure out how to get playing on the lower playfield :P

Thanks for some hours of fun!

Response from the author:

Thanks!  You need to get at least 10 elektra units built up.  Then once your ball drains, it starts lower playfield play.  You can get elektra units by hitting the flashing blue stand ups on the left.  Or having the captured ball hit the 3 target twice on the upper playfield.

UnclePaulie did an amazing job to make this table feel alive with the well implemente nfozzy flipper physics and precise tuning of each shot. It also looks stunning, which just makes it a pleasure to play.
