  1. Custom Glass Overlay images for DMDExt 2.x

    Enjoy a sampling of Glass overlay images to use with the latest DMD Extensions.

    If you're not a big fan of the broken, chipped and cracked versions that ship with the tool; have a look at some of these examples and feel free to use them any way you like. Nothing profound here just a little image editing and cleaning up around the edges.

    Requires the latest DMDExt as of writing which is Freezy's Amazing 2.2.0

    I know not everyone is keen on jacking with their DMD, but I happen to love being able to make certain tables 'pop' with specific type of glass and color reflections. It adds just enough flair to make the tables unique.

    To use / Installation Instruction
    Simply extract the image files in the archive to your ..\VisualPinball\VPinMAME\DMDext\textures\glasses\ folder. They can either be manually input into the dmddevice.ini as new profiles, or they can be applied via the gui while it's running. [examples attached]

    Right click on a running vDMD and choose 'customize...'. You will be able to select one of these overlay glasses from the appropriate field in the UI, and apply to your table. You may also decide to edit your
    dmddevice.ini and include one of these glasses as part of a preset (examples within the dmddevice.ini inside your vPinMAME folder.). Or, create a brand NEW profile for use with your own creation !

    :Pro-Tip: go into dmddevice.ini and copy the entire block for profile.default, paste it to the very bottom of the file and comment out every line of 'default' with a ; symbol.
    Save this change.
    Now you have a copy of your default in case you mess it up.
    Now, go into a table you want to modify and set it up the way you want with a glass, a frame, colors, whatever.
    On the bottom left you will see you can now 'save' this to a profile. Save it over default, or save it over another profile if you like.
    Close the table and go back into dmddevice.ini
    You will see your changes have been reflected in the block for profile.default. (if thats the profile you chose to save over)
    Now you can rename anywhere it says 'default' to some other name like 'Cool_Williams_Green_Theme' or whatever.
    Go down below and remove all the comments ; from your old default to make it active again.
    Save your dmddevice.ini
    You just created a new dmdext custom profile you can use on any table you want.

    Apologies for the poor res. on a few of the example images as I took these screen shots over a RustDesk session to my vPin Cabinet PC.

    These images may NOT be monetized in ANY way to include their inclusion in any retail or 'for resale' product.

  2. DMDOverlay

    2 screen pinball setup with DMDOverlay
    (only for 2 screen-setup)

    My little tool from 2019 for beautifying the grill of the cabinet supported DMD.

    You can position the DMD on the 2nd screen. You can have nice backglasses on it too.
    But it doesn't look nice, because the DMD is above the backglass or directly on the background.
    DMDOverlay paints a fully customizable grill-image ABOVE the DMD. So the DMD lies under the glass of the grill.
    It's just a visuell effect, it's dicontinued (i'm in vr now), it's for them, you asked for ...

    Have fun!

  3. PinCabView WFS (for Wildfire Studios old pinball games)

    PinCabViewWFS 2.3 by Aubrel (for old Wildfire Studios pinball PC games)

    This patch is free and should remain free.
    Not for commercial uses!!

    I'm happy to release this patch! It will transforme and improve Wildfire Studios pinball PC games and will make them alive again in your virtual pinball cabinet.
    The main goal is to get a pincab view with exported DMD and backglass for Wildfire Studios pinball PC games.

    A "PinCabKeys" option is available in PinCabViewWFS.ini to get full support with standard VPX keyboard keys (used by default)
    DMD's position, size and some shader's options can be set in PinCabViewWFS.ini
    This pack doesn't contain any file of these games and will not modify them at all.

    The pack contains :
    - PinCabViewWFS Launcher by Aubrel
    - PinCabView 2.6 ReShade's shader by Aubrel and Ducon2016 (ArcCabView 2.6 with PINBALL options activated)
    - ArcCabView Custom ReShade 4.9.1 dll by Ducon2016 and Aubrel (ReShadeMod32.dll)
    - dgVoodoo2 2.78.2 dll (ddraw.dll)

    Supported games :
    - Austin Powers Pinball
    - Balls of Steel
    - Devil's Island Pinball
    - Dirt Track Racing Pinball
    - Kiss Pinball
    - Ultimate Gold Pinball

    General download folder :  https://www.mediafire.com/folder/5ttx0loy7lzfy/ArcCabView

