The less you see, the more you feel.

Never having heard of it, Wylte played the real machine in the wild and was instantly enamored.  It happened to come up a couple months later in a discussion with Lumigado and Dapheni and that very night Wylte added nFozzy’s flipper tricks to Ninuzzu’s excellent recreation.  From there it was supposed to be a very lite upgrade, but Skitso made the lighting look so good that Wylte had to learn every VPW trick (short of a full scan and render) to be worthy of it!  Luckily he took his sweet time and other members were able to hop in and add even more (and fix his rookie mistakes).

After releasing 1.0, Wylte bought the real machine! And then kept tweaking the VPX for a year...

This VPW Table Tune-Up features:  nFozzy physics, Lampz, Flupper flashers, Fleep sounds, Skitso lighting overhaul, 3D inserts, Roth targets, Apophis sling corrections, Rawd & Leojreimroc VR Room and functioning VR backglass, new art assets, new ramp models, physical table mesh, staged flippers, Dynamic Ball Shadows, Fluffhead35 RampRolling sound code.

Project Lead The Specialist – Wylte

Lighting See Me - Skitso, Wylte

Physics Feel Me - Wylte, Apophis

VR Touch Me - Leojreimroc, Rawd, Sixtoe

Fixes Heal Me - Apophis, Sixtoe, Bord, Wylte

Some specific contributions:

Apophis – Flupper flasher domes, physical trough, new slingshot physics, teaching and fixing Wylte’s mistakes

Tomate – New ramps, wood rails

Sheltemke – Playfield and insert cutouts

Sixtoe – Visual holes for targets and rollovers, VR stuff, Lots of fixes

Darkstar – New apron texture

HauntFreaks – New blinder texture, desktop background

Thanks to the original author Ninuzzu The Champ, and contributors:  Franzleo, Freneticamnesiac, Dark, Zany, Javier1515, JPSalas, GTXJoe, Shoopity, and Arngrim.  And thank you to the VPX and pinmame devs!

Sure plays a mean pinball!

I have played this digital version so much, that I have gone blind.

It's become something of an obsession to me.

My wife is tormented by my random outbursts of "Holiday darling!", as are the 2 cats - they don't really have a frame of reference, if I'm honest.

@Wylte - you're.  a.  pinball.  wizard.  I can't tell you how amazing this table is, and how much I absolutely adore it, because I am dumbstruck.  This table is an absolute work of art and I am so thankful to you and the rest of the VPW team who worked to create such a feast for the senses.  Although I have never seen this table in the wild, my gosh does it feel like a physical pin!  It is immediately apparent that this recreation is a labor of love, and to think that Wylte bought the physical pin and tuned this to perfection is such a gift to this community.

To all VPW Pinball Wizards involved in this alchemy, and from Soho down to Brighton, I say bravo and thank you!

I haven't been able to find this in the wild myself, so, you kind of have to put your trust on vpx to give you a good experience. I had many problems hitting the upper ramp on the previous releases. On this it feels much more like what I would expect and all of a sudden Tommy became very enjoyable.

Come to expect a facelift when it has gone through the VPW discord and you guys did not disappoint. Looks great too !

Personally, I recommend the 400 rom. I've seen very odd things happening when 500 has been in use.

Thanks a bunch guys !

Thank you Wylte and all the colleagues at the VPW underground bunker !

Great release. I love this table.

Graphics, Physics, table sounds, all done in a superb way.

The Altsound is highly recommended.

Thank you 🙂👍

I would have never thought that I would like this table as much as I do. But, it is absolutely in my top 10 favorite tables for VPX- it  looks great, sounds great and plays great. What more can you ask? Combine this with the Color dmd and alt sound and it is fantastic. Thank you to everyone that has pushed this table to the top. Also appreciate Wylte for the last couple tweaks  getting it as close to the original as possible.

Holy s*** this game is incredibly well done.  Amazing everything.  From a traditional pinball convert, the line has been officially blurred. It's insane how lifelike this has become.

I can't even fathom the talent it takes to achieve something of this magnitude.

It's all appreciated more than you all will ever know.

Thank you all.

Been playing the real table a lot lately, and man, did this update nail the emulation! Data East tables are almost universally underrated and this is one of their best. Brilliant work here! Thank you so much. 🎸

Thankyou.

This is an absolute must have table. Perfect gameplay, one of the best playing VPX tables out there.

The original rom sounds are in my opinion better than the alt sounds and are one of the best sounds ever made in pinball history. So I recommend to try the orignal sounds before trying the alt sounds and make your own judgement.

Thanks to all involved !
