    Sorcerer (Williams 1985) - Loading

    By cerebusk

    Format: 1080p

I never played this game back in the 1980s, but it triggers a weird sense of nostalgia for me because the artwork feels like playing D&D back then, or at least reading Dragon magazine.

This video is built from the game's backglass.  The audio is Bach's Fugue in G minor BWV 578, played by an organist named Ton Koopman, plus two audio samples from the game's ROM.

This video is built from the game's backglass plus a video clip from a 1980's VHS tape called "Skateboard Superstunts".  The audio is also from the VHS tape.

This video is built from the game's backglass, plus a generated star field and some color-matched Boris FX lightning bolts.  The audio is from the game's ROM.

Star Gazer (Stern 1980) - Loading

    By cerebusk

    Format: 1080p

This video is built from the game's art plus some stock footage plus some compositing that is probably more complicated than is necessary given that I am a DaVinci Resolve hack.  The audio is a stock piece called "Gypsy Stepping."

    Sheriff (Gottlieb 1971) - Loading

    By cerebusk

    Format: 1080p

This game uses the same artwork as "Lawman", which I have already done a video for.  However, the "Sheriff" logo was not as easy to pull apart as the one for "Lawman", so this video uses different animation.

This is another game that has graphic elements that are hard to animate, so I didn't try.  The video is made from the game's logo plus some stock audio and video.

The video is made from the game's backglass with the people modified slightly so they fit better on a 16:9 aspect screen.  The audio is a few simple horn stabs.

Strange World (Gottlieb 1978) - Loading

    By cerebusk

    Format: 1080p

This video is made from an extreme closeup of the game's backglass.  The audio is from the not-at-all-period-appropriate song "Strange World" by Fallulah, but somehow fits anyway.

It was hard to pull any elements for animating out of the backglass of this game, so I opted to use the logo and a bit of stock footage with a similar color theme.  The audio is pulled from a meme that through the Mandela Effect is remembered as being part of "2001:A Space Odyssey", but really isn't.  If I understand correctly, the audio is  actually from "2010: The Year We Make Contact".  Wherever it's from, it seems appropriate for this game and this video.