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    How to use :
    - Install your game and update it with the last patch.
    https://www.mediafire.com/file/k7ivql1wxp3axua/WFS_Patchs.rar/file
    - Extract PinCabViewWFS in your game directory
    - If needed set PinCabViewWFS.ini "ArcCabView", "PinCabView" and "PinCabView_ADV" as you want.
    - Run the PinCabViewWFS_Launcher.exe to launch your game
    Optionnal : you can send the table name as command to launch it directly, the difficulty level can be sent too as a second parameter (0-3)

    Nota: for pincab users, if the game is not set correctly try to run the launcher as admin a single time.
    - That's all, it should work

    Examples with Balls of Steel :
    "C:\My Balls of Steel Folder\PinCabViewWFS_Launcher.exe"
    Will launch "Ball of Steel"
    "C:\My Balls of Steel Folder\PinCabViewWFS_Launcher.exe" duke
    Will launch directly "Duke Nukem" table with your last difficulty set (the name given should match table's file name, most often ".ddp" file)
    "C:\My Balls of Steel Folder\PinCabViewWFS_Launcher.exe" barbarin 1
    Will launch directly "Barbarian" table in "Regular" mode

    PinCabKeys :
    - "1" (repeat quickly) => 1-4 (add players)
    - "2" => Esc
    - "5" => F11 (add players in most games)
    - "Enter" => Plunger
    - "Shifts" => Flippers
    - "z", "Space", "/" => Nudges

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    Side notes :
    - To use different keys, disable "PinCabKeys" in PinCabViewWFS.ini and set them as you want in the game menu.
    - The Windows DPI-Scale setting for high resolutions should be the same for all your screens.
    - In most cases you won't be able to use Reshade's UI ("home" key ingame) because unfortunately the mouse is locked ingame...
    - A desktop mode and a few shader's options are available and can be set directly in PinCabViewWFS.ini
    - InGame Ratio is set and locked to 9:16 if you want to get the game displayed in full size on your screen, you can use Full_Stretch option in PinCabViewWFS.ini
    - You can run the game with your screen set in Landscape or Portrait mode, the result should be the very same.
    - Some launcher settings won't be applied if the game is run as administrator (or if your account is set as "super administrator" on W7).
    In this case you will have to set yourself the game in "single screen" (scrolling off) and the DMD size ingame using F10 key. It will be saved for next time.
    (difficulty level sent by command line won't work neither in this case...)
    If you will always use the game with PinCabview launcher, try to launch it one time as admin (it will set the game at best directly)

  4. PinCabView (for Pro Pinball, Addiction Pinball, Slamtilt Resurrection games)

    PinCabView 4.3 by Aubrel

    This patch is free and should remain free.
    Not for commercial uses!!

    I'm happy to release this patch! It will transform completely some old PC pinball games and make them alive again in virtual pinball cabinets.
    The main goal is to get a pincab camera view with exported DMD and backglass for these Pinball games:
     - Pro Pinball : The Web (1995 - 1.50p - CD)
     - Pro Pinball : Timeshock! (1997 - 1.07 / 1.20 - CD/GOG)
     - Pro Pinball : Big Race USA (1998 - 1.18 / 1.19 / 1.20b - CD/GOG)
     - Pro Pinball : Fantastic Journey (1999 - 1.07 / 1.20b - CD/GOG)
     - Addiction Pinball : Worms Pinball (1998 - CD / Steam)
     - Addiction Pinball : World Rally Fever (1998 - CD)
     - SlamTilt Resurrection : Demon (1999 - CD)
     - SlamTilt Resurrection : Pirate (1999 - CD)
    These games are for now the only ones to be used with this Launcher.

    The pack contains :
    - PinCabView Launcher by Aubrel
    - PinCabView 2.6 ReShade's shader by Aubrel and Ducon2016 (ArcCabView 2.6 with PINBALL options activated)
    - ArcCabView Custom ReShade 4.9.1 dll by Ducon2016 and Aubrel (ReShadeMod32.dll)
    - dgVoodoo2 2.78.2 dll (ddraw.dll)
    - dinputto8 by Elisha Riedlinger used for AddictionPinball games
    - OggWinmm.dll by Maximilien Noal used for GOG version of Timeshock

