This one has been a looong time coming. A few years ago, gtxjoe stripped this mod of a mod down, added fleep sounds and nfozzy physics, dialed in the ramp—basically did all the VPX specific stuff with a special precision and flare only a VPX O.G. long time veteran like gtxjoe could do. Then Benji went on a long hiatus, possibly never to return.

 

Was Police Force to be on-hold forever? That’s what it looked like. But then…

 

Enter Niwak, revolutionizing VPX into the next era. And after seeing what could be done with the new light-baking with Blender Toolkit, Benji had to come back and finish what he started. First, he had to learn Blender. Uh…okay. But that turned out to be doable (with many tips from Tomate, Bord, Flux and more).

 

And with tons of help from this whole bang-up crew—this tool-kitted version of Police Force is finally out in the wild.

 

Special thanks to Jon Osborn who let Benji take apart, photograph, and measure a Police Force pin he was fixing up, which is what got this whole project moving forward.

The lighting on these new releases are so amazing it has me dreaming of Twilight Zone finally being put through the process.  I'm a huge fan of Taxi  and this hits all the same notes for me.  amazing Job to everyone that touched this table in its creation.  the detail and the passion behind getting it right really shows.   I just picked up a beast of a gaming rig to do these tables justice now to get the displays to make it all sing.  right now i'm playing in a 15 year old Mini pin with a 19inch led monitor so I can't wait to see it in 4k high refresh glory.    I love that the creators of these have the same passion and want to see it done right.   makes me giddy to see what is upcoming,  this has all the feels of the video i saw of the Twilight Zone with these lighting mods  i'm biting my nails waiting patiently for that one

YES!  was just looking for this table at the Pinball Hall of Fame in Vegas - haven't seen it anywhere it years!  This table brings back fond memories of skipping class in college and spending afternoons in Pinball Petes with my friends...

Very impressed yet again with this release, it's a gem.  What I'm liking so much is that it is not a cake-walk with several missed of the ramp rightly going in the right outlane due to imprecise shot making on my part.  Looks fantastic, sounds fantastic, plays fantastic. Thanks VPW!

Thanks for sharing this with us. The table looks amazing as usual. The lighting is stunning, especially when it darkens and the flashers go off or the lights are synced with the music and giving a show. Everything is just so well done it brings a smile to my face. It's becoming a favorite of mine. The tunes and call outs are burned in my brain how from many hours of hammering away at this beauty. It's a classic in my collection.
