  13. More information about "Capersville (Bally 1966) DMD Video"

    Capersville (Bally 1966) DMD Video

    By bobinis

Simple DMD video for @scottacus latest tables.  I am not a graphic designer or video editor.  I made these for my Real DMD in 512x128 which allows for enough detail in the LEDs and probably enough for those with LCDSs.  They were optimized as much as I could to take up the whole DMD. YMMV.

Cycles from Game Logo, Year, to Manufacturer in 10 second intervals.  This allows for me to leave the DMD on during the older EM and SS games without being too distracting.

Thanks to @davadruix for his DMD image

This video is built from elements of the backglass, an upscaled/refinished logo from the flyer, and some stock video.  The audio is real recordings of cheetahs.

Capersville (Bally 1966) - Loading Video

    By cerebusk

    Format: 1080p

Ok, so I will admit this one got away from me a little.  I read that the art for this machine was inspired by Alphaville, a 1965 sci-fi/mystery movie directed by Jean-Luc Godard, so I created a 15-second loading video homage to the movie based on the art from the machine's backglass and playfield.  Unfortunately, this version of the video doesn't work very well on my cabinet, because the game loads too fast.

The tone of the video is also a little weird and stilted for a pinball machine.  There's probably a reason that French New Wave Cinema didn't have a lasting impact on pinball machines.

So I recommend that most people download the version marked "short" as it will probably fit the intended purpose better most of the time.  It maintains some of the rhythm of the longer version, but gets to the title screen quicker.

The audio in the long version is extracted from a scene in the movie.  If you are interested in seeing the whole scene, search for "Alphaville - What is Love?" on YouTube.

I helped Epe. C out with some texture work for his table release.
From that materials I could creat these higher resolution wheels.