    These Pinball games will be all rotated to portrait mode and will run in your main screen desktop resolution with a Cabinet View.
    If you have more than 1 screen, the backglass and the DMD should exported to the others screens.
    You can launch your games with your main screen set in landscape or portrait mode: the result should be the very same.
    This patch doesn't contain any files of these games and won't change them at all (it could be reversed by just removing its files)

    As a bonus :
    -The 1600x1200 resolution should be unlocked, working and used by default for BigRaceUSA, FantasticJourney, Timeshock, Demon and Pirate.
    -All the Timeshock options should be always unlocked in the menu operator.
    -The BGM of the GOG version of Timeshock should be mostly fixed (still a few bugs but really improved).
    -A standard "coin" mode is now available for the 4 Pro Pinball games (activated by defaut, your clasic game save will be preserved and used when the option is disabled)
    -An improved desktop mode is available too with multi screens support too.
    -Inputs are improved and standardized, game configuration is set at best.
    If you are using standard VPX keyboard keys, some patches are activated by default to bring you native full support with the default game layouts.

    General download folder :  https://www.mediafire.com/folder/5ttx0loy7lzfy/ArcCabView

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    - The launcher will try to find itself the game exe file.
    The 4 ProPinball games (gog and latest cd ones), Worms Pinball (Steam and CD), Addiction Pinball (CD) and SlamTilt Resurrection (CD) should be identified directly if the exe names are still the original ones.
    (no-cd patched exe should work but often the BGM is removed with them so if you don't have any CD drive it's better to mount the cd image before launch and it's the best way for Timeshock BGM)

    - If you have a 2 screens configuration, the backglass will be displayed on it.
        * If your backglass screen is approx 4:3 (ratio < 1.6) the grill will be displayed and the DMD will be put in it.
        * If your backglass screen is approx 16:9 (ratio > 1.6) the grill will be cut and the DMD will be displayed by default in this case in the bottom of the backglass.
        /!\ In this case (16:9 backglass screen and no real 3rd screen)
            - You can change the DMD size and position in PinCabView.ini to put it where you want (DMDPositionX/Y are the DMD top left corner coordonates).
        * If your 2nd monitor is only designed to the DMD and you don't have anything for the backglass, you can set "DMDOnly=1" and also the DMD size/position as needed in PinCabView.ini

    - If you want the DMD to be still displayed on the table screen, you can set "KeepTableDMD=1" in PinCabView.ini to get it back on the table screen.

    - If you have a 3rd screen (and a 16:9 backglass), the DMD will be displayed on it in full screen size by default.
        If it doesn't match your needs, you can change the DMD size and position in PinCabView.ini to put it where you want (DMDPositionX/Y are the DMD top left corner coordonates).
        /!\ The launcher will try to define your BackGlass screen, if it fails (displayed on your DMD Screen for example) you can force your Backglass screen number with "BGScreenNbr" in PinCabView.ini (you will have to set the true Window's screen number...)

    - With All games the view, the DMD type, size and position will be forced, an apron will be added when needed and the best visuals quality and resolution will be set.
    For BigRaceUSA, FantasticJourney, Timeshock and SlamTilt Resurrection, the resolution 1600x1200 should be unlocked and used even if your machine don't support it (it's safe).

    - Now for "The Web" the view, the best resolution (1024x768@32) and the best visual settings will be set.
    If the view selected was 1 to 3 or if you have a single screen configuration, the DMD will be kept in the top of table area.
    If the view selected is 4 or more and if you have an other screen for the DMD, the DMD won't be displayed in the table area.
    (But unfortunately the visual quality of the table will be still better with the view 1 and the DMD kept on the table...)

    - If you want to play in Desktop mode (standard lanscape) you can use the launcher to get the improved features. Just set "Desktop=1" in PinCabView.ini.
    If you have a second screen the backglass will be displayed on it and same for the DMD Most launcher improvements and features will still be applied.
    you can set the ratio as needed using the Table Zoom option in ReShade's UI (home key ingame)

    - How these 4 Pro Pinball, Addiction Pinball and SlamTilt Resurrection games are made is not friendly for our pincab inputs.
    I did a patch to set them to use all the standard VPX keys and to be able to navigate in the menu with the Shift(flippers) and Ctrls(MagnaS). Just use "PinCabKeys=1 in PinCabView.ini (enabled by default)
    With "PinCabKeys" everything is set to be used with the defaut game layout, so if you changed it you will probably have to restore the default keys in the options and restart the game (joystick input are not supported, but you can use joy2key or anything else)

    - If you want play the 4 ProPinball games with standard "credit/coin" mode you can set PPCoinMOD=1 in PinCabView.ini (activated by default). Coin key will be keyboard "5"

    - You can acces some options in Reshade's UI using "home" key but most of them are set by the launcher and shouldn't be changed.
    You can still use it to set the brightness of the table, the backglass, the DMD and the POV factor as you want!
    If you have made a mistake, just extract again this pack over and overwrite. Everything should be reversed to default.

