luvthatapex Posted October 12, 2013 Posted October 12, 2013 ok Star Trek works for sure with this one. Off to testing!
Administrators Dazz Posted October 12, 2013 Administrators Posted October 12, 2013 I played a lot of Star Trek today... probably 50 games or so. There is definitely some issues with the code. The main glaring bug I saw was that during the after ball bonus tally the diag icons show instead of the bonus.
mountaingamer Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 This is a very cool read - I think I understand most of it. Looking forward to where this goes!
luvthatapex Posted October 13, 2013 Posted October 13, 2013 Well Star Trek will be interesting. Preliminary tests show there are 3 lamps for each of the RGB color changing inserts (8 inserts). I imagine they will use 7 or 8 colors (based on TRON LE), so we will need 7 or 8 images for each insert. Now if they use more colors than 8 we'll need more insert images.... Cool that they finally using more RGB LEDS. I hear the LE/PREMIUM models will have 60.
Content Provider arngrim Posted October 13, 2013 Content Provider Posted October 13, 2013 cool ok i managed to compile vpinmame for pindmd2 , but I need to update some code somewhere to enable pindmd for SAM, I couldn't find what and where yet. if someone can facilitate me to find what to change, Snotz? Destruk? RussDX? Deegor?

GeXXXy Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 at long last sam tables are finally available i didn't think it would ever come to be. truly a great time for pinball
dboyrecords Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Now that I'm using the sam dll instead of cab dll all of my dmds have moved and won't stay in place. Any suggestions?
boogies2 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I have the pinDMDv1 and the DMD isn't working. When I try the cab version, it doesn't read the registry setting for the location (x and y coordinates) and when I am using the DMDv1 version it does read the coordinates. Neither version is running the DMD - I have the ShowPinDMD = 1 in the registry, but it isn't working on SAMs Can anyone verify that there pinDMDv1 is working with SAM? Is there any other steps that adding the DLL and installing? It runs, but it's showing on the monitor, not the DMD
DStruct Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Odd. I can verify that pindmd 2 is working well for me thus far.
jadflat Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 I'm having the same issue with my pindmd v1 Sent from my Nexus 4 using Xparent Cyan Tapatalk 2
Dodger1980 Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Just a short feedback from me. I only copied the two SAM files in the tables and VPMame folder and everything is still running normal. No moving DMD´s and no errors on other tables. Using a 3 screen setup.
dboyrecords Posted October 15, 2013 Posted October 15, 2013 Is there or does there need to be a cab version of samvpinmame like there is for the regular vpinmame? My 2 screen setup is behaving exactly as it did before cab dll.

dboyrecords Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 that is the cab dll with sam added It ain't working for me. I re-downloaded the non-pindmd file, renamed old dll, copied new dll . When I go back, the dmds stay in place. Anyone other 2 screeners have it working?
Content Provider oooPLAYER1ooo Posted October 16, 2013 Content Provider Posted October 16, 2013 once you copy over the dll you need to run the vpinmame setup program again to register com
GeXXXy Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 weird i didn't need to register mine ran straight off the bat
Administrators Dazz Posted October 16, 2013 Administrators Posted October 16, 2013 I've never had to re-register the DLL. I just drop it into my PinMAME folder, unblock it (if on Win7/8, right click on the dll and select UNBLOCK), and all is well. I do normally run the VPinMAME test to make sure the ROM works though.
GeXXXy Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 i didn't have to unblock either running win7 64x
William Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 Does anyone have problems running Indiana Jones. It loads up, the coin button works, but the start button (key 1) doesn't work. That's with the latest rom. I tried renaming it to an older one, but no dice. All other roms work though except for a few LE or Pros, but either one or the other works. (I think I was having problems with the latest The Rolling Stones LE rom.) This is going to be great!!
Content Provider DeeGor Posted October 16, 2013 Content Provider Posted October 16, 2013 There are emulation problems with a few of the Stern tables. Indy is one of them.
luvthatapex Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 All SAM tables are fully working except: Stern Indiana Jones (trough emulation issue) CSI (same trough emulation issue) LE models after TRON (seems that any LE model with an AUX board has a timing issue and lack of support for this additional driver board - XMEN LE, AVENGER LE, TRANSFORMERS LE, ACDC LE, probably Star Trek LE) It must be the AUX board since TRON LE is working fine and is lacking this board. There are emulation problems with a few of the Stern tables. Indy is one of them.
dboyrecords Posted October 16, 2013 Posted October 16, 2013 once you copy over the dll you need to run the vpinmame setup program again to register com UGH! tried install, dmds move back to just above where most go. So I un and reinstalled last samvpinme and same result. What else am I missing? I add border, resize and move dmd, hit f1 and it jumps back up! It keeps the resize not the position.
