Defender (Williams 1982) VPW

I was a bit late updating my earlier version to the new 1.3 as didn’t think that there would be much of an improvement but was I ever wrong. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I first laid them on my pin3dmd display after updating my flexdmd to 1.9.1 and checking using flex in the table script. WOW,IS THAT AWESOME! I had no idea what to expect really as I thought it was going to change something on the backglass display. What a great idea this was to make and implement this COOL update. Thanks so much…as always VPW’s work is cutting edge and never fails to impress me. Kudos to the team for another triumph in the VP World and for keeping us who aren’t worthy smiling.😍

This is one of my all time favorite arcade games (The video game), so I was thrilled to see it brought to Virtual Pinball as you can imagine. Very challenging and fun table. The FLEX DMD is beautiful. Totally reminds me of the video game. Smart Bombs! Did I say Smart Bombs.

I was using bigus mod for a wile, but this is next level shit! Great job VPW, love them all but this really surpassed my expectations in many levels. Still looks great on my 86" tv single screen setup (starship enterprise style). Looks fantastic with hauntfreaks b2s big time. vpinball 10.8 (beta 😎 64bit and all systems within a systems all updated to the latest.

I was a big fan of the arcade game Defender, loved it. The sounds and the atmosphere of this simple game. I never knew there was a real pinball machine version of this game! (I had thought someone had made an original table)

So I am mind blown with this recreation. The table looks amazing, the lighting effects as the ball travels around, the latest physics are great, flipper flipping and reacting amazing well. Wow. Oh, and I was so excited to hear the iconic "Defender sounds" - then just the sounds of the table, the ones the ball makes in the outlanes etc.. stunning!

Adding FLEXDMD with the font and animations from the arcade game makes it more real.
Within VR I like that the table looks more 'modern' with FlexDMD enabled.
Nice job  to hide the alphanumeric and change the DMD into a newer table !

Great table upgrade and the Flex DMD is a really nice bonus.