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    How to use :
    - Extract the full archive in your game directory (same directory as your main game exe). Your game exe name should be the original one (not renamed).
    - For the supported games you have to use the launcher "PinCabViewLauncher.exe" included to launch your game
    - If needed set PinCabView.ini "PinCabView" and "PinCabView_ADV" options as explain above depending on your configuration
    - That's all, it should work

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    Side notes :
    - DirectX11 hardware is recommanded (DirectX10 should be working but it won't work on Windows XP or with an old DirectX9 graphic card)
    - To play Worms Pinball table using Addiction Pinball game, you have to send the command "WP" or "Worms" to the launcher at start (both games are not supported in the same time when not in desktop mode).
    - Quick launch (games start directly) is now always activated when not launched in desktop mode.
    - The quick launch won't be activated for the 1st start (BigRaceUSA,FantasticJourney,Timeshock). But it will be used after if the game has been properly closed at least one time.
    - Desktop users can send "-q" command to the launcher to start the games directly too (not 1st start for the 3 games listed above)
    - With SlamTilt Resurrection, Demon table in 3D view is launched by default. You can send "Pirate" to the launcher to launch directly Pirate table instead ( you can also send the command "2D" if you want the 2D view).
    - SlamTilt Resurrection's 3rd view (scrolling 3D) is not supported.
    - The Windows DPI-Scale setting for high resolutions should be the same for all your screens.
    - In any case the playfield will be displayed in your main screen. It won't work if you set your backglass as main screen.
    - Nudge visual feedback is broken with this patch (graphic glitches) and so it has been disabled for all 8 games.
    - The launcher won't work with Timeshock Ultra Edition nor any other games than the 8 supported ones

    PinCabKeys :
    - "1" or "F1" => "Start" (repeat to get multi-players)
    - "1" => "Yes" (Addiction Pinball games)
    - "2" => "Esc"
    - "5" => "Coin" (Pro Pinball games with PPCoinMOD)
    - "5" => "No" (Addiction Pinball games)
    - "Shift"(s) => "Flippers"
    - "Shift"(s) => "Left"/"Right"
    - "Ctrl"(s) => "Table Select" (SlamTilt Resurrection at table selection screen)
    - "Ctrl"(s) => "Magna-Save"
    - "Ctrl"(s) => "Up"/"Down"
    - "Ctrl"(s) => "View select" (SlamTilt Resurrection at view selection screen)
    - "z" or "LAlt" => "Left Nudge"
    - "Space" => "Front Nudge"
    - "/" or "RAlt" => "Right Nudge"

  5. PinCabView 2D (for old DOS pinball games)

    PinCabView2D 3.3 by Aubrel (for old DOS pinball PC games)

    This patch is free and should remain free.
    Not for commercial uses!!

    I'm happy to release this patch! It will transform completely many old PC pinball games and will make them alive again in your virtual pinball cabinet.
    The main goal is to get a pincab view with exported DMD and backglass for most of the 2D PinballDreams-like PC games.

    A "PinCabKeys" option is available in PinCabView2D.ini to get full support with standard VPX keyboard keys (used by default)
    DMD's position and size can be set in PinCabView2D.ini

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    How to use :
    - Create a directory and extract the full archive inside.
    - Install your games here in their dedicated folders.
    - Check the "autoexec" part at the end of the config files of the games you own (config files located in PinCabView2D\Configs).
    You can edit a little this "autoexec" part, it should match your game installation. But don't change anything else!
    - If needed set PinCabView2D.ini "ArcCabView", "PinCabView" and "PinCabView_ADV" options
    - Run the launcher "PinCabView2D_Launcher.exe" with the "ConfigName" of the game you want to launch as command (or select in the start UI).
    Optionnal : you can also send the number of the table you want to be launched directly as 2nd parameter.
    - That's all, it should work

