Earthshaker (Williams 1989) VPW

GIMME SHELTER!

Prepare to shake, rattle, and roll your way through the epicenter of VPW's latest masterpiece, Earthshaker!  Created by Bally/Williams in 1989 and designed by the seismic duo of Pat Lawlor and Larry Demar, this System 11 pin is a timeless classic.  Break out your Richter scale of fun as VPW is ready to rock your world.

The main objective of Earthshaker is to complete the Earthquake Institute's prediction for today. The predicted zones are lit in the windows of the building toy and to complete each prediction you must visit the lit earthquake zones;

-Zones 1, 2, 3, and 4 are the standup targets

-Zone 5 is the eject hole

-Zone 6 is the loop under the Fault Zone (CA/NV)

-Zones 7 and 8 are the right and left return lanes

-Zone 9 is the captive ball

Once you complete all the predicted zones, a lock is enabled and the bonus multiplier increases! Lock your first ball up the right ramp or in the drop hole. Then lock your second ball up the right ramp, plunge your third ball, and your MULTIBALL will begin!

This tribute to one of pinball's best machines wouldn't exist without the immense talent from VPW and its support.  I may be listed as the project lead, but the true credits go to "tremor-ific" expertise of Apophis, Tomate, Sixtoe, UnclePaulie, TastyWasps, Bord, Benji, Oqqsan, rothbauerw, Fliptronic, Niwak and our quake-tested testers PinStratsDan, Cliffy, Lumi, Darth Vito, Studlygoorite, jarr3, somatic, DGrimmReaper, and Bietekwiet.  Building upon the original works of 32Assassin, I hope you look at the names above and realize how much hard work was done here.  Truly, thank you everyone.     - Friscopinball

So, get your flippers warmed up and get ready to feel like you're right in the middle of a fault line, Earthshaker is the aftershock you've been waiting for.

*Secret Bonus:  Check out the amazing Sinking Institute mod that even original owners didn't get with their pin 🙂

I am getting an in game "no pinball" error.... how do I reset?

Sorry, I should have checked the comments rather than the SUPPORT section.  I found the answer.  Upgrade VpinMame fixed it.

I seem to have issues with later VPW tables when it comes to loading them in PinUp Popper for VR. Most tables load normally however newer VPW tables don't seem to work. I do not have this issue manually loading them directly and they work great. Any ideas what could be causing the issue?

Note: I am using the latest versions of VPX 64, VPinmame and B2S Server.

First would like to say this table great and even includes raise and lower target board. Which was dropped from release of real table but available as mod for real machine now (A work of art in it's self).

My problem is an odd one and is the same on Guns N Roses VPW & Earthshaker VPW.

Have installed VPinballX-10.8.0-1947, PinMAME-3.6.0-929 & B2SServer-2.1.2.

Game loads fine, but when start to play ball seems to stutter, jump & teleport. Making game unplayable.

Now Earthshaker does work fine under "VPinMAME-3.6.0-970-d50ad7b-win-x86" but not "VPinMAME-3.6.0-970-d50ad7b-win-x64". Guns N Roses VPW only works on x64 but same ball stutter, jump & teleport.

Breakshot VPW working fine on both versions.

Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong and how to fix it?

Foot note this this problem. Also need to click mouse button to make table start lights and attract mode.

Assume this problem is focus not on correct program. But again does not happen if use x86 VPinballX-10.8.0-1947.

same isse here:   If the table start, its need a long time. In most of the cases pinuppopper crashed.

What does I've try:

Deleted the nvram

Comment out the array for VR Rooms (to spare memory)

Compile in my own environment

Add in Pinuppopper only the the wheel icon (to go sure, that not a blocking Video/Audio interupt the start)

Result: Same issue still available. Some time the table is loaded, most of the time PinupPopper crashed during loading. Alone in the editor 64bit 10.8 the table is loaded and start.

It doesn't matter if a B2S Screen is loaded  or not. Same behavior.

I like the table fromyou, because the flasher and light are not oberlighed as in other table. Uncomfortable in this position the table is usless for me :( 😞...

What can I do to solved the issue ?

Maybe I've found the reason:

Start the table in the editor, during play press F1 and disable all things which are effected DMD's.

After that (OK I haven't revert the changes on the VR array) I could start the table several times via PinUpPopper without any crashes.

In compare with other table, this table need also much longer time to load (however why), but its look like much better as before.

Hm.... Also yesterday the table couldn't load via Pinuppopper..  Alone via Editor the table was running.  After that, also loading via Pinuppopper was possible.... Something is in the table which effect in a crash(?) during start..., but I've no idea what.... Other table (earthshaker) are starting faster and didn't show this effect. But uncomfortably the table are not looking so nice....

@VPinWorkshop

It is possible to repack the table, but without the big screenshoot picture inside? (same table from others ~100Mb, this table ~ 400Mb)

I believe,  that this file is not necessary (in compare with other table), but it expand the loading time very much and may be (?)  its also the reason, that  the ball lags at some places, also if I disable the DMD in the script (the B2S has an own DMD) and set the option to fast performance... (VPX 10.8 , i5 100400f, RTX3060, 16Mb Ram)
