VPinWorkshop Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 View File Flash Gordon (Bally 1981) VPW Mod Emperor Ming Awaits! Prepare for the VPW Mod of the fantastic Flash Gordon 2.0 created by rothbauerw and bord — true saviors of the universe whose powers rival even the Hawkmen themselves. For this update, the table has been amped up with a full visual refresh utilizing the power of the blender toolkit. Materials gleam brighter than the lightning fields of Mongo, lighting has been tuned with all the drama of a space-opera spotlight, and inserts now pop like a proper technicolor showdown. Much of bord’s original Blender work remains proudly woven into the build. On the gameplay front, the physics have been updated in collaboration with rotherbauerw, incorporating his latest refinements since the previous release. The soul is still here — just with more heroic momentum behind every shot. So, tighten your gauntlets, summon your inner stadium-chant energy, and step boldly into the arena — FLASH! rkader Posted December 2, 2025 Posted December 2, 2025 (edited) Hello team. Another stellar release. Just 2 things I have to note: - is AgX the default by choice or was it overlooked? I ask because usually it is Reinhard though AgX seems to give the older look I like. Just pointing it out because I think world cup soccer had the same "issue". - will there be an option for minimal room or no room at all? Even on an overclocked rtx3080 It's 40fps less which means no 144Hz on my valve index. (meanwhile I've modified the table options in the script to disable the room too) Edited December 3, 2025 by rkader identified my vr headset

I also don't have VR and don't need it eating up my bandwidth TIA
rkader Posted December 3, 2025 Posted December 3, 2025 @GraveDIf you don't have VR there's no problem. because VRRoom is not loaded.
mrtr32 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 (edited) Thanks VPW Teams for this awesome table ! 😀 The Apron Credit light is always on. Is it intentional? I'm using VPX 10.8.0 Edited December 5, 2025 by mrtr32
robertwallace Posted December 9, 2025 Posted December 9, 2025 My problem: credits not displayed on backglass I was concerned that the credit display on the backglass was blank. I tried several backglasses with the same result, so I turned to the game code. Turns out there's a dipswitch setting (F6 menu) to turn it on or off. Mine was off, which seems a strange default setting. However, I installed this VPW version over Rothbauerw's version, so perhaps a mis-matched nvram was the culprit...
Genius Posted January 2 Posted January 2 Thank you so much for this release. I have what is likely a dumb question. In the Tables folder, there is a zipped file (Addams Family, Revised Slamt1lt Edition 1.02, 3 Monitor Cabinet) that contains BMP, Models, and TGA folders. Am I supposed to add this/these folders somewhere. I have already added the fpt file. Thanks a lot for your help.

The zipped file is a Future Pinball version of Addams Family, which has nothing to do with this Flash Gordon table by VPW. Sounds like a stray file left over from another table download, safe to delete if you had already installed the FP table.

You will find this table at the link below. To answer your question, the zip file is needed and is explained in the Instruction PDF file that is included in the download. It says: The *.zip file contains several important files, including: 1. A color DMD file 2. A model of the ball with 1K polygons (required for FizX) 3. A file that prevents Future Pinball's splash screen from displaying during table loading 4. The file also has some files for a custom ball that Slamt1lt created. It has reflections from the table that are very subtle. You may not notice any difference in appearance from the default ball. Do not unzip the file. Save it with the same name as the table and place it in the folder as shown below: C:\Games\Future Pinball\Addams Family, Revised Slamt1lt Edition 1.02, Standard.fpt C:\Games\Future Pinball\Addams Family, Revised Slamt1lt Edition 1.02, Standard.zip

Thanks for the information regarding the file.
Crakkers Posted March 18 Posted March 18 That top flipper certainly has a noticeable lag. Apparently I'm not the only one who has noticed this, but is it the same for everyone....and is there any way to fix it?