    Examples:
    "C:\My Game Folder\PinCabView2D_Launcher.exe" DreamsDx
    Will launch Pinball Dreams Deluxe (gog)
    "C:\My Game Folder\PinCabView2D_Launcher.exe" DreamsDx 3
    Will launch Pinball Dreams Deluxe (gog) and will also launch directly the 3rd table of "Pinball Dreams"
    "C:\My Game Folder\PinCabView2D_Launcher.exe" DreamsDx 6
    Will launch Pinball Dreams Deluxe (gog) and will also launch directly the 2nd table of "Pinball Dreams II"
    (Quicklaunch is not available for : Epic Pinball, Silverball, Silverball 2, Pinball Wizard 2000 and Psycho Pinball, but you can try to add it in PinCabView2D.ini file)

    PinCabKeys :
    - "1" (repeat quickly) => F1-F8 (+Yes)
    - "2" => Esc
    - "5" => No
    - "Enter" => Plunger (+OK)
    - "Shift"s => Flippers (+Directions if needed)
    - "Ctrl"s => Nudges (+Directions if needed)
    - "z", "Space", "/" => Nudges

    ******************************************************************************************************************************************************************************
    Side notes :
    - Some game's resolutions should be set as expected to work :
    *Pinball Illusion should be set in default "VGA 360x350"
    *Thomas The Tank Engine's Pinball should be set in "Small"
    *Absolute Pinbal should be set in "VGA High"
    *SlamTilt options should be kept "Zoom Off" and "DMD Small" (setting forced at game start)
    *Others should be set in "High Res" when available
    - Don't use the launcher to install your games, you can use directly the DOSBox included to do that.
    - To use a different keys mapping, disable "PinCabKeys" in PinCabView2D.ini and set it as you want (Ctrl+F1 ingame with game windowed using Alt+Enter)
    - The Windows DPI-Scale setting for high resolutions should be the same for all your screens.
    - If the "QuickLaunch" command doesn't work correctly, you can try to increase the "TimerSale" option in PinCabView2D.ini (1.5 should be enough in most cases).
    You can now also set the "SleepTime" values as you want and per game in PinCabView2D.ini
    - You can acces some options in Reshade's UI using "home" key but most of them are set by the launcher and shouldn't be changed (check only "User Preferences Settings" section).
    You can still use it to set the brightness of the table, the backglass, the DMD and to activate or not the CRT effect.
    - For most of these DOS game you will have to check if the "autoexec" part at the end of the DOSBox config file is matching your game installation.
    - SlamTilt doesn't run in DOSBox, its DOSBox's config file is a "fake" one only needed to be able to use the same launcher without too much changes.
    - A desktop mode is available (can be activated in PinCabView2D.ini) but to keep the CRT effect you will need a UHD screen ("CRT Effect" can be disabled in ReShade's UI with home key)
    - To work correctly and to avoid unexpected issues please install the games in their dedicated folders in order to match the corresponding config file settings.

  6. BattleStream (Server)

    Have you ever wanted to play your vpin remotely with a friend? Maybe you stream and want to take it to the next level with some battle action? We have you covered!

    Introducing BattleStream Server, a tool that lets you receive the playfield and DMD of another player remotely, and then display them within OBS. You don't even have to download or install OBS, as the client includes a portable version of the application. Instructions are included, and myself and GameClubCentral will support you the best we are able. I have attached a sample of what the streamer will see here before adding a client in, but it is super easy to use, and if you are ambitious, you can have up to 4 players join at once!

    This uses the RTMP protocol, and you will need to forward for 1935 on your router to allow the stream in. I will add a standard BattleStream OBS layout later this week for you guys so you have a nice template and you can swap out backgrounds between games.

    HUGE thank you to the following for helping us get this developed and out the door:

    - Nailbuster (Coding and putting up with me)
    - PaladinArcade
    - Joe Picasso (Providing a layout template)

  7. BattleStream Client

    Welcome ballers, it's time to rumble! This software allows ANYONE to send their playfield and DMD over RTMP protocol to another player using the BattleStream Client. The client application is just a portable version of OBS, and instructions are included in the zip.

    Fire it up, add in your friend's IP address, and hit Start!

    This product is supported by myself and the community members at GameClubCentral, and we will do our best to help you get things moving for you.
